E66, dictionary, spelling problem

German spelling, selected language: German
For some reason my e66 is spelling some words not correctly:
if I type the german word "mit" oder "jetzt" the e66 is writing "miu" and "jetzu".
The correct version of the words I can select by using the *-key, but this is annoying!
How can I get rid if this wrong spelling without formatting the e66 , since it takes some time to personalize a phone your way.

Just figured it out for the N86. I would believe it works for other phones with the same operating system also.
As the dictionary "learns" which words you are using the most, I did the following to solve the "dev/det" problem:
When for instance writing an sms (with T9), write "dev" and change to "det" as many times it takes until "det" comes up as the first choice. For me it took 15-20 times, and the problem is solved

structure zzafrud is active but in error it shows not active.

Spanish Dictionary and problems with spanish special characters

I need a spanish dictionary, with all spanish words. I know that your priority are france, spanish, germany and Italy. So, the component has problems with spanish special words, this problem was notified before.
Have you ready something? A new version?

E66 usb connection problem

Hello,
i own a Nokia E66. Since i updated my phone i cannot connect it to the pc using the usb cable. There is a file in the phone called 2002aa97.sis and after the update it says that this file is corrupted. This file is responsible for the usb connection. Is there a way to download this file?? Or any other solution??

EJB and Dictionary Deployment Problem

Hi,
I am new to SAP J2EE engine. I tried deploying a simple EJB application with one entity(CMP) and one stateless session bean but cud not succeed. These were the problems:
1. When I used SAPDB for CMP, it said the table TMP_EMPLOYEE (which the CMP bean maps to, as per persistet.xml) is not found in the catalog. Then I created a dictionary project with the TMP_EMPLOYEE table defined, but I couldn't deploy the dictionary archive. SDM (from the NWS IDE) says this:

The SDA with development component 'EmployeeDB'/'sap.com'/'localhost'/'2004.11.25.19.41.45' changed its software type from J2EE to JDDSCHEMA. This change is not supported.
Deployment will be aborted.

2. When I changed the DB provider to MS_SQL_SERVER, which had EMPLOYEEDB/TMP_EMPLOYEE defined, and the SQL server was started, the Table was again not found! (i.e., if I switch off deploy-time table verification, this TableLockingException is thrown. Otherwise ORMappingVerificationException is thrown when the deploy-time verification switch is on).
I have specified the resource-ref etc properly now. This sample application also has a servlet which tries to access the session bean, which inturn talks to the CMP bean. I'm sure that the JNDI names are properly referred.
I am using SAP J2EE engine 6.40 with SP9 and IDE is 2.0.9.
Another thing: I tried to deploy the tutorial 'Car Rental EJB Application' application's dictionary. Even that failed with the same error!
Please help me with this.

E66 software update problem

hi,
i'm trying to update my e66 firmware from 210.21.007 to 300.21.012.
all previous firmware updates i did on this phone had no issues.
but this time something goes wrong.
this is what happens: i set the profile to "general", disable any passwords, charge the battery and connect the phone.
i start the nokia software updater, it detects my phone and the new firmware available.
it starts and completes the download and after that it just freezes at "estimated time left : 15 minutes".Nothing new happens, it just stays that way whatever i do.(i waited for several hours)
i tried several times now and i get the same issue.
disconnecting the phone doesn't work either, i have to use the task manager to shut down the program.
after disconnecting, the phone works perfect, it has no issue.
i noticed that in the early stages of the update process the phone's screen goes white and then dark.
i even received calls during the update process.
i also updated a n86 on the same pc, same software a few days ago and had no problems at all.
please help.

Xperia Z1 Chinese Keyboard - Phonepad with dictionary on problem

Hi all,
Need your help, i just change my very old Xperia S to the latest Z1, I noticed when I set the keyboard to Chinese Keyboard and for portrait I set to phonepad with dictionary on, when i want to key in for example "How" for old Xperia S, all HTC phone i just need to press key 4,6 and 9 then it should show How as first choice but Z1 show 469 as first choice, Z1 will always show number as first option instead of words!!! This will slow down the input really doesn't make sense. I tied to serach all the possible setting but I can't solve this problem. Pls. help.

I have also noticed this problem, it only started happening since I updated to the new Android. It Is very annoying!

"Check spelling" problems

When I do a "check spelling" using CS4 it tells me that there should be a capitalized letter on the beginning of each line of text.
The text is set flush left.
Is there anyway to smarten up the check spelling function?
Example:

It tells me that that there should be a cap for the m on "me", a cap on the t in "the", a cap for the f in "flush."

I do know about the suggestion from OldBob1957.
I used to use Freehand (the good old days). Don't recall having this sort of problem. Freehand also let you just spell check
what ever text you highlighted, not all the text on the page.
Guess I'll have to fire up an old Mac and see if I'm right about Freehand.

1) how to undo spelling additions to "dictionary"; how to go to intial ff dictionary spelling?

Suggestion for feature: When user is adding a word-spelling to the 'dictionary', make an extra pop-up layer that asks if user really wants to. This way accidents won't happen. (Trust me: they are happening. _It is too easy now to accidentally add a new spelling to the ff dictionary._)

Dictionary Font problem - E52

hey pals,
i've updated built-in dictionary with additional language Hindi but font is not getting displayed , instead it shows just boxes. Any ideas why it happens.......and any solution??
bought the phone in singapore and using in India.
Also how to get regional font support for my phone e52?? plz help!!!

E66 Dial pad problem

My E66 got stuck many times and I could not able to dial from log unless restart my E66, however I have done manytimes factory setting, but the aforesaid problem hasn't been resolved.

Called tech support and was told to reset all setting on the phone.
Did a call test and it seemed to work thus far.

Spelling Problems... Red dotted underline

I don't mind having spell checker turned on in safari, but it's underlining too many correct and common word. Even the word "spelling" is underlined in the subject of this email.
any suggestions?

One test you can do to help narrow down things is to try Safari in another user account.
This will help us to know whether your problem is local to your account or system wide. If you don't have another account you can use System Preferences -> Accounts -> \[+\] to create a test one (and \[-\] to remove it if needed)

E66 wifi connection problem

Hi everybody,
With my zyxel 660hw61 adsl modem, I can easily connect to the internet with my ps3, laptop, and pc. But it is not possible with my new e66. I closed all security web etc, I saw the MAC number of e66 on adsl's web page (meaning connection). But there is no way to reach internet page. On the phone saying "no response by the gateway" . I read the same "fault warning" on people's pages complaining the same thing too. I also found nothing about solution. I tried everything including static ip, dhcp on/off,tkip,web 64,128 , no mac restrictions etc.
I think this is a bug waiting for to be fixed soon by nokia. if you have the same problem and a solution, I'll be so glad, thank u all

E66 picture msg problem

im having a problem with mms, whenever i get a pic it only downloads it as a very small file ( 2-6 kb) iv tested my sim with other phone and it seems to be my nokia that is the problem.does anyone else have this problem or is it just a settings issue that iv missed somehow!

We maintain only one base dictionary and have not had the needs for different base dictionaries.
A snapshot is a virtual dictionary. I mix use the term unintentionally because I am a dba and study builder
I like to use 'load' which means loading new version of meddrua or whodrug into base dictionary. I guess you can call it 'upgrade' as well since the base dictionary is changed. But I like to reserve the team 'upgrade' to software not database content.
