E61 - no support for push email

Despite the marketing info saying the E series will support Seven Always On, Visto, Goodlink, Intellisync and Blackburry Connect only S60 V2 versions are available for all of these push email solutions. This means for the time being push email won't work on the E61....

An alternative for push e-mail is Emoze. You are notified on the handset every time you receive an e-mail but it does require a always on broadband connection as the messages are pushed to your handset as soon as they are received on your PC. Have a read on their website www.emoze.com for compatiblity and you require Windows 2000/XP with Microsoft Outlook 2003/XP and all the latest service packs installed.

  • EWS Protocol Support for Agent Email Integration on upcoming UCCX Versions

    Hi Everyone,
One of my customer wants to know, In the upcoming versions of UCCX, whether the EWS(Exchange Web Service) protocol is supported for Agent Email Integration or not?
I have done some inital findings for the current versions & it supports only IMAPv4 (for message retrieval) and SMTP protocols (for message sending).
    Thanks,
    Kumar.V

    Hi,
the way I would do it: Remedy would ask UCCX to place the agent into a specific Not Ready state (this prevents incoming calls) and then transfer a task to an agent. When the task is solved, Remedy would check for the number of calls waiting in UCCX and would leave the agent in Not Ready (and ultimately assign another task), or would change the agent state to Available.
If you want interruptible Remedy tasks (the agent is Available all along and when a call is transferred to him, the Remedy task automatically pauses) - I am afraid this is not possible.
About programmatic access to UCCX: if you have never heard about it, it's not easy - you might want to talk to a consultant.

  • Support for multiple email addresses in struts

    Hi,

  • No alerts for push email to sub folders with activesync

    Hello,
I successfully set up my exchange server to push email to my iphone and my inbox and all subfolders show up great! I have rules set up with exchange that automatically put certain emails into sub folders, but I am not getting alerts when these emails arrive. I am getting alerts when anything comes into my inbox, but I have to check each subfolder manually in order for the messages to sync up. Any idea why this is happening?
    Thanks
    -Cody

When you are setting up push, it is really exiting to see that exchange will deliver emails to the iphone. I am an IT consultant and have multiple clients with multiple subfolders and it would be extremely difficult to keep up with all emails if they are only pushed only in my inbox. I have also encountered that if you reply to a message regardless if it is in your inbox or subfolders, the Outlook client will not display the replied arrow when you return to the office. It gets confusing after replying to multiple emails from the iphone and not knowing if you replied to a certain email or not. This is also frustrating because my Windows Mobile phone did this with no problem. Any one know when a fix for these issues will be released?

  • Not getting notifications for push emails

I have an iPhone 5s with IOS 7.1.2 installed. I have a mail account set up pointing to my company's Exchange server. I will frequently not get notifications of new email until I open the email app on my phone. I won't get them when the email actually arrives in my mailbox (which is the purpose of push technology). Any ideas why I'm not getting these notifications? I have alerts turned on (banner, badge app icon, show in notification center, show preview), so ideally, I believe I have everything I need turned on. The account is also configured as 'Push' in the 'Fetch New Data' section of the menu.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Hi fletchi18,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like there is an issue with your iPhone receiving push notifications from your companies Exchange server. The article linked below has a lot of great information and suggestions which will resolve most issues like the one you described.

  • Support for Outlook email coming any time soon?

I have heard rumours that Apple is working on a solution for all the Microsoft Outlook email business users. Does anyone have any more concrete information on this and an estimate to when this could happen?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
BlackBerry does not decide what apps, of the millions out there, will be compatible with it's devices. Rather, the app developers choose, for their app, which devices they will support. Hence, the place to make your inquiry is with the developer of the app...to find out when/if they plan to support your specific BB model and OS level.
    Good luck!

  • Iphone mobileme push email

I have 2 Mobileme accounts. Both are setup on my Macbook Pro and my Iphone. However, in my Iphone only one of them allows for Push email. Both are paid for services and not trial accounts. Any workaround?
    -ajay

'Push-IMAP' isn't an Open Standard, so I'd avoid it. I'm not sure the iPhone supports Push-IMAP either (there where some rumours after the initial phone announcements that it would with Yahoo! mail).

  • BT Mail and push email on iPhone

I have just been migrated to BT Mail from BT Yahoo. On both my iPhone 4s, running iOS7, and my iPad, the BT Mail does not give the option for push email, just fetch. Does BT Mail not support push email? I need my push email back - fetch, even every 15 mintes is not sufficient for my needs, and it a backward step. I want email pushed to my devices as soon as it hits the server. Can this be fixed? Also I have a problem with the BT website, when I log in with my email address and password it takes me from the BT.com website to BT Yahoo, which no longer contains my emails. Why is this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The new BTMail does not support push email.
If you have been migrated your emails are no longer on Yahoo's servers so they won't be there. You need to set up your BTID
Try using this link to log into your emails. If you have just been migrated it should take you through the migration process.

