E71 - Deleted all calendar entries in error
I have been a plonker. I somehow managed to delete all my calendar entries and did not have a recent backup.
Any ideas if they are recoverable and if so how?
Thanks
Stuart
Hi Stuart,
I was also a Plonker and accidentally deleted all of my calendar entries and I hadn't backed them up. Did you find a way to retrieve them? If so please share!
Cheers Julie

Os 5.1 deleted ALL calendar entries
Hello all,
iPad One.
I've just updated to OS 5.1 and when I did a calendar entry all my previous entries disappeared!
I thought this only happened in Windows!!
This is NOT supposed to happen with an Apple product, or are we going the way of Windows?
Sorry for the rant, but my fault for not having done a sync for about a month, relying on Apple.
Help.
Regards
Geoff - Nordolk, UK not VANo company, not even Apple, can guarantee your data's security. Errors happen, and you've got to protect your data. Unfortunately, if you didn't sync the iPad for a month before the update, there may not be any way to get the changes made during that month back.
What kind of calendar was it? An iCloud calendar? If so, do you have any other devices syncing with your iCloud calendar? If you're using iCloud with iCal on one of your Macs, take that Mac offline and open iCal. Export a copy of the calendar to an iCal Archive on your desktop. Then make sure to do a full backup of that Mac, just in case. Now go back online, and make sure it syncs with iCloud. If all the events disappear, import the data you exported. Then re-sync the iPad with iCloud. That ought to get you back up and running.
In the future, prior to a system update on any device, you should back it up. In the case of an iOS device, that means not only that you should sync it with your computer, but also that you should back up the computer. -
How do I delete all calendar entries from iPhone 3G S
My iPhone calendar is out of sync with Outlook (2007, connected to an Exchange server). There are appointments no longer in Outlook that are still on the iPhone, and appointments with the wrong time on the iPhone. SO I want to remove all the calendar entries from the iPhone and then redownload everything from Outlook.
So how do I delete all the calendar items from the iPhone WITHOUT deleting them from Outlook or messing with my Outlook profile? Thanks, Allan. Actually, I prefer to sync my calendar via iTunes because I refresh Outlook and sync via iTunes much more frequently than I fire up VPN to get directly to exchange. But I did use your tip the other way - I turn ON Exchange Calendars to blow away my current iPhone content, then turned it back off to delete the Exchange content. That left me with an empty iPhone calendar that I could then load via iTunes sync.

Using the USB cable to sync my blackberry deletes all calendar entries older than 3 mos
I'm not very good at this kind of thing, so please pardon what I'm sure will be mistakes/omissions as I describe my problem.
Every time I sync my blackberry using the USB cable (I'm told by my boyfriend who is an IT guy that I can't sync it wirelessly although I don't know why), all of my calendar entries in Outlook get erased--that is, all the entries that are older than 3 mos. I frequently use those entries as reference so I can't lose them--so now I'm terrified to sync my blackberry.
Any help will be much appreciated!
JennyI just found this on the support page and am going to try it for a couple of days to see if it solves the problem:

Overview
When synchronizing the Calendar via the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, past calendar events are being deleted on the desktop calendar application.
Cause
Calendar items on the BlackBerry smartphone were deleted as a result of the keep appointments setting in the Calendar was set to delete older appointments.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:
Task 1
Configure the BlackBerry smartphone to keep past appointments:
Open the Calendar application on the BlackBerry smartphone and press the Menu key.
Select Options and then General Options.
Within General Options set the Keep Appointments options to Forever.
Task 2
Configure BlackBerry Desktop Manager calendar synchronization options:
For BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.5 to 5.0:
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer with a USB cable and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Select Synchronize from the main menu of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Select the Synchronization link and click on the button labeled Synchronization to configure the synchronization settings on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Select the Calendar.
Select the option to Synchronize with Microsoft Outlook and click Next.
Select either the Two way or One way sync and click Next.
Select the Default profile for Microsoft Outlook.
For the Calendar date range select the option to Synchronize items within a range of days, configure the date range to sync 30 days in the past and 365 days in the future.
Click Next.
Continue through the configuration wizard and click Finish and then OK.
Perform a new synchronization.
For BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.2 and 4.3:
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer with a USB cable and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Select Synchronize from the main menu of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Click on the Configuration tab and then on Configure Sync.
If you are still prompted to make deletions from Microsoft Outlook for past calendar events that were not manually deleted, then you may need to repeat the steps above and synchronize with a smaller date range for past events.
For BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 1.0 for Mac OS:
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the Mac with a USB cable and open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Select Calendar.
Select Two-Way.
Select All Calendars or Selected Calendar, checkmark calendars to use during synchronization.
Select Advanced Settings.
For the Calendar date range select the option to Only events, configure the date range to sync 30 days prior and 365 days after.
Click on Sync.

