  • E71 and mail exchange in Dubai

Has anyone successfully connected the E71 via exhange, I have had two IT guys try for several hours to no avail.
Is there a specific problem with Etisalat service.

I downloaded MFE for My nokia E71, and as i am using Microsoft Exchangelabs.com as my exchange server. unfortunately MFE is not working, i mailed a couple of MS technical support and the final remark was
(the implementation of the Exchange ActiveSync is not compatible with Exchange Labs. For example, E71 may not support wild card certificate (*.exchangelabs.com) Exchange Labs uses for ActiveSync.)
I installed Roadsync to check on the exchangelabs.com service, It works smothly. However I would prefer to Use MFE. Could any one help me on this issue.

  • Problem Outlook Autodiscovery and "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP"

    Hi,
I have huge problem with Outlook Autodiscovery  and RPC over HTTP. In my organization i have Exchange 2010. After server restart something happen with autodiscovery. When client connect to Exchange everything works fine, but.. When client close Outlook
(2010/13) and open again, can connect only using LAN (mapi). When i check settings "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" is unchecked!! And all rpc settings (url, msstd:..) are gone!!! It drive me crazy :( When I change settings of course i
can connect thru rpc but only until autodiscovery change settings again :(
    Please help
    Regards
    michadar
ps. I tried disable Outlook Anywhere end enable, restart IIS, restart Exchange. I also try on one computer to disable autodiscovery using regedit but what struck me it still happens :(

Did you try resetting virtual directory? You might have to do this for all CAS servers.  Also, take a note of autodiscover vd settings, just to be on the safe side.
Here is the article I found on how to reset the virtual directory.

    I hope this helps.

  • Move Internet facing site and remove Exchange site

    Background:
I am running Exchange 2010 in native mode
I have multiple AD sites connected via WAN
I have two sites each with an Exchange CAS, HT, Mailbox server and internet connections
I have one Edge server in the DMZ at the internet facing site A
All mail currently flows in/out through site A via connectors
OWA is currently hosted on the CAS/HT server at site A
I have installed a new Edge server in the DMZ of site B and cloned the configuration.
I am planning the move of the internet facing site to the new site where the other Exchange CAS/HT server resides.
Once the mail flow is occurring correctly in/out site B, I need to move all mailboxes to site B and shut down the Exchange server at site A.
    Questions:
When I create the Edge Subscription at the new site, it offers to create a new send connector.  The CAS/HT server at site B already has a send connector to site A.  Will the new send connector cause mail flow problems if it is pointing to
the new Edge server that is not yet updated on public DNS?  I am trying to do this in stages and I am not ready to change mail flow to site B internet.
What needs to happen to move OWA to the Exchange server at site B?
Once site B is handling OWA, all mail flow, and all mailboxes have been moved to that site, can I simply shut down the site A Exchange server?
Thanks for any input on how best to plan this move.  If there is any documentation for this specific scenario, I work well from instructions but have not seen anything on the internet.

    1.  Sending can happen from both sites, regardless of where your MX records point.  In fact, you don't need an MX record to send email - just to receive.  So the new send connector in Site B won't cause issues with mail flow - messages will
go out B and come in A until you rehome your MX record.
    2.  In order to move OWA to Site B, your external records for your OWA site need to point to the external IP address that will connect to the Site B CAS (and hopefully, you have it behind a firewall of some sort).
    3.  Not quite - you need to move your OAB generation to the new site, and make sure that all CAS virtual directories in the new site are configured to handle the connections that currently go to Site A.  See the following for what you need to do
to decommission your Site A Exchange servers - but where it says "Exchange 2013", think "Site A Exchange servers":

  • MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH IPHONE 3G AND MICROSOFT EXCHANGE!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!

