E71 - Can't change ring duration

I've been searching for some time for information on extending the length of a ringtone on an E71 beyond the default 5 rings.  I've tried numerous setting combinations, ringtones and even created different length custom ringtones but am unable to extend the length.  This can be a real problem if I don't have my mobile phone in the same room as me - by the time I get to it chances are the call has already gone through to the message bank.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Does anyone have a solution or workaround?
Thanks

I am an Orange PAYG customer with an N97 and my phone diverts after 15 seconds, which is a real pain as I miss more calls than I manage to answer.
Having spoken to Orange I was initially given the code to extend, but this didn't work.  On contacting them again I am now told that PAYG customers can only have 15 seconds and there is nothing they (or I?) can do about it.
Quite why this restriction applies only to PAYG was not explained, (Contract customers can have 25 seconds) but the money they make from voicemails and call backs is likely to be the major factor.
If I was selecting an operator for the future, Orange would not appear on my list if this is how they treat their customers.
Interestingly, you won't find any reference to ring duration in their FAQ, so they do appear to be ashamed of their policy, but not sufficiently so to take the necessary action.
If there is a fix with third party software, I'd like to know more please.

On iMovie 10.0.7 how can I change the duration of all of my photos in the project at once?

You can set the default duration of stills but you have to do it before you start the project.
iMovie is not really suitable for stop motion videos and iMovie 10 is worse than iMovie 9 because the minimum still duration is not really controllable as you have found.   I don't have experience of making such videos but there are 3rd party apps which appear more suited to this, for example http://www.macworld.com/article/1146623/stop_motion_Mac.html
mentions some of them, though its a bit old and you may be able to find more up to date information.

  • Can't change clip duration Motion 5

I have tried all of the work arounds I have been able to find in the Support Commnity and still I can't change the duration of source clips in Motion 5.  I have trashed plist, rebooted, repaired permisions, changed timing of project, changed name of clip, used the Timeline clock instead of the Instpector window.  Cleared all In / Out points and reset them to slightly different values. I have changed Timing to Variable and back again.  I can open clips in a new project and change duration.  I have opened new project and copied some layers from working project, the problem persists.  Is reinstall the option left available to me?

    BenB,
The specifics: Motion 5.0.4 Timeline is set to 6 minutes, the Media is 5:59;21 (QT,mp4, H264,1280x720, 24fps). Imported via File Browser into Layer Group (Group In / Out points are 0 and 6 mins, as is Play Range).  At one time the clip was in it's full duration.  Afterr a crash / restart it is only 01:52;27.  I can not Drag the clip to its full length. I cannot change it's duration thru the Inspector, not the Timeline Clock.
In an effort to isolate the issue I opened a new Project (same time setttings as original Project, imported the clip, which plays to it's full duration, and then, one at a time, copied and pasted all Filters and Parameters and Objects from the original Project; all play fine.  Then I copied the original Layer Group in it's entirety to the Test Project, and the clip is still limited to 01:52;27.  I then used Replace Media to select a random clips (same format) with varying Duration (all longer than 01:52;27) and got the same result every time; Duraton 01:52;27. Not one element of the Test Project has an In / Out set to anything other than the full Duration of the Project.

  • How can I change the duration for all clips in iMovie 10.2

How can I change the duration for all clips in iMovie 10.2?  I'm used to working in the older version of iMovie where all I had to do was click on the gear on the clip and change the duration. ALso could use the tool bar to set the duration for all clips. Can't figure out how to do that in this new version. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In the timeline select the clip whose duration you want to change. Click the adjust button at the top of the viewer and then click the i button and you can set the duration. For multiple clips select them all and in the i button type in the duration you want and it will be applied to all the selected clips. You can also change the duration of a clip in the timeline by putting the cursor over the beginning or end of a clip and dragging. A popup will show the new duration.

  • How can I change the duration of stills on Final Cut Pro X?

    Hello everyone.
I need to change the duration of stills and I'm having a hard time doing that. I'm not interested in changing the default setting. The stills need different times, so I need to be able to manually alter the duration of each clip. Does anyone know how to do this?
    Thank you!

