E71 bad camera

hi everyone i have a e71 on fw v200 now when i wanna take pictures at night i see lines in the window before taking pictures they have a red like tint is this normal? its only at dark and if i take a picture with flash the photo is without these lines but quality is not so good and at day there pretty much good quality for a business phone is there someting i can do in the settings for little better pictures @ night?

no the red lines are before i take a photo try by putting your finger against the lens and you will see it maybe before i had a nokia e90 with 3.2 cam but it whas way better in image at night as videos in general if i go and see the tech spec for the e71 on nokia site i see it can record @ 640x480 @ 22fps but in reality it maxes out @ 320x240 @ 15fps why didnt they just put the cam from e90 on e71 i like its bussines side with email etc but sometimes need to take pics and vids also

IMovie - Inspector options not enough for a bad camera angle

I've created a clip path (yellow line) on several seconds of a really bad camera angle. There is a music track so deleting cannot be done.
When I go to the Inspector, the options just modify the color/clarity of the image which is not what I need. I need to break up several
seconds in the image with a Transition effect, such as a cube or mosaic.
Dragging a Transition into the clip path does not work.
There are three hours of video and the project is ready except for about five seconds which is visually unacceptable.
How can I put a Transition effect into several seconds which are surrounded by the yellow line?

I would not suggest a transition for what you are doing. A transition is likely to alter the audio track.
I would suggest instead that you use the Cutaway feature. You can drag another clip, or even a photo, onto the clip where you want to replace the video. When a popup menu appears, choose Cutaway.

E71 problems: camera

1. With the default settings, the camera takes pictures with a faint purple tint. This can be corrected somewhat by manually selecting the appropriate white balance.
2. There may be a delay of upto 10 seconds between the camera sound, and the actual image capture. This happens when two conditions are met: (a) the camera settings write to the memory card and (b) the memory card has a large number of files. This seems to be independent of the capacity of the memory card. Workaround is to set the camera to write to the phone memory, and manually move files to the memory card.

More on the camera delay problem. The workaround doesn't work consistently either. I now observe this problem even with the camera set to phone memory.
Google found a few links to other users with the same problem. Apparently Nokia Care has a firmware update which might fix the problem.
Unfortunately a trip to Nokia Care here requires one to
1. Buy a nice thick book.
2. Charge up your iPod (as your phone doesn't work)
3. Load a picnic basket.
4. Leave a note to your family to send out a search party if you don't come back after a week.

Bad Camera but Genius Bar Swapped out the iPhone

FYI. My camera phone was not working correctly. When I would choose the camera icon, it would intermittently show a blank screen. Sometimes it would sort of work with strange green streaks on the screen. I shot a couple of pics and they were recorded in the camera roll. Called Apple and they told me it was a hardware issue (after I told them I already restored it once). Took it to the apple store this morning and the guy at the genius bar said it definitely looked like a hardware issue. They swapped it out on the spot.

No, you can't trade in a macbook that is broken due to being dropped for a working one. You have to pay for the repairs and they will fix your existing one.

Bad camera quality

I resently update my lumia 620 in black, my camera not taking good pictures like before plzzz do help, and another issue, plzz make it posible 8.1 update for lumia 620

You should know by now that there is a huge camera quality drop since the Amber update (which was not repared by the black update).
If you don't know yet, then I suggest that you do some reading through the various forums about Windows Phone and Nokia : I think that you really need an update before to post/answer on this subject !
The photo quality with my friends L920 was superb when it still had Portico.
That is why I bought 2 L925 phones, but I discovered immediately that the photo quality was a lot worse than my friends pictures.
When my friends L920 got he Amber update, his photo quality dropped as well.
What were/and still are the quality drops
- The photos are not sharp enough anymore after the amber update, they are smoothened.
- All photos get a horrible yellowish tint
- Photos taken with flash are completely yellowish
The Nokia phones were known for their camera quality - Amber and Black destroyed this advantage completely.
Restarting the phone, etc etc etc does not help and you should have known it by now.
You guys at Nokia do not read what the customers are complaining about, or you think that we are just whining (rest assured, we are NOT WHINING without reason).
We love Nokia too much to let it get spoiled by developers who do not want to listen to us.

Bad camera image

HPEnvy TS m6 Sleekbook with Win 8.1.
What is the resolution on the camera on this laptop?
I'ml trying to update the photo that goes with my account. When I start the camera, either with the standard camera app button or with the Cyber Link YouCam, the quality of the photo and or the vidoe is awful. It looks like it's set on a really, really low resolution. But I can't find any place to adjust the settings on the camera.
There's gotta be a way to make this look better.

I am experiencing the same problem with my HP Notebook. The image quality is very, very poor. Even in a well-lit environment, I can barely see the image. I've try .

I am experiencing the same problem. I recieved a HP touchscreen Notebook as a Christmas gift and the image quality is very, very, very poor. Even in a well lit environment, the image is still not clear. I have adjusted the settings to try to improve the image quality but there is still not much of a difference. I have also tried to reinstall the YouCam application but the image quality is still the same (poor). I like some features on my laptop and I'm still getting aquainted with it, but the image quality along with a few other technical issues such as (freezes), has negatively impacted how I view this product. I hope that there is something that could be done! Please help!

E71 Camera

I am facing a problem as all pictures taken are low quality? anyone can help?

Open the Camera.
Goto Options - Settings
Set the Image Quality option to Print 3M - Large
Now the quality of the E71's camera rather sucks in low light conditions. But works OK as long as you have full sunlight.
I still think my old olympus 3MP digital camera takes better pictures than the E71's 3MP camera.

