E65 Message Tone

i have a problem with my E65 when a message is received there is no tone. I have tried it one other settings such as "Outdoor" and changing the tone and it still doesn't work. Can anyone help? Thanks

E72 : Unable to hear message tone

whenever i receive messages on my e72 phone.....at first i will be able to hear the message tone but after a while i wont be able to hear the message tone. Then wen i switch off and switch on my phone, i wil be able to hear my tone back. So i thought at first that it might be a software problem....so i updated my software to 071.004....so far it was working fine and now sdnly its back to how it used to be....has anyone faced a similar problem to mine??? Does any1 know wat is probably the problem with my phone???

yes thats the issue so back them up on ovi or delete and also do the same for your sent folder if its got messages

It sounds like even though the Mute switch is not on, sounds are not making the, well, sound they should, and the volume buttons make a blank volume indicator appear on the screen that does not show the volume level.
I wanted to recommend a couple of things.
First, I would reset the phone:
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If that does not resolve the issue, then you may want to try backing up to iTunes, and restoring the iPhone again but this time do not restore the backup and set it up as new to see if the issue persists without the previous configuration.

I'm not sure I understand the question, is the message tone going more then once?
Turn off repeat message alert here:
settings > notifications > messages > repeat alert > never
Some people have found this does not stop the repeat miessage tone,
if you are one of those then I suggest you contact Apple:

They may not respond, but hopefully will fix in uodate if enough people complain.

Amber Nokia Message Tone and volume settings

I really like the photo updates and ability to block phone calls in the new amber lumia.
however, something I noticed immediately after receiving some texts is that the Nokia Message Tone was changed. Slightly different tone as well as sounding about 10 times quieter! I always had the volume set at 15/30 and I could usually hear it even if I was in a next-door room to the phone. Now I cannot even hear it most of the time in my pocket!
Another suggestion, I would make, and it's always been before the update; is making to ability set two different volumes. One for ringer and another for media. I always had to turn volume down when listening to music, etc before. Then turned back up when I finished so the ringer would be set.

HT201412 Message tones is not working sometimes

1.My iPhone 5 message tones is not working sometimes suddenly, have to restart device or eventhought sometimes is not working too after restart my device. I have to reset my iPhone n restore again .
2.Restore with iOS is not as good as last time coz I can't get back all my iOS photo stream photos n all the photo in my albums too. This is ***** n takes few days also not complete download all of my photos.
3.some of my iPhone apps will suddenly not respond or will log out to home screen suddenly . Have to open the apps few times only its working as normal .

[N95 8Gb] No more MP3 ringtones and message tones....

Last night I cleared my N95 8Gb of all the music and tranferred some new albums with Nokia Music afterwards. Now I'm not able to select any song or sound effect from my music collection as ringtone anymore!!
I can select a song in Music Player and set it as ringtone but I cannot go via settings and browse my MP3's... The same goes for message tones: I'm only able to select the standard **bleep** ringtones and none of the sound effects I uploaded as MP3 using Nokia Music.
I beginning to be amazed at how **bleep** Nokia Music can possibly be: before, everything worked like a charm and I was totally pleased with my N95 8Gb but now I can't even do the most basic things due to this piece of junk that Nokia calls Nokia Music...

I have a similar problem (N95-1). All the songs i have (about 400+) will not show up. When i remove the memory card, all the songs on the phone shows up. Try this fix (I am using the latest firmware).
Navigate to the Home Media App (Main Menu>Tools>Connectivity>Home Media), Share Content: Select Options (Left Softkey), then refresh contents. It will take some time depending on the number of songs, videos and photos you have. After it has finished refreshing, you should be able to select any song from the phone or memory card from within the tones menu.

It depends on what you mean by "save".
You can view the text(s) on your iPhone screen, and take a screen shot of your screen by briefly holding the home and on/off buttons together. Then you can save the resulting camera roll photo.

Can't set sound clip as message tone

I have an N73 and i noticed that i cant use any of my sound clips as my message tone. I can for ring tone and i also notice my friends N73 allows her to do it but i dont have that option any ideas??

It is possible to use recorded sound as an alert.Save the sound under sound clips.Go to tools > profile > general > scroll down to message alert tone. There you will see your recording.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?

N97 mini: loudness of message tone

in am using the general profile on a Nokia N97 mini. The loudness of 'message alert tone' is too loud for me.I don't find a variable where I can change the loudness of the 'incoming message' (sms) tone.

Yes, ringing tone volume controls message tone too. It would be nice to have separate controls. As advised above, you need to try to sort a quieter message tone if you still need the louder ringing volume.
Alternatively, create a "quiet" profile where both ringing and message volume is low enough not to disturb the room, yet loud enough for you to notice.

You can't (officially).
You can only create your own ringtones.
If your phone is jailbroken, you can search Cydia etc for apps that allow you to do so.

Message Tones Problems

After updating my iPhone 4 to OS 5.0.1
the message tone (regardless which one I choose)
keeps on ringing and freezing and cutting off as if it gets intercepted.
It never rings normally.

this worked for my Iphone 4
Go to:
Settings
General
Accesability
Assistive touch - switch to on.
using the assistive touch (the white circle that now appears on your screen), go to:
Device
Then tap the bell (mute) icon.
This should fix the issue. To test it (without having to wait for someone to call you) write an SMS and see if the keyboard clicks are audible.
I hope this solves your issue like it did mine. If it doesn't maybe try tapping that mute icon again and/or flicking the actual mute bottom on the left hand side of your iPhone.
