E71 and send/receiving faxes

Hello,
I like to send and receive faxes with my canon pixma mx850 using the e71 so without any pc and without internet and any landline. Is there a way to do that? What software do I need?
So the use cases are these:
sending
1. I put some documents in the sheetfeeder of the canon pixma mx850 allinone
2. The scanned documents is sent to the e71
3. The e71 is sending the faxes via gsm to another fax
4. The e71 detects confirmation and that all is received and status is ok
5. The canon pixma mx850 is creating a tx fax report with copy fax (the same as with landline faxing)
receiving
1. If someone sends a fax to my e71 it is stored on my e71 and a status ok is send back to sender
2. I can print the faxes when I connect to the canon pixma mx850
So the only thing that should be different is that gsm radiowaves are used instead of copper wires.
The thought behind this is that I can cancel my landline subscription at my provider. The only reason that I have a landline is for sending and receiving faxes.
Grtz,
Dave

As for performing the fax function then I'm not sure if service providers are starting to phase that function out.
I know it relies on a Fax type call in Circuit Switched Data, this function is now pretty much disabled by all service providers. I know O2 UK doesn't handle Circuit Switched Data anymore (at least for consumers)
Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software

I just upgraded my iPhone4s to iOS7 and now I am unable to make phone calls and send/receive text messaes. Network signal indicator on the upper left side of the display shows hollow circles instead of full circles (but with the network provider name). I checked with my colleagues in the office who use the same network and theirs work just fine on iOS7. Any idea how to fix the problem?

I have also called my service provider and my service remains active in the network. I tried removing and reinserting my SIM but to no avail.

  • How to make a PDF embedded image append a report and send via fax electronically from MS SSRS 2012?

How can I make a PDF embedded image append a SSRS 2012 report and send via fax all electronically?  Is this possible?
Thanks in advance for your time!

    Hello,
    1. The report item Image can be used to display the image which  embedded in the report, stored in a database, stored on the report server, or stored elsewhere on the Web.
For example, you can embedded the PDF image in the report and stored as text in the report definition.
2.Reporting Services includes an e-mail delivery extension and a file share delivery extension which you can send report to user or group through e-mail or send the report to a shared location on your network.
If you want to send the report to FAX, you may try to create a custom delivery extension depend on your faxing software.

  • Cannot send/receive fax reliably. ATA 187, CUCM 10.0, 2911

We have had ongoing issues with not being able to send/receive faxes reliably since we've installed this new phones system (previously we were on a Nortel system).
We are trying to fax using HP 4345 MFP, HP 3035 MPF, Richo MP 171.
Often faxes fail to send with a remote disconnect error or when we receive we only get about 1/2 of the page.
Where do I start looking first?  Is it the ATAs, CUCM, Voice Gateway or a combination?

  • Cannot send/receive Fax through Windows Fax and Scan

Having a problem with Windows Fax and Scan on Small Business Server 2011 Standard SP1.  When I call the fax number, I can see the line ringing in the Fax Status Monitor, but it errors out with "The incoming call cannot be answered as a fax
call".  I've also tried sending and receive an error: "No dial tone was detected"  I've connected a regular phone to the line and placed an outside call and received a call from an outside line.  No errors are logged in Event
Viewer, but If I check the Server Roles, Fax Server shows Event ID 32092, 32032 and 32031
Troubleshooting so far has consisted of:
    Restarting Fax service
Removing/Readding the Fax Account in Windows Fax and Scan
Checked Print Spooler and Fax queue for held documents to clear (none)
Uninstalled/reinstalled the fax modem in Device Manager
Run Windows Update(several security updates pending)
Checked the DeviceToMonitor key in HKCU to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fax\UserInfo matches the DeviceName key in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax (at one point it did not match)
Removing/Readding the Fax Role.  In the process, also removing registry keys: HKLM_SOFTWARE_MICROSOFT_FAX, HKCU_Software_Microsoft_Fax, HKLM_SOFTWARE_Microsoft_Windows_CurrentVersion_Telephony_CountryList, HKLM_SOFTWARE_Microsoft_Windows_CurrentVersion_Telephony_Locations.
At one point or another, I have already reviewed the following links:

