E66 bluetooth pairing with BMW

Hi,
I have a BMW 6 series and recently bought the new E66. I could not find any posting on bluetooth pairing problems with this model. It is the same classic issue with phonebook.
I installed Contact Download Application" and made sure it was running on the phone. I paired the phone and car and nothing worked even with one contact.
I had Sony Ericsson before and had no problem.
I would be very thankful for your help

I called on Nokia support and they diagnosed the problem, but unfortunately they did not provide the solution. The new E66 is running on 2.0 Bluetooth platform while my older phones are onm 1.2 so either I change my 6 series or the E66. I am sure you know my decision :-)

E66 & Bluetooth connection with Jawbone BT

As a long term user of bluetooth (first experience was with an Ericsson phone in 2001!), I am after some assistance.
E66 Nokia - recently updated with latest firmware - 300.21.012
Jawbone Prime BT headset - new
The E66 pairs with the Jawbone without a problem BUT the E66 will not hold the connection for more than 20 - 30 seconds before disconnecting. It then re-connects briefly before disconnecting again. After a 3rd attempt, it then fails to re-connect.
I have paired the Jawbone to my laptop via bluetooth and it remains connected and useable..
I changed my BT headset from a Jabra 250v as I had the same problems but assumed that the problem was the jabra and not the Nokia...
Therefore, I am assuming that the problem lies with the NOKIA and it's bluetooth.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you set your paired device as authorized?
Connectivity>Bluetooth>Paired devices>"your device name">options>set as authorized.

Why won't new nano pair with BMW?

I just bought the new nano. I like everything about it but am disappointed about the inability to pair it with the bluetooth in my 2008 BMW 328i.
According to bmwusa.com, my vin # has the latest bluetooth that BMW offers. I'd think that would mean it would pair, but it will not.
Caveats:
1.) I have meticulously followed the BMW instructions on bluetooth pairing.
2.) I can pair my iPhone 4s in this vehicle
3.) I tried deleting the 4s and power cycling both the car and the nano. But I still could not not pair the nano.
Anyone out there know how to solve this?

Do you by chance know if a car's bluetooth can be upgraded to A2DP?
Btw, I checked with my BMW dealer and they couldn't really help. Their only feedback was that my 2008 vehicle has the latest-and-greatest bluetooth offered by BMW and that their 2012 models have no capabilities beyond that of my 2008.

IPhone 5S bluetooth pairing with prius in-car phone Issue

Let me begin by saying that this is my first problem with any apple device! EVER!!
I have an Verizon iPhone 5S, less than 2 months old, with the new OS 8.0.2 update and it will no longer pair correctly with my 2012 Prius V's in-car bluetooth phone. You try to call someone, it doesn't connect and you can't hang up!!!! Then auto-calls them when you turn the bluetooth on (in the phone)... but doesn't physically make the call on the phone. Now if the bluetooth in my phone is on, and I even start the car, the car states it's trying to call home. I have attempted many of the following in different combinations with no success:
Tried to end the call on the car's interface (it won't turn off), pressed the hang up button on the steering wheel -- nada.
Restarted Phone
Turned Car on/off/on
Removed all pairings and re-paired them together
Made sure the LTE option was on (the iPhone 6 option, which seems to be relatively successful, for data and voice/voice only/data only is not an option on iPhone 5S)
Now, my husband has a Droid 4 and it works seamlessly with the bluetooth pairing. The car does play, through the bluetooth, Audio through the phone.
I guess I should also state I did NOT have any issues with iOS 8.0 or the 8.0.1 upgrades with pairing with the car's bluetooth technology. I have checked and my Entune "upgrades" are all up to date.

