E71 arabic vs english keypad

Hello,
I recently bought the E71-1 Steel black version fron kuwait with an arabic key pad, arabic letters are in white and english letters are in blue! I can't quite see my english letters when light is dimm and background light doesnt help.
I want to change my keypad to the european version but i noticed that some charachters, such as the period, question mark, etc.. are not on the same button comparing the two keypads!! do i need to do any software updates to fix this or will it still work? I currently have the latestos firmaware 210.21.006 dated 02.03.2009 RM 346, HELP ANYONE?!?

Actually, I asked Nokia support center by phone about this, and figured out that E71 cannon support arabic&russian and hebrew&russian at this time.
Previous model E70 did, as well as E75, at least by my research in internet.
I wish Nokia will add this support. Additionally, It's sad that E71 misses at least 1.5 million people market simply by not enabling this language combination. Does Nokia do some market research of that kind?
As for me, lack of this support can cause me to stop using Nokia's devices.

    HI
I have windows xp in my computer.
Yesterday I installed oracle 9i in my computer.
By mistake I installed arabic version.
Now I want to change this arabic to english without
    deleting the existing installtion.
Any suggestion how to change arabic to english
    Dev

You need reinstall on same ORACLE_HOME by using Oracle Universal Installer,
then must specify or select new languages for installing products .
But, if that only you want to get English message, you might get as follows.
    set NLS_LANG=American_America.'nls_character_set'

  • Arabic and English Subtitling solution needed... asap.

    Hi all,
At the company I work for we need a subtitling solution for the videos we create; (as soon as possible!)
We need to be able to hard-sub (bake in) subtitles that switch from Arabic to English (usually line by line).
At the moment we use Aegisub to time and write up the subs, and as Premiere can't handle subtitle files (seriously Adobe, please do something about this), we have to use screen capture software to capture the subtitles, of which we then overlay this video in Premiere which is unreliable to due to frame rate issues.
We're aware of the pt_ImportSubtitles After Effects subtitle plug in which would be great(!), but the subtitle subrip file that this would take cannot handle Arabic text (it appears reversed due to the right-left nature of Arabic text).
Also we can't write the arabic subs straight in to After Effects as we've had endless issues with the text appearing backwards etc.
We need to use this on an immediate and regular basis so if anyone has anything that can help, please let me know!
    Thanks!

To write Arabic to Premiere, After Effects, etc, use the following website to reverse the Arabic text and make it compaitable:
    http://omar84.com/docs/taw/arabic_writer.html
Paste the Arabic text to INPUT, choose Process Input, then Select Output and copy (CMD + C), then paste in Premiere, and choose a font that supports Arabic (Example: Adobe Arabic).
Here's another website that does the same thing:

  • Forms(9i) from Arabic to English usin Translation Hub

    Hai everybody,
I need urgent help in translating form modules(9i) from arabic to english.
System(Win2k) Language settings have been set to english and arabic.
    NLS has been set to
    ARABIC_UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.AR8MSWIN1256
for oracle DS and Oracle DB.
With the above configaration I tranlated english version module into arabic sucessfully using Translation Hub.
    But reverse is not working.
I created a form in arabic.
    I change NLS to AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1
and translated the form to English and build it.
Build is successful but convertion did not take place.
Can anybody help me how to achive this.
Does Translation hub support the translation from other language to English?
    Thanks and Regards,
    I.S.Reddy

    Frank,
    Thanx for reply.
I started with Arabic as base project.
Then translated the form into english choosing englishing as translation tanguage.
And then build the project with menu command Build translated file.
It generated the new fmb file successfully.
Now I set NLS_LANG to english and compliled it and run.
It is showing still in arbic.
Since it can not recognise arabic character set when I set NLS_LANG to englihs it showed question marks instead of arbic labels.
When I tried to run the form without changing NLS_LANG to english it is showing lables in arabic only.
But reverse is(english to arabic ) is working successfully.
    I tried all possibple combinations.
If any other configaration setting need to be changed pls guide me.
    Thanx,
    Sreenivas

You can only return the machine if you're within 14 days of purchase - otherwise you're just 'stuck' with what you purchased (unless you sell it, of course).
I always recommend that Retina owners order 16GB of RAM as the RAM is not upgradable - it's soldered onto the logic board.
Your call - if you're with 14 days of purchase, take it back and exchange for a 16GB model. Or sell it and buy a model with 16GB. The higher amount of memory will allow you to run far more memory-hungry apps concurrently.
    Good luck,

  • Buy mac air with Arabic and English keyboard

would like to buy mac air with Arabic and English keyboard?
    can u guid me

Nobody in these forums represents Apple or any store.  So to find out whether you can buy something, you need to contact stores or consult their websites in the country where you live directly yourself.
Since you did not say where you live, it is hard to provide much further help.  If you live in the US, you can go to the web page for the online store and order this machine with an Arabic keyboard.  But they will not ship outside the US, and every store is different.
Arabic keyboards always have English on them too.  Otherwise you could not type email or web addresses.

  • When ordering MacBook, does the keyboard come with only the language I specified, for example Arabic, or both Arabic and English?

I'm planning to order a MacBook Pro from the apple store, but I was wondering if I order it with an Arabic keyboard, does the keyboard buttons only contain Arabic, or do the buttons contain both Arabic and English?

The buttons contain both Arabic and English.
All keyboards with non-Latin scripts printed on them also have English printed on them.  Otherwise you could not type email and webpage addresses and the computer would be of very limited use.

  • Mix of Arabic and English causes problems in JTextArea

I have a JTextArea which displays HTML of an Arabic web page. So it's essentially a mix of English and Arabic. In the JTextArea, with columns set to 30, certain text just disappears instead of wrapping properly. The weird thing is that if I copy the invisible text and paste it into Notepad, then I can see it in Notepad. If I change the number of columns to 40, everything displays fine. Any ideas?

It seems that Arabic is not the problem here. It is something to do with tabs. All the lines that disappear begin with 5 tabs. If I remove one tab so that they begin with 4 tabs, then they appear fine in the JTextArea

  • How do I change my language from Arabic to English? I can't understand any of this stuff!

Everytime I start Firefox, it is in Arabic and I can't understand anything in the tool bar to change it to English

If the Firefox user interface (menu bar) is in the wrong language or if you want to change the current language then you can get Firefox in the language of your choice here:
    * Firefox 7.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Uninstall the current Firefox version, but make sure that you do not remove your personal data.
    * Install the new Firefox version of the wanted language.

  • Is it possible to include Arabic and English (or symbols) in the same sentence using InDesign CS6?

    Hi guys,
The discussion title is pretty much the question.
The difficulty I'm having is when I place a full stop at the end of an Arabic sentence or a closed bracket. If its continued with some more Arabic, the sentence will flow correctly. If not, then the English/punctation/symbol will move to one end of the sentence.
    Any help is appreciated!!
    Adil

For example, in the image above the letter G on the third line of Arabic should be at the end of the sentence (reading from right to left). The "G" is a symbol which reads incorrectly otherwise.
Is there any way for the letter to be in its correct place at the end of the sentence?
I've also encountered this problem when trying to insert brackets and full stops, whereby the symbol always ends up at the far right of the sentence and often restructures the entire sentence.

  • Why are alll the license agreements in arabic not English?

Help get Adobe to fix this!  At least it's true for Flash Player, I haven't checked others.

The license agreements are in multiple languages.  When I open the Flash Player license agreement using the Adobe Reader plugin, it automatically jumps to the English section (page 87).  The top page starts with the Arabic version, as it is first in the alphabet.
You can also activate the bookmarks and jump directly to the English pages.
    How are you viewing it?