  • Why can't I push emails to 2 different MobileMe accounts on the iPhone?

Makes no sense since I can set up a Yahoo! Mail account as push alongside a single MobileMe account with push mail as well.
Every time I set it up, the second account only gives me an option for Fetch or Manual.

I have the same problem. Here's my setup:
    1) I have my own MobileMe account that I use for Mail, Contacts and Calendar syncing on my iPhone and Mac
    2) My wife uses my MobileMe account for Contacts and Calendars so we use the same calendars and contacts. We just signed her up for her own MobileMe (trial) account to use just for her own PUSH email.
On her iPhone calendars and contacts sync perfectly via push. When I added her own MobileMe account to use for mail it only gives her the option for either FETCH or MANUAL! This makes no sense whatsoever. I figured it might have something to do with having my MobileMe account associated with her iPhone as well, so I deleted that association but still no options but FETCH or MANUAL for her mail. Prior to getting her own MobileMe account, I her her set up with YahooMail for push email and she was given the option for PUSH.
All of this makes no sense and is highly frustrating! I wonder if there is a reason and a fix? Anyone?

  • Mountain Lion push email - server name best practice

Would anyone be able to guide a newbie with advice on server naming for a mac mini?
I have a public web presence but want to direct incoming email through the server for push email to iOS devices, i.e iPhones.  The server will also be a VPN to the internal network, which will be running a hybrid of mac and win7 clients.  The company webserver will remain at the webhost.
Should I simply call the host machine server.mydomain.com or for example, mailserver.mydomain.com?  I have read some wiki's and advice for naming conventions that have left me confused.  I think I can handle the setting up of the CNAME, A and MX records.  But on the latter point, if someone has a simple English reference they want to offer up, then I would be most grateful.
I want to adopt a sound strategy as my first foundation stone.  Or am I paranoid with this parameter?
    Many thanks in advance.

Okay, I had this problem and solved it as follows:
    1. Deleted any non-functioning iCloud-IMAP accounts from Mail's Preferences. I had two that were working fine, so I left those in place. One of those was the primary iCloud account on my Mac, i.e., the account used for "Find My iPhone/Mac/iPad" and iCloud storage, etc.
    2. Then I quit Mail and restarted my computer.
    3. Went to my other devices and made sure the primary account was the same one there. [Note: It was not -- the primary iCloud account was different on my iPhone versus my Mac, I think this discrepancy might have been the source of the problem, but I don't know.]
    4. I also made sure my wife's Mac uses a different primary iCloud account, one that is not on my machines, although we share one secondary iCloud Mail account (which is not the primary on any device -- it is always a secondary account).
    5. Then, following MChannel's advice upthread, I went into System Preferences > Mail, Contacts & Calendars, and added the formerly problematic iCloud accout that way. I have everything turned on for my primary iCloud account. All of the secondary accounts only have Mail turned on (although I don't think that matters -- you can turn on the other features that are available there if you like).
    6. Opened Mail and voila! -- everything is working fine. Accounts are all set up properly without me even opening Mail's Preferences.

  • Push email on ipod touch 1st gen. firmware 2.1 fails !!!

    hi to all
I own an ipod touch 1st. gen. 8GB firmware 2.1 which fails in push email and a full featured mobileme (dotmac) account -
Since a while, email push fails, this never happend before i updated to firmware 2.1 !
Before ipod touch beeped in sleep mode when a email was pushed, now in 2 of 10 email it beeps sometimes, it only beeps when its not falling asleep
I wonder about that, does mobileme push email still work, or is it the firmware 2.1?
Can anybody help me please, searched the internet for days but did not find an correct help or answer for ipod touch 1st gen. push mail....
    Thanks a lot tobias

ok, what i 've found out meanwhile:
Since firmware update 2.1 wifi switches off, when ipod touch 1st gen. falls asleep, or is locked - so there is no working wifi connection for pushing email and of course no beep when a email arrives (in case no email arrives)
That's a superbad bug in 2.1, and i 've to point out that this bug did not exists in vers. 2.0 ! There is no official solution or update yet and I don't know if there will ever be one...
The only way to revive push email (and beeping), while sleep or lock mode is unofficial !!
    and a application called "insomnia"
The solution with insomina works fine and like pushing and beeping in firmware v 2.0 !
For using insomina, google cydia and quickpwn !
    Greetings Tobias

  • IPhone 4S - Push: for what email providers ?!

