E61i with Bluetooth car kit - How do make calls wi...

Hi, I have a new E61i and find most things spot on but find I can make and receive calls through the car kit while its connected fine. My problem comes when the phone goes into the locked mode after the set period of time.
At this point, although I can still receive calls I am unable to make them through the kit. It shows its trying to dial out then come up straight away with call ended. Unlock the phone and it all works again.
With a full function car kit now not working 100% its a bit frustrating!! I have tried most of the settings within the bluetooth section of the phone, e.g. the remote SIM mode, but still no joy.
Any help would be great.

OK, I solved this for myself after much playing about with the menus and settings. Why oh why is their no direct support from RIM without haveing to purchase a support package?? This is clearly a topic that should be covered in the intruction manual sent out with the ohones, anyway this how to do it in case anyone has the same problem.
1/ Make a bluetooth pairing.
2 go to "options", press OK
3/ go to "Networks and Connections", press OK
4/ go to "Bluetooth Connections" press OK
5/ select the paired device and press OK
6/ select "Full Menu" press OK
7/ select "Options" press OK
8/ scroll down to "Services and deselect the tick in "SIM Access Profile"
9/ Press return and select "Save" press OK.
The phone now works perfectly with my built in car kit.
Sirely it is about time phone and car manuefacturers got together to develop a system that works on all car kits.

  • 9630 does not connect with Bluetooth Car Kit Speakerphone

Whenever I try to make a call with my Motorola T215 Car Kit Speakerphone, my BlackBerry 9630 Tour "smart"phone says, Connection to Motorola T215 failed.  I have followed the pairing instructions that came with the car kit precisely and repeatedly, but still get the same result.  To add even more enjoyment to my experience, my connection with the Bluetooth device seems to go on and off as it pleases.  I figure the only way to put an end to this issue is to smash it with a hammer, but if you know of another solution, I would appreciate it.  My carrier is Sprint, and OS version is 4.2.0.285.

The first thing I would suggest doing it running an upgrade on your device software. To do this you will need your USB cord and access to the internet.
Go to: www.blackberry.com/update and then follow the prompts to update your device software.
This should back up your device data automatically, but to be save incase of any situation that may arise do a backup of your device through the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
Once the update is done, test the Bluetooth connection.
    Hope this helps.

  • Alltel 8130 and Nissan Bluetooth Car Kit

HELP!!! New Nissan Altima with Bluetooth Car Kit.  I am able to pair no problem, make and receive call without a hitch.  Downloaded phone book with ease.  The problem is whenever I use the phone with the car kit after I exit the car the phone locks up, keys do not respond and I have to do a battery pull to reset the phone.  No problem until I use the phone in the car again (with the bluetooth kit).  Any help or suggestions are appreciated.  I do have the latest OS (4.5.0.89).
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Problem Solved: I went to Alltel store and they adviced I do a manual disconnect from the phone before I turn off the car, this seemed to work so since I placed ther Bluetooth icon on the frontpage of my phone it seems to be working fine without having to manually disconnect.  I do not quite understand why it works now but it does.

  • Unable to manage volume with my bluetooth car kit

I have a bluetooth car kit Parot CK-3000 and the volume is very low and I can't change it with my new Nokia phone 6120. With my previous phone (Sony-Ericsson, SPV) it was running well but with my new phone I can't change the volume of my bluetooth car kit and I can't manage it with the specific menu.
Can you help-me on this subject ?
    Thank's in advance.

    Hi fct24
I don't know which firmware version your phone is running, key in *#0000# on standby screen as there have been several posts in the past concerning this issue.
Do you have to set Parrot up as an "enhancement", I know "headset" will be listed but is there a "car kit" option?
Is Parrot using their latest software?
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

  • Using iPhone with Pontiac GTO - 2004-2006 with Holden Bluetooth Car Kit

I have a 2004 Pontiac GTO with a Holden Bluetooth Car Kit. I can pair the phone with the bluetooth kit but I can't activate the device when I receive or place a call. My previous phone (Motorola RAZR) had no issues. Has anyone had the same problem and been able to solve it?

I just sold my Motorola RF-850 that was hooked up to my GTO today because it wasn't working with my IPhone.
I can't believe you paid for the Holden one.
    Anyway good luck.

  • Pairing iPhone 3 with Samsung HKT450 Bluetooth Car Kit

I just bought a Samsung HKT450 Bluetooth Car Kit from New Egg. The device goes into pairing mode, but my iPhone 3, when I set it to search, it searches then goes back to off not showing the device to pair. I can repeat this everytime while the device is in pair mode. What am I doing wrong?

I tried that. My wife has two bluetooth earpieces, a Motorola and Jabra. Neither paired. The funny thing is the Samsung device paired with both of her Blackberrys. Go figure!

  • What is the best Bluetooth car kit for Siri?

I have an iPhone 4S and I do a lot of calling for work from my car.  I need a really good Bluetooth car kit that plays well with Siri.
I bought the Motorola Roadster and it is very inconsistent.  Sometimes people can hear me very well and other times I am cutting out so badly no one can understand me.  When I am making business calls this is unacceptable.  I can always hear the person I am talking to very clearly on the Roadster.
Siri does not understand me through the roadster and it can take forever to finish a request.  Usually I just get the phone out and do it myself, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a hands free car kit.
Playing music would be a nice feature but the most important feature is call quality.
Thanks.  Any help you can offer will be very much appreciated.

  • Bluetooth Car kit

Is anyone having an issue with the iphone synching with your bluetooth car kit. I have an after market motorola HF850 car kit from my other blackberry pearl and I did not have any problems with that 200 dollar phone. Now with this 400 and change phone I can't do the things that my half the price phone could.
    Help

I've tried connecting to my bluetooth kit, now that I've upgraded to 1.1.3, and I was able to make one call successfully. However, that was it. Otherwise, the phone does the same things as before - mainly it keeps trying to connect to the BT kit.
APPLE: _fix this, please_. We didn't drop all this money on a phone so that it wouldn't work with our bluetooth accessories (which, BTW, the car kit wasn't exactly chump change, either).

