E61 - battery issue with MfE

Hi,
has anybody experienced this: When I use MfE to sync my email with the company Exchange server - when the battery symbol in the corner of the screen is showing me the battery is good - it still happens sometimes - not always - that when a connection to the server has been established and the syncing begins, the phone says "battery weak" and a second later, it goes off. Then, when I switch it back on after a minute, everything is back to normal, the battery is good again.
If this happens regularly and other users have also had this problem, I might consider switching to a non-free alternative, there are many programs for syncing with an Exchange around. I can' t have this because I actually wanted MfE for when I' m on the train so I don' t have to power up my laptop just for emails and that' s where I can' t "play it safe" by plugging the phone in before syncing...
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

Hendikoischnur

Hi,
my phone just came back from repair, I´m pretty sure they put on the newest available software. My MfE version is 2.07.000 - any newer one available?
I suppose it has to do with the fact that my phone doesn´t recognize my Exchange server´s certificate - the server is not public on the web. We have the certificate only in .cer format. I know that I need a way to convert it to .der to put it on my phone and I´ve looked for a way to do that on the net, but apparently those two are just subcategories of the same format - I haven´t yet found a way to convert from .cer to .der Now it takes ages every time until it starts syncing - telling by the status line - and sometimes it receives all new emails, but it won´t send any I have written in the meantime, so I have to sync again.
Regards,
Friedrich

I have my iPod hooked up to my radio so it usually just charges that way, but I kept having low battery so I decided to charge it all the way and then reboot it and when I rebooted and the iPod turned back on it went straight "to low battery" or "no power remaining" and it never use to do this.

  • IOS 6 battery issue with iphone 4s

My Battery is getting low in drastically

Good to see others have the same problem...  I started with 65% this mornig at 7 am - now, after some whatsapp and aprox. 5(!) minutes of gaiming I'm down to 36% at 10 am...  what's going on?
Under iOS 5 I could use it more than a day including calls, whtasapp, safari, etc etc
I already used some tips&tricks, reseted the phone - nothing helped.
    Have the 4S
I'm really a fan of Apple Products - but this aongoing battery issues with my iPhone are daisappointing me more and more... I do not want to turn of all the services that make the iPhone what it is - otherwise I could use my 6 year old HTC or something....

  • Battery issue with iOS 8.2

i have ipad 4 with retina display. Since my upgrade to newer version today to IOS 8.2 .
I Have notice this more than anything my BATTERY IS DRAINING TOO MUCH FASTER NOW, n heating up faster too.
before that I did had issue with battery since upgrade to IOS 8, but now typing this msg 1% is gone. Same for when playing games, watching movies n other work. The drawing time have increased a lot. And I am using my iPad without my cooler master cover too.
please have this fix ASAP. And where is the health app ?

Same here, i have a similar issue..
My iPhone 32Gb 5s (ios 8.1.3) facing this issue too, the battery precentage jumps when using at 61%-59%, 55%-53%, 31%-29%.
I also facing this issue too when it was 8.1.2..
When the precentage shows 59% on the iPhone, i charges it to the iTunes on my MBP, then precentage on the itunes for a while shows yea, it is true 59%.,
I'm waiting for about 3min, the battery precentage on iPhone shows it STILL at 59%, BUT the precentage showed on iTunes is 60% !! And the next 3 minute, the battery precentage on iTunes shows the battery up into 61%, AND when i look the battery precentage on the iPhone, it was JUMPS from 59% directly to 61% !! (that's not showing 60% on iphone)
I assuming it just an iOS wrong battery precentage. (the battery actually isn't broke)
Because when the iPhone unplugged and the battery precentage on the iPhone shows 61% for a while, ACTUALLY at the moment, the battery precentage is JUST PASS THROUGH 60% first, before it turn to 59%. And yea, there's the main trouble, the 60% battery precentage isn't show on the iPhone.
I already do a hard restart the iPhone, calibrate the battery, and even restore the iPhone but it doesn't work.
i Hope in the next 8.2, this issues can be solved.

  • Battery Issues with Droid Pro by Motorola

My wife and I recently got smartphones. I got the Casio Commando, and she got the Droid Pro.
I've been very happy with the Commando, but she's had nothing but issues with the battery on her Droid Pro. She has to constantly charge the thing, even when she has all the background data, GPS, everything turned off on her phone. It just seems to drain like nobody's business. She tried an app killer program, and that didn't work.
Anyone got any suggestions for a couple of smartphone rookies having battery issues?
Aside from the battery problem, the phones have both been fantastic.

