E63 updating contents using PC-Suite via Bluetooth...

When updating my E63 contacts, calendar etc. using PC-Suite via Bluetooth, every update asks the phone "Accept connection request from PC?"  This doesn't occur when using a cable connection but is a real nuisance when using Bluetooth.
Any way of automatically accepting the connection request?
Thanks,
Norm

  • PC Suite & Nokia Ovi Suite via Bluetooth on Nokia ...

I had a tough time in getting the Nokia N8 in sync with the latest Nokia PC Suite which will recognise the N8 (version 7.1.40.9) together with the Nokia Ovi Suite through bluetooth. It was a nightmare! I don't use to have any troubles in connecting any Nokia phones via bluetooth but I do have a problem with the N8.
After searching through various forums and blogs, I have come to a conclusion. There is a workaround the problem when it pertains to the Nokia PC Suite. I rarely use the Nokia Ovi Suite because the Ovi Suite would not allow me to sync calender items for more than 6 weeks. With the Nokia PC Suite, it will allow a user to sync any items for 99 years! Can you believe it? However, not all are lost. The Ovi Suite is better in terms of installing updated maps on the N8 though. You would not be able to do so on the Nokia PC Suite.
When it comes to synchronising your N8 with your PC Suite/ Ovi Suite via bluetooth, you need to take care. The steps will be as follows:
    (1) Install the latest Nokia Ovi Suite and or PC Suite Suite version 7.1.40.9.
    (2) Don't run Ovi/Nokia PC Suite. If they are running on the taskbar, right click to exit all of them.
    (3) Enable bluetooth on your N8 and then right click on the bluetooth devices icon at the bottom right of your laptop.
    (4) Once you have right clicked on the bluetooth devices icon, select 'add devices'.
    (5) Follow the prompts on your N8 and also on your laptop/pc.
    (6) Please make sure that your N8's bluetooth is on 'discoverable'. Otherwise your laptop/pc will not be able to pick up the signal.
    (7) Follow the instructions given and then reboot your laptop/pc.
After that, you would need to fire up your PC Suite or Ovi Suite but not both at the same time. Use PC Suite to sync your contacts/messages/calenders while use the Ovi Suite to install and update your map on your Nokia devices.
    Good luck!

Pls help. I'm able to connect my N8 to my laptop's win7 home premium but not to OVI suite or PC Suite.
They get connected with N8 over cable but not over bluetooth. PC Suite says "Can not authenticate the phone" and ovi suite keeps checking the "Phone's bluetooth capabilities".
    Kindly help.

  • Pc Suite via bluetooth getting disconnected on E61...

    Hi,
I recently updated to Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web and now I am having troubles when trying to sync.
I am getting the message [device name] connected via bluetooth and several seconds later it's getting disconnected with the message: [device name] disconnected via bluetooth --> in E61
In 6230 - it's getting crazy and the phone is being shot down.
I restarted both phones many times, restarted also the computer.
Yesterday it worked for a while, I managed to syn my calendar but today it's not working again.
until now I used an older version PC_Suite_681_rel_13 and it worked properly.
I tried to go back but it's not working now.
    My Os is winxp- SP2
    PC suite version PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web
    Bluetooth: Widcomm ver 4.0.1
    Machine - HP notebook.
I hope someone has an idea.
    Tnx!

I'm having the same problem. Uninstalled old PC suite and installed Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1_eng_us_web today.
With 6230i, phone is seen and a bluetooth connection is made but almost immediately PC suite disconnects. Can't even get a DKU-2 cable connection anymore.
    Useless!
    Help! Any ideas anyone?

  • N8 will not connect to ovi suite via bluetooth (as...

my N8 will not connect to my notebook (asus n53sv with win7 home premium x64) via bluetooth using either pc suite or ovi suite but will pair directly to my notebook. both ovi suite and pc suite attempt to connect to the N8, but cannot authorise the connection. is there a solution available?

The iPhone 3G does not support this.  Only the 3GS and up support internet tethering via Bluetooth.

  • Problem using PC Suite via USB

I have a problem accessing my Nokia phone (E50) with PC Suite via USB, but since I pruchased it earlier on though, it never had this problem. My phone's connection settings via USB has been modified to let the phone be connected thru "PC Suite", and I have the USB wire that came with the phone. I had access to the contents of my phone just fine, until this week.
The problem is that the phone does connect, but my PC doesn't read any phone from the connection. I tried connecting the phone with four different USB sockets available, but no result. I tried reconnecting the phone with the USB wire, but it was futile.
Honestly, I do not know if the problem is from my phone or from the computer. My cousin, after all, came over for a slumber party during the weekend, and he visited websites that might have badware. [My computer restarts when I choose "Shut Down", it's working slowly at times, and it restarts if I bother downloading anything.] If anyone has an idea how I could resolve this connectivity problem, I'd most appreciate it.

