E63 keeps asking lock code - cannot disable

Hi,
After installing, using and uninstalling the mail exchange application my e63 keeps asking the lock code. The mail application somehow demanded to use the lock code. Now I have checked the settings many times and I cannot disable it - I cannot disable or set the autolock period above 10 mins -> "unable to unlock phone".
Even restored factory settings but no go. Entering lock code every time I need my phone is annoying.
Any solutions?

Finally, I simple delete my Exchange mail box (also did a refresh of the services but don't know if it was mandatory). And my Lock Code parameters switchs itself automatically to my settings (No lock code) .
So, the Encrypt-Decrypt solution was not necessary for me. Too bad for Microsoft : I will never use Exchange util they fix this MAJOR bug because it's too annoying for me to have a lock on my phone every hour...

PC locks automatically, cannot disable it in Windows 8.

I am using a T420s with Windows 8 Pro installed. My PC locks automatically after 15 min (I think it's 15, I didn't time it), and I can not see anyway to disable it.
As far as I know, there are two things that can lock your PC:
Require a password on wake-up.
Screensaver: On resume, display log-on screen.
My PC does not sleep, so this is not the problem, I have disabled screensaver so this should not be the problem.
I don't know if this happens on other PCs than Lenovo, but I'm guessing it doesn't.
After 15 min my PC locks, then shows the lock screen for a short time, and then turns off the display.
Is anyone else having the same issue, or does someone know how to stop it from locking?

Maybe someone else using Windows 8 with Lenovo can let me know if their PC doesn't lock automatically?

Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
2. Connect USB cable to computer, leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

ONLY way to get the Security code reset is by visiting Nokia Care along with a proof of ownership (Bill / Invoice)

E63 Lock Code Problem After Update

I recently checked for a firmware update for my E63. I got excited when i found out that there was an availabla one, the 510 .21 .010 and I immediately started the update process. Everything went ok but when i switched On the phone it asked me for the lock code after 3 or 4 seconds. I tried the default one , 12345 but it showed a code error message. I can't do excatly nothing but the weird thing is that buttons Calendar,Contacts and Mailbox work but i still can't do nothing else.The Home button does not work. It doesn't seem a normal behaviour.Could it be a bug? I read a lot of posts about this problem so this means I'm not the only one having this problem. Please help me. I really need my E63 back as it is my do-everything tool. Maybe a new firmware with this bug fixed would be best.

The "backup password" refers to a password you created when you elected to encrypt your iPhone's backup. If you cannot remember the encryption password, you will not be able to access the backup.

Rebooting N* and ask for a lock code??? Need help ...

Hi, I have done a hard reset and everything works great - very responsive phone.
BUT, every time when I reboot the phone the N8 will display a Lock Code screen???
I can enter anything and it will come up with a code error and then the phone works fine.
I am lost....
Can I disable the message?

Its wierd that it works OK after giving code error...If you have not set any code of your own try with 12345 and see if its asking again on re-boot..
Else try a Factory Reset..
Menu >Settings and Phone > Phone management > Factory> Restore...followed by above code when asked..

Why skype keeps asking me about security codes????

when I sing in, skype keeps asking me if I wanted to change the security codes...Then I say yes(because I cannot take this back) they send me email on a certain day(when I am not home of course) and I cannot change the passwords(neither DO I WANT TO)....then this circle repeats itself over and over, and itse starting to annoy me greatly.
I JUST WANT TO KEEP USING THIS **bleep**.....
How can I make it stop ?`I just want to sign in without having to send over and over again these requests...just to get to my account for a week again.

Change the security codes? I am confused, and not following along ... could you please kindly post back with a screen shot of what you are seeing? Please remember to "white out" any personal information before you upload your screen shot.
If you could also provide more information about where you use Skype, this could be helpful:

Nokia E63 lock code

I forgot my nokia E63 lock code, so whenever i switch on my device it is asking for the lock code.
Can you help me how can i solve this problem (how can i reset my phone lock code?).
I have updated my device using nokia software updater today i.e. on 20.12.2009.

The standard code is 12345 but if you changed this code and you forgot, there is only one way to solve the problem. Bring it in to a Nokia Care Center.

Well, let's assume for the moment that my first thought that the phone is stolen is wrong, although your random user ID would tend to imply that. It depends on which passcode is lost. If it is the SIM key you will have to get a new SIM card from your carrier (you didn't say which country you are in, so I can't tell you who your carrier is). If it is the phone's passcode lock you will need to do a forced restore, which will wipe all content from the phone. If it's your phone this shouldn't be a problem, because it is all backed up in iTunes and will be reloaded after the restore. Of course, you will still need the passcode, so that may not be possible anyway.
To do a forced restore hold the HOME button, then connect to the USB cable AND CONTINUE HOLDING for a LONG time (a minute or more). Once iTunes responds release the button and your phone will be restored.

I just tried the link and it is just fine. If the GateKeeper pops up then open Security & Privacy preferences, click on the General tab, set the last radio button to Anywhere.