I had similar problems with my origianl Droid and battery.
Verizon replaced my battery and it was very much improved.  I normally have no problem getting a full day with normal use.
Make sure WIFI is turned off as well and that e-mail is NOT set to "Push" mode (constantly checking for e-mail).  I have mine set to check for e-mail every 30 mintues.
Also, be sure to check "settings/application/running Services to see what is using up resources.

  • Battery issue with iphone 4

Hello. I have an iphone 4 a long time with no problem at all. I used ios 4.3.3 , with a lot of calls, mesagges, wifi and browsing and the battery was great. It could last about 3 to 4 days. Then I decided to update to ios 5 , and the battery issues started. I had to have everything switch off in order to last 1.5 day the battery, which is unacceptable because I bought this phone not just to see how beautiful it is, but also to use all its capabilities. I send it to service in order to check the battery and the answer was , the battery is ok and according to apple's specs. I can't charge every day my phone, if I want to use locations or wifi.
So I am asking you, is it possible to downgrade to ios 4.3.3 firmware ?
I liked the battery the way it was...

Ok, is there an email in order to address apple my problem with the battery and request a new one?
As I am living in the EU I cannot arrange and online support. The responsible one's for iphone support are the carriers and I don't trust them.I am still under warranty and I have already send my iphone for repair once but they did nothing. I am sending it a second time and I would like to speak with someone that can give me answers and give me a replace. I don't mind paying for it, but I wan to be fixed.

  • Kelly speca is having battery issues with new iPhone 6 plus.

    Hi this is Kelly Speca,
I have a serious issue with my iPhone 6 plus. While watching movies or rather playing some basic games, the battery drains out very fast. It is a s fast as that I have to charge the phone almost 2 times a day...Also the phone touch screen becomes unbarely hot.So can anyone help me with some suggestions..
    Thanks,
    Kelly Speca.

It may be worth your while to engage with Apple in a chat online or go to an Apple store. It seems as if you have some hardware issues that need to be sorted out
But here is a test I would do to check the battery drain:
    1. Do this at night before going to bed
    2. use app switcher and close all apps
    3. Go into settings - cellular and turn cellular data off
    4. Put phone in airplane mode
    5. Charge phone to 100%
    6. Then un hook it from the charger and let it sit overnight and see what the battery percentage is, in the morning
This will tell you if the battery itself is not performing up to par......

  • Battery Issues with DROID RAZR

This is the 2nd RAZR I've gotten from Verizon, and I'm having the same issues. I have to charge the battery several times a day, even when I'm not using it. The so-called "Smart Actions" do nothing for saving my battery - they just annoy me. The battery gets hot as fire when I'm using the phone for extended periods of time, whether talking, texting, navigating, or playing games/music. I've only been with Verizon since February, and this doesn't give me very much confidence in their products. I'm seriously considering going a different route completely. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issues and how Verizon fixed them.

I was with another provider for years.  I finally switched due to the needed coverage that Verizon provides.  I just got the Maxx so I am not familiar with the battery life of the Razr, but there are several things you can do to help improve the battery life.  Without knowing what all you have tried (with the exception of the smart actions app), I don't want to bore you with things you may have already tried.
Are you in a location that gets good 4g coverage?  If not, then try setting the phone to the 3g coverage, as 3g will not eat up as much battery.  Menu>Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>Network mode>CDMAonly will put you on 3g
Limit the use of background running widgets on your home screens
WiFi uses more battery than 4g also, so only use it as needed and then make sure it is off when not needed.
    Same with bluetooth and GPS.
See what applications you have downloaded that might require running background data.  Some applications run in the background and using data will run down the battery quite a bit as well.
Visit the Android website to see what others suggest about how to save on battery life too.  This can be very helpful and may tell you other ideas that could help.

  • IPod touch 4G battery issue with iOs5...battery goes dry in less than a day after upgrading to iOs 5...why is that?

    hi people out there...!
I have an iPod Touch 4G purchased on november 2010, and since then until two days ago, I had iOs 4.3.x and everything went very good about battery charge...I used to have my iPod on standby mode for several days, and never had a trouble with it...
but two days ago, I upgraded to iOs 5, and then and there, the troubles began...my battery lasts no more than a day, even on standby mode...
NO wifi on, NO bluetooth on, no movies watched, no games played, just using Virtuoso Piano free app for minutes...
is the new iOs 5 having trouble about managing battery?
anyone of you have same trouble?
anyone of you know about a solution?
I was searching on the web about this issue, and several comments I've found out, but I would like to know about it from the Apple themselves...
thanks for your time people...Light to all of us...!!!

