E7 Touch screen gets stuck

E7 would need a mechanical call disconnection button (could be programmed e.g. for on/off-button??), as the touch screen every now and then gets stuck and you're not able for example to end the call. Especially when you don't want to leave a message to a voice mail and the phone just keeps on going there's gonna be several f-words in the voice mail.......
This is really irritating!

After installing the newer phoneware from version 013.XXX to version 014.002 there is an not understandable phone reaction to end the call.
Pressing on screen end call vibrates, but still shows on screen. Why - pressing few times activates some screen apps that appear after really ending a call. And it acts faster than auto key lock locks the screen and finishes to show "end call" button...
Nokia 1611, 2210, 3110, 5110, 6210, 6310, 6310i (up to these models totally satisfied)
Then don't remember model, then E50 (mostly happy), then N97 mini - phone with briliant keyboard, but poor touchscreen, then business phone E07, phone that can not make a photo of contract, invoice or business card. poor design of usb port and 5 months at service did it - my nowadays phone is Apple. Company gave me Asha 300, so frustrating, that I use my old E50 instead...

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Worked fine last night. It's running Snow Leopard.

Does your iMac fail to boot every time or only some of the time? Here are some things to try:
- Boot into "safe mode", which will run the equivalent of Disk Utility's "repair disk" operation.
- Boot from the system install disc that came with that Mac with the "D" key held down to run the diagnostics. Run them several times to see if any hardware problems are reported.
- If you can't identify the problem or fix it any other way, download and install the OS X 10.6.7 "combo" updater.
- If that still doesn't help, try reinstalling OS X 10.6 over the top of what's on the disk.

The screen get stucked.

The screen of my Ipod nano get stucked by a song.
And now you only see that song
And when i connect the i-pod to the computer, you dont see the ipod at iTunes.
If you push a button it wont help.

Try Resetting your iPod. Toggle the hold switch off and on a few times then hold down the MENU and SELECT (centre) buttons for five or ten seconds until you see the Apple logo appear then the menu button to go to the normal display: iPod isn't responding it appears to be frozen

I can't log onto facetime on my mac. My apple ID and password is correct and it is working on my ipad/iphone. My facetime preferences is grayed out and I keep having to turn facetime on. My screen gets stuck on signing in or verifying.

I have used facetime on my mac recently and have not had this problem until today. Facetime seems to have logged out on all of my devices but after putting my password in on my iphone/ipad it is back to normal however my Macbook will not allow me to log in. I also noticed that facetime preferences is grayed and I keep trying to turn facetime on and that is graying out as well. I put in my email and password and I get stuck on "signing in". Or I get past that and I verify my email and password and I get stuck on "verifying" only to get booted back to the sign in page. My OS is up to date, my wifi is on and working and I have no firewall on my home network. I cannot figure out how to fix this. I have tried some previous message troubleshooting such as updating the DNS entry to add 8.8.8.8 and that did not work. I have tried to toggle facetime on and restart but that did not work. I can't delete and reinstall facetime as it is connected to the OS and will not allow you to do that.

I have the same problem. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting link you added has the first step listed as "Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences" which we (the original poster and I) can't do as our Preferences are greyed out. We can't click on them to verify anything.
In FaceTime itself it's verified my apple id (also double checked via the site) and then it says the email is "verified" but then it freezes and after a minute or so it says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
After checking the network connection, it still doesn't work. It's rather frustrating as it all worked fine until about a week or two ago.
Any help would be appreciated.

If the Home button is broken, best thing to do is take it in for repair, or get an estimate. Make a Genius appointment.

Hi! I recently updated itunes to the new software. When i bought a book in itunes, I tries to sync it into my iPod touch ( 3rd gen.), a message pops up and says itunes could't collect data class information from sync services. It also won't go pass the backing up stage. I have tried changing the cord, restarting the sync and itunes, but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes, Sync and see if it is working now.

Gyroscope games and touch screen get really buggy when plugged in

So I play a lot of Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus online. Since this is a detailed 3D game, it uses loads of power. Like I can play for a good 45 minutes or so until my battery dies. Because of this, I need to keep my touch plugged in when I'm playing. The only problem is that when I plug it in and start playing the game, the gyroscope/touch controls go CRAZY. Like the whole screen shakes, it will randomly throw grenades, shoot, or just randomly have me spin in circles. Because of this, playing the game while plugged in is impossible. Does anyone know whats wrong? Is is a defective gyroscope or a bug or something? Also, I'm using a wall charger (non-apple brand) if that makes a difference. It wasn't doing this about a week ago and now its driving me crazy

Sounds like something may not be grounded right using that charger. I would try an Apple-brand charger.

IPhone Screen Gets stuck in Phone Application. Any ideas?

I've restored my phone and still running into this problem. When I am in certain applications such as text, calender, email etc.. I will press down the home button and it won't return to the home screen. After pressing the home button again, but it will jump to the phone screen instead. It's as if it thought it was at the home screen originally except at this point I can press the home screen over and over and it will not leave the phone screen. The only way to return the phone to normal is to do a soft reset. This is happening about 2 to 3 times a day. Is anyone having this issue and if so is it software related or is this something I need to go get checked out by the genius?

This is happening to me too. It started a few days ago, I think after I installed a bunch of apps... but I dont remember which ones exactly.
The first time it happened, I plugged it into the computer and did a software restore.
The second time, I googled and found that I could hold the home/menu button AND the power for 10 seconds or so and it did a reboot.
When it has happened, pressing the home/menu button does not do anything. The power on/off does not do turn the screen off. And holding the power on/off does not power it down. Also, holding the home/menu for 5 or 10 seconds does not kill the app.
Should we list the apps we have installed and see if there is one that is the same that might be causing the problem?

i connected my ipod touch to my laptop windows xp and ipod was on normally and then it opened itunes like usual, but then the ipod touch iteself turned black! then itunes said it was stuck in recovery mode. so i clicked to restore it, and its in the process of restoring, then it stopped, window popped up saying error 6! my ipod touch wont turn on at all, restoring doesnt finish, help!!!

Ideapad S415 Touch: Screen Brightness Stuck!!

Two days ago, my laptop suddenly got stuck on the lowest brightness setting. I did some research and found that I was supposed to update the driver, so I did and now the brightness is stuck on the HIGHEST brightness setting! When I try to adjust it, the little meter will move up and down just one level, from the second lowest to the lowest. Help!

I downloaded IOS6 and keyboard crash as the touch screen get crazy.

I have downloaded IOS6 and my keyboard start to add different caracters. Screen also stop to answers as I touch. The all IPAD stop to work as before.
Someone can assit me on correct those problem. Is it possible to reload IOS5 again?

Try a reset:
1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
2. For about 10 seconds
3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)

Have you tried connect the computer and restore the iPod via iTunes? First from backup and if problem persists restore to factory defaults. Also see:

X6 display gets stuck / frozen

I' ve faced this problem lately where X6 device touch display gets stuck, and no touch input is possible. Usually this happens when the phone has been idle or in the pocket for a while, i'd say once in 2 days. Physical keys still seem to be working. I need to disconnect the battery to get the display working again. Timewise this started happening after last firmware update.(V 30.0.003) (Not sure about first incident, cannot remember.) Anyone else suffering with the same problem.
Should i take my device to Nokia maintenance?
