E71 Built-in IM settings for MSN Messenger

I want to use the built-in IM for my nokia e71, but I don't know the settings for MSN Messenger. I'm missing the
Web Address:
I've found the settings for Yahoo Messenger, and I do have a MSN Messenger installed and working on my phone, so please don't suggest me some other programs to install for using msn messenger. I'm only looking for the "IM Settings"

The Pre does not have MSN messenger. The three messing programs it supports are Google talk, yahoo and AOL. If a developer makes an MSN messenger application then yes you can use that over your carriers.

Dual screen imac uses wrong inbuilt webcam for msn messenger video chat.

I have an imac and apple display set up, using msn messenger the webcam built into the apple cinema display is used not the imac webcam itself, can I change this so the webcam built into the new imac is used, thanks.

Your info shows you are using some "Other OS". If that is Windows, Linux, etc., I cannot help you. However, if you are using some version of Mac OS X and your system info merely needs updating, keep reading.
It has been several years since I tested msn messenger for Mac (MMM) , and I no longer use it. However, one of the following ideas should get things working unless MMM is written to prohibit selection of alternate cameras.
(1) Launch MMM and check its Help menu item. If MMM's Help on your Mac does not answer your question, check MMM's web support: http://mac2.microsoft.com/help/office/14/en-us/messenger/
(2) If nothing in Help or Support gets things sorted, you may be able to use the trick from ¶ 4 of http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302781 to force MMM to choose the webcam built into the new imac:
• Connect and power on all devices. • Quit MMM if it is running. • Launch any app with a user-selectable camera "Preferences..."
menu command. (The "tip" suggests that you use iChat,
but others like Photo Booth, iMovie, etc., may work, too.) • Open "Preferences..." and set the camera "Preference" to use
the display iSight. • Now launch MMM. MMM should now use the iMac's inbuilt
iSight because your display camera is in use by the other
application.

Using the built in Isight camera with MSn Messenger

I am trying to use the built in webcam on my MacBook Pro with MSN Messenger. I cannot locate the option to activate the camera. Any help is appreciated.

I have a new Macbook and want to video chat with MSN Messenger users.
Can I do that via aMSN?
I've also got XP running on my Macbook and have installed MSN Messenger running but I cant seem to get XP to recognize the built in camera. Is there a way to do this?

IM+ app, will I be charged for MSN messenger by my operator O2?

I am using the IM+ to use the MSN messenger, does anyone know if O2 will charge me for this or whether it comes under my free internet usage?

No, IMs send via IM+ (or any of the other chat apps) use data, not SMS. Therefore, there is no charge other than for the data (which is unlimited for your plan).

Configuring my internet/network settings for msn.

MSN used to run flawlessly for me up until four or five days ago. Now it disconnects every 5-10 minutes, randomly decides to not send/receive messages in mid-conversation, and just generally ****** me off. Its error message of choice is "The system is unavailable now so you have been signed out of Microsoft Messenger." but I can always sign back in right away without issue. It makes no difference if I connect to the internet with my wireless or ethernet. The problem happens with Adium as well but at least Adium automatically reconnects. Are there any settings I should adjust in the System Preferences?

[E71 on Linux] Best settings for encoding video?

Hello all,
I have an E71 and I would like to encode videos on my Linux box for it.
I have a script for that, using MPlayer's MEncode. I'd like to know what are the best settings, i.e.: Resolution, Video Bit rate, Audio Bit rate and Codec / file format.
Also, what is the best video player out there for the Symbian 9.1 3rd., preferably a freeware app...
I have DivX Mobile installed and the built-in Real Player (very poor quality playback - maybe because incorrect encoding?)

The iCloud ID that you log into Find My iPhone on the computer, or on the app has to match the one the other devices are logged in with. The Find My iPhone has to be turned on in iCloud settings as well.You do not need to have the app installed on the phone. That app is only used to try and locate another iOS device. It does not activate the Find My iPhone on the device, that is done in settings.

Hello, i need help with msn messenger webcam settings... I use the old creative Vista Webcam, and i can't get the right settings for msn... Does anyone have good settings there willing to tell me? MSN Messenger for mac 8.0

Anyone else download the new beta for MSN messenger hoping that the video chat feature would finally work?
I have and the video screen is completely black and the audio does not work.
The text chat portion works fine, just the audio and/or video not working.
Other programs work fine with the camera, so too does ichat using AOL accounts.
Any suggestions or solutions?

MSN Messenger inaccessible ?

As of yesterday I can't access MSN with either Messenger 6.0.3, 7.0.0 or Adium 1.2.3. For the last couple of years there has been no problem (I have to use it to contact the nieces on the other side of the world, so it's important to me) but as of yesterday morning I can't get logged in.
Nor can I get to the Messenger webpage (go to msn.com and hit the link near top left), nor can I telnet messenger.msn.com 6901 and nor can a friend in California - I'm on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada. The only error message I get is the lame oone about unable to connect, or you must not be online etc. I can't see anything in the Console logs either.
Can anyone else actually login for MSN messenger?
Any suggestions? (aside from don't use it - see above)
I did think that connecting up my timecapsule might have caused the problem but reconnecting everything as it was prior to that makes no difference.
The network setup is:-
Telus HighSpeed DSL (speedtest says 2800kbps/700kbps) to a 2Wire 2700 modem/router with the wireless turned off, then to the TC with wireless turned on and acting as bridge. Skype, iChat etc all work perfectly well.

It seems that it was the TimeCapsule somehow.
We also discovered that some websites were suddenly very slow to load. Looking at the Activity window for Safari showed that pretty much any content coming from an advert related site (doubleclick.net etc) would fail to connect and so the page was waiting (usually) until the timeout registered. How this could happen is anyone's guess!
This afternoon I tried taking the TC completely out of the picture and all of a sudden I had MSN access and fast webpages. Then I had to reset the TC to only be a backup connected by ethernet
This really seems very strange. How on earth could using the TC wifi
a) block advert site content so totally
b) do so even for one of the machine not using wifi but actually ethernet wired to the 2Wire modem/router and so completely (I thought) ignoring the TC
c) block MSN

MSN messenger always has me update and then closes sporatically...help!

each time i login my msn messenger tells me that i need to update in order to use it. so i do, but then it closes sporatically (sp?) and won't let me instant message anyone.

Since you run MSN Messenger on your Mac you are vulnerable to trojan horse apps and virus. You might want use an anti-virus program like this: http://www.clamxav.com/
MSN Messenger is after all a Microsoft product.

MSN Messenger uses wrong inbuilt webcam for video chat on triple screen set up. It uses a cinema display webcam not the iMac webcam.

For some strange reason if i attach my 2 apple cinema displays to my iMac to make a triple screen set up msn messenger video chat does work but it uses the apple cinema display inbuilt webcam and not the iMac webcam. Its annoying as i have to turn sideways to get into the video call view.
So i have a set up like this: an apple cinema display thunderbolt, then in the middle an iMac new then to the right of the iMac another apple thunderbolt cinema display. WWhen i use MSN messenger to make a video call it uses the inbuilt webcam on the far right apple thunderbolt cinema display and not the inbuilt webcam in the iMac in front of me, its annoying any ideas please.
If i unplug both side cinema displays MSN messenger uses the inbuilt camera on the iMac like normal but when i use extra screens it uses the webcam built into those and not the iMacs webcam.

I would try with another client like skype or something
and if it's only msn messanger which have the problem it may
be more of a question for ms's forum?
