E70 - conecting with WLAN for voip/internet calls

Hello,
I have nokia e70 and i'm trying to connect to sip proxy server but i can't
The reason is that i cannot connect to WLAN by making voip/internet call.
I can connect to WLAN when I run browser or getting emails.
Is there way to connect my phone to WLAN without running browser or email client, and make e70 used this connection for voip calls ?
maybe this is a bug, my software version is :
1.0610.05.07
30-05-06
RM-10
Did someone successfully get voip calls with WLAN on this software version ?
Please HELP !
Best Regards
Slawomir Swider

First make sure your 'Default access point' is configured under your SIP profile. Second, make sure your Intenet Tel. Profile is assigned to using your SIP profile.
You can manually register your SIP service by going to 'Menu -> Connectivity -> Internet Tel. -> Registration Status' and change its status. It will connect to your WLAN automatically and register. It can take a whole minute depending on your connection, so be patient.
You don't need to manually register when just making calls; punch in the desired number then 'Option -> Call -> Internet Call.' It'll prompt you to 'Register now' if you haven't.

  • Nokia C7 VOIP Internet Call

hi. ive set up voip profile in menu-connectivity-admin settings. I'm looking now for the "Internet Call" applicaton to register the profile and to use it for voip calls, but i can't find it nowhere!!
i've read symbian^3 have built-in voip support, but i can't use it. Can you help me? In my old nokia E70 under applications i have "Internet Call" icon to start voip profiles but i can't find it in my c7...

If your voip is set up correctly, you should see both "voice call" and "internet call" as options in your contact directory. There is not separate "internet call" application. Internet calling is integrated to the contact directory.
You can sign in and out of your voip accounts using the menu bar at the top when you are in contact directory (home page/call/contacts).
Make sure you install this first:

  • I recently upgraded my internet service with Comcast for faster internet.  When I user ethernet connection I get 50 MB download speed....when I use the wireless connection I get 10-20 MB speed.  I have an airport extreme...3-4 years old.  Why?

I recently upgraded my internet service with Comcast for faster internet.  When I use an ethernet connection I get 50 MB download speed....when I use the wireless connection I get 10-20 MB speed.  I have an airport extreme...3-4 years old.  Why is the speed so different and are there settings I can change to increase the wireless speed?

If your supposed to be getting 20 Mb/s down via your ISP and both Mac's are not getting that on the SpeedTest, then obviously your router appears to be the cause.
Connect one Mac directly to the ISP's modem, power off/wait 30 seconds/then power on, then power on the Mac. The ISP will connect directly to the Mac, then run a SpeedTest.
Then repeat the same for the other Mac. If both Mac's have a problem then it's possibly the ISP, the modem, your lines to them or on your property, or both Mac's are messed up.
You'll have to keep searching for the cause. Call your ISP and ask then to run a test to see if your getting your 20 Mb/s to your modem, that should clear part of the problem.

  • Port forwarding with E2000 for a game called Minecraft.

Okay, I've been wanting to port forward this game called Minecraft for quite awhile now, but never got around to it, but now that I've wanted to let my friends that can't play with hamachi play with me. I wanted to port forward it so that they go into the game without using hamachi, or any other networking program. If anyone knows how to acomplish this with a guide for this then it would be nice, or just simply write out instructions. I've already tried once and whenever I ran my server, I would say "FAILED TO BIND TO PORT" or just ask me this "Is another _____ running on that port?" Thanks for helping guys,

Yea it looked okay. Go to cmd, then type in ipconfig. Look for your ipv4 address. Now make sure that address is the same as the one that you set up port forwarding for in your router.
Make sure you have reserved that ip by going to 192.168.1.1--->Basic Setup--->DHCP Reservation---> (your PC). Now restart your PC. The important thing is to make sure that your local ip matches everything (Port forward, server.properties, and the DHCP Reservation Table)
Now go to the .bat files that you downloaded for the minecraft server. You should see a file called "server.properties". Go into it and make sure that the server ip matches your local ip (192.168.1.4 for example). If not, change it. Here's a reference video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MJVNxPtmtM

You could use a "streaming server" and free Apple software that would play your file using RTSP instead of HTTP. These files are not cached (saved) on the viewing machine.
If someone wants to keep your file they'll find a way to save it. Let them download but keep them from editing your file. As easy as drag and drop using AppleScript.

