[E61] Blackberry problem after new version

Hi,
After upgrading via NSU my E61 in new 3.0633.09.04 version, the Blackberry client is no longer work, impossible to reinstall: this software is incompatible with this OS.
Thank you to Nokia and BlackBerry to deliver this new version before testing.
The E61 is a working tool so the BB client is very important !

Had the same problem as you. App would terminate when launched.
Solution to working You Tube app:
-Go to playstore
- Uninstall app (it doesn't remove the app, only removes the update)
- "Et Voila", working again.
This doesn't correct the problem, it's just a workaround for you to be able to use youtube app again.

Hi all
Like to share that my AV Adapter problem is solved ... brought it to Apple Service Center as a last resort after the new iOS v5.1 did not solve mine like some others have theirs solved.
In fact, the Apple Service Center tried my AV Adapter and find that it does not work with their iphone and ipad too and flagged for a replacement.
Just this week collected the replacement and tested that the replaced adapter works !
So this "unsupported device" error msg could also be due to faulty adapter .... although it is unbelievable that a "simple" wired connector could so easily breakdown after 1 time use ! I never did believe that it can be broken so easily as we hardly used it after the first testing with our TV on HDMI.
Closing this chapter of mine finally.

E61 WLAN Problems after update

I updated my firmware to version 2.0618.06.05 and since then I have had problems with WLAN connections for the browser. I can connect but if I try to use a hyperlink the application hangs. I have to go to connection manager and terminate the connection (disconnecting in the browser doesn't seem to do the trick)and then go back to the browser and use the link. This is tedious.
I too lost my contacts when I upgraded. Unfortunately I had not synched with Outlook so I lost two contacts completely.

Thanks. I'm using a 1st-gen Linksys WRT54G upgraded to the last firmware and a newer version of the WRT54G. No idea what firmware it's on though. I'm ready to destroy this phone. Nokia US and Nokia UK really are very short sighted. What's the point of getting a world phone if you can't get support in the country you are in.
Oh well ... time to look for a new "smartphone"

Many problems after new SW Update 10.3.1565 / bad battery life

First feedback about the new software update OS 10.3.1.1565 (Vodafone Germany)
The update is an absolute deterioration, the battery holds much shorter than before (according BlackBerry it should last longer after the update than 25% so far)
Many android apps can not be more often start here then helps only a reboot of the device. The device is very hot since the new software
We have three devices (BB Passport) in all three the same problem.
to the BlackBerry team: please fix this problems as soon as possible.

Hi all new here.
First off I loved my Passport for 2 reasons - it's typing ability and battery life. I could give a heck about apps and all your toys and games so long as the OS was usable then I'm all in. This device did that for me and now I breathe sighs of relief when using my mobile device instead of snarls and swear words as I'd constantly make spelling errors while using a touch screen.
Anyway back to topic. Updated to 10.3.1.1538 three days ago. The bad. There has been a SIGNIFICANT drop in battery life! It's shocking!! The battery monitor chart used to show lines with a slow steady decline of about a 20-30 degree slope lasting 2-3.5 days before charging up again. Now the chart looks like an alpine downhill ski slope and barely makes a day? What the heck Blackberry? Please fix this **bleep** soon.
The good. I can now type in forums without such a massive delay that would render it useless on this device. Before, I would have to wait to type out a full word one by one (about 2 second lag per letter to appear on screen). Now it's fixed and I can type fluidly without pausing for the screen to catch up.
Awesome stuff. I'm not expecting perfection but I have faith Blackberry will come through and fix the battery life issue and at least have it operating at before-upgrade levels.

Skype problems after New update

Hello i was never got problems in skype.This is the first time... After the new update it's updated normally and restarted i signed in and for 1 minutes all normal , after it started to bug the grapics for example the chat messages are showed each in other ,two messages or more in one message and it's laggs , not only with chat is the problem with everything what i open in windows after new skype update.... if i close skype with quit skype everything is working fine.If i click on for example friends on skype half shows the friends half the recent and if i scroll down show one of my friends in list bugged in.I think i can't even tell how looks like if i minimalize a part of skype is on my wallpaper still bugged like v**it.I tryed to reinstall serval times with older versions and with newest versions but the older version's installers doesn't work because show an error messsage:Can't communicate with the server.After reinstalling the newest version i click one skype one of my friends and shows the following error message:Not enough storage to process this command.And the chat windows appears still like v**it.Web skype client works fine i don't know the PC versions of skype why doesn't work please help me.It's urgent. IDLE event problem with newer versions of the flash player

I have an issue that seems to be related to newer versions of the flashplayer in how they handle IDLE events. I have an IDLE event handler that works as expected with flashplayer version 10.0.45.2. With flashplayer 10.2.153.1, the IDLE event does not fire when my flex application is not in focus (browser minized, different browser tab in focus,etc...). Or when it fires, it's usually after a longer lag than normal. Has anyone experienced this issue? Thanks

Say I have a need to create a timer that fires every 10 minutes regardless of whether the player is in focus or not, how do I implement such a timer? Same goes for the IDLE event, I want to be notified if the application has been idle for X minutes regardless of whether it's in focus or not.Prior to 10.2 (and per your reply, 10.1), this all worked fine in flex without needing to adjust for the player being in focus.