I deleted one of the email accounts from my i5 because I don't like all the password popups since upgradingto ios 7.2, and now ALL calendar entries are gone! I need them!!! Can anyone help?
Well you need to add the email account back to get the calendar entries. Transfer them to another email provider. Then delete the account you don't want.

E71 All Calendar entries disappeared
I went to add a calendar entry and found the calendar completely empty! I did notice some screen flickering earlier in the day, but had not changed any thing since last using the calendar.
Any reported problems with the calendar.
ThanksI have a problem with my E71 in which my calendar entries disappear automatically after some days. I do not know how they disappear. When I create it, it appears in the claendar and gives me alarm reminders as expected. But my past meeting entries disappears without my knowledge.
Is there any setting which comes into play automatically which deletes these calendar entries ?
Please advise.
Thanks a ton. -
Delete all calendars from an iCloud account
Hi Support Communities,
did anyone find a way to delete all calendars from an iCloud account? It seems that iCloud wants to keep at least one calendar. We use several accounts and one is only used to look at shared calendars from other accounts. So there is no need for its own empty calendar. On iOS I just hid this calendar, but on OS X it is always visible. I unchecked it, but it would be nice if I could just delete it. If I do so on an iOS device it is gone, but reappears later. Trying to delete it on a Mac results in an error that it can’t be deleted, same goes for the web interface at icloud.com. It’s just a cosmetic issue, but I would prefer it to be gone altogether. Any ideas?
Thanks
BjörnI had hoped I was wrong, you never know. Well, thanks anyway!

I live in Canada. Each time I travel to the US, I lose all calendar entries. I have to erase all data, then restore from an iCloud backup. Tedious. iPhone 4, iOS 7.1, sync set to all events. I only use the default calendar. Do I have an incorrect setting?
I did find another point worth mentioning.
I use my iPhone 4 with a corporate Exchange email account. I had deleted the account from my phone just before I did this backup/restore process...and I thought my battery drain was much, much better (if not outright fixed).
Later in the day, after seeing my battery life improve to near-new behavior, I re-added my Exchange mail account. Considering I have 1 yahoo account and 3 gmail accounts, the Exchange account adds a 5th email account.
What happened? Battery drain back to "worst case". Removing or re-adding the Exchange account is like toggling between decent and terrible drain conditions.
Bottom line is that I re-added a couple dozen applications and battery life didn't change. By far, the Exchange account drains the battery worse than any other app and setting. This account must be polling very frequently and since people tend to send very large file attachments to that account, perhaps those effect the battery drain even though I have the account set to not download attachments.
Anyone running Microsoft Exchange might be able to confirm what I see? If so I can open an enterprise ticket with Microsoft and bug them on this issue. -
Delete All Calendars from iPad?
Simple question; hopefully a simple solution.
I want to delete all calendars from my iPad2, so that I can then copy the calendars from my Mac onto it?
I want all of the data deleted from my iPad, and don't want it to show back up again.
Like I said, it should have a simple solution.
Thanks!
Jon

http://www.ehow.com/how_7427878_delete-calendar-ipad.html
Repeat the same procedure for all calendars.
If the calendars came in via an Exchange account, you can remove the calendar syncing by editing the exchange account (settings -> mail, contacts and calendar -> accounts) and switch "calendar" in this (http://blog.fosketts.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Exchange-Account-MCC.png) dialog to off. -

How to delete duplicate calendar entries on N8?
Hi,
I recently added a .ics file to add some calendar entries into my N8 calendar. But somehow the same calendar file was added multiple times and now I have 5 duplicate calendar entries for each day.
Is there a way to delete these calendar entries without deleting my old calendar entries? The .ics file was a fixture list of a club and has a lot of entries so deleting them one entry by entry is not an option.
Thanks,
NakulNormally the fastest and easiest solution is:
Go to calendar/ Calendars Menu/ Hide or Delete any calendars that you can see (leave Personal or any you use the most)
It did the job for me. -
Switch all calendar entries from "private" calender to "normal/standard" ca
Hi guys,
is it possible to switch all calendar entries from "private" calender to "normal/standard" calendar in one step without moving entry and entry for itself to the other calendar?
Maybe in MobileMe?
Thx!OK,
I found out what was wrong myself.
In the end it turned out that it had nothing to do with the iOS5 upgrade itself.
In case somebody else stumbles accross this very same problem, here's what was going on:
- Within the latest lotus notes client (on PC) the user has the possibility to display (read-only) external calendar contents (e.g. google's calendar).
- When setting this up you need to supply your external calendar's login/password information and next to that
- also have the possibility to select "View this calendar when offline or on a mobile device"
It was this setting (which I probably accidentally enabled) causing the "issue". Deselecting this option made my duplicate entries disappear on my phone. -
