E63 - contact list

I have had the phone for a week or two now and every now and again my contact list deletes several contacts, and I do not know why. It also on a number of occassions adds several contacts from my email account and I have no idea why? and to top things of, yesterday it duplicated most of my contact list. Is it something im doing by accident?

Turn on the spider mode as described in the manual. If you're not syncing in any way, you might have exceeded the limit of stored contacts.

Just updated my E63 firmware to 200.21.012 (18-06-2009; RM-450). Now 'Contacts' button doesn't work anymore. When I press 'Contacts' button, screen blinks, nothing else happens. Cannot view my Contact List by any other way either. However I can access the Contact List when trying to compose a new SMS/Email. Had no luck with 3 Australia and Nokia Australia Customer Support. Any help to fix this issue is great appreciate.

The best option is to perform a reset 1) *#7780# 12345 restore factory settings, keep data 2) *#7370# 12345 reformat, lose all data. If you replace the backup you made, place all, except the settings and install "Conversation" from Nokia Beta Labs.

Need some help here re: E63 CONTACTS

Please have some time to reply on my concerns listed below:
1. Can I change the view of my contact list from phone contacts to sim contacts?
- Supporting question is that, can i view my sim contacts permanently without going to Options then Sim Contacts?
2. Can i delete multiple duplicate contacts in just a single time?
Hoping to receive feedback from nokia service team the soonest.

Just a heads up, my friend was asking me these things because he's planning to buy a Nokia Eseries unit (chossing between e63 and e71). Well thanks anyway.

Sync-Problems with E63 (Contacts)

Hello,
I have established succesfully a connection between my laptop and my E63. With the Nokia PC Sync Tool it is easy to sync my contacts and calender.
The problem is, after each sync I always get 22 warnings reported. Each warning concerns one entry in my contact list. A closer look reveals: "The entry exceeded the maximum size supported by the mobile phone.". I do not really understand why, because most of my contacts are imported correctly, only these 22 contacts aren't. My memory is far from full. My phone memory is only used by 23MB (from 97MB), and for contacts only 663KB. Additionally I have a MemoryCard in the phone with 2GB of memory of which nearly all is free.
So I do not really understand why the phone has memory problems. I cannot find an option to let him save the contacts only to the memory card. I already copied all contacts from the phone memory to the memory card. But it seems to make no difference...
What can I do?

I had the same problem "unable to insert", "entry exceeded maximum size" with E71 when trying to re-sync all contacts. I first emptied all phone's contact entries. First, it only complained about one entry and did nothing else. I removed the photo from that contact in Outlook, and then it synced fine (only that one entry).
Then I marked all entries in Outlook to a category and then removed it - now all entries were synced.

when I used IOS4 .. old verison, I can keep my phone in diff data. Afte upgrade IOS 5, it's bad. Even take photo, it can not focus zoom in and out.

Unable to search successfully on Company field in a Contact list - SharePoint 2013 online

When searching for a company in a contact list, I get NO search results when the line items returned should be abundant.
I am using SharePoint 2013 Online with an Office 365 E3 license. I am the global administrator as well as site collection owner.
Since Company is an existing site collection column, I went to its managed property in the SharePoint Administration portal. I went to Search > Manage Search Schema > Managed properties and opened CompanyOWSTEXT in order to click the Searchable checkbox.
All items were grayed out and unable to be edited. The Searchable check box was UNCHECKED.
Why am I unable to edit that property?
How can I ensure that the Company field is crawled and can return search results?

When I go on the App Store App on my Iphone my Apple ID is not correct. It is the email address of someone on my contact list. How can I correct this and replace the incorrect Apple ID with my ID?

Go to Settings, iTunes & App Stores, click on the Apple ID. Sign out. Click again and sign in with your Apple ID.
Is it possible that this someone in your contact list had the phone and downloaded an app for you?

When I start keying in a name in the email, it comes up with the person's address, which shows it is synced. How do I engage the contact list from the email like I do on my old account (where a contact list icon shows up, along with the "attach" and other icons) ?

With the New Message window open, go to the View menu and select "Customize Toolbar...".
In the screen that opens, drag the item labelled "Address" into the Toolbar area of the New Message window, then click the "Done" button.
That item should be then added to the Toolbar for the New Message window.
Note that the main Mail window and the New Message window (as well as the separate message window if you open a message that way) use different toolbars - the settings/inclusions for one do not carry over to another.

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

Right, I hope I didn't miss another thread. Nothing appears in my contacts list when I try to save numbers from text messages. The only way to save a contact is to type it manually. But the "save to contacts" option is there, so where is it actually saving all those numbers ?

Thanks for the question. Let’s check to make sure all of your groups are being displayed. It is possible that your new contacts are defaulting to a group that is hidden. With the Contacts application open, do the following to make sure that all groups are checked:
Show or hide a group. Tap Groups, then select the groups you want to see. This button appears only if you have more than one source of contacts.

You got the new iphone????? I have same problem. I transferred audiobooks to device to find no audiobooks on device (despite it being in iTunes as if it was). Have you found a solution????? I even tried to change import settings on format transfer but hasn't worked.

At the present time, the only way to clear that is to restore the phone as new. Perhaps a future iOS update will give us the option to clear that cache.

Jabber for Windows 9.1.0 no contact lists are added

We are using Jabber for Windows 9.1.0, we are surprised to see that contact list is empty. Do we need to manually add all the users? We have Presence server integrated with LDAP.
How can we add all the users to be appeared on contact list of all the users?

Did you configure the contact list in IM&P so that you had them when you logged in????
If not, yes, your contact list will be empty and you need to add the users manually.