    Ok,
My exchange server at work was synced to my iphone and has worked with no issues. I then exchanged my phone because there were issues with my bluetooth not syncing properly. So with this new phone, it prompts me to enter in my exchange server password every few days. I contacted my IT department as well and microsoft to get this issue resolved because I assume that there were issues with the exchange server. They were both able to see an event viewer and it showed that my iphone was attempting to log in numerous amounts of times, which locks out my account after 3 incorrect log ins. Even when I erased the exchange account from my phone, it still showed that the phone in the event viewer was trying to log in over and over again. I then did a master clear and restore and the process was removed in the event viewer. So then I called my IT department to unlock my account after I cleared everything. I was able to sync everything again with it working properly. Now its a day later and the my exchanger server prompts me to enter in the password AGAIN and my exchange account is locked AGAIN because the event viewer at work is showing the same issues. Is my Iphone not saving the password correctly? What do I do? My IT department even created a dummy account to see if a new account would fix the issues but yet no cigar! HELP!!

The iPhone you returned is still syncing against your server and locking out your account. Someone possibly has access to your mail data. I'd recommend having your Exchange Administrator install the Microsoft Exchange Server ActiveSync Web Administration Tool (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E6851D23-D145-4DBF-A2CC -E0B4C6301453&displaylang=en) and attempt to wipe/delete/block that other iPhone.

  • Completely avoid passing of Oracle user informations thru http

    Hi friends,
I am using Oracle 10g Application Server & Oracle 10g Forms & Report services. But I have to pass all the parameters thru a query String. So the problem is all the endusers can view the Database details by taking the properties.
#) I want to set the Database Logon information some where in any confiruration file and this should read when calling forms. so that i can avoid passing of Database user informations. Is there any way to configure like this?
#) Multiple applications are running on Oracle AS and each applications are using defferent schema. How can I set the different User Informations in the configuration file.
I want to completely avoid passing of Oracle user informations thru http.
    thanks & regards
    Lakmal

    Hello Lakmal,
As I said, you can edit formsweb.cfg and a user parameter section. For example, lets take yur sample url:
    add this section to formsweb.cfg:
    [change]
    userid=lakmal/mabil@ewis
    form=change.fmx
    note:
it is better to make the edit at EM console itself.
Then when you will run the form use this url:
    http://dunhinda.com/forms90/f90servlet?config=change
The url has been shortened and your username and password is hidden.
and if your user would run diffeent forms, you can drop the form=change.fmx and speficify form name in the url like
    section in formsweb.cfg
    [lakmal]
    userid=lakmal/mabil@ewis
then the url will now be:
    http://dunhinda.com/forms90/f90servlet?config=change&form=formname.fmx

  • How can i split Client Network traffic and My exchange traffic with two differnet ip address?

    Hello Everyone
sorry for my bad English and also my bad explaine
here is my network looks like
all the client on one subnet and network is 192.168.0.0
i have Dsl router that connect to Tmg server
i have Tmg with two NIC
    1-192.168.0.4
    2- 2 Public Ip address
    i want to do this
i want to split user's traffic and my exchange traffic
i mean i want to route user's traffic with one public ip addresss
and my exchange server's traffic with another public address
but when i add additional ip address at Tmg or create new NIC card
all of my traffic route with one public ip Address what should i do?

    Hi Uhan,
You need to use ENAT fuction on TMG to achive this
On the External NIC assing the Second IP as Additionl IP address (VIP)
Create a network Rule to NAT traffice From Exchange server IP address to the required Public IP which you need the E NAT.
Ensure you are creating rule only from Exchange server IP and not all INternal.
Look at the below Doc you step by step config
    http://www.isaserver.org/articles-tutorials/configuration-general/Configuring-One-to-One-NAT-TMG-2010.html