I have an iPhone 4S - my question is about PUSH mail ...
Does iPhone support PUSH only with some email providers -  if yes, where can i find a list with these email providers ?!
The PUSH feature is provided by iPhone, or by the providers of email hosting ... to be more precise, iPhone can support PUSH as long as the email provider have this feature built-in ?!
    Thank you.

Please, i want a full answer. I thank you for your support randers4 but its not really what i was hoping for ...
Is it or is it not an iPhone feature ?! Or is it a feature of the email providers / email hosting services ?!
For example if i choose to use as email hosting provider an unknown company, a company unknown as in "not on iPhone's for sure email providers with PUSH built-in" will i have PUSH for it ?! Who must provide this feature ?! Apple ?! And if so, it does for all the email providers, or only for a few best-known providers ?! And again, if so, where can i find a list !?
Do all IMAP accounts, no matter who will give you the hosting, support PUSH ?!

  • Is Yahoo Push email working consistently for anyone?

There are several threads about people having problems with Yahoo Push email. Many solutions have been offered, but posts seem to indicate done of them work consistentl and over time. I am wondering if this is just an isolated problem some people (including myself) are having, or if it is really widespread and not working for all or most people, but a lot of folks just don't care. People who have reported this to Apple and/or Yahoo seem to be told this is not a known problem.
So, if you do have Yahoo Push email working consistently could you give a brief reply to let the rest of us know it is something unique to our setup, use, or account.
    Thanks.

Call iPhone tech support, and ask them to log a case for you. Be warned, however, that this doesn't seem to help... but let us know if Apple are able to provide an update that's worthwhile. Last time I called I was put through to a product specialist who -seemed- really interested in the issue, asked me to try some things (none of which helped, and all of which have been tried here by others) and call them back with results. Tried them, called back two or three times and left a message with the results, never heard back from them...
On previous calls I'd been told it was probably a Yahoo problem and to call them... Yahoo pointed me back to Apple. A common result from what I read here.

  • Best push email domain solution (Google apps for Domains?)

What email service provider offers the best iPhone push email support. Obviously, Mac OS X Server 10.6 would be the best, but as far as third party options that can host your domain's email accounts and get you push on the iPhone and IMAP in Apple Mail?
Looking at Google Apps for Domains, but concerned about how it has to have two of each message to work with IMAP correctly.
    Thanks for any thoughts!

    Zimbra is another potential solution

  • Exchange 2010 and Mavericks Push Email Support

    Hi,
I am new to OS X and Mac, but not Apple.  I've searcehd high and low and can't find an answer to this question though I suspect the answer is "no" based on what I've been able to decipher from what I've experienced and read.
Should I expect push email capability with OSX Mavericks and Exchange 2010 using the Apple Mail application, or any other application for that matter?  It seems that the best I can do is fetch every one minute, but I am assuming that is not a very efficient method of checking mail, sepeciall on a corporate-sized email account.
I have an iPhone and an iPad and both of those receive push emails without question.  I am suspect this is because they use Activesync and the Apple Mail application does not.
    Thank you,
    Paul McGarr

I can confirm. I was able to add a corporate Exchange account to the OS X accounts handler before Mavericks and I assumed it was being pushed to mail.app since the account would show mail, contacts, calendar and tasks sync in the accounts handler. However, I always suspected there was problem with real "pushing" of email.
My work Exchange account email would arrive approx 1 - 5 minutes slower to mail.app than any other service. Email, calendar, contacts, tasks push was near instantaneous to Outlook 2011 on the same MacBook Pro, a PC with Outlook 2010, an iPad and an Android phone.
I believe the mobile devices defaulted to the Active Exchange Sync protocol on the server. I know that OS X doesn't support this but iOS does, so we can rule them out of the equation. You can see this when you add an Outlook.com account to an iOS device. It will push mail, contacts, calendars and tasks in real time if you send yourself a test email. OS X will only fetch mail and notes in the settings options.
I'm guessing there was always a problem with OS X using any Microsoft protocol to retrieve mail but it is FAR more obvious now. I bet Apple set standard corporate Exchange accounts to fetch and it never truly pushed anything. Of course the AES protocol has never been supported by OS X otherwise it would use it!
I can't receive Exchange email at all in Mavericks mail.app unless I manually press the check mail button now. Don't forget the server auto discover problems when on the work LAN vs at home.
I use Windows 7, OS X, Android and iOS devices frequently. I've been looking to commit to a single unified OS/application ecosystem. THE FIRST REQUIREMENT IS THAT THE SYSTEM SUPPORTS MY WORK EXCHANGE PUSH SYNC. I have multiple other accounts like outlook.com, yahoo.com, aol, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. I find OS X is the most intuitive with the account handling baked into the OS. I cannot make the commitment to commit to the Apple ecosystem when the default account handler doesn't support Exchange push.
