E65 can't upgrade firmware!

Hello again,
I see that there is a new version of the NSU. I made the update to NSU. I connect the E65 but still can't upgrade firmware.....
Any news about that?
The phone's code is 0542346....

From [email protected] I've got an answer:
"With regard to your enquiry, I suggest that you update your phone software, which could improve the overall performance of your phone and fix operation issues that you are experiencing with your phone. Nokia Software Updater now supports the Nokia E65. Kindly log on to the following link for Nokia Software Updater:
http://europe.nokia.com/A4579163
It is highly recommended that you back up the data on your phone to a computer prior to using Nokia Software Updater as the contents of your phone would be erased. To do so, kindly follow the back up process below:
1) Download, install and execute the Nokia PC Suite software from the following link: http://europe.nokia.com/A4144905
2) Establish a compatible connection between your computer and your phone. More information is available at the following link: http://europe.nokia.com/A4423033
3) Execute the "Backup" application to back up the data."
Does it work? I wish, but it does NOT!
Following instruction am trying to update my software:
NSU is "Preparing update. Identyfing connected phone",
but then I get message: "Connection error. Sorry, the Nokia Software Updater service is currently unavailable. Please disconnect your device and try again later".
Without last updates WPA doesn't work... I'm fed up with e65.

  • Can't Upgrade Firmware in Officejet 8000 Wireless Printer

I've been using this HP 8000 Officejet wirelss with a single usb connection without any issues at all. I set up a two computer wireless network with this printer also being wireless several days ago. No issues at all with the setup. The printer worked fine with test prints, etc. After several hours though I found the printer would loose connection as far as being able to print. It shows up as an avaialble printer, but will not print. A complete powerdown of the printer is necessary to get it working again. This would happen about every 2 to 3 hours. So I tried connecting the printer to the router with an ethernet cable. The problem is not as frequent now, but still happens. The firmware of this printer is 0842BR. There is a firmware upgrade for this particular printer which is supposed to fix issues with network connectivity plus a few other things. I cannot get this firmware upgrade to work with either Windows XP or Windows 7. In XP I get the error message: Firmware Download Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close. In Windows 7 if I just run the file, it extracts to about 47% and then just disappears. If I try to run it in compatibility mode, it says there is a problem with the file.
Can anyone please help me with getting the firmware upgraded, or does anyone have any suggesting on getting this printer to work reliabily on a network. I havee another Officejet Pro 8000 wireless at home on my home wireless network and it works perfectly. It has different firmware though. Thank you for your help!

I had similar problems trying to install the firmware from two different PC's running Windows 7-32-bit and Windows 7-64 bit.
I had an older system with a clean install of Windows XP SP3 that this Printer had never been connected to.
I downloaded and installed the latest "Basic" Printer Driver as well as the Firmware Upgrade to that PC.
I powered off the printer and disconnected and reconnected the AC power supply to assure a clean power up state.
I left the USB cable disconnected until the driver installation directed me to connect it.
I installed the "Basic" Driver for USB connectivity. I initially had connectvity problems trying to "talk to" the printer but switching to a different USB Cable solved that problem.
After all the above, the Firmware install went as described in the HP description.
The printer now reports the upgraded Firmware Version of "1006BR"
I hope my experience helps you with your firmware install.

  • WRVS4400N Can't Upgrade Firmware - Browse Button Greyed Out

    Hello,
I have a Cisco WRVS4400N v2 and I have downloaded the latest firmware, but when I log into the router and go to Administration > Firmware Upgrade, the Browse button is greyed out.
I have tried logging in from both the WAN and the LAN side, and the Browse button is greyed out from both sides.
I also tried enabling Remote Upgrade under the Firewall setting, but the Enable button is greyed out as well.
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.
I have tried IE and Firefox and it doesn't appear to be a browser issue.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Backup takes forever to complete / CAN'T UPGRADE FIRMWARE AS RESULT

I have not been able to complete a single backup of my i Pad since it takes for ever to complete, as in 10 hours passes and still not done. It never finishes.
Thus, i am unable to perform a firmware update since it tries to backup before applying the update.
    Anyone experiences this issue?

