E65 BLUETOOTH CONNECTION FAILED

Hi,
Pretty new to all this so bear with me! I have an E65 which I don't seem able to connect to a car kit that is built into my car.(TOYOTA VERSO) Have checked that bluetooth is switched on on my phone and been through my car manual which just tells me to pair it with the car - after the message pairing complete the connection fails.can enyone help me with this problem Any help or advice greatfully received as I've never had a problem in the past (had 6280 before which worked fine)
Thank

O Ke Do KE
Here is how I just did it with Parrot in my rav
Phone settings to start
bluetooth - on
My phones visibility -Shown to all  (remember to change this to hidden after paired)
My phones name - if you haven't already give a short name ex "jarnok"
Then get the car unit ready thusly:
First you get car device ready to pair or looking for signal.
Then you go to phone and choose anyone in address book
Highlight (scroll to) phone number
press options and scroll to "send business card"
Press select
Scroll to "Via Bluetooth"
Scroll to "selected detail only"
Press ok
That should send to awaiting car device.
After that the units can talk.
Then change "visible to all"  to hidden
That's it folks - even with symbian which is best for syncing outlook including notes in my humble opinion
Hopefully helpful

  • Bluetooth connection failed...

Ok, I was using my bluetooth fine the other day and then later on that night, I started getting an error message saying "The connection failed or closed, would you like to reconnect" I don't know what happened. I've switch to snow leopard but that was a few weeks ago. I'm trying "browse device" and get pix off my nokia e63 and I was able to pull like 10-15 pix earlier that morning and now nothing. I've tried the SMC reset, I've tried restarting my comp, I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions? I have the 13" macbook. This is a picture of the error: http://twitpic.com/kjojb

    HI,
Open System Preferences/Bluetooth. Delete the camera from the list and restart your Mac.
Go back to System Preferences/Bluetooth and re "pair' the camera. If the camera requiers batteries, make sure they are charged.
If that doesn't help, try deleting the Bluetooth preference file.
    com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    MacintoshHD / Library/ Preferences.
Move that .plist file to the Trash and restart your Mac.

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Is your BlackBerry able to pair successfully with another BlackBerry smartphone or Bluetooth enabled device? Have you tried the steps provided in this blog post? http://my.blackberry.com/tips/8000
If so, you may need to contact the manufacturer of the car kit for more information on compatibility or further instructions for pairing.

  • Bluetooth connection fails iOS 8.1

My iPhone5s cannot make a Bluetooth connectivity with any of my Macs(MBA mid-2013, iMac late-2012, MacPro) all running Yosemite 10.10. Prior to upgrading to Yosemite the same iPhone running on iOS 7 did make successful bluetooth connectivity. My iPhone5s is on 8.1. Surprising even though it cannot have connectivity, it sees and stay connected for a second or two and then will say "Not Connected". But the same phone connects with Blueant S4 handsfree Speakerphone - except that I have to make a connection each time. In the past, it used to connect automatically when I was in the range of my device.
Yes, I have tried reset PRAM, SMC resets on my Macs, powered OFF and ON my iPhone5s and even reset my NW connection. In addition, I have other iPhones in my family and none can make connection to Macs which run on Yosemite(tried 4s, 5 and even 6). But the same iPhones make successful BT on Macs running Mavericks and Mountain Lion(yes one MBP still exists). So I am guessing it is changes in Yosemite that is causing the problem. Because I am going through this problem - my family members who have Macs do not want to upgrade to Yosemite as they depend on BT connectivity for their external devices. I don't blame them, but sounds very silly to me that Apple messed up big time with BT connectivity. I see many reporting similar issues, but for many resetting PRAM and/or SMC they have been successful.
Any help would be appreciated. Again I am not referring to Handoff (which it is working for me) but I am interested in BT connectivity with Yosemite. This is important because external BT devices need to be connected(Headphones, Earbuds etc).

I went to the Apple store yesterday because I was having the same issue in my Honda Accord after I updated to iOS 8.1.1.  The very helpful rep there suggested that I go to Settings -> General -> Reset on my phone to reset my iPhone 5 General Settings.  She said that it's like an oil change for the phone that cleans out a lot of the junk.  After doing this, I was able to stream both my music and Pandora in my car again.
Note:  When you reset the General Settings, you will lose your phone password and background image (not a big deal).  You will NOT lose your pictures, video or emails.
    Hope that helps!

