E66 USB cable stuck to phone

Hi, I need urgent help. I just bought my e66 today. I tried to setup the pc suite software by connecting my pc to the phone via the USB cable. But when I tried to unplug the USB cable connected to the phone it got stuck. I don't want to pull it out by force. I don't think that I connect the cable to the phone wrong, because I didn't jam it in and the pc suite can detect the phone and all. Is it possible to plug the USB cable wrongly? Because I noticed that the USB cable had a specific shape, that match with the phone port or else it won't get plug. Am i missing something? Is there a specific method to unplug the cable? I read the manual, but it didn't write much on USB cable connection. Please give some tips or ways to solve this.

The cable should just pull out. There is no button to press or anything else like that.

Hi, does the USB cable recharge the phone when connected?
    Thanks.
    Solved!

I just read that the USB cable CA-101 that comes with the N78 supports charging. Why isn't it charging? Should I configure something on the phone?

Try to force your phone into recovery mode. Disconnect it from the computer's USB cord. Turn it off if you can by holding the sleep/wake switch until you see the red slide to off. If you can't turn it off, please continue. Press and hold the home button while plugging it into the computer's USB cord. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • USB Cable Stuck?

I just received my new iPod Nano, 3rd generation today. I've had two iPods before, and have never had problems with the USB cable. I plugged it in and transferred all my songs onto it, and ejected it properly. I unplugged the one end from my laptop, and now that I go to unplug the end from the iPod, I realize it doesn't have any buttons on the side to release the little arms that keep the USB locked in place! I can't get the USB out! Am I missing something here? Is there some other button somewhere to release it? I'm going to be pretty angry if this is a manufacturing error, and if I have to send it back! Please help!

The newer USB cables as supplied with your nano don't have buttons on the side to push to release the cable any more - just grab the plug firmly and pull until it comes out of the dock connector port. If your iPod is new then it may be a bit stiffer to pull out the first few times but the more you use it the easier it gets!

  • USB cable stuck in ipod

This may seem strange - I put the cable in at the bottom of the ipod and connected to the pc. The ipod charged and transfered music. However, when I finally wanted to disconnect the cable it remained stuck in the ipod as if locked. It does not want to budge.
Does anyone have a clue to this mystery?

Are you pressing the release catches at the side of connector before trying to pull the cable out? There are little teeth in the dock connector to lock it in place so it doesn't get pulled out accidentally.

  • How can I tether my Blackberry over USB cable (to sync info)? [SOLVED]

Firstly, I have to thank all of you for making this such a great community and excellent guide to getting almost anything working on Linux - this is what makes Archlinux the best distro IMHO.  I have hardly ever needed to post anything here because the answers are almost always either in the wiki or the forums.
Lately though, I received a Blackberry 8310 and wanted to tether it to use its data plan here in Ecuador.  After following http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Blu … GPRS_Howto using a small USB bluetooth adaptor, this has worked well and the connection stays up nicely, though very slow (to be expected).  Blueman is a great program!  Looking at improving my connection speeds (and reducing my latency), I am now trying to get the phone tethered via a USB cable to the phone, rather than over-the-air (Bluetooth).
The problem I am having is that I cannot establish which device exactly is the USB port connecting to?  Before this phone, this worked fine on my Nokia E51 setting the modem to be /dev/ACM0.  On Nokia, I would connect the phone, select PCSuite mode and 'sudo wvdial movistar' or my /etc/ppp/peers/movistar script would work fine.  Blackberry however is a whole different kind of animal.  I connect it with a standard USB cable, select 'no' to mass-storage-mode on the phone, and can see it in lsusb fine but the only device I seem to be able to use is /dev/tty2 but modem not initialising.
How can I be certain which device I am using?  Will post some lsusb and dmesg.log out put when I get home to give you more info.
thanks for any guidance you can give me,

Well, haven't got much further here unfortunately, though I have more logs and debug information now:
First, I connect the blackberry to the USB port and run 'lsusb':
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
so I have my blackberry device listed by the looks of things..
I then run (for more info):

Maybe the blackberry required 'usb_modeswitch' - though I could not work out how to use this command
Any ideas out there?  Is there a simple way for me to probe USB devices in use?  As far as I can tell it IS /dev/tty2 but I need to confirm this.
    Many thanks,

  • How Do We Charge N8 with its USB Cable?

    Hello Everyone,
I tried to charge my N8 with USB cable but it didn't charge. I connected its USB Cable to my phone and laptop, but it didn't start charging my N8. Do I have to do something else?
If you know anything about it, please share the information here.
    Thank you..
    ToLGa

You can't but they may be a way around it. Not all usb ports support charging. Try the different ports on your laptop and see if any of them don't charge.

  • Nokia 130: Cannot connect to PC with USB cable

I recently bought a Nokia 130 and tried to connect it to my PC via USB cable, but the phone only displayed "Charging" instead of a menu to choose "Data Storage". Why was that? I felt like I was cheated.

Good day, Rino130. Are you still having the same issue? If so, let us isolate your concern by using another USB cable. You can also try connecting your phone to another computer to check if there's any difference and then let us know the outcome. BTW, welcome to our community.

  • Having problems with USB cable, please HELP!

While trying to download aim/aol I was having problems with my USB cable and my phone being connected, it was like they were showing they were conneted but when I tried to download aim it said no drivers were recognised. My phone was giving me the option when the USB cable was plugged in asking me if I wantd to do something to do with the media mass storage.
Anyway, once the drivers were downloaded to my comp and I plugged USB cable into my phone and comp i'm no longer being asked on my blackberry about the mass storage, my phone doesn't seem to be recogniaing tht it's linked up to my computer at all even though it's showing the little plug thing in my blackberry and coming up on the computer.
Is there anybody out there who can help me?!
    Please!
    Cheers!

  • Updating without USB cable?

I have Nokia 2700 Classic with outdated firmware pre-installed... Maybe it's possible somehow update firmware, using Bluetooth (or memory card), because I do not have USB cable for this phone model...

No it isn't possible to update without a cable, only option now for you is to take it a Nokia care center and let them update it.

My iPhone 4s is stuck on a black screen that shows a USB cable connecting to iTunes. The phone will not turn on and the iTunes logo as I described only shows up when I plug the phone into the charger or my computer. I have tried the reset in restore mode as well as the DFU? mode and it still will not work. I have the latest version of iTunes on my Mac. My error code was 2002. I also tried it on my laptop (windows 8.1) and none of the above worked. My error code on my laptop was 02. The phone is through Verizon and it has absolutely no damage. It was working fine up until this and I have been trying to fix it for 2 days. Please help! I am unsure of what version the phone was currently running on before this because I have another iphone that's my primary phone and have not used this one in about a month. I do not believe it was updated to IOS 7.

Your iPhone is in recoverty mode at the moment so to possibly get it back up and running you would need to do a restore as you have been trying. Follow the steps in the article below for the specific error messages you have been receiving. If after following all steps the issue remains book an appointment at a local Apple Retail Store to have the iPhone evaluated.

  • HT201263 My phone is stuck on insert usb cable connect to itunes screen. this happened during my iOS 7 update.

I was updating my iPhone 4S to the iOS 7 system. During update my phone froze. It's stuck on insert USB cable connect to itunes screen. I've already tried turning my phone off holding Home key while inserting my cord into phone and nothing worked. I've tried DFU mode and that wont work either. What the heck do I do now? So annoyed with this.

I've also restarted my computer and still nothing.