    Hi billats,
Regarding to Event ID 32092, 32032 and 32031, please refer to the following articles.
Event ID 32092 — Received Fax Status
    Event
    ID: 32092 Source: Microsoft Fax
Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft
does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.
Event ID 32032 — Sent Fax Status
Event ID 32031 — Sent Fax Status
On current situation, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot. Then check if can find more clues
and help us to solve this issue.
Please verify if the incoming fax can be received from other fax machines.
For modem, please temporarily reduced the speed to 4800bps for the Fax software.
    Please increase the
Rings before answering value for the fax device to 2 rings in Shared Fax Service Manager.
Just for a test. Would you replace the old modem with a new one? Then monitor the result.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is there a free way to send/receive faxes with a Mac?

efax is not a reasonble option anymore as it does not allow for Mac viewing software, so is there another way to send and receive faxes on a Mac (preferably for free).

"Thank you, the problem with eFax is they have not kept up with Mac Development so the new OS' do not support the viewers that eFax puts out and you can't read their file format without that.  You can open online, but you can't do anything with the fax after opening it, can forward, can save, etc..."
True, you can't use eFax software, however, I have asked them to send me the fax in pdf form and that works out just fine.

  • 10.5.7 cannot send & receive faxes

Using the latest version of Leopard(10.5.7) it is not possible to set your mac to RECEIVE faxes and then SEND faxes.
So each time you want to send a fax you need to go into System Preferences, Print & Fax, choose "External Modem", click on "Receive Options", then untick "Receive Faxes" – then you can switch to the document you want to fax and print it.
Once the fax has fully completed, you have to go back and re-tick "Receive Faxes".
If you have Receive Faxes ticked in System Preferences when you are trying to send a fax, it causes the fax queue to hang and only a reboot can resolve the issue. Simply deleting the job from the queue does nothing.
We are using the official Apple USB Modem and latest software in a medical clinic, so the fax is very important to us.
Applecare has assured us the issue is being working on – who can tell when it will be resolved.
If you are considering a mac to use in your office and need it to work as a fax, do not assume it will function as advertised.

Thanks everyone for providing suggestions and feedback.
We have downloaded a trial copy of PageSender but have found that when faxing documents from Microsoft Word, it is extremely slow. Sometime 5 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes it simply never sends the fax at all and just sits in the queue.
PageSender support is aware of the problem and seem to think it might be font related with Leopard, but I am not comfortable deleting fonts that are installed on our computer.
FAXstf PRO also looks good, but as far as I can tell they do not offer a trial version of their software that works with Leopard. They do offer a trial, but only for Panther and Tiger.
Since both Apple's and PageSenders fax solution do not meet the minimum requirement of being able to send & receive a fax, we will not spend money on FAXstf PRO hoping it will work.
I have tried emailing SmithMicro to get an updated trial of their software and will let people know whether I am successful and it works as advertised.

  • Signing and send a fax

I got documents sent to me that I need to sign and send back,
I'm not sure how to do it.

    Hello Nancy Abdon,
Thanks for posting. Unfortunately there is no information in
your post to be able to help you.
    What program are you using?
What is it you are needing to do?
You could try printing it out, and then faxing the document,
    or another similar workflow..
Alternatively, this question could best be asked in the
    Acrobat Forums.

  • Fax error(Fax locked) no send and no receive faxes

"Fax out of use".Fax is"locked from the administrator or from whom has install the machine" .This message with a lock icon i can see on the screen. The fax was ok till the moment i was looking for updates through my laptop.Any suggestion?
    Thank you.

Hi @Pavlos1 , and welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you are having fax administrative options. I would like to assist.
I would recommend entering your printers IP address in an internet browser. This should open the Embedded Web Server. In the server, select Administrative Settings.  In there, you can unlock the fax.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

I would like to make some clarifications.