Safari Problems Since New Version

So I'm someone who actually likes using Safari and I used to experience very few problems with it. Until recently. This started happening as soon as Apple released the new version (can't remember the version number), the one with the improved reader in the side bar (a feature that I love).
For reference: I always update my stuff, so I have the latest versions of everything that the OS will allow on both comptuers that are experiencing the problem.
One machine is my laptop, running the latest Lion (10.7.2) and the other is an iMac at work, funning the latest version of Snow Leopard. I also often run MacKeeper to clean the system cache's etc.
1. Both computers running Safari exhibit a strage problem in which, at randome times, all the browers reset and reload. I'm trying to find out what causes this, but because it is so random, it's hard to identify the cause.
2. My laptop, a 2008 MacBook (2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2BG RAM), often shows a spinning rainbow ball when browsing in Safari. This is happnening more frequently with the more recent update and the time it spins is longer.
3. Flash-based site seems to have more trouble with Safari. It's not that they don't work, they just are a but slower than they used to be. This is more noticeable on my laptop, which makes me wonder if it's processor or memory issue. Though I have a hard time seeing why, as the problem was not there just a few months ago.
In contrast Firefox does not exhibit these problems, though I admit I do not like using it as much, and it has its own problems.
There may not be an answer to this. My hope is that Apple is monitoring these forums and taking note these bugs. I do not seem to be the only one having them. But, of course, if anyone has any advice, it is appreciated.
Oh, before you answer, "Buy more RAM," know that I am considering doing that, but my experience with past laptops and computers in my 15 years of using Macs is that RAM upgrades deliver almost unoticeable improvements and that answer is more often buggy software.

Yes, Bee, I clear the cache and history on a regualr basis, and I clear the cookies, too. And this was my habit when Safari was working fine for me, so it's not that.
Interesting what you say about MacKeeper. Others on this site seem to detest it, though I haven't see it cause any trouble (I don't use their anti-virus stuff or any realtime protection, though, I only use it for cleaning up duplicate files, etc.). I'll read more about it.
And I installed that way before the new versions of Safari came out and had no problems then, either, so I don't think it's the culprit.

In Designer, old application system disappears after New version and ORA-01562

In Designer 2.1.2, after starting (RON 2.0.24.1.1) Application / New version,
error ORA-01562 occurred (because I have a smaller rollback segment on line).
Now I can't find in repository
old version (1) of my application system,
but new version (2) exists in repository.
Unchecking the 'Show Current Versions Only' check box doesn't help.
Even Designer API statement:
'SELECT id, name, version
FROM ci_application_systems'
displays only new version (2).
Means this that Designer:
- first changes old version number to new version number and commits
- and then copies new version to old?
How to return old version number (without Designer API)?

'When Designer versions it takes a snapshot of the first version
and then changes the originals version number to 2.
If designer run out of rollback segments while creating a new version
it will not show the old version again.
This is a bug (818860). It is in the resolution stage.'

Blackberry Updated to new version and removed all my photos and settings

I am a very upset and stressed out blackberry user who just spent 4 hours updating my Curve 9360 to a newer version only to find out when it was finished that everything - all my settings, text messages and photos - were GONE!! If I was using this phone for business I would be SO upset right now but as it is I am SO upset right now because I have photos on my phone of a loved one who is no longer with us and I really want those photos back.
The device did a back up but I can't open it and I really am not that tech savy about what to do.
It would have been nice if it had told me BEFORE IT WIPED EVERYTHING OUT - to save all my photos - or at least given me an option to put them all on my computer BEFORE WIPING EVERYTHING OUT.
I'm so upset. Somebody please tell me what to do to get my photos back on my phone.

First, please direct your anger appropriately...BB does not release updates to end users, only to the carriers. The carriers then choose if/when to release it to their end users. Hence, your ire toward BlackBerry may perhaps be a bit misdirected?
Now, how exactly did you conduct this update? You have no said, so I cannot know how to help you. Did you use the on-device wireless update? Did you use the Desktop Software via USB? Did you use the BB Update Website via USB? Did you use some other means. Depending on the means you used, your resolution path may be quite different.

Problems with newer version of Netbeans

I get an error message when executing an application written using Netbeans 3.3.2 in the newer version of Netbeans. It says it can't find the servlet that is used.
What should be changed to get it to work with the newer version of Netbeans and why does it work in an older version of Netbeans and not the new version?!!!
The exact error message was:
The requested resource (/servlet/controller/EndUsers/Search) is not available.

this isn't a netbeans problem...
this rather seems to be a problem of packages that can be found or not found.
make sure you have all the correct jars/packages mounted..
try to recompile it first!

Eval function problem in new version

I was using obiee 11.1.1.5 now migrated to 11.1.1.6.
Now there is a report where i use Evalaute function but in new version its giving me following error while running the report
[nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. EVALUATE_SUPPORT_LEVEL inside NQSConfig.INI is not set to support EVALUATE. (HY000)
Previous version i don't rem setting anything in Config file.

Problem deploying new version of 3rd party jar

I have a third party jar file that was recently updated with to a new version. I deleted the old jar file and replaced it with the new version. Modified classpath accordingly. The strange thing is that the only way I could get the classes that use this jar file to work was to recompile them. What am I missing?

When replacing a jar file it is alway a good idea to recompile against it... this ensures backward compatibity and also prevents Incompatible Class Change Errors. Your new 3rd party jar may not be completely backwards compatible, although it is always a good idea to recompile when implementing a new jar that your application depends on.
