E61 Web app crashes
Web app on E61 will not work...the error reads "web already in use!" when it's not. Help.
If you mean with junk that there comes lot of meaningless characters to screen then the reason for this is in Opera's web servers. Those web servers probably haven't got correct mime type set up for that download file. For example if server has jar (java middlet) file and mime type set to forexample text/html then web browsers will try to display that file as html and not as downloadable jar file. By the way did you try to load actually Opera Mobile browser not the Mini browser. Because it seems that when tried to load the Opera Mobile (sisx installation) version from one of their servers there comes those character to screen. So this means that they haven't mapped correct mime type to their server for that *.sisx file.
To that web in use problem. Some times when I have had these problems I have done these steps to get the problem away:
- Booted the phone again?
- If that didn't help then the one option is to reset the phone to factory settings meaning that all the data that have been saved to phone will be lost (web bookmarks, contacts, calendar, installed games and applications and etc..). To do this input the short cut code for factory settings restore *#7370# in phone idle state and give 12345 as Lock code or then if you have changed the code give that code instead. This prosess will restore original settings that were in phone when you purchased it.
- If those won't help it might be that the phone needs new sw installation.

I make a horrible mistake with a slider, and i am new in this, so, there is a way to restore to the ORIGINAL template, i use restore to default and all crash, all the web app crash completely
PLEASE@The first thing I would recommend checking is to make sure that the SharePoint environment you are restoring the backup into is patched to the same version as the environment that the backup was created in. If those versions do not match, you will not be able to restore that backup into your new environment.
You may also want to try stopping or restarting the SharePoint Timer Service on your target farm before running the restore operation, it sounds like it might be locked by another operation.

Installing Office Web Apps Server 2013 fails with app-crash during install.
Hi Folks,
I am trying to install Office Web Apps Server 2013 with SP1 on Server 2012 R2. The installation gets half way through then crashes (it just says a problem has occurred).
The Event log only contains the message:-

Does anyone know how to install this product on Server 2012 R2?Hi,
I’m afraid that this case is off-topic in this forum, About installation of Office Web Apps Server 2013, I suggest you posting your case to

CS3 Web Premium Setup.app crashing on launch
Trying to install CS3 Web Premium on a Mac intel w 10.5.2 and I cannot get the installer to launch. It did not auto run as the instructions indicated and there was no Setup MacOS file that I could find on the dvd, but I did find Setup.app. Launching this fails almost instantly with an error:
[0x0-0x16016].Setup[241]: /System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Support/LaunchCFMApp[241] Launch failed with error code -2857 (cfragCFragRsrcErr) for application /Volumes/Adobe CS3 Web Premium/Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium/Setup.app/Contents/MacOS/Setup
The installer does not leave a log file in either Library or that is accessible via the Console. I've tried installing from a different admin account and also as root. Same result in both cases. I also attempted to run the actual Setup executable that is within the Setup.app bundle via Terminal and was told "cannot execute binary file".
Thinking i might have had some previous adobe junk, i've also run the adobe clean up script at level 4. No effect on the crashing installer.
Any ideas?I am installing a brand new MacPro with OS X 10.5.2. It is a machine upgrade for the user so all of her previous user files were also transferred during the setup. Two days ago we got our new CS3 site license upgrade discs and I was using it to install a fresh copy of CS3 Standard. We had a 5 user license disc that we were using to test before deploying CS3 to the users so we know that we can install from that disc, unfortunately it is a CS3 Premium disc and a different serial number.
Also of note, once the setup.app crashes (actually it never really launches) other apps, like Safari also will no longer launch. I have repaired disk permissions and the next thing I will try is installing as another user, but it looks like you guys have already tried that.
Any help would be wonderful, this user returns from vacation on Monday!
Thanks,

Email either won't connect or says no content. My web apps don't work at all since 2.0.2, they just crash before they ever start. And when I have 3g coverage, it crashes, and it really it was not faster than my old iphone. Do I have a bad phone? I am restoring now, we'll see if that does anything.
Most people posting here have a problem, but not all.
I'm not experiencing any of the problems provided by the OP. I'm also not having any 3G connection problems.
To the OP, if a Restore from your iPhone's backup does not resolve it, try restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If there is a problem with your iPhone's backup, you are restoring the problem when restoring your iPhone from the backup.
If neither restore option resolves your problems, call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby. -
3Gs crashes when using web apps
3Gs, iOS 5.0.1. My phone crashes really quickly everytime I want to use an app that connects to the internet. Whether it be Safari, or a game, or a chat app, no matter what. If I accidently try to switch from one app to another (both web apps) it sure crashes the startup of the second app. After relaunch the app and a minute or so into it, the phone dies on me. Regardless battery reserve (even 90% is not enough) Restart the phone won't work unless attached to a charger. Being on WIFI postpones the effect, but it will happen eventually (rather quickly too).
Quite annoying. Rumour has it that Apple knows this and an update is being developed, but that rumour has a beard already. When will this be fixed?
PS I can't update my product description to 3GS, iOS 5.0.1 in this Apple website. The option iOS5 or iOS5.0.1 does not come up.....I'm having the same problem too, which is why I came here. I already did the hold the sleep button down, reset the phone, restore the phone from iTunes, but am still experiencing them SAME problems. I've removed some music and apps to see if it helps, and I have over 4.5 gigs left, but still it shuts down around 70 - 80% powered up, shuts down, goes to the screen that has an apple showing and then shuts down again. When I hit the power button or home button nothing happens for maybe if I'm lucky, 20 minutes, then I can enter my password but then it shows the battery almost dead and shuts off again. Mine is also 2 years old. I hope someone can offer some advice on what to do to fix it - or where to go to fix it. Thanks for sharing your problem.

