E71 - Email setup via IMAP

Hi
I have set up my work related Outlook email via IMAP.
All works fine, but whenever I reply/send an email, the sent/replied email is saved in not my office server sent box, but a copy is saved in my E71.
Can some one help?
Thank you in advance

  • E71 Email Setup with Push Email software - SOLVED

I am sure people have already used this software...
For others like me and after a few days trying to setup my emails on the E71 with the Nokia software, I gave up and found the FREE Seven software 'Push' emails that makes the E71 work like a Blackberry.
    - Free basic Yahoo account suffice...
    - Literally takes 5 minutes to setup
    - Can manage multiple mailbox (Yahoo, Gmail, Aol... & Others)
    - And its FREE !!!
I understand Nokia also has its version but seems to be more limited in usage.

  • Email connectivity via VPN

    Hi,
I'm currently unable to force a recieve email option via vpn on my nokia E72 phone. Details as follows:
    email setup: pop3/imap
    incoming: imap
    outgoing: smtp
    Nokia updates recent: yes.
There is no "send/receive" option on the client and the "synchronise all" option appears to do nothing. I can create and send emails no problem, they are received by the addressee with no problems, I just can not receive emails or download/synchronise with my company email account.
To connect I open the email client, choose the vpn connection, enter my username and appropriate passcodes, the connectivity is established, then no email is received, even if I syncrhonise.
    Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Its a server which can be virtualized. You will  have to order it.

  • I am having an issue using OS X Mail for email via IMAP

Hi there.  I am trying to use OS X Mail to set up email via IMAP for Business Catalyst email, but I am getting an error when trying to connect to the IMAP server on port 143.  The Mail application connection doctor points to the incoming mail server as the problem.  SMTP seems to connect just fine.  I have also tried to connect via multiple ISPs and am getting the same issue.  All of my setup information looks to be just fine.  Any suggestions?  I am using OS X 10.9.3.

I am having the same issue with Mac Mail — Version 7.3 (1878.6) running OS 10.9.4. All of the settings look correct with the correct ports, servers, and no SSL.  I've not been able to find a solution elsewhere online.
RCsCloud Have you resolved your issue?

  • Import Email to Server via IMAP - time out

    Hello,
I set up OSX Maverick Server 3.1.2. Everything works quite nicely.
I am having a client which uses the most recent mail.app on OSX Maverick.
This client is connected to the OSX Server which is in the same Gigbit Network.
Now I would like to copy all my emails from my previous account which are stored in my mail.app via IMAP to my OSX Server account.
When I copy the files the copy process ends and the error message is (e.g.):
133 messages could not be moved to the mailbox “Sent — OSX Server”
The connection to the server “server.mydomain.com” on port 143 timed out.
Can someone point me into the right direction on where I should look for a solution?
Help would be very much appreciated!
    Kind Regards, Chris

Try breaking the task up into smaller pieces. Either all the messages will be imported, or you'll isolate one (or more) that's causing the failure.

  • Can I setup Mail app to access Yahoo mail via IMAP?

Can I setup Mail app to access Yahoo mail via IMAP? I think that my iPhone is doing this, but what about the Apple Mail app on my Mac? I don't like the fact that the Mac downloads the e-mail messages and removes them from the server, therefore making them inaccessible from Yahoo's online mail or my iPhone.
I'd like to get to work just like my Mobile Me e-mail... Any thoughts?

There is an option in the 'Advanced' section of the account setup to delete the messages from the server after a specified period rather than immediately on download; you could leave them for a week or whatever, then they will still be there when the iPhone accesses them.

  • N8 imap email setup

How to make subfolders under in-box on a N8. Further, how to autosort incoming email to these subfolders. I have two email accounts. The work email set up under exchange got copied to the phone with subfolders, so this is a question concerning my private email setup. I use a mac at home, and it might be that the subfolder structure would have been copied to the phone if I had connected to an outlook account.

