E65 Buttons not working, phone locking up.

So this afternoon all of a sudden I couldn't make any calls, the send and end buttons are making the phone beep but that's about it. Turned it off and on a few times. It worked to make one call then did it again. So then I tried making a call by selecting the name in the phone book and the call option, that didn't work either. I can still send/rec SMS and it connects via wifi. Although now it appears to be locking up completely and has to be turned off and on again. I reset the settings and that didn't help.
Any other ideas before I take it in?

Sorry for resurrecting this old post. I replied because I have the same problem as the original poster. I would like to know if the original poster or anyone else has found a fix for this problem. Was Nokia able to fix the problem? In my E65, the 'Back' and 'End call' buttons are not working (keypresses are not recognized by the phone; there's no sound when those buttons are pressed) if the phone is slided open/not retracted. Only those two buttons are not working. The problem does not happen if the phone's keypad is retracted (slided close). Any other E65 owners or other Nokia slider phone owners that have encountered the same problem? I did not drop the phone nor was any physical damage done on the phone. It's been a year since I bought this phone. I just noticed that one day, the phone's 'Back' and 'End Call' button are not working anymore if the phone is not retracted. I already tried turning the phone off, taking the battery out, putting the battery back in and then restarting the phone, but it didn't work. Another thing I would like to ask is: how to backup the notes in a Nokia E65 phone to a Windows PC? I can't find the feature to backup notes in Nokia PC Suite (although there's an option to backup text messages). This is in case, I might need to have my phone repaired.

i had a problem with my wifes iphone 4s, today morning while travelling to work i changed a setting on repeat option and changed it to repeat artist, it was fine until when i finish my work and on my way back i found songs are not playing anymore, lots of stop signs next to my song list, play/pause button not working, album arkwork keep moving from one to another on its own, so after i reach home i try to do some research on Apple support communities, try to soft reset my phone closing all the apps on background didnt work, also note that control centre music player was not working as well. none of the solutions worked. after trying for two hours i found out that the trouble is in repeat options , so i changed it from repeat artist to repeat off. and the music start playing as usual, but i still have those stop buttons next to the songs i tried to play earlier. At least it fixed temporarily. please also note that in the meantime i tried to sync my phone with the pc and suddenly its start syncing all the songs again assuming there were no songs on my iphone. so guys i think soft reset might not help all the time but try to remember what settings you changed recently and change it back to the original option, not sure ,but it might help.

Camera button not working from locked screen.

Recently I tried to take a photo from my locked screen. Usually I just double click my home button and the camera pops right up and I can take a picture. This time though, the camera icon does pop up, but when I go to click it the camera icon just "jumps" and will not open the camera option. It's very annoying for when I just want to take a picture, now I have to go through the motion of unlocking my phone and going to the camera. OH, also on the locked screen, the camera icon has two lines, both over and under it.
How can I fix this, is it in the settings somewhere?

Touch the camera icon and scroll all the way up. You do not have to double click the home button.

Lock button not working for iPhone4

Hi All,
My lock button not working from last 2months, I am using assistive touch for time being.
I bought my mobile in UK 1year back, currently i am staying in India.
My real problem is, recently i visited apple store. The guys in the store are saying, it is against to their law to serve or repair mobiles which were bought in other country..
I think this is rediculous.. Just i need some information how to fix it or how to contact the correct person regarding this POOR service.

No. The warranty is only valid in the country of purchase. All service for iPhones in UAE is provided by the supported carriers. You can find a list here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937
If you did not purchase it from one of the carriers listed, then you probably purchased an illegally imported gray market phone.
Check Settings>General>About. What does it say for Model #?

It appears like you may have a hardware issue with your ringer button and internal speaker that came to light after the update. If you have already restored your iPhone back to factory settings using iTunes, you may need to have your phone serviced.
Some potential good news... Check your headphone jack for lint. There may be enough to cause a muffled connection. You can try to blow it out with compressed air or very carefully pulling out any solid objects that may affect the connection.

Is there an "APPLE STORE" in India or you just went in a reseller store?
There is a replacement program for sleep/wake button for free. Just look for an Apple Store and make a reservation at Genius Bar.

I thought the Apple Store wouldn't repair my phone because I bought it from another country , a different model and it is already out of warranty.

The warranty would only be valid in the UAE. You'd need to take it back there.

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart.. Reset.. Restore from Backup.. Restore as New...
Try a Reset of the Phone... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds...
Release the Buttons...
Turn the Phone On...

Ipad 2 lock button not working after screen replacement

I replaced the screen of Ipad2. Afterward, the power button is only working when I turn it on or off, but did not work for locking the screen neither with assistive touch. And another issue is when the divece is rebooted, after the apple logo desepears normally we can see the start screen, but in this case the screen stays black after the apple logo desepears untill I pushed the home button. (IOS 7.1.2)

If you replaced the screen through a 3rd party or yourself, you have void all warranty and support.
If it's a 3rd party or Apple, bring it back.

Those are hardware issues. You can try all of the software troubleshooting if you want. Restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If that does not work, then your only option is to pay someone for something. The decision is up to you, but I've provided the options.

Sleep/Wake button will not lock or unlock iPhone
To lock the phone, press the Sleep/Wake button. Note: By default, if you don't touch the screen for a minute, iPhone locks automatically.
To unlock iPhone, press the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button, then slide the slider.
If either of the above steps don't work, try turning iPhone off and then on again.
If the iPhone will not power off, reset it.

Hi, DEVRAMP. How did you flash your phone? Is there a battery indicator when you charge it? You may try the following solution below:
Check that the keypad is not locked.
Make sure that all keys are responding correctly when they are pressed. In some cases, a key may get stuck and freeze the whole keypad.
Try removing and replacing the covers (if your phone supports that feature). Check that the power and side keys on the cover are properly aligned (e.g. pushed out) to their respective positions to have a proper tactile feel when pressing the keys.
