E7 cannot make any calls

My E7 can no longer make any phone calls. Everytime I try to make a call its goes beep boop "connection problem" eventhou it has full bars. I got i going again by shutting it down, but now that has stopped working as well. Few time when somebody has called me it has dropped the call at the first second saying "connection problem". What gives?

Four years old SIM sounds pretty old and as said, please try another
SIM in your phone just to make sure your phone is ok.
The new smartphones demands some features also from your SIM-card
that the older ones doesn't.
At least here in Finland, where I live, it's easy to get a new SIM from your
operator. In my hometown here is tens of places where you can do it in 10 mins,
and depending where you go, it costs some 10€ or nothing. It can be done
over the internet also (they'll send a new SIM to your home).

i can recieve calls but cannot make any outbound calls to mobile or landlines. Please help!

Call them toll free from another phone. You should have got the Global Plan on your device before you went to Mexico.
If you have a device with a Sim tray, get a local carriers Sim and use their service. It will cost money in either case.

I cannot make any outgoing calls.

I do have credit but cannot make any outgoing calls to phone numbers. WHen I hit the call button, there is a long silence (while the icon in the screen says "calling" and then, the call ends automatically.

I wonder about the response to this problem. I'm currntly in the UAE and have been now for two weeks and I too am haivng the same problem. The reason for my questioning the response is I didn't come alone. Several individuals and I moved here from Bahrain. I logged off my computer, shut it down, packed it up in my computer bag and carried it on the plan with me. Now we all live in the same building and I'm the only one having problems with Skype. Everyone else has continued to enjoy skype but I cna't make a phone call. Not to a landline or Mobile. I can only receive calls. Please be aware that you are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums. These are user-to-user support forums, so in almost all cases the only people who will reply to your posts are, like me, your fellow users.
As to whether you can work with Apple via email on this issue I can't say for sure, but you can contact them via this web page:

and see if they can help. It's mostly going to be an issue of you being able to prove to them that you are the account owner.

( I search for iChat questions when I have finished in the iChat Forum)
So the menu bar reads iChat, File, Edit, View, Buddies, Video, Window and Help
There is no Buddy List open.
There is no other window for iChat open.
In the iChat Menu you only have access to Status.
Is an item ticked in the list ?
Is this a green (Available item) or Red ( an Away one) ?
Can you access the Accounts option ? (Sitll in the iChat Menu)
Is anything in here ticked ?
In the Window menu any Logged in account should appear in the list (Between the Next Chat and File Transfer items)
It would be useful to know which version of iChat this is.
If no account is ticked (iChat Menu > Accounts) or not showing in the Window Menu, plus you cannot determine the Status and you cannot access the Preferences then you need to access your Home Folder/Library/Preferences
As the Library in the Home Holder is Invisible in Lion you will need the Finder's Go Menu > Go to Folder option (you can use it in earlier OS versions if you want)
Type in:-
~/Library/Preferences
Find the file called com.apple.ichat.plist
Drag it to the Trash and Restart iChat.
This will lose all the settings in iChat that you have changed from Defaults but there is no way around this.

Cannot make outside call (H.323 gateway and CUCM 6)

I cannot make outside calls. I am using H.323 gateway configuration and CUCM 6. I have attached configuration file and debug file. I configured H323 gateway and route pattern in CUCM. Please let me know if this is a configuration issue or telecom issue.

I can see that call is hitting the analog ports but from there on it generates error 34 which means circuit not available. You can try the following :
1. Plug Analog phone and verify if the circuit is fine ?
2. Try putting signal ground start on the voice port and see if that makes any difference.

Cannot make phone calls since a week

Since one week (about), I cannot make any phone calls. I have plenty of credit, and my connection is ok.
My skype version is 4.3.0.37 under ubuntu 12.04.
I tried calling FR, UK and US numbers without success. The phone keeps ringing (skype tone) and never connects. After a moment skype says that the phone call failed.
I tried disabling the "Caller ID" service, but didn't help.
Please help me to solve this..

If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.

There aren't any supported carriers in Pakistan. Apple hasn't released the iPhone there. The OP is using a grey-market iPhone and hence is pretty much on his/her own as regards getting this phone working with the carrier, unless that carrier can help.

IPhone 6 Plus cannot make outgoing calls and cannot send text messages

I haven't been able to make outgoing calls and outgoing messages through my iPhone6+ since yesterday.
I have done research and have tried suggestions like turning the phone into airplane mode, turning off the iPhone, re-setting the network settings, erased all the content of my iPhone and restored backup, erased all contents and used as new phone but I still cannot make outgoing calls nor can I send test messages. At first I thought I did not have sufficient money on my sim card however when I tried my simcard on another iPhone, it worked perfectly. I also tried another simcard on my iPhone, but it still can't make a call. I have never had this problem since I got my new iPhone6+ last December. This is the first time I've had a problem like this with an iPhone and I've been using the iPhone since iPhone 4s,iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. Could there be something wrong with the unit that I have? Is there any other troubleshooting I could do?

If you restored the device as new and it did not work, then I suggest you contact your carrier. The function of phone calls and SMS messages is a carrier function. They would need to test your account. Your only other option would be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have the device examined.
Can you receive a call and/or message? If so, then I would suspect the SIM and the carrier.

The same thing is happening with my wife's iPhone 4 and we can't figure it out. When placing a call, the screen freezes and she needs to restart the entire phone.
She upgraded to 5.01 this morning over the air while it was plugged in. Immediately afterwards, this problem started happening. We've tried restarting the phone several times and plugged in to iTunes but there's nothing she can do do to fix it.

Sorry to hear that you cannot make any FaceTime calls. If you have not done so already, take a look at the article below to go over some general troubleshooting to get it back up and working again.