  • JNDI and MS Exchange Server 5.5

I was having a bit of grief getting JNDI to talk to the MS Exchange Server for even the most simple things. For example, I could not get the members of a group. As it turns out, Exchange allows the administrator to configure which attributes are visible via LDAP to unauthenticated users.
The member attribute was turned off by default so my code couldn't see it. This is fixed either by using an authenticated connection (which I didn't try) or by setting the attribute to be visible to unauthenticated users. This worked for me. Look at Configuration->DS Site Configuration->Attributes in the Exchange admin tool.
My next problem wasn't as obvious. I wanted to query the value of the "Primary NT Account" associated with a given user. By searching around I found that this field is named "Assoc-NT-Account" when speaking LDAP. Unfortunately, it is not listed in the fields that can be made visible via LDAP as described above. Some more searching yielded this arcane procedure. Use with caution:
    1. Run the Exchange admin tool in raw mode:
    e.g. c:\exchsrvr\bin\admin.exe /r
    2. Select the "View->Raw Dirctory" menu item.
This will make a new folder appear named Schema.
    3. Click on the Schema folder to get a list of attributes.
Scroll to "Primary Windows NT Account" and double
click. Click yes to display raw properties.
    4. Choose Heuristics from the "Object Attributes" list.
Change the value from 12 to 14. This turns on bit 1.
    The bits are (roughly):
    Bit 0: Replicate between sites
Bit 1: Attribute visibility through LDAP
Bit 2: Attribute accessibity by authenticated clients
Bit 3: Attribute is an operational attribute
    5. Click OK. Now you can retrieve the value of
    Assoc-NT-Account.
The last trick is that return value is not in the domain\user form that it is displayed in the Exchange admin tool. Instead it is the NT SID (Security ID) for the user. However, instead of being the normal textual representation of a SID, it is a string representation of the bytes in the raw SID structure. So, to get the standard representation one must convert this string of hexadecimal digits into an array of bytes and interpret it as defined by Microsoft.
If you want the domain and username, you probably need to pass the SID to an NT Domain Controller.

I'm not totally sure about the last part of your message. I thought you were right until I had a look at what a 'real' SID looks like using Evgenii Rudnyi's utilities: user2sid and sid2user, found at http://www.chem.msu.su/~rudnyi/NT/sid.txt
    the Assoc-NT-Account I get is:
    010500000000000515000000EA35F753FC3DF4122647A33E78140000
and the sid I get using the utility for the exact same "DOMAIN\username" value:
    S-1-5-21-1408710122-317996540-1050887974-5240
    Those two look slightly different.
    I read http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnactdir/html/msdn_adsiexch.asp
and they say Assoc-NT-Account's syntax is a "String(Octet)"
Can anybody help converting this "String(Octet)" to a 'readable' String?
    Thanks,
    --Benjamin.

  • IDOC - PI - PI thru HTTP

    Hi
    i having  scenario saying that  ...  IDOC  ---  PI ( MY PI server ) --- PI  ( 3rd Party  ) thru HTTP Connections ..
i have  created a IDOC in R/3 , i pushed to my PI server
Now , what i need is i want to Push my XML document which is in MY PI server has to Pushed to some other 3rd party PI server thru HTTP connection
How to Do that .. i have to generate a HTTP Link , that has to pass to 3rd party Pi server . How to do that

    Hi,
If you want to generate the URL, then you have to ask the third Party SAP PI team to provide the integration engine path of their server.
They can easily find it in the SXMB_ADM transaction --> Configuration of Integration Engine.
I hope you have the IP address and port no of their server.
Once all the above information is there then you can create the URL using below syntax:
    http://<hostname:port>/<path>
Refer the below link for more details:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
In your PI system, the scenario is just pass through.
As it is Idoc coming in, sender channel is not required & hence no sender agreement.
Create the business system for the third party PI server, create HTTP receiver communication channel.
I don't think so IR configuration is required for this scenarion, just import the idoc into IR.
In ID, while creating Interface determination, give the inbound interface name as same Idoc only.
    No interface mapping is required.
Once the Idoc will reach from R/3 to your PI server, it will directly go to the third party Pi server.
I hope it solved your problem, let me know if not.
    -Supriya.

  • E71 and Color Correction

I have noticed even with the new updated version firmware that when using the camera it still has a blue or purple tint and lacks sharpness.I preceded to http://mosh.nokia.com/content/4F546B0D59DD282DE040050A45300EA2 and D/l this file and installed on the E71.
I took two pictures using the normal camera on the E71 and the conditions were set that both images not use flash. The first image was taken in the living room by the door leading to the deck and the other image was taken in a room just using the overhead fixture.
I then preceded to using the installed program and went to camera-color correction and color corrected blue by adding yellow and increased the contrast slightly. I will add another post so that you might see Roomlight 1.jpg
You decide if its better or worse and i also noticed and using the installed program that the file size just about doubled.

  • E71 and Handling of realplayer .SMIL file extensio...

