hi neilor , The icon what you see is the DST icon. If teh DST is set to ON, then that I con is displayed. Based on some rules DST sets ON/OFF for the current time zone set in device . you can check the DST period in the following website : http://timeanddate.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Kudos.. if this helped you

  • Cannot add/remove clocks in Notification Center's World Clock widget.

I was trying to reverse-engineer the somewhat cryptic white/black clock face in the new World Clock widget in Yosemite's Notification Center. (It turns out that is the clock face color is white when the time is in the range 06:00 to 18:00, and black when the time is 18:00 to 06:00.) While doing this, I added new time zones by adding new clocks. After adding the eigth clock, however, I lost the ability to add or remove clocks, so now I'm stuck at eight.
I looked around ~/Library/Preferences, but could only find com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist, which governs the placement of the widgets, not their actual configuration. Seems like a bug I'll have to live with for now.
Would love to hear about a way to patch this bug (configuration file somewhere), or work around it through other means.

Oif. I just discovered that the ⓘ icon in the upper right is actually a configuration icon, and not an information icon. You need to hit that to enable the add/remove buttons for changing the selection of cities.

  • My clock icon disapeared off my screen, my clock icon disapeared off my screen?

my clock icon disappeared off the home screen and I can not find it combined with any other app - how do I get that and the world clock back?

Default apps cannot be deleted and the Clock app cannot be restricted.  Look on all screen and folders.  If not found, reset your home screen layout under Settings > General > Reset

  • I have lost my air play option has been replaced by world clock in lower pop up bar haven't changed anything?

I have lost my air play icon it has been replaced by world clock on lower pop up screen have not changed any settings?

You have to have an active AirPlay enabled device that the iPad can see in order for the icon to appear in the control center. What AirPlay devices do you have and are they turned on? If they are turned on, try restarting or rebooting them. Try resetting the iPad as well.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • My iphone 3gs has started showing the wrong time  and date. All was fine until this afternoon when it changed.  My apps have the right time and date. However the world clock is wrong. I have to turn off the automatic time setting to get the right time.

My iphone is showing the wrong time and date. All was well until sometime this afternoon when it changed...  to Nov 5 (2 days prior to today), and about 9 hours and some minutes before the actual time.  The world clock for my time zone shows the same wrong date and time. My calender shows the same wrong date and time.  The phone can not find my time zone any more.   The only fix I found was to turn off the automatic setting for time.  What is  happening? Ideas?

  • Blackberry 9300 Small clock icon and fast battery drain

Hello there! My girlfriend's been having problems with her 9300. A couple of days ago, a small clock icon started appearing whenever she would try to use a menu item on her blackberry, or when she would try and turn off the lock. She also found that the battery would drain signifigantly faster, to the point where a full charge won't last a day.
She has no 3rd party apps installed, and has wireless disabled. Yesterday, we took it to the local store and they replaced the battery. When she's had these problems, she's turned the phone off and removed/reinstalled the battery to no effect.
    Thank you for your time.

Hi, I had the same problem... I found the solution and the culprit is compression...
Menu >> Option >> Device >> Storage >> Enable Compression...
Disable this and the pain is over... my battery has popped back to normal...

  • From where can I download the original Dashboard World Clock for OS 10.6.8? Mine's not working

    Hi there,
I'm not sure what happened but my Dashboard World Clock doesn't work anymore. I had taken it off my dashboard along with other widgets when I was trying to speed up my computer. I then added the same widgets back to the dashboard except the World Clock no longer showed up in the widgets list. The other widgets were all fine.
I can see the World Clock widget file in my widgets folder in Library but it won't show up anywhere on the dashboard so I'd like to download a new file to see if that helps.
    Thanks!

There are multiple world clock dashboard widgets available.
See if you can find the one for the image you posted >   Apple - Downloads - Dashboard
The glitch may be that the one want has been updated to a newer user interface.

  • Bug in iOS world clock not refreshing?

If I view the world clock in iOS 7 and leave to another app for a few minutes/hours, and then return to the clock app, the world clock remains at the time I last viewed it. It appears to not refresh to the latest time. The only way to update the clock is if I view something else in the clock app such as alarms etc. or tap it from digital to analog and back.
    Does this happen to you?
I have 11 time zones setup.

Hi Ckuan, the issue is back. I think it's a bug. Here is another screenshot.
    Steps to repeat:
    1. view the world clock in digital view (I have tested with 11 clocks)
    2. leave the world clock as-is and go to other apps
    3. go back to the world clock after several minutes/hours without touching the clocks
If you scroll the clocks, it can refresh to the latest time. Some clocks are already refreshed. Some are at the last time viewed.
This issue can happen with or without automatically setting the time. When travelling, I turn off several features. I noticed this when I nearly missed a meeting and quoted a time incorrectly.

  • IPhone World Clock doesn't show the correct times

How do I get the iPhone to show the correct World Clock times. I have the time zone set to San Diego and the clock time is correct. When I set San Diego as one of the World Clock times it shows a time 7 hours behind. New York is 4 hours behind instead of 3 hours ahead, the same 7 hour bust.

    emr1100 ,
Have you tried resetting the phone.? Hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button until it restarts. If that doesn't work, try a restore....please back up your data with a sync before you restore the phone. If that doesn't work take it back to the Apple stor and let them take a look at it. They will fix it or give you another phone. Another idea...call AT&T to see if sometining can be "reset" on their end. You never know ...that might work also.

  • World clock and language settings

LS, If I have my iPod set to local language (Dutch), the world clock shouws all cities in the US as been in the Netherlands, i.e.: Las Vegas, Netherlands. When the laguange set is English, cities are shown correctly, i.a. Atlanta, US. My S/W version is 1.1.2; anybody any thoughts here? THX.

mh, works fine for me, so I guess it's not a general firmware bug.
you could try to restore your ipod, I think that should help.

  • Clock App: No Barcelona in World Clock?!?

Why is Barcelona not an option in world clock? Am I the only one missing this city as an option?

  • Clock icon static

The apps that come with the iPhone include a Calendar and a Clock.
The icon for the Calendar changes to show the current date.
Why does the icon for the Clock always show 10:15? I realize that the time shows at the top of the phone screen anyway, but the Clock icon is more visible, and occasionally throws me off.
(It would be nice if the temperature in the Weather icon were correct, too, but I realize that is more difficult, and it bothers me less.)

Good suggestion - never thought of that before.
Send it to someone who can do something about it http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • Clock icon disappeared / lost

Hi, I still have clock funtionality (alarms go off, etc.) but the only way to access the clock is by searching on the word "clock" using the new search feature. The icon has disappeared or is lost, leaving a blank spot on the home screen. This did not occur immediately following a sync. Rebooting doesn't restore the icon. I haven't had a chance to re-sync yet but just wondered if anyone else had this issue. You're not supposed to be able to delete the clock icon and it's not a choice under "Restrictions".

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to restore, either as new or from a backup.
