E61 - Can sync Calendar but not email...

Very wiered thing happened since last night...
My E61 can sync the Calendar perfectly but not any email. Everytime it finishes the Cal sync and starting for email, it prompts "Unable to sync with server, try again later."
Any idea?
Thanks!

how do you sync it ? What is the sync client you are using in your phone ?

  • Iphone syncs Entourage calendar but not email

I have a mac at home, but use a pc at work that has an Exchanger Server for Outlook.
I set-up my Entourage last week on my mac at home and was able to access and sync properly with the exchange server at work. It's awesome to have my mail and calendar on my mac so I don't have to logout and back in on my windows partition of my MacBook Pro.
HOWEVER, now that I am trying to sync Entourage with my iphone, it only grabs the calendar info but no emails. I have all the boxes checked under sync services.
    Any suggestions? Thanks.

You might be able to isolate this. You say at least 75 out of 100 copy over?
If you could scan your iPhone, Kind of Jot down who got sent over, And who did not. And you might have a possible corrupt contact. If you can narrow that one contact down it possibly will resume to sync the rest.
But a couple other things could be going on. Do you have some of your contacts like in a group? or smart group? Smart groups will not Sync over to the iPhone.
You can also launch address book. Go to File - Export - Address Book Archive and save it to your desktop.
Then double click on the file you saved and say replace all. And Sync again.
Or Delete all the contacts and Groups, Then double click on the archived file you saved, and again choose Replace all. This will write all contacts back into Address Book, And try syncing again.
You can also launch iSync in Applications, Go to iSync Preferences, and Reset Sync History and Sync again and also test Syncing in different USB Ports.
    Hope something here helps out.

  • Selectively enable push notifications calendar but not email?

Is there a way to only enable push notifications for my calendar (Google Calendar through iCal), but not my email (Gmail account in Mail.app)? I want the Mail.app to be setup for Gmail when I want to send email links from apps, etc., but I don't want constant push notifications (otherwise I'd just use the Gmail app). I turned off the Notifications for Mail.app, but the phone still vibrates when a new email comes in.

You're confusing at least 4 different things, - push email, push notifications, notifications and alerts,
"Push notifications" are what certain 3rd party apps use to remotely send info to you.
"Push Email": IMAP and Exchange accounts that automatically send mail to the phone.
"Notifications":  Internal text type alerts when certain events occur such as receipt of mail (push or fetch)
"Alerts": Tones and/or vibrations when an event occurs
    The best I can determine from your post is that you're getting unwanted vibrations when receiving push mail - no other notifications.  If that's the case, in iOS 6 (coming 9/19);
Settings > Sounds > New Mail > Vibration > None

  • Using a Blackberry to Sync calendar but not to get e-mail

My company accepts only Blackberrys for portable calendar access, not Palms etc. If I buy a Blackberry is there a way to sync the calendar to my work computer without having to pay a monthly fee for mobile Internet access or phone service that I don't want or need. In other words is there a way to use a Blackberry just like a plain Palm? Thanks.

I believe if you want to get it directly from your carrier, you'd have to pay the direct price (not the lower price for signing with a 1-2 yr contract) to avoid getting a data plan. Or if you want to take your chances of buying one on ebay or craigslist.
You would then use the Desktop Manager software and USB cable to sync with your computer.

  • Exchange calendar (but not email) -- Receive invites?

I have MobileMe set up for email on my iphone, but I don't use MobileMe's calendar because it can't accept meeting invites. I use mail2Web's hosted Exchange calendar for my calendar, because it can accept invites. So I have those two accounts both set up on my iphone. In the iPhone's settings for the Mail2Web account, do I need to turn "mail" on in order to receive meeting invitations? Or is just having the "calendar" setting turned on good enough? I'd rather leave "mail" turned off, if I can, but from some testing, it looks like I may need both "mailbox" and "calendar" turned on if I want the iPhone to register new meeting invitations.
    Thanks.

Can someone please help - I want to sync my icloud calendar with my iphone calendar.  All of my entries from previous months are on my icloud calendar but not my iphone.  How do I get them back on there?  I have corrected my settings for future entries (I think/hope) but want to put the old stuff back on.

    Try this...
Settings > Mail, Contact, Calendars.  Scroll down to Calendars and set "Sync" as desired.

  • Why can I receive but not send emails

Why can I receive but not send emails on my i pad?

Perhaps the outgoing mail server settings are incorrect or incomplete.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

  • Email was working fine. Now not working even though nothing changed. Deleted acct turned off iPad  turned on and added account again. Can receive mail but not send. Sometimes says relay not allowed sometimes different message.

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails

    Hi,
Lion has changed the way reminders (todos as was) work. They now seem to need to be in a seperate calendar.
In iCal open the File menu and select New Reminder List... and select where to put it.
    Best wishes

    Hi,
It may pay to send a Screen Shot of the Connection Doctor info.  (see the Window Menu)
It would seem the IMAP or POP side is logged in bit the out going STMP server is not.

You can sync your iPod with multiple computers, but what can be synced is very limited.  See this article for more details.

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

  • Why only videos on iphone can be deleted but not the music or sync photos?

Why only videos on iphone can be deleted but not the music or sync photos?

Because that is the design of the iphone.
Music and photos are added/deleted via the sync process.