Trying to use my Nokia E71 to listen to content on Ireland's Radio stations at :
    http://www.rte.ie/radio/
There is an option there to listen to the content in Realplayer (as Windows Media isn't supported on E71 or other Nokia devices that I know of).
If you chose one of the stations, it will redirect to a link such as this:
    http://www.rte.ie/radio/liveplayer2_av.html?1_real,http://dynamic.rte.ie/av/live/radio/radio1.smil,r...
It won't play because it wants an IE plugin of some sort (Flash or Quicktime) on my PC. There is an option there to "Play In StandAlone Player" and when I chose that with my PC, the web site hands out a file with an extension of .SMIL (realplayer file of some sort).
I can go to the same link on my E71 browser and If I save that .SMIL file to my E71 and then open that file using the built in File Manager it shows me the content of the .SMIL file and one of the URLs in there is:
    src="rtsp://live2.rte.ie/redundant/lyrical.ra"
and that is automatically highlighted (like the File Manager knows it is a URL). When I click on and launch that URL, it launches RealPlayer and the stream plays just fine. It seems that E71 Web Browser and/or the Operating System just needs a little code added to it to properly handle .SMIL file extensions. Is this something that can be fixed by Nokia to help me and others?
    Thank you for your time.
    Jeff

Thank you for confirming that other Nokias have the same problem. Again, when you open the .SMIL file, the internal contents of the file are correct, but only a part. Nokia would have to look at the .SMIL formatted file and extrac the necessary information to pass to the Operating System to launch the Real Player. Can't imagine that it would be difficult to do, but apparently they haven't seen fit to do so. Kind of like they haven't done a number of other things (in all fairness, they have done some decent things, but just not enough to have kept up with others).
Oh well, I guess I can just hang on to the E71 until time to purchase something that starts with "And" and ends with "roid" !

  • My brand new E71 and my disappointments, please he...

    Hello,
I just purchased a brand new E71, the US version. I've been playing with it the past few days and I'm not very happy with it. I primarily bought the phone for e-mail/WEB, GPS & maps. However, I'm seeing the following issues:
1- My first and foremost problem is the GPS lock times. No matter where I am, downtown Boston with a lot of buildings, or suburban Massachusetts with no buildings around and clear view of the sky in all directions, E71 takes a long time (5+ minutes) to get the first position. I find this simply unacceptable. Are there any other e71 users out here? What are your experiences? Are there any settings that I need to change (positioning server, etc)? In the settings, currently all the GPS positioning methods are enabled, including AGPS. But even without AGPS, shouldn't I be getting a lock quickly if I don't have any obstructions in the sky (tall buildings, etc)? My experience with iPhone GPS has been so much better.
2- WLAN connections appear to be very slow during web surfing. Again my comparison is with an iPhone. I've tried connecting an iPhone and E71 to the same WLAN network and load up a few web pages. There was no comparison, the iPhone killed my E71 in all cases This was very disappointing. Is there a web page or an application that can help me measure my phones download/upload speed in my WLAN at home?
I have not been able to get past the above two issues during the past week and I'd appreciate help and advice. I had high hopes for this device (been a Nokia fan for 15+ years now), but I'll have to return this if I can't get past these issues.
    Sincerely

I have an E71-2, and I can tell you two things.
    1) The GPS in this device is very unstable.  In fact, mine never worked, but I bought this phone in US and I live in Venezuela, so try to send it to warranty exchange is a little expensive (and/or time-consuming).  I prefer to buy a $40 external GPS, has better reception than ANY internal GPS in any phone, and works in the E71 and in my laptop I know it's a matter of taste, some people prefer to have the GPS in-device, but I see that the integrated GPS in any phone is worse than any external GPS.  I compared mine with the external GPS against an E71 side-to-side, and the difference was: mine: 9-10 satellites locked, the E71 using internal GPS: 6.Precision in mine was 8 meters (CLEP at 90%) while internal GPS was 20-30 meters (Nokia doesn't inform about the CLEP)
    2) The WLAN issues could be solved via a firmware update.  I remember I had the 110 version and is not as stable as now (I'm still using the 210 version).  I tested against a BB Pearl and the difference is incredible... The BB is still connecting to RIM's server, while my E71 is already playing a video via Flash Lite 3.
Concluding: do a firmware update.  The GPS? Forget it... or buy a external inexpensive GPS, you will note the difference