That thing that just happended whith my iphone and now i can not do anything whith my iphone it just turned off

Yes, you got the phone which was currently eligible for Early Edge at the time. This changes from time to time. When the iPhone 6/6+ was first released those were the ONLY phones you could purchase on Early Edge. This was for September and October of 2014. You would not have been able to purchase any other phone with Early Edge at the time. At the time, this made a lot of android phone owners angry, just as it is making the OP(an iPhone owner) angry now. Then it was the Droid Turbo ONLY, then it was....
One of the requisites AS LISTED ON THE EDGE PAGE is that your line must be eligible for an upgrade. Verizon lifts this requirement IF you want to purchase a specific phone. If the phone you want is not eligible for Early Edge at this moment, it may be at some point in the future and the phone CURRENTLY available may NOT be available for Early Edge. You were able to get the phone you wanted on Early Edge because it was the phone(or one of the phones) eligible at the time for Early Edge.
Verizon does not have a link for Early Edge because it is not always available AND the eligible phones change from time to time. This is no different than any other special they occasionally run.
Regardless, since a link WAS given for Edge which DOES list upgrade eligibility as being a requirement, if someone DOES NOT fulfill that requirement it is not out of the question that other portions of Edge may be different, too, such as what you posted "All Verizon Wireless smartphones, tablets and basic phones are eligible for Verizon Edge." If Verizon relaxes a requirement to enter into Edge, why is it so hard to fathom they may ALSO change something else such as which phones are eligible???
The fact that the OP IS NOT able to purchase an iPhone on Early Edge simply reinforces this fact.

  • Snow and setting priority for voip voice packets?

I have an engine Voice Box 2 connected to my dual ethernet base station, for voip phone calls using a 1500kbps broadband connection. It all works fine, except sometimes the voice quality of phone calls isn't good - drop-outs occur. Engin support tells me there is a way to configure an airport BS to give priority to voice packet data over other internet data data, and this will improve the voice quality.
Is this possible with a snow BS, and if so how do I do it?

OK, Duane and anyone else. My question has been answered via telephone from Apple Australia, on Thursday 22 Feb 2007 at local time 9.01 pm. The answer is: There is no way that any version of an Airport BS can be set to prioritize voip voice packets over other internet packets of data.
Apple Supporters in other countries may disagree (not a surprise). I've been a Mac user since the first 1984 64K Mac, and I've not been too impressed with Apple phone service during the last 20+ years, so if another Apple tech elsewhere comes up with a different answer I would not be at all surprised.
So, first premise is my voip provider gave me incorrect info. Second one is maybe someone else gave them the incorrect info. One guess and no prizes as to whom this may have been.
Bigger surprise is that Apple seems oblivious to how popular voip phone is going to be in the immediate future, and that Mac users are likely to receive inferior quality voice quality and have no way to improve this by tweaking their Airports.

  • Can I synchronise with the Nokia N80 Internet Edition?

Is it possible to synchronise Address Book (including photos) and iCal with the Nokia N80 Internet Edition?
I getting one so I can use it with Truphone for VoIP (which I wouldn't be doing if Apple's iPhone did VoIP!!).

I got it to sync once but now I get a system error on the N80ie with no further clues. I have tried every combination on two different systems with the same result.

  • Need Support for Palm Pre Call Waiting

I've had my palm pre for a month about now and notice a number of issues with its call waiting feature that need to be addressed.  Here is the list:
    1) I can't drop 1 call without dropping the other call: this means that if I'm on the phone with person "A" and receive a call from person "B", though I can switch between the two easily enough, I can't end the call between person "A" to talk to person "B".  What's even worse, even if person "A" hangs up, the pre still keeps the call connected until I hang up my phone.  This is a serious issue when you're calling outside of any promotional time, nights, or weekends.
    2) in a conference call, I can't end one conversation without ending both conversation.  So again, if I have both person "A" and person "B" on a call and I connect them through a conference call on my pre, I can't end the conversation with one without ending it with the other.  A real pain in the butt.
I just want to know two things asap since I know this is something that'll take time to resolve (if it can be resolved)
    1) is this a hardware issue or a operating system issue?
    2) does conference calling really kill my minutes the way it look like it does?  I'm leaning toward yes from evidence I have, but I'd like to hear it from the pre reps.
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