  • N73 and voice dialing using Bluetooth car kit

    Hi,
I have a N73 using v3.0638.0.0.01, its a vodafone phone. I have it set up with my CK-7W car kit and it works great except when I want to make a call. If I try and use voice dialling through the car kit it never finds my contact and simply say "no match found". If I put the phone directly in front of me and oice dial using the car kit it works.
Everything worked fine until the firmware was updated and I have restred my contacts from backup. The problem here is not that voice dialling isn't working, per se, but that it wont interact with the car kit since the firmware was updated.
    Any ideas folks.
    Chris

I have an iPhone 3G 16gig. I just bought a Kensington Liquid AUX Bluetooth Car Kit, paired everything up, and tested it out in the garage. The only downside (at that point) was that the included remote only controlled start and stop, not forward and back tracks. Later I tested it on the road and thought my ears were playing tricks on me when I heard the music changing pitch. Once I figured out it wasn't me, I changed tracks and even tried streaming radio and still, pitch up/pitch down, song faster/song slower. I noticed it got markedly worse when I tried to use another program while having the ipod play in the background, which makes me think it is a hardware issue; possibly the processor speed or "RAM" or however iPhones work. I am planning on trying it with my ipod and a bluetooth attachment I have for it to see if the music distorts. If it is the hardware on the phone, looks like apple forgot to mention as a selling point that the faster innards are needed for true A2DP stereo bluetooth! Another part of their brilliant scheme I guess!

  • Bluetooth car kit connectivity issue after IOS 8.1.2 update

After the IOS 8.1.2 update I cannot connect my IPhone with the Bluetooth car kit (hands free) system of my car.
Before the update connectivity was perfect, after the IOS 8.1.2 update the car kit does not find the IPhone any longer.
To solve this issue I deleted both the car kit and the IPhone from the paired devices list of both (my car and the Iphone) and tried to pair them again - no success. The car kit just does not finds the Iphone any longer.
    Please, help!!!

Just to share the way I finally solved the problem - might be helpful to somebody else.
I didn't noticed before that the IOS 8.1.2 update changed automatically the name of my Iphone from the one I've given to it before to just "Phone".
I re-named the Iphone (just gave a new name to it by going to Settings -> General -> About -> Name) and then the car kit managed to find the phone very quickly via Bluetooth.

  • Nokia C7-00 & Kufatec FISCON Bluetooth Car Kit

    Hello everybody!
I just updated my C7-00 with latest Symbian Anna 022.014.
Very nice user interface, updated browser, all applications 100%-compatible.
I do have a serious problem with my Bluetooth car kit (Kufatec FISCON using CK5050+ chipset, SW 3.23.5). The phone pairs with the kit, synchronizes content (contacts and call registers). When I disconnect (turn off ignition and leave the car), the phone hangs and displays the bluetooth connection as already established.
Things were working very well with latest Symbian version (014.XXX).
I think this is a bug in Anna Bluetooth stack. Does anyone have any clue?
The problem occurs once the phone contacts are synchronized with the car kit.
When I disconnect just after pairing (before complete synchronization) the phone behaves normally (ie. connection is dropped).
Is it possible that the phone does not complete disconnect request from car kit?

    Hello,
    Did you solve the problem?
Too late I saw your post, but my problem is completely the same:

  • 6300 failed connection to bluetooth car kit

New 6300 will not pair with my motorola bluetooth car kit. Never finds device.
My 6230i worked well - so what is the problem please? Is it software in 6300? Is there a fix. Surely bluetooth is bluetooth....otherwise what's the point
As an aside 6300 seems to get poorer recption than 6230i did as well - is this the first time in 20 years that I have upgraded to phone that performs less well than the previous one!?
    Thanks
    Peter

By the way Motorola kit is an HF850 and was professionally installed in the car only just over a year ago - so is not an old model. As I say the 6230i works perfectly with it.
I see 55 people have viewed the Post - has no one got any bright ideas - please! Peter

  • N8 Bluetooth car kit problem

After some tests and research, it seems that:
    - N8 don't sync phonebook with the most recent Audi and BMW built-in Bluetooth car kits (but seems to work with some Mercedes models).
    - The antenna signal communication doesn't work either.
    - Some times (about 1 out of 3) the answer of an incoming call is not handled correctly by the BT car kit.
    - Just phone pairing and basic call handling is working.
The same Audi and BMW Bluetooth car kits are working fine with the N97 (including phonebook synchronizing, recent call handling and antenna signal).
In this situation the N8 is almost unusable safely by car!
    Does anyone have some advice?
Is this a known problem from Nokia? Is it planed of being solved in a next firmware?

There also Problems with Parrot MKI9200.
After ending the conversation with incoming calls and pressing red button the N8 starts streaming music buy it self thru the Parrot. If you call out this never happens.
And there is problem handling music streaming playback with the Parrot + N8.
Speak and contacts works like it should.
Toyota RAV 2010 BT HF you can pair it but you can't talk thru it.
Older BT headset does the same you pair it but no sound.
So I think N8 has problems with older Bluetooth devices.
All Car brand has problems with many phones so it´s no 100% solution.
Better to go the old way = Buy the BT car solution from the same brand as the phone
and you get a solution from the same decade.
And skip the old **bleep** the carbuilders is building in the most cars that has a development
time for about 5-8years that worked good with the Nokia 6233.....
Use the Nokia CK-200 work like a glove!
But buy the extra external mic the build in is just built in...