  • E65 Bluetooth Connection with i-Tech ear piece

Just switched from 6230i to E65. Almost immediately I found my reliable old 6230i functioned better than this beautiful looking E65. The most annoying one is the blue tooth (i-Tech mini and i-Tech Arrow) connection which has two problems. 1) The phone and the blue tooth do not pair well. Connection drops quite often. 2) The output volume of the i-Tech is quite low when connecting to E65. Anyone has similar experience and advice?
I probably will sell this phone very soon cos I have bad headache if use the handset to talk.

I had the same problem of my new iPhone 3GS not being able to discover and pair with my Bluetooth HS850 device. I tried numerous times at home using the same steps I used with my previous phone but to no avail (my previous phone paired easily with my bluetooth device). Desperate and frustrated I went to the Apple store and the minute the sales rep. tried to pair my iPhone with my Bluetooth device it worked ! Can't explain it, I did everything the way the sales rep. did it but for some reason when I was in the Apple store my iPhone immediately paired with my Bluetooth device. So for you Desperados out there who are pulling your hair out because your Bluetooth won't pair with your iPhone my suggestion is to head on down to the Apple store and let them do it.

  • Bluetooth connection fail between E72 and Win7 (32...

    Hi !
I have got my Dell Vostro 3700 with Win7 (Pro-32bit) recently, have been trying connect my E72 with OVI via bluetooth, it only work when the first pairing, and the connection cannot establish once i restarted the computer. Has anyone come across this problem ?
    Regards,
    Tedd

To be honest, I think the bluetooth feature of the E72 is absolute rubbish.
I paired my E72 with my car radio, in order to get calls using the car hifi and speakers. I also thought it would be a really great feature to hear the GPS voice directions coming through the car hifi.
It paired and worked briefly for a few minutes, when the BT connection just dropped. Like you, I couldn't get it to pair again without deleting it from the car hifi memory. Now it works when it feels like. I cannot rely on BT staying connected for longer than a few minutes.
My other phone, the N78 is rock solid when connected via BT to the car, so it definitely is the E72 at fault. Newer versions of firmware don't seem to help either. I've written to Nokia, but as usual they ignore me.

  • C3-00 Failed bluetooth connection

After quite a bit of fiddling around , I successfully got my C3 to connect reliably via Bluetooth and sync with Ovi. It's been working well for about a month ?
I connected tonight and performed a sync and backup. Closed OVI..all looked good. A while later I wanted to re connect and the bluetooth connection failed saying the pairing needed to be  ' updated ' ? I wasn't sure what that meant , so I thought I would delete the pairing and re ad it.
When I try to do that  via the phone , my computer shows up but when I try to ad it as a paired device , it fails.
If I scan using the computer , the phone also appears in the bluetooth list , but when I try do connect I receive a 'generic ' error msg:
Adding the device failed due to an authentication error. It might be due to the use of an incorrect pairing code......"
I don't see a prompt to enter a pairing code ( as I did originally when I first connected successfully ). Not sure what to try next ? Will restoring my back also restore my pairing ,  or do I need to do a reset and start from scratch ?
    TIA

  • After setting up bluetooth with my car , nano connection fails

followed instructions to pair and connect, stereo says connected , nano says failed

Same problem? My partner bought the latest iPod nano, tried to pair it with the car stereo in her MINI. The stereo recognised the iPod, said it was successfully paired with it, but the iPod says the connection failed. I cannot find anywhere that confirms whether the MINI (2011 model) has bluetooth that supports A2DP. If anyone knows for sure, I'd appreciate knowing.

  • Nokia C5-03/Win7 Bluetooth connectivity problem

When I am trying to connect Nokia Ovi Suite to my phone using Bluetooth, the pairing process seems to succeed, except the last phase: Then I receive a message that the connection did not succeed. The wizard gives then a possibility to try again with a different ID but it fails every time.
It is the same problem if I try to pair the phone from computer's Bluetooth icon in the notification area. However, with using my laptop with XP this succeeds. Therefore I believe that my phone is OK but there is something wrong with my Bluetooth software in Win 7 computer. Nokia Ovi Suite lists it:
    - Microsoft (Version: 6.1.7600, subversion: 16385)
When I start the computer, the Event Viewer shows the following error:
"The Bluetooth driver expected an HCI event with a certain size but did not receive it."
    Source: BTHUSB
    EventID: 5
The Microsoft's "Event Log Online Help" onthat window does not suggest anything.
However, this may be the actual reason for the problems but I do not know how to fix it.
I have tried Microsoft's "Fix it" tool but it did not fix this problem.
    Any ideas what to do?

