E71 e-mail trouble with latest software

Hi everybody
hopefully someone will be able to help me out here.I used to run a version 3 software on my E71 and that enabled me to use the phone's own e-mail client to connect to hotmail. Now i cannot connect to hotmail (live.nl in this case) using the phone's own application, and i understand that the nokia mailclient supports hotmail without having to enter server settings. Now i have started the mail installation wizzard and the nokia software installs itself, but then it get's to test the server connection and doens't stop doing that. I'v tried again and again, several days in a row, and it just doens't stop, even blanks y screen occasionaly.
Please help me out here...... i just want my hotmail on my phone. Thanks !!

1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

Shouldnt be? Itunes will back up your phone before applying updates, so even if something 'goes wrong', you can restore it to how it was.

IPhone 4s with latest software cancels sync at random times and doesnt display all music

iPhone 4s with latest software cancels sync at random times. When I manually manage music and re-sync it it still cancels the sync half way through, but shows all songs I manually copied on the phone within iTunes. On unplugging the songs dont display.
Have already tried changing the language, doing a hard reset, updating the itunes software, unchecking all songs and only checking the songs I want synced, deleting the songs that the sync stops at from iTunes. Still doesnt work.
Any ideas? Not too bothered about the syncing part if necessary I can manually move music I just need to know how to make it display on the phone when it is not plugged in to the computer?
Dont say wipe the phone and start again thats not an option for me.

Instead of deleting I just re-imported everything over the top so iTunes has the links again. Now more songs have imported but when I get to a certain group of songs it cancels the sync.
I can see all the imported music I import on my phone but most of it is not clickable to play.
What happened originally was I cancelled a sync mid way, since then when iTunes tries to sync it always cancels at a certain point. Is there a way to effectively clear the cache of iTunes so it doesnt remember cancelling the sync before. I have tried updating iTunes and it doesnt work. Maybe if I uninstall then re-install?

Have an iPad mini with latest software upgrade 8.1.2. Verizon Messaging app crashes on use after one year with no problems. I deleted the app and downloaded a clean version. It crashes whether or not I have any apps running in the background. Sometimes I can type part of a message before it crashes. Other times it crashes as soon as I try to use the app at all. Neither Apple Support nor Verizon store staff could find any reason for the problems. Any ideas??

Steady_RI, thanks for keeping us posted. Did you uninstall that application by pressing/holding down the icon until the (X) appears? Tap the (X) to delete it. Once the application has been deleted, you will need to reset the network settings on your device in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Power that device off/on and then download the application again. Additionally, we also recommend that you disable Wi-Fi and connect to our network to test the messaging feature again.

Ipod nano updated with latest software will not play or charge on ipod dock

My ipod nano generation 4 is updated with the latest software version 1.0.4
It was playing and charging fine on my ipod docking station until the update.
Now however the ipod is unresponsive on the dock. neither charging or playing. I have tried it charging on the cord and playing on my headphones no issues.
any thoughts?

Trouble with Nokia Software updater software

I have trouble with my Nokia software updater.
It "freezes" in detecting your phone picture.
Everytime there is a new version of NSU and first time I run it after installing/upgrading it works fine. But when I run it one more time it freezes.
Anybody who could help me???

Hi I've ran the latest software update for my iPhone 4S but now it's running really slow has anyone else had this problem ?. I'm at home while writing this so connected to home wifi but still took me at lest 5 min to do this.

Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

I just performed the latest software update to ver 8.0.3 and restarted the computer. I now note the following: 1. All my photos are on a firewire ext. HD, always have been. Now the HD doesn't mount without a restart, sometimes a few. 2. Each and every function, transferring the scanned images to the iPhoto screen, cropping and adjusting is met with the feared rotating beach ball, lasting moments, or until I manually shut down. I do not think that the iPhoto update affected your External hard drive's ability to mount - that is an OS function, had nothing to do with iPhoto

Several people including me have had problems with iPhoto being strange after the 8.0.3 upgrade - because of it I am running activity monitor most of the time to watch what is going on - after launching iPhoto sometimes it eats all the CPU cycles and I've found that if I leave it alone until it completes what ever it is doing then it will be fine for a while and normally responsive. Give it some time (go have a cup - or two) of coffee - or better yet a nice lunch and glass of wine and see if it calms down - Mine seems to be getting better and doing the eat the machine alive less often and for shorter times
And if Time Machine is backing up it is much worse

Calendar sync failure with latest software

I get a message telling me to send a log to Blackberry support (Synchronisation error. A program error occurred at line 140 in .\Error.cpp. Please report this error by sending a log to technical support) when the calendar sync fails (using latest software). Only problem is, I can find no way of doing this from the support pages. Can someone tell me how to contact support please?

I found a response to a similar problem in the knowledge database, but doing the workaround (deleting all monthly recurring calendar entries) didn't fix it. I find it astonishing that there are about 100 articles in the knowledge database telling people to contact support, but nothing tells you how to!!

Iphone 3GS with latest software upgrade - Not fully functional ?

I have recently upgraded the operating system on my iphone 3GS to the latest software, although some of the new functions work like the home screen files it seems that the new function of additional incoming text alerts (some 17 new ones) are not on the phone, I have tried to re-install the upgrade but itunes will not allow this to be done as it says its already running the latest version, any help would be greatly appriciated.