    Hello Julius M
Sorry I haven't got back to you before now but I've had a few problems trying to make this reply.
I was using firefox as my Explorer. When I tried to open your message the system kept looping between 'hotmail logon' and 'connecting' and didn't get anywhere. Also, when I clicked on the 'reply' radio button below your message, nothing happened. ......I've now gone back to using Explorer 8 to try to reply.
    to answer your questions:

Unfortunately the message didn't stay on the screen long enough for me to click OK of for me to see who sent it. It may have been Microsoft or possibly from Firefox. Just before this, I had downloaded and installed several critical MS updates for Win 7.

I have uninstalled Firefox and will try again with a fresh installation. Possibly Firefox went wibbly.

I've just reloaded Firefox Ver 9 and the problem still exists.
Opening your link in firefox just loops and can't find a connection.
    Also, I can't make a reply.
It seems that Firefox doesn't like Win Live Solution Centre or WLSC doesn't like Firefox.

It works OK in IE8 (but Internet Explorer lacks the refinements of other explorers... changability, bookmarks etc)
    Hi chriswhitehead,
Since according to you, you did not change any information on your account information, therefore this is issue is not account related. Furthermore, since you did not change your ISP provider therefore this is not an internet connection issue.
It appears that this is a browser issue since you don't have problems with IE8 and the preferred browser does not work well with Hotmail. I have some suggest: please try to deactivate the firewall and access Hotmail via Firefox. If this does not work, please try to open your Hotmail via Firefox using other computer.
    Thanks,
    Windows Live Julius M.
    Hi Julius M
I've tried again with Mozilla Firefox and it failed to allow me to properly open your reply and went into a ' connecting loop' when I tried to send.
IE8 works OK. This reply is with the Opera Browser. Let me know if you get this OK and I will advise Mozilla that their system is defective.
    Regards
    Chris Whitehead
    Hi Chris,
Yes, your reply was posted properly. You can inform Mozilla about the issue.

    Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

  • June 28 and 29 Email Outage and send/receive issues

Starting about 4:00 PM EDT I started getting errors when I tried to get emails from the verizon server. The outgoing emails seem to be getting through and I can receive emails on my other account. The error message says:
Server mail.verizon.net protocol POP3 Server Response -ERR [SYS/TMP] Service temporarily unavailable, Port 110, Secure (SSL): No, Server Error 0x800CCC90, Error Number 0x800CCC92.
When the request times out there is an error message requesting username and password, but entering them does not help. The popup message to repair email goes into Verizon In-Home Agent which is less than useless because it reports that it cannot obtain an internet connection and asks about resetting the wireless router. That's when it works at all. Sometimes the application just hangs up and I have to close the window.
If this IS a temporary interruption I wish there would be a web page where status could be seen and updated when service is restored.

Baltimore 8:43PM same crap here.    Second time in about 3 months.  Maybe switching to FIOS from Comcast was not too smart....
Support chat is down when it should be up. Also probably being flooded with calls, so they pull the plug. The tech support line says issues with vzw.com. I think it is a little more wide spread than vzw! All Email outgoing looks to be down. Who knows what else. Inbound it connects, but that does not mean it is working. I guess it is a rare occurance. I can not say I ever remember it being down at completely. Perhaps Email taking three days to get through a few times should count sa being down.

  • Help please:set up mac 10.4.11 with ext dsl modem to send and receive faxes

Hi and thanks in advance. I have a G4MDD dual processor, and have a dsl modem for internet connection. I want to set up to send and receive faxes. I can make and receive phone calls while connected to the internet. any ideas or help appreciated. Thanks again.

I cannot send/receive faxes via my dsl, I have to use my regular phone line. (My DSL modem only has one phone jack port, and that is to connect it to the outside world. Pretty sure this is true of every DSL modem.)
When I need fax capability, I unplug the phone line to my telephone at the phone end, and plug that cable into the modem port in the back of the G4. (The modem is built-in.) After sending / receiving, I switch the cable back to the phone.
You set up fax capability in System Preferences / Print and Fax.

  • Receiving Faxes and EMAILING them to yourself

I have a working fax modem and I'm running Mavericks. I'm only too thrilled to be able to send/receive faxes. And I can do both, but my Mac won't properly email it to me. I have checked the "Receive faxes on this computer" and "Email To," but it's not sending them.
    Help?
    Thanks!