I completely agree, normal syncing allows you to cancel backup and continue to sync, but software upgrade to 4.2 does not allow you to cancel the backup. Why do we need backup anyway? Isn't all your data stored in Itunes? and why does it take 9 hours to back up 15 gigs of data? is it all being sent to California? This seems to be a serious flaw in the Ipad system. I think my only option is to empty the ipad, then update it and refill it again, but seriously why is this necessary?

  • How to upgrade firmware

    Hi ,
I have 6230i , and I want to upgrade my firmware newest one.
How can I learn newest firmware version of 6230i?
    My version is 3.40
And How can I upgrade firmware version of my 6230i?
    thx.

With the 6230i, you can send/take it to your nearest Nokia authorized service/repair center and ask them to do the update for you.
You can try this site for locating one:
    http://www.nokia.com/repair
With some models you could use "NSU" or the Nokia Software Update application on a Windows PC, but unfortunately it doesn't support the 6230i (maybe the support will come, or at least with your next Nokia device it will be possible):

  • I have AT&T & Curve 8300 running BIS - Can I upgrade-

to version 2.5 of the device firmware along with the companion v4.5 or 4.6 desktop software?
    Here's a little background:
I bought my Curve last fall at an AT&T store.  I had been a quite satisfied Palm customer since 1994 and so had accumulated over 1500 very detailed contact records, as well lots and lots of appointments.  But I had to return my latest Palm device, a Treo 680 within the 30 day warranty period due to a severe problem with battery life.  To my frank amazement, it stay charged up enough for use for more 3-4 hours at a time.  (I'm a heavy data user but not that heavy!)  So I decided to make the big switch, thinking that Palm technology was becoming obsolete anyway and the company's future was in doubt.
It turns out this was a really good move, except for one thing:  with the Treo I had become acustomed to not needing to lug my laptop around on planes, etc. because I could do most anything I needed on the Palm, including most MS Office work via the Dataviz software product Documents To Go.   While this software was not yet available for BB at the time, I was told that this was coming in a few months.  So I decided to get by without MS Office temporarily - really meaning only the loss of MS Word and Excel because I knew that the Curve integrated well with MS Outlook.
But what I didn't expect was to still be waiting 15 months later!
As I say, I've been very happy with my Curve and Dataviz did in fact come out with the BB platform support a few months ago.  However, the issue remaining is that this software requires me to upgrade to at least v4.5 BB Desktop (I'm running 4.3 now) and to upgrade to Curve firmware version 2.5 (I'm running firmware v2.4.2 now).
I was in contact with AT&T "support" again today and I'm still being stonewalled. The trouble is AT&T only supports the software versions I'm running now and apparently have no plans to support anything newer.
Obviously there are no worries about running desktop v4.5, but I have two specific questions about the v2.5 firmware:
    1.  Can I upgrade the firmware to 2.5 and still safely receive AT&T voice and BIS data services?  I guess what I'm really asking is whether there are compatiability issues I shold be aware of???
    2. If I find later that have any issues, or AT&T arrests me (kidding, sort of) can I safely downgrade back to firmware v2.2.4?
I don't care a wit about whether AT&T offically supports these O/S versions.  There little of that expected or needed anyway.  What I'm asking is "will it work technically or is AT&T doing something funky on their network with file transfer protocols, etc.?"
Any feedback here will be much appreciated!

  • Can't upgrade ipod touch to ios 5 beta 2?

Hi everyone! I recently tried to upgrade my firmware from ios 5 beta 1 to ios 5 beta 2 (I have a developer account, paid the $99 and everything).
The upgrade to beta 1 from 4.3.3 was pretty much flawless. When I tried to upgrade to ios 5 beta 2, it seemed to work until the last step, at which point the ipod touch was off and could not be turned on. When connected to a computer, it said it was stuck in recovery mode. I couldn't switch my firmware in Organizer any more, not even back to beta 1.
I restored down to 4.3.3 again cause I figured it would wipe the whole thing and let me upgrade back to beta 1 at least. That much worked, I have an ipod with 4.3.3 on it.
Now when I try to upgrade back UP to beta 2 or even beta 1 again, I get this error: "Could not allocate buffer (file exists)" and the ipod goes back into recovery mode, and I must again restore down to 4.3.3.
What file is this, how can I delete it, and how can I upgrade again to beta 2? This ought to be the last time I need to upgrade with a wired connection, since all updates from Beta 2 onwards are OTA as far as I know.
I was quite fearful of "bricking", but a friend who is far more familiar with the inner workings of the ipod touch than I am has assured me that since the computer detected it in recovery mode, it wasn't a lost cause.
I was originally attempting the install from a slightly older version of Xcode, which is probably the root cause of this problem and I am now kicking myself.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Plus and minus DVD format on new g5's..... Can I upgrade?