    Still the same problem.
Now I installed the Nokia PC Suite and I tried to make a bluetooth connection to it.
Everything goes again well except after the last phase when I give the asked pin number in my phone, the computer ponders a while and shows then a window with the text that the phone cannot be verified.

What user troubleshooting have you done on the phone? The steps are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Understand that a restore will put the latest iOS on your device. It is also possible there is a hardware fault on the device and the Bluetooth is failing. Anything is possible given the scenario you describe.
And as far as iOS 7.x is concerned, we have 5 different iPhones here at home, all with the latest iOS, a 4, 4s, 5c, and 2-5s and all are working just fine. So, a blanket statement such as the one provided by the other poster is not completely true. Others are not having any issues at all either.

  • Wireless Mighty Mouse loses Bluetooth Connection

Our new iMac arrived today and works fine except for the wireless mouse which loses the Bluetooth connection frequently, especially when the mouse is "Turned off" and then turned back on (every time?). Has Apple acknowledged this problem? It appears that there are many (all?) systems failing this way. Numerous boards are reporting similar unreliability of the Bluetooth system. I tried re-seating the batteries and checked all the software settings that might make sense. I read the manual 3 times. Only turning Bluetooth off and then back on seems to relieve the problem, but only temporarily until intentionally turning the mouse off. The connection was first lost in the midst of normal mousing activities. We discovered the relationship to the on-off switch while investigating the first lost Bluetooth connection. I now have a wired mouse connected to recover the lost Bluetooth connection each time it is lost. Help!!!

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
    Try deleting this file. com.apple.bluetooth.plist
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and restart your iMac.
*"especially when the mouse is "Turned off"*
That definitely break the Bluetooth connection.
Sometimes you need to remove the mouse from the System Preferences/Bluetooth Device window and "re-pair" the mouse using the Bluetooth Setup Assistant.
To set up a Bluetooth device to work with your computer:
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and then click Bluetooth.
    Open Bluetooth preferences
    Click Add +
Choose the type of device you want to set up and follow the onscreen instructions.

  • 6230i Bluetooth connectivity problems

    Sorry for long posting...
I have recently purchased a 6230i to replace my 6310i.
I previously used a CA-42 USB cable for the 6310i but that is reported by the 6230i as incompatible - grrh.
And now I am trying to set up the Bluetooth connectivity.
I have (eventually) managed to get the 6230i paired to my Laptop using a Belkin USB Bluetooth and the Belkin software running on WinXP (IBM T41 laptop). PC Suite runs but seems to be a little unreliable over Bluetooth - will address that by sourcing a DKU-2 cable.
However, I have problems with pairing the 6230i with my Sony HBH-600 headset (works perfectly with 6310i) I can get the 6230i to discover the headset either by searching for audio enhancements or by setting up a new pair, however it always fails to set up the connection (never asks for passkey).
Similarly I cannot get my Ipaq 5550 to pair with the 6230i. I can start the pairing from the Ipaq which finds the 6230i but the 6230i never acknowledges the pairing attempt which then fails. If I start the pairing process from the 6230i it finds the Ipaq and attempts to pair but never asks to setup a passkey - the Ipaq does not seems to receive the pairing attempt.
I have set the auto connect option to yes and no with no difference.
    Any suggestions ?
Needless to say all this worked perfectly with the 6310i.

    Further to original post
The Bluetooth connectivity all works between the IBM T41, Ipaq 5550, Sony HBH600 headset and a Nokia 6810 phone.
So the problem appears to be the Nokia 6230i phone.
Further research gives some rather disapointing information.
    http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=2629
If you have problems performing pairing between an iPAQ 1940/2210 and the Nokia 6230 and continually get an error similar to "Cannot pair devices for security reasons" then it's related to the problem outlined in that document.
This is a Hardware issue and not a software issue related to the WIDCOMM BTW-CE Product. There are two types of keys that can be used for pairing:
    - Combination keys
    - Unit keys
The key type that is used is pre-set in the Bluetooth Radio Firmware. The WIDCOMM BTW-CE Bluetooth software
does not control this setting. The radio on the iPAQ 1940 uses unit keys by default. These Nokia phones reject the use of unit keys in pairing because it is not as secure as combination keys.
Users of older HP iPAQ models should check the HP Drivers page for the latest OS or Bluetooth software for their devices.
I note that my Ipaq is older than the two models mentioned and that my headset is 16 months old. So it looks as if the 6230i is going back - stupid no backwards compatibility.
thanks to Geekzone for the info.