    1.  This functionality sometimes works and sometimes it does not.  But can you answer the other part of the post.  The PALM pre give the user no one to drop the other call.  Mine is worse.  If the other user hangs up CONFERENCE is still there; If they hang up I'm not in a CONFERENCE but the PRE does not recognize this state at all.  Therefore you can't add another person to the call again.
    2.  This one does not affect me as much since I have the simply everything plan.  But I would def. pay attentiont my bill and complain to SPRINT every time this occurs.
    3.  HAS ANYONE OPENED A TICKET WITH PALM FOR THE CONFERENCE CALL / CALL WAITING ISSUE?

  • Internet (voip/SIP) calls on N97

    Hi,
I was using Internet calls feature on N95. On N97 the only thing what I was able to do is to define SIP profile. It is defined. I am able to register to the SIP server ... but no way to use this server for Internet Calls. I simply do not have possibility to select Internet call. I may select Voice or Video but not Internet as it was on N95. Any ideas?
    regards,

If you read the documentation that has been revised recently (yeah that is sneaky) you see alot of mentions of 'you may' or 'there might be' and somthing about a widget you might find that does not exist.  Basically if Nokia wants to enable this with SIP Voip Settings App (like they had for 3.x and 2.x) they could do so quite easily.
See the attached for a screen snap of the new documentation.
The question is are they going to do this, or am I moving on to another company that is semi rational and has better communication skills than a 1 year old.  I've been patient and silent since the day I unpacked this phone, but today I have lost patience with waiting for something i know they can enable in 2 minutes.
I love my purple screen, 1/2 day battery, sketchy touch screen and $800 price tag - I call it my Lumia 900

I'm going to guess videos buffer for a while also...
Two possibilities, one is you should close apps on the iPad, the other is your internet speed is not able to handle the demands of a high speed device.
To close apps:   Double click home button, swipe up to close the apps.
To solve internet problem, contact your provider.   Basic internet is not enough for video games and movies.   Your router may be old and slow.

  • Using the Express as Bridge with an SMC Gateway device for VOIP Possible?

    Hi there:
I want to purchase a VOIP Internet phone & line and am concerned that it may not work with my Airport Express. I can use any old phone as long as it is hooked up to the VOIP gateway device which must be connected directly to my High Speed DSL modem. I am currently using the Express and am connected using PPoE. What I need to do is connect the VOIP Gateway directly to my high speed modem and then connect the Express to one of the Gateway's LAN ports.
Here is what I was told, I need the express to be compatible with:
An SMC Gateway device for VOIP
    The Default Network Setup: 192.168.1.1
    Sub Net Mask: 255.255.255.0
    DHCP enabled
    IP Range 192.168.1.100~199
The wireless router must be set to bridge configuration.
What I am thinking is in my Airport Admin Utility go to the Internet Section and change my current PPoE settings to:
    Connect Using: Ethernet
    Configure: Manually
And then enter the IP Address, Subnet mask as per the instructions
I am not sure about the router address or DNS servers.
Or could l just set Configure to: Using DHCP and it would find the SMC Gateway device since I would be plugged into it's LAN port?
I have not comitted to changing companies yet so I do not have the gateway device and cannot test this out. Please advise if this will work or not.
Is the Express even compatible with an SMC Gateway?
    Thanks so much
    W

...in the Internet section would I leave it as is (currently set to Connect Using PPP over Ethernet (PPoE) or would I need to chane that to Connect Using Ethernet and then Configure to Using DHCP or Manual?
It doesn't really matter since the AX is acting as bridge. If for some reason setting it one way doesn't work, change it to the other setting.

There are plenty of them around such as Fring, Gizmo etc etc etc.
However, my favourite at the moment is Fring because it allows me to call my friends on Skype, Msn, Yahoo etc etc for free, while also allowing me to call mobiles and landlines at a nominal cost using my Skypeout account.
    You can download Fring from