I have a project where I use "Microsoft.SqlServer.Types" that loads an assembly manually as part of the package.
The problem arises when I publish this via Visual Studio. I get an error that the file is already in use from WebDeploy. This is probably because of how the assemblies are loaded or something that makes them locked.
Repro steps:
Create an ASP.NET web and add nuget package "Microsoft.SqlServer.Types" and make sure you load the assembly using the provided ReadMe.txt in your App_Start.
Deploy to Azure Web App.
Deplay again when the app is up and running - you'll get the error.
Does WebDeploy have an option for shutting down the site when updating or something like that? This error also apply to any WebJobs that also use the "Microsoft.SqlServer.Types" package.there is a way to take the site down during publishing please read through this blog post

We have a client that was running windows 2008 server. A previous IT person had setup their system, so we were walking into a situation where there were many unknowns. Server was mainly handling emails only, and we were able to get their exchange
database off and export PSTs to hosted exchange via microsoft.
Everything went fine with that, however one user said that he used to access files on the server via the remote web app as he described. He would go to the following url:
https://mail.theirdomain.com/remote/menu.aspx#
and he would use his login and then he would see several links to folders. He could then click on those and see his desired files.
We were able to get the server booted again, however we could not find any of the files he described on it at all, leaving me to suspect that perhaps this remote link was accessing another PC.
We have the old server up and running, however the link above is no longer active because we have pointed the domain to the new hosted exchange server. As I am still learning and my boss wanted me to research this on my own and figure out how to find
out where these files are located. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Just as a note I did try access mail.localhost.com/remote/menu.aspx# on the server but this did not work. Is there any way in the IIS 7 management console to figure out where this was pointing to?I figured it out - The server was using sharepoint to host these files. I browsed localhost:987 and opened the sharepoint site locally on the server. They had several documents to be exported, however when clicking on Open in Explorer it was
giving an error that local client was not configured. I installed Desktop Experience and after that was able to open it in Windows Explorer and copy all files off. -
Exchange Office Web Apps Preview Does not work in OWA (web)
I have setup Exchange 2013, Lync 2013, SharePoint 2013, IIS as a Reverse Proxy Server, an Office Web Apps Server, etc, etc. Everything is setup to use SSl (https) and everything works great EXCEPT... Office Web Apps... and ONLY via Exchange and OWA (exchange
browser-based access).
I can login via the intranet or Internet for everything (SharePoint, Outlook, and Lync) and Office Web apps functionality works flawlessly for all... except for Exchange and OWA.
If I login in to a web-based Exchange seeion, everything works right and I can see the various attachments.
For all other scenarios, Office Web Apps works (SharePoint, Outlook, Lync, etc), but in owa (web version of Outlook) I see that Office Web Apps is triggered (I see the Office Web Apps text and the dots that indicate something is loading)... However, it just
crashes and eventually times out (see image):
If I look in the error logs for the Web Apps Server I see this:
Essentially, it looks like that owa uses a distinctly different path to load the attachments into the Web Apps Server such that the file is not found!
What is happening? Why does Exchange OWA (web version of Outlook) somehow use a different path that fails to locate attachments in Office Web Apps, but Lync, Outlook, and SharePoint (both in Intranet and Internet) work perfectly?
This is VERY frustrating. Can anyone help?
Please?
Clearly, the reverse proxy is working, the certificates are working, OAuth is working, etc. It seems there must be some variable/path that is only defined in Exchange for OWA that uses a different path for Office Web App attachments and that path is WRONG!
Please, help!

After iOS 8 update, the mail app crashes on iPhone 4S
I've updated to iOS 8 this afternoon and now the mail app crashes. It will open the first time after a power off and restart of my 4S but after that first time it will crash every single time I try to open it. I can only reopen it after I've done a full reboot of the phone, and then only once. Is there a quick fix or do I get to wait for an update?
I tried all of the suggested solutions mentioned in this thread, and finally did a full reset according to Apple's instructions, step by step (as an engineer and 40 year computer user I am good at that stuff).
Sorry to say after the several hour process, not one of the problems I have experienced have been solved.
IPad 2 is still running slow and choppy.
Some Apps do not even load.
Website pages will not load and result in error messages. One particularly annoying Safari error on loading a new web page is: "a problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded".
MY iPad 2 worked perfectly for the last couple of years through several updates that performed seamlessly, but this one and the two most recent corrected updates have rendered my iPad so degraded that I don't think I will be using it much anymore. I originally bought the tablet because of it's smooth GUI and fast performance, the reliability and error free environment, and Apple's proven record for effective updates. That's all gone now. -

I have a problem in Yosemite where many but not all Apple apps crash when launched. This only happens for one user and includes Messages, Pages, Dictionary, Notes, and Text Edit among others. Not effected are Mail and Safari. There is also a problem selecting iCloud apps for that user in System Preference where I can't get some selections to stick. Other users are fine.
I have tried various methods for reseting permissions for that user Home folder including Terminal commands while logged in as that user and as Root. Also did the ACL reset from root > Utilities.
It seems to be a problem outside of that user's Home folder. I haven't tried deleting and recreating that user account.
Below is the beggining of the error message I get when launching the problem apps. I can't post the complete error message if anyone is interested.
Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL)

This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select
▹ Restart
from the menu bar.