  • Can't Update N900 using Ovi Suite.."Sim Card Is Mi...

    Please Help.
I've been trying to update my N900 for ages. I downloaded Nokia PC Suite and it told me it can't update on that software and to download Ovi Suite. So i download that, plug my software in, click update, and after what feels literally feels like 5 whole minutes for Ovi Suite to actually find the update, I click the Next step and this appears:
    http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6640/wtfozg.png
But I do have a Sim card already inside my phone! So i uninstalled the Ovi Suite and tried again and the same message appears. Why is this happening?
is there another way to update my phone?
I have a Windows 7 64-bit PC if that may be causing problems?

I had an unregistered sim from an old pay as you go phone.  I used that to fire up my n900.  From there I connected just to my wifi and shortly there after I was notified of the update which installed smoothly over wifi.
I believe you can also download the file and copy it to the phone and then reboot the phone and that will also install the update ( I think).  Here is a link.

  • Using Nokia headphones via bluetooth

    Hi,
    G'day all,
After looking elsewhere in the forum, I created the .asoundrc in /home and asound.conf in /etc file as below:
    pcm.btheadset {
       type bluetooth
       device 00:0D:3C:A6:CC:55
Below is the line in /etc/rc.conf
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs crond hal cups alsa samba bluetooth fam sshd virtualbox)
The bluetooth applet (sorry I could not cut n paste the screen)
shows the Nokia BH-501 headset and three bars orange, green and blue and says connected.
    From the command line:
    mplayer -ao alsa:device=btheadset /data/Music/somesong.mp3
    plays fine.
edit:I use alsa. Pulse is not installed.
Question is how do I get the sound when I play a song / movie in smplayer or vlc ?
    regards

Oh no particular reason for not using pulse. Just things are working fine (without bluetooth for smplayer, vlc etc) so far.
Any pointers to use pulseaudio and bluetooth headsets ?
Well, assuming your pulseaudio is working fine, the 'pointers' are just:-
    1. Pair with device using bluez.
    2. Move your stream to the bluetooth headset in pavucontrol (you may need to select A2DP in the Configuration if your headset supports it, not all do).
    abcbucket wrote:
You need to choose the btheadset device. If the app doesn't support that you may need to make it default.
In the preferences of both programs (smplayer and vlc) I could not find <btheadset>
    cheers
Then try setting btheadset as default in your .asoundrc. Not all programs support non-commandline (or even CLI) selection of alsa plugins.

  • Voice streaming using loud speaker via bluetooth...

  • Using Keynote Remote via Bluetooth - iPhone 4S + iPad 2

I have used Keynote remote quick happily on my old 3GS. Now I need to use Keynote remote on my iPhone 4S to control a Keynote presentation on my iPad.
WiFi is not an option, so I need to use Bluetooth.
Both devices are up to date and running iOS6
Activating iPad Bluetooth in settings, devices (eg Macbook, Apple keyboard) other than the iPhone appear on the iPad.
Activating Blutooth in settings on the iPhone discovers nothing. It is as if Bluetooth is not activating. The MacBook can't find the iPhone either.
I have rebooted both devices several times.
I have also tried to activate the pairing within Keynote remote - which just says no connection is available and says both devices must have bluetooth turned on.
    So.
    Am I being stupid here?
Or has Apple screwed up letting their very expensive and overpriced devices communicate with each other?

Hey I was having trouble with this too. I got it to work for me. I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 5. The fix for me was simple. Turn off WiFi for both your iPad and your iPhone. Turn on Bluetooth for both your iPad and your iPhone. Then KeyNote > Tools > Advanced > Remote. You don't have to do anything just have your Phone Remote app running and the bluetooh enabled when you hit remote on your iPad. They should find each other.
I've had to do this each time I use this function. There should we a way that you can just choose to use Bluetooth.

  • Error installing MIDlet via bluetooth

Hi i have ben working on an app using the J2ME Wireless Toolkit and have regularly been sending my updated app to my phone via bluetooth from my PC. This has worked without any problems for months.
Then i started using eclipse to edit ad emulate my code but creating the final package using the J2ME Wireless Toolkit.
Now i cannot send the app to my phone as the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard gives the error:
"Not enough storage is available to complete this operation."
I have 6Mb of free memory on my phone and jar is only 23kb.
I can create package with eclipse and send it to phone and it works fine even tho the jar eclipse creates is 62Kb!!
Any ideas why this has happened and if there is a solution??

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Is it possible to connect an external camera via bluetooth to the Iphone 4 and use it with Facetime, if not.. why?

Ok, in 2015 is it possible now? I would like to use an iPad and Face to share content between a dressmaker in Asia and a customer in the US, and I would like to attach better camera's than the built-in camera's on the devices.
Any thoughts? Any updates to the original post?
    Thanks,