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon.  The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight.  Admittedly the labeling is hard to read but, if you use a magnifier and squint your eyes, you'll see "Output 5.1V, 2.1A."  The symbol between volts and amps is the symbol for DC.  Do NOT use an iPhone charger.  Do NOT use an iPod charger.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the exact procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter..
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know whether or not a battery problem exists.
    According to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.
I'm not saying that you don't have a problem.  However, I am saying that we don't know.

  • Battery Issue with iPod Photo - Battery confusion?

is anyone aware of a problem called battery confusion?
my iPod which I am sure had a reasonable bit of battery life on it now appears to be demanding I connect to the mains power. A logo of a "plug and a scocket" indicating the need to connect to the mains is permanantly on my ipod screen.
I have done a soft reset on the device, got the Apple logo but when it repowers it will not get past this "plug and socket" image on the screen.
Normaly I charge my iPod with the usb cable on the PC however this does not seem to do anything and my iPod charger is at my parents house miles away.
Any help with this would be apreciated

The iOS 4 is probably the issue and there isn't much you can do about it.

  • Battery Issues with Mountain Lion

I'm sure I'm not alone here.
Ok, first, a little bit about my machine: mid-2011 MBP, 13", 2.3 GHz Core i5, 4GB of RAM.
Ever since upgrading to ML from Lion, the battery life has decreased exponentially, from 7 hours to 4. The battery capacity dropped at least 2% since the upgrade.
The other problem I have is the ocassional sluggishness that comes with waking up the machine.
So, if you're having similar issues, are you waiting for Apple to fix it with an OTA update or are you doing something about yourself?

10.8 has decreased the battery life. It will be fixed in an update. http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html

  • E61: Compatibility issue with Excel sheets

    Hello,
I am having difficulties transferring an Excel file from my E61 to my laptop running Office 2007: I had originally written
the file in Office 2003 and I have now added two more sheets to the file and renamed the original sheet on my E61. When I tried transferring the file via the
data cable, I got a message saying unreadable contents were found in the file and asking me if I trusted the source. When I clicked OK, the file
was repaired, then I got a second message saying there might possibly be some data loss. Indeed, all the data was gone from
the Workbook. All the sheets I had added were there along with the one sheet that was there originally, but they were all blank. The **bleep** thing about this is that I had already transferred the file back and forth a few times without error.
I then tried with another Excel file that I had originally written on a PC running Office 2007 and it was nearly the same. In that file, all the data seemed
to be there, but the formatting was gone. In yet another file that I had written on the mobile, it was even worse - the numeric values that I had entered in
some cells seemed to be there, but incorrectly formatted while text cells were altogether gone.
Can anybody tell me what I did wrong there?
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    Hendikoischnur
P.S.: The same thing happened when I didn´t transfer the file to the laptop at all, but left the phone connected via cable
and tried to open the file from the memory card in Data transfer mode. Opening the file on the mobile itself, however, was no problem.
P.P.S.: This is really rather important - one of the files in question is a collection of all my personal passwords. Out of security
considerations, I´m thinking of having that file only on my mobile, copy it to the PC at need
and shred that copy afterwards, so it would be quite fatal if
I wasn´t able to transfer the file back to my Desktop or even open it in Data transfer mode.

    Hi,
does nobody have an idea about this? I have already contacted the Nokia Support, but the guy there asked me a lot of questions apt for complete computer-newbies without bringing me any nearer to a solution. I already thought that maybe my memory card is damaged - but then, the phone shouldn´t display the contents flawlessly.
Next I will try if maybe the problem is only with Office 2007 and I can open the files with Office XP or maybe with CALC, although that would be somewhat weird...

  • Battery issues with MAC Book Air (late 2010)

Since I updated my MAC Book Air (late 2010) to the latest OS X 10.6.8. the battery is empty after 2.5 hours. Before it worked for approx. 6 hours. Whats your experience?

  • I'm having battery issues with macbook pro

I've tried calibrating my battery on my fairly new (3 months old) macbook pro, but it has not resolved the issue. Whenever i connect the charger to my mac it momentarily lights up green for a few seconds and then goes to amber which obviously means it's charging. My issue is it never turns green after letting it charge for an hour or two. I've also noticed at the top, my battery icon the percentage time just when it's about fully charged rather than the percentage time go down it goes up. Please help

My issue is it never turns green after letting it charge for an hour or two.
It may not be fully charged after an hour or two, depending on how far down it was drained beforehand. A full charge can take several hours.
I've also noticed at the top, my battery icon the percentage time just when it's about fully charged rather than the percentage time go down it goes up.
If I'm understanding this garbled sentence correctly, you mean that the time estimate until full charge is achieved sometimes increases near the end. This is to be expected, because the rate of charging slows down at the end.