I see on the new g5's that they list plus and minus format dvd burning cabability. Can I upgrade to that ability? The current drive is very picky about media. Memorex 8x won't work. Tdk 8x will. Tdk 16x won't . I find it very annoying. It looks like there is a multiformat drive already in my g5's. How can I make them burn both plus and minus? I am running 0s 10.4.6 Is there a better drive that is not so picky? Thanks

What software are you using to burn with?
If you're using software that allows you to select the burn speed (e.g. Toast), what speed are you burning at?
Can you describe what happens when the burns don't work? Do you get an error message, does the burn just stop partway through, etc.?
From my experience, the Pioneer is less finicky, but this is just from anecdotal evidence as I've only used Pioneer drives, with the exception of the burner in my PowerBook which is a Matsushita.
I'm reluctant to suggest buying a new drive. Is there any particular reason that +R burning is necessary? If the students bought them and the drive doesn't like them, maybe they can exchange the unused discs. Or, it might be helpful to try several different brands (I know you've already tried Memorex and TDK). Maybe try some Maxell and Verbatim.
The Pioneer drives can be found for between $40 and $50. One of the best things about the Pioneers is that they periodically release firmware updates to the drives to enable new media to be used and to improve burn reliability. I believe OSX 10.4.6 is the first to provide native support for a non-OEM DVR-110.

  • Is it necessary to be connected to wireless router/ap to upgrade firmware of WRE54G V1.0 ?

Is it necessary to be connected to wireless router/access point to upgrade firmware of WRE54G V1.0 in order to support universal repeater mode ??? Please let me know with full details what should I do in order to upgrade the firmware but without stay connected (in range) of a signal of a wireless router ot an access point. Thanks.

    Hey mike,
the static IP of 192.168.1.5 has to be assigned to one of the wireless PC's that you have....make sure that you assign the static IP to the "wireless network connection" . once you have done so....check if you are able to see the SSID of the WER54G..connect to that SSID...and then try to ping 192.168.1.240 from the command prompt...if you get replies...then try to upgrade the firmware.
Can someone walk me through the steps of assigning the static IP to the "wireless network connection" referred to in the last post? I would assume you would right click on My Network Places, then right click on the "wireless network connection", but give me the steps after that. I don't want to screw anything up. Also, is it necessary to turn the router off, or can I just temporarily disable the connection on my laptop?
    Thanks,

  • NO WI-FI 3G On my E71 after upgrading firmware to ...

I have upgraded my firware version from RM-346 TO RM-493  and WLAN/3G option is missing in phone, I found in wikipedia that wlan is restricted in china. Is there a way that I can downgrade my firmware to the previous one?
MODERATOR'S NOTE: Post edited, name of unauthorised software removed. Please do not mention this software again on the forum.

You reset network connections, try a restore? More than likely if these do not solve the issue it's a hardware issue. I'd visit the apple store.

how to upgrade firmware on 7921g wireless phone from 1.0.2 to 1.0.4 via USB?
The 7921g is connected via USB to a PC. I am using a browser to access the phone. Documentation says "Click the Phone Upgrade hyperlink under SYSTEM options. " but that option is not present or not visible.

You can use the Phone Upgrade area on the web page to upgrade firmware files on the phones by using the USB connection or by using the WLAN. To upgrade the phone software, enter the phone software TAR (firmware file name) or use the Browse button to locate the firmware file on the network.
To display the Phone Upgrade area, access the web page for the phone as described in the Accessing the Configuration Web Page for a Phone section available at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7921g/5_0_1/english/administration/guide/21adm50.pdf