Is my camera bad?

I'm wondering if I have a bad camera in my Iphone or if all Iphonne 4S cameras work like mine?
It only takes good pictures outside and in very high-light situations. If I am inside the pictures are OK at best.
The other thing is, if there is any motion at all the pictures are blurry. The only time it takes great looking photos is when I'm outside and the subject of the photo is completely still.
Is this how all the cameras on the Iphone 4s work, I did I just get a bad one?

Just how the camera works.

I transferred some photos to my iphone via email and they come up in camera roll as low resolution. How do I fix this?

I transferred some photos to my iphone via email and they have very low resolution. First I sent them from iPhoto with highest resolution, then I transferred them to my desktop in highest resolution and added them to an email, opened the email and saved to my Camera roll. They all look like low resolution photos.This is the exact method I have used to transfer photos in the past with my 4S and never had a problem. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bad camera? HELP please! Thank you!

My husband has the same phone, we purchased them at the same time. I sent him the same photos in the same email that I downloaded them from and on his phone they show up with the normal higher resolution. Is it possible that there is something wrong with my iPhone or is there a setting that can be changed? I'm still learning to use it. All my other photos are of normal resolution. Does this make any sense to anyone?

Yoga 2 Pro Camera Pixelated? - Windows 8.1

Hey Everyone,
I just received my Yoga 2 last week, and I opened up the camera app and the image was very pixilated. Has anyone else experienced this? I am not picky about my webcam quality, but I would expect it to look similar to my camera phone in quality...

Hate to break it to ya, but the Yoga 2 Pro just has a crappy camera. Manufacturers always look for ways to cut corners and the webcam is a common victim.
It has a crappy generic 720p camera (less than 1 megapixel). You've been spoiled by Apple. By contrast, the iPhone 5s has an 8 megapixel camera with a good sensor, a fast aperture, and a good lens. It's usually considered the best mobile camera out there (most Android phones have pretty bad cameras too). The Yoga's camera is nowhere in the same league... not even remotely close.

Camera Graininess (video noise) on the iSight

Help- I have some really bad camera noise on the iSight and it seems to be in every application (iMovie, Quicktime, iChat). I'm wondering if my iSight is broken, or I'm doing something wrong?
I took a screen shot of it, with all the lights in the room on. It was very bright, and I'm still getting a lot of camera noise. help!

What application did you use to capture and enlarge this image? Your full-sized image is 991x736 pixels. iSight's native resolution is 640x480. Any camera noise is exaggerated when you enlarge the image beyond the native resolution.
Considering the size of the webcam image you have made and the quality of your lighting, your picture does not look "really bad" to me. However, if you want higher quality images, consider using a compatible Firewire camcorder for your video webcam needs. Most 2MP or higher digital still cameras will deliver better still images than any webcam.
If you want to try for better quality than this with your external iSight, try making another image when you can use daylight to illuminate your location. As explained in Use good lighting for the best iSight picture, the KIND of light you use is as important as the AMOUNT.
For some other suggestions, consider the suggestions in Improving Your iSight's Picture.
If you want other ideas, consider the How to test your (external) iSight to ensure it is functional suggestions for taking your iSight to a different location or a different Mac to see if the image quality is the same.
Finally, operating temperature can also effect camera noise. If your location is unusually (uncomfortably) hot, or if your iSight's air vents have been blocked so its temperature has risen, consider a cooler environment or unplugging your iSight for an hour to let it cool before repeating your tests. If your location is subject to atmospheric dust, consider gently vacuuming your iSight to remove any dust that may be restricting the flow of air through the vent holes in iSight's case.

IMac 2011 HD Camera not HD?

I've just picked up a iMac 27" featuring a HD camera, however it doesn't appear to render in HD on the viewed playback.I have seen other similar threads, here is my experience.
FaceTime - not unusuable but blurry, no sharp focus at any distance, looks like SD, over exposed or contrast on subject (me) areas in bright light.
Photo Booth - as above. Photo taken shows as 720 but doesn't look it.
QuickTime Movie recording - as above, even set at Maximum Quality doesn't look like 720.
Bad camera (I hope not as it is a pain to return for fix) or software issue?
Anyone else experiecing similar issue?

Turns out to be a bad camera - a really bad camera in comparision to others I checked in an Apple Retail Store. Contacted Apple Care and iMac will be replaced by Apple.

Unsatisfactory E71 auto white balance, blue/purple...

The E71's camera doesn't really shine with regard to automatic white balance. There's almost always some blue to purple tint. It seems to depend whether the "flash" was used and whether the camera is used in day or "night" mode. The other (non-auto) white balance modes usually don't match the actual lighting conditions too. Is it a deficient white-balance algorithm or is this tint just from the heavy noise in non-night mode? Is there any workaround (on the phone, not postprocessing on a PC) or fix, maybe it is improved in 200.x firmware? - Kolja

before capturing any picture, set white balance to day light and press Ok
After that set it back to automatic
Purple tint is gone
You must do it after capturing

Z10 Camera Issues - Black image, no pics

During use of the rear camera on my Z10, the live image started to show streaks of lines in blue, green, or red, with the rest of the image being a shade of one of those colors. The pictures taken would look like these distorted images. I restarted the device and also pulled the battery. Initially no help, though after another restart, the live image now shows black, as if the camera has a lens cap over it. When trying to take a pic (even though a black image), it clicks as if it’s taking pic, but nothing is being saved. I’ve swapped options between saving to device and SD card (and removing the card), no change. So at this point, black image on live view and no pics recorded/saved when taken. Front camera seems ok. Any thoughts?