Bluetooth Pairing with Microsoft Sync - Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD

After the upgrade of my father-in-law's phone to KitKat (v 4.4.2) the bluetooth pairing to his Microsoft Sync in a 2013 Ford Explorer no longer works right. After deleting the pairing on the vehicle and then repairing, the contacts do not copy over. It says "downloading contacts, please wait" then comes back a few seconds later saying "no contacts". I've deleted and recreated the pairing on the vehicle twice but I cannot seem to delete it in the displayed devices on the phone.
I would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks for confirming Werica. I'm pleased to hear that the bluetooth functionality is still working. This sounds more specific to the hands free bluetooth system in your vehicle. Have you been able to test the device with another vehicle or another bluetooth capable accessory? If the device will works successfully with the others, I apologize our control is limited with a specific vehicle.

Problem remebering bluetooth pairing with 09 Saab (Gm blue tooth)

I have a 09 saab 9-3, and the car has built in blue tooth. The problem is when i pair the phone it works while the car stays on that whole time. The minuet i turn the car off and try to come back into the car it will not reconnect. If you go to setting and blue tooth and try to tap the correct device it still wont reconnect. The only way to get my GM Blue tooth and my Apple iphone to work is to pair it every time i sit in the car and that just isn't feasible!

1.   Click the Manage Connections icon on your Home screen
2.   First, verify that the Bluetooth technology is turned On
3.   Then select Set Up Bluetooth
4.   Click Search to find other devices or Listen to allow your BlackBerry smartphone to be discovered by other Bluetooth devices
5.   Click on the device you would like to pair with and enter the Numeric Passkey if required
6.   Click Yes
7.   To connect to a paired device, click the Options icon on the Home screen
8.   Select Bluetooth
9.   Click on a Bluetooth enabled device and select Connect
Make sure your headset is also in discoverable mode. Instructions should be included in it's user manual. If this does not work, then I would assume a compatibility issue.
Disclaimer: I'm just a regular user like the rest of you. I have spent a lot of time learning the limitations of the Blackberries to know how to fix most problems. If I have suggested a fix, please give a kudo and mark as a solution!

IPad won't bluetooth pair with Mac mini

I would like to use Mobile Mouse by RPA Tech on my IPad mini to control my Mac mini running OS X 10.6.8. It would be my preference to use a Bluetooth PAN instead of WiFi, I say this because Bluetooth peripherals seem to auto-connect better than Wifi, might be my imagination. Anyway, I can't get my iPad to pair with the Mac. The Mac sends a code, the iPad asks if I want to pair, then the pairing comes back as unsuccessful. Any ideas?

It is not designed to. The ipad will not even connect with it with air drop. You can only pair a mouse or keyboard.

Lumia 800 BlueTooth pairing with Windows 7 PC not ...

Today i tried pairing up my Nokia Lumia 800 with Windows 7 PC, the bluetooth pairing is not working. The Nokia Lumia 800 is saying my Windows 7 PC as 'not supported'. I quite dont understand this behavior, earlier i tried to pair with my other Android phone, same issue. Am I missing anything in this.

You can always manage or configure the switch via HyperTerminal. You can connect the PC to a serial cable and access the switch via the serial port. Hyper Terminal doesn’t depend on the IP address of the switch so you can manage it. To access the switch via Hyper Terminal, follow this link:

Can the Apple Watch Bluetooth pair with a car

Just curious; can the watch be paired to a car's Bluetooth?

There seems to be conflicts with the Apple Watch, iPhone6 Bluetooth and car connectivity. The iPhone is the hub that Bluetooth goes through for both the watch and the car, the watch itself is not pairing to the car. I have an iPhone 6 Plus that has no problem connecting to my Toyota RAV4 EV audio and phone system via Bluetooth. I recently paired an Apple Watch to the phone, and all was well until the next time I got into my car. The automobile Bluetooth would no longer automatically pair with the phone, and when I forced a connection, the result was that my watch would no longer receive calls. I left it alone, and a few days later I realized that my watch had ceased other operations as well: it would no longer charge with the provided dock, and sending taps, heartbeats and on-watch texts immediately failed. Ultimately, I had to remove the car Bluetooth connection from my iPhone and reset the watch to "out of the box" settings before it became functional again. At this point I cannot connect the iPhone to the car via Bluetooth without impacting the watch. Apple Watch devs: software fix, please!