    Hi,
I guess there is no solution at the moment (please prove me wrong...). It seems that parts of the old Nokia email client are missing in the new N8 client. As far I understand the problem this was planed as a "feature" of the new client, because the client try to recognice folders by itself.
How ever - unfortunatly this automatic is in fact it is a big drawback because the function to subscribe folder is now missing and implementation of the search function is realy poor implemeted.
This means if a IMAP folder is any where else then in the root tree the client is not able to find it and in the moment there is no way to set the path manualy - as it was possible with the client.
This means e.g. for german T-Online/T-Mobile customers that the client will not work for them with folders until Nokia supply a fix.
I feel that Nokia should change that realy fast - because T-Mobile is this is germans mayor mobile network operator and I'm onestly speeking realy disapointed about fact that they come out with a new email client that is not compartibel with a mayor network operator.

  • How do I setup my IMAP email?

    Hi all,
I'm very new to blackberrys and it seems I've fallen at the first hurdle
I'm trying to setup my IMAP email address on the blackberry and it all seems to go through fine (well I get a message through saying 'Congratulations, you have successfully setup your email....' etc and you will be able to recieve new messages within 20mins.
I've been waiting far longer than that and not only am I not recieving any new emails but I'm seeing none of my old emails either or folder I've created etc!
    What am I doing wrong?

    As additional info,
The Blackberry is from Vodaphone and it's a Curve 8310.
To setup the email I followed the wizard and (on my blackberry) went to what seemed to me to be a web page and setup the email through there. I went into edit after I setup the address and verified that I'm using IMAP and not pop.
A few seconds after I clicked finish I recieved the message saying it would be setup in about 20mins.
It's still not working and I'm pulling my hair out.

  • I keep getting an error message trying to setup my imap email accounts on my new ipad air. Says user name or password is incorrect but I know for a fact they are correctly entered. How do I correct this?

I keep getting an error message while trying to setup my imap Gmail and Aol  accounts on my new ipad air. The error says user name or password is incorrect but I know for a fact they are correctly entered. How do I correct this?

Hi Allan, thanks for that. I've already set up a log in for my wife and that is all working fine. The problem is that when she logs in and opens iTunes and trys to associate her library with her iTunes account she gets the error message "This computer is already associated with another iTunes account". Whilst this is true, the computer is associated with my iTunes account under my separate log in, which should have nothing to do with hers. If she transfers the association to her account it will lock me out of my content on my log in for 90 days - I'm trying to work out how to associate each of the log in accounts with a separate iTunes account so we can access our music independently of one another without locking each other out. Hope that makes sense!

  • E71 email issues

I have been using my E71 for almost a year now and after 2 firmware updates, I am surprised to see that I still cannot open email received on my IMAP account. I am only able to see headers and am unable to download the body text of the emails. I have tried setting up other email accounts but the "headers only" setting seems to be the only option available to me. Does anyone know of a fix or a bit of software that can help me do this very basic task?
I bought this phone because it was supposed to be capable of running POP3 and IMAP email services but I must say I am surprised that it doesn't and also surprised this has not yet been fixed in an update.
I am using Gmail on the phone as a workaround but I would much prefer to have a proper solution, if one is available, rather than have to have all my business emails going via a third party application to get to my phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your reply.
I had a look at both. For some reason the trial version of Profimail wouldn't install (certification problem) so I never went further with that. I then tried installing Emoze and that was pretty painless to install and setup. I am now receiving whole emails as I need them, so a very happy bunny here!
    Many thanks.

