E7 Nokia Messaging not working after anna update

hi
nokia messaging not working after anna update. when i
-choose provider (hotmail/gmail/yahoo...etc)
-enter username & password
-click OK to T&C
-get error message: "cannot enable this service on the device"
any ideas?

I'm having a similar issue. It appears to only impact Hotmail accounts. For me though, this happened without updating the OS. The email client is simply failing to connect to the Hotmail interface. Only two possibilities, either Microsoft changed something on the email gateway or Nokia changed something on their end. Either way, it's not working and has been out of commission for the past week. If this is how corporate friends get along, I'd hate to see what happens in a adversarial relationship.

We are aware of the issue and investigation is ongoing.
We have received lot of feedback, but It seems also that all cases are not similar. That's why I request to contact to Nokia Support.
One of the first things we should be looking at with MfE issue is the Admin log files which are located under c:\MailForExchange folder. These logs should help us identify the issues. Please list the settings along with an attachment of those admin log files. Please send them to Nokia Support (Contact Us from this page).
In Symbian Anna, when there is a policy which is not supported, Exchange server may not allow the sync based on one of the server settings. For example the roaming policy may be the one causing the failure, Policy SyncWhileRoaming =1 on the admin log. This will be changed on next update.
However this can happen due to any unsupported policy.
You can identify the problem on the policy and if necessary, then the administrator can toggle it, or set the tick box Allow non provisionable devices on the Exchange server. Otherwise, the device can’t sync.
To make sure you can open the admin logs and compare them to this table:

If any of these 0's or 1's is different than above, you may not sync.
The MFE Client writes the following line to admin log when there is a policy that can’t be enforced: Warning: Some unsupported server policies were found -- syncing may fail.

Nokia C7 - Hotmail Not Working after Anna Update

Ever since I received the Anna Update last week, my Hotmail stopped syncing. I deleted the mailbox to try to re-add it, but since then I've only received the error "Service Temporarily unavailable. Try again later."
Please Help.

Ovi store not working after Anna update on N8

Hi,
I have successfully updated my N8 firmware to Anna including all s/w updates (mandatory as well as optional) and all the updates were successful.
However, now when I try to launch Ovi store, I just see the launch screen and the app closes automatically. I have tried hard reset, manual installation of ovi store but nothing worked for me.
Did anyone face a similar problem? Any ideas to fix this problem will be highly appreciated.

This solution worked for me:
>3-Button Hard Reset
NOTE:
*You will lose all data such as messages, contacts, notes, photos & videos etc., so please make a backup before you do this.
*All preinstalled applications will be removed, but after the update process you will have Quickoffice, Adobe Reader, Ovi Store, Ovi Maps, Ovi Music, Internet Radio, Shazam, Microsoft Communicator and a few others.
*You MUST have at least 75% battery.
>SW Update:
1. Symbian Anna 1/2
2. Symbian Anna 2/2
3. Ovi Store
4. NFC with free game
5. Social
(restart after every install)
Mine works perfect now, Anna icons and everything (C7-00, 059B7W4).
NOTE:
*When restoring data do not restore applications & settings as this may cause the problem to re-occur.

Symtorrent not working after Anna update

Symtorrent (1.5) used to work before the update.
Now it opens got about a minute them closes.

Hello Ajay,
I installed the .sis. It install only after I uninstalled the old version.
Same behaviour though - it opens, and if I add a torrent - it waits for a bit and just closes.
When I choose 'add torrent' - it only sees the C drive - not the the E drive (mass memory)
So uninstall reinstall of the zip - opens and closes - fail
Uninstall reinstall of the .sis - opens and closes - fail.
Install over itself with .sis - give an error - application will not work with this phone, and install error.
Before Anna - it worked great on my N8.
Are there any other Symbian^3 torrent clients? Is yours working fine after the Anna update?

C7 Wifi not working after Anna update

Hello friends,
I have a Nokia C7. Although some minor issues were their, my phone had been working fine since I bought it. However, last month I got the Latest Symbian Anna update on my phone. After that, my phone's wifi has stopped working completely. It does not even detect any wlan connections that are available.
Also, there are problems with the phone's music player which keeps hanging after short instances.
I have reinstalled the os once but that did not help at all.
I would surely be very glad if someone could help me solve my phone's wifi problem.

Reset the C7. Dial *#7370# reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings.

Applications not working after Anna update

Hi all,
I have just updated my N8 with the Anna update and the applications 'Lyrics' & 'GPS Info Qt' won't start up. Has anybody else had the same problem or can suggest a possible fix?

Maybe these apps are not compatible with Anna. Try uninstalling those and install afresh. May solve your problem.

ovi store is still not working, showing the same loading screen forever.

N8 bluetooth car kit not working after ANNA update

I have a big problem after updating my N8 to Anna, it stopped working with my factory-mounted bluetooth kit in my Opel Astra H (2007). It seems car no longer can find my N8 while searching bluettoth devices. My N8 can find and pair the car (car bluetooth is called UHP), but after trying to connect, it connects for 2-3 second and then disconnects saying "connection lost" on my N8 (or something like that).
Before ANNA it was working ok.

Browser not working after Anna update

I updated my N8 software to Anna yesterday and the phone seemed fine for a while but later in the day the browser stopped working and therefore all apps which use the browser. I get no errors, just when I click the icon the screen flickers slightly (as if it was starting the browser) and then nothing else happens and i am returned to the previous screen/menu. I've rebooted many times including holding the power button down to simulate a battery removal as well as trying to relaod the system software. Anyone have any ideas?

I never fixed this but instead did a full backup and reformatted my phone. Discovered that when restoring it, the browser would always stop working again if i included apps and settings in the restore!! So I guess there was an app or setting on my old phone that was breaking it. Restored without apps and settings and re-loaded apps and settings manually, now working ok ... for the time being!?

When it was working i had problem about imaging facebook photos. The photos that i click on were so blurry that i could not see it clearly. I had hope to see a fix about that problem but it was same until it stopped working. What is the problem that i cant see my and friend's photos clearly?