  • Can't change the duration of my move animation in Keynote

For some reason, when I change the duration of a move animation in a slide, nothing changes. It always animates at the same speed. Anybody has this problem?
    I'm using Keynote 6.1

you will have countless other problems with this rubbish update,
What specific issues are you having and someone might be able to help you?
Keynote 6.1 is stable and works perfectly well for new presentations, continuing to use Keynote 5  for existing projects is a well accepted workflow.

  • Preferences, Project, can't change project duration or default layer duration

Having trouble changing the project duration or default layer duration in Preferences. I change them and restart Motion and nothing is changed.
    Probably overlooking something. Help

There are a couple of ways to lengthen (or shorten) a project once you've started the project.
    1) Select the Project "layer" at the top of the Layers list, then in the Inspector, select the Properties pane and look down for Duration. You can type in the value needed for the length of project. You have the option of using Timecode, Frames, or Seconds.
    2) Set the Canvas "clock" (/playhead position) to the Project length. To do that, click on the clock icon and the "time" should look like 12:15. Click and drag up (or down) on the time value to lengthen or shorten the project.
When you start Motion and are presented with a Project picker, in the upper right corner of the dialog, you can set the length required (Duration) for your project(s).  Once you start that project with that time length, Motion will remember and all subsequent projects will be created with that time length until you change it at that location again.  I actually haven't set the default project duration in preferences in quite a long time.  However, if Motion is not remembering the project length setting, you might need to Quit Motion, then hold down the Command and Option keys and restart Motion (that should delete preferences and reset Motion to its defaults).

  • How to change the duration of a sequence of stills all at once

    Hi.
I know how to change the duration of one still, but changing the duration of many seems elusive.  I've gone to the Help menu and typed "Duration."  That points me to the menu where I would change the duration of one still.
    Thanks for your help!

    edit:
For items already in the timeline, Select the each item in the timeline, right click and select "change speed" from the popup menu. You can not change the duration of a group of slides, only one at a time.
To change images that are already imported but not in the timeline, there are two ways to go - the brute force method and the item by item method.
Brute Force: Delete the stills from the Browser, change the duration of still setting in User Preferences>Editing to what you want, then reimport the stills. They will come in with the new duration. Changing the User Preference setting only affects stills imported after the change, it has no effect on material already in the Browser.
Item By Item: Go to the still in the Browser and change the duration for it. Right click on the time and copy it. Select the next still image time, paste the new time in, rinse and repeat. If you have a lot of stills and they are well organized (ie all in the same folder), the brute force is probably faster.

  • How to change the duration of multiple paint strokes

    Hello everyone! Newbie here.
I should've set the paint properties to first frame instead of constant. Where properties of multiple clone stamps are easily modified at once, the duration shows as a percentage and so I can't figure out how to reset the duration to the first frame of the clone stamps.
I should've read the paint chapter of the After Effects manual before I made a mess but I haven't found my answer there.
I'll also appreciate any suggestions for scratches and noise removal filters.
    Thank your for your help!

  • Change ring tone

    Hi all!
I have just bought my iPhone and I wanted to know if it is possible to change the ring tone for a song of myself that I put in the iPod's application, because it seems that I can only change ring tone from the ring tones offered by APPLE.

You can create ringtones from songs many different ways.
This is one of the most asked and answered questions on these forums.
Type "ringtone" into the forum search bar on the right side of this page and you will get countless threads on the subject.

  • Can you change the legth of time (or number of rings) it takes for on iphone 4 to time out making an outgonig call?

Can you change the legth of time (or number of rings) it takes for on iphone 4 to time out making an outgonig call?
Mostly it's to call in for radio contests. The Iphone is really good at making a quick call, but it seems to timeout after 15-20 rings. I realise this is a small thing, but free tickets is free tickets.
Most commenst I see is abotu incoling calls, not outging.
    Thanks.

No. You can't do this with any phone.

  • Can I Change duration of a Film Burn in Final Cut Pro X

Is there a way to change the duration of a Film Burn (.mov) in Final Cut Pro X.  for example I have 10 second film burn (.mov), and I want that film burn to be 30 sec or more any way I can do this?
Currently I copy the Film Burn several times on the timelien to make it longer.
Note: The Film Burn is set at 10 seconds, I CAN NOT DRAG it to make it any longer.  Any Ideas would be great!

You could drag three instances into a timeline and then create a compound clip that you could use over and over again.