_*Apple Mail and GoogleMail via IMAP*_
As posts concerning the setup of Apple Mail for GoogleMail IMAP access become more frequent on Apple Discussions, I decided to collect some of the most asked-for info in one place. The following hints are intended to provide enough info for anyone who wants to get started with Google Mail IMAP and Mail.app.
As you might have noticed already, GoogleMail behaves differently from other IMAP accounts in some respects. One of the underlying reasons is its use of labels instead of folders (i.e. instead of moving messages to different folders – like e.g. Private and Work – in order to establish some order, rather there are labels tagged to the messages). Because of this a particular setup of Apple’s Mail client is required.
    *Activating IMAP for Google Mail*
If you haven’t activated access via IMAP for Google Mail already, follow the instructions given by Google [here|http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77695&topic=13294]. It boils down to this:
    1) Sign in to Gmail.
    2) Click "Settings" at the top of any Gmail page,
    3) click "Forwarding and POP/IMAP",
    4) select "Enable IMAP".
    5) Click "Save Changes".
*Creating a new account in Apple Mail*
To add a Google Mail IMAP account in Mail.app, go to File > Add Account. A wizard will open which prompts you to insert your Name, the eMail-address of the new account and the password. Don’t use the option for automatic configuration if it’s available. Info on what to type into the different fields can be obtained from Google [here|http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78799&topic=12814]. The most important are:
    1) Incoming Server: imap.gmail.com, port 993 (using SSL)
    2) Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com, port 465 or 587 (using SSL)
    3) Your account name is your full email address including "@gmail.com" (without the quotation marks)
*Configuring the Google Mail account in Apple Mail*
After you have added your Google Mail IMAP account to Mail.app, you’ll find a section for Google Mail in Mail.app’s sidebar with subfolders like "All Mail" (which has in turn several subfolders) and folders for each label you created with GoogleMail. Now you have to configure the account properly. Despite what [Google recommends|http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78892&topic=1281 4], I found the following settings to work best for me.
In the sidebar, navigate to the subfolders Trash/Sent/Drafts/Junk of "Google Mail" (the one with the white folder icon instead of a blue one) in turn and go to "Mailbox" menu > "Use this mailbox for..." > Trash/Sent/Drafts/Junk respectively. Afterwards these folders show up as subfolders to the main Trash/Sent/Drafts/Junk folders in the sidebar (and at the same time disappear from the GMail section). Among others this step is necessary because of Google Mail’s implementation of labels. E.g., as Google states [here|http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78892&topic=12814]:
Messages that are deleted from an IMAP folder (...) only have that label removed and still exist in All Mail
So if you want to delete a message you have to set the option to "Use this mailbox for… Trash" as described above. Same applies to sent messages etc.
Furthermore, make sure every checkbox in Mail's Preferences > Accounts > GoogleMail > Behavior is checked . (Some will already and automatically be checked when you apply the option "Use this mailbox for..." as described above).
    *Some basic troubleshooting tips*
    1) If your counter for unread messages in Mail.app doesn’t refresh properly, go to "Mailbox" menu > "Sync all accounts".
    2) If you have set up a Smart Mailbox in Mail e.g. for unread messages and every unread message of Google Mail shows up twice, then add the criterion "Message is not in mailbox" > "All Mail", and set the requirement for messages to comply with ALL conditions (instead of ANY). This is necessary because of every message there is a copy stored in All Mail.
I hope these info will be regarded as helpful by anyone who tries to get started with Google Mail and experiences some problems on the way.

  • Sync email deletion using IMAP

The iPhone is setup to connect to a groupwise network via IMAP, and whatever is done using the PC (such as deleting emails) shows up on the iPhone, but doing these on the iPhone does not affect the PC. I thought IMAP was supposed to make this work both ways?

Is the account's Trash mailbox stored on the server?
If so, when selecting a message for deletion on the iPhone which is moved to the account's Trash mailbox, the message moved out of the account's inbox mailbox on the iPhone is not reflected when checking the account with an email client on your PC?
I access my .Mac account with the Mail.app on my Mac, with Outlook on a Windows PC I use for work and with the iPhone's email client and everything works as an IMAP account should. All server stored mailboxes with all email clients are kept synchronized with the server.
I wonder if the groupwise network has an effect on this?
