E71: Hiding private files

Can anyone tell me how to hide any picture, video, document or any other file in E71?
Best Regards,
Faisal Mohammad

Google for YBrowser
It's free and lets you browse all areas of the phone
You can move content you want to hide into the _PAlbTN folder and they won't appear in the gallery
A bit time consuming maybe, as you have to go back into there to view them etc. but it's free, and works well.
You can also send files from there too, so you don't have to move them back to the gallery to send.

  • Hiding Flash files in one icon

    Hello,
I'm a newbie to this forum and a novice at Flash, having used
the program for 3 years now. I was always interested in the
creative and design quality level people have taken, using Flash,
so that's why I took a class in the program during college. I never
thought I would ever use Flash again because it was and still is a
difficult program (I've learned it takes A LOT of patients and hard
thinking to work), but I enjoyed what could be produced once I got
through the hard, tedious stuff. So, that's my story....
Of course, I have a question to bare.
I just finished a slide show/movie of art pieces for client.
Now, I want to save it as a CD-ROM file. Having taken a class in
Director MX as well, it was very similar to Flash MX (this is the
version I produced the slideshow/movie in) and I barely remember
one of my projects where I had to create a Director movie and save
the files in one icon (did that make sense?). In other words, with
the numerous files that were produced from my movie (like in Flash
where you have various saved scenes), I had to create one icon that
would hold the files, so that the end user would only see that icon
(instead of the various files) and click on it to start the movie.
I guess you can say it was more of hiding the files in a icon. This
is what I'm trying to do with my Flash slideshow/movie. I have the
swf. file that has the complete slideshow/movie, but I'm not sure
if this is enough or do I have to go through a process to create a
    icon to open the slideshow.
Hope all that I've written made any kind of sense and any
    help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes you want all the files into one EXE right ? i.e one ICON.
You can use FlashJester Jugglor and hide all the other files
    into the
    Additional Files section in Jugglor.
Download a FREE evaluation copy from
    http://www.jugglor.com
    and give it a go.

  • Hiding of files in mobile

Hi we are developing an application in J2ME where the files can be hidden in mobile. So please can you suggest some API or any other source where i can find some clue.
    Thank you

Just use RMS, and only your application will be able to access the data.
If you're talking about hiding existing files, Java ME isn't the right platform for that.

  • Hiding specific file extensions

Finder lets me choose between showing or hiding all file extensions, but is there a way of selecting which extensions to show and which to hide?
I'd like to be able to see all my document files' extensions, but I don't need to see my application extensions.
    Thanks in avance

You can change individual file attributes, such as showing the file extension with "A Better Finder Attribute" from http://www.publicspace.net/ABetterFinderAttributes/index.html
I have used this program to mask all the file extensions for over 20,000 files that I transferred to my iMac from my old PC.

  • Extra "Private" File

After restoring, using time machine, 10.5.8 from 10.6 because of compatibility issues, I have an extra "Private" file on my desktop. Do I need to keep it?

Probably not. What kind of file is it? Can you tell what it is via QuickLook (control-click on it)?

  • Can I delete USR,share,private files?

Searching for causes of lost space, running app WhatSize, I found that several files were pretty large. All the "USR" files come to 400MB, the "private" (var etc) come to 75MB, followed by "dev" "bin", "mach kernel" and "sbin".
Is it at all safe to delete these? and will they be recreated by a restart?
    thanks

    Also:
Some of them vary in size. If you run WhatSize again, it may show a different figure, depending what your computer is doing at the moment.
DPSG-Scout is right about caches, but do not search in these folders.
Some caches that can grow that you can delete with no problem: the users caches. ~/Library/Caches separately from each user.

  • Showing/Hiding Hidden Files

Hey I was trying to fix a problem with my Macbook and turned on hidden files by typing a command in Terminal. Now I want to switch off showing hidden files. How do I do it?

    Hey Reverie,
There is a much better alternative, instead of opening terminal back and forth for showing and hiding files, why not create a keyboard shortcut for it? Yes, it's possible. and the good thing is that every time you do it, it updates the Finder window automatically unlike the Terminal procedure you need to open or update the current Finder window.
Use Automator to add the shell script and manually add a new keyboard shortcut hot keys in System Preferences...
I have a blog tutorial for a more detailed instruction

  • HT4859 I backed up my photos using the iCloud. I have picture in a private file. The pictures seem to be there buy I can't see them why is that?

I backed up my phone using iCloud's. I backed up everything I had however the pictures I had in a private folder I can't view them. They are in the file so it says but I can't see anything when I try to click on them. Are all the pictures lost or is there a way to view them?

I am assuming if I delete from stream they will no longer be accessible on my icloud?
That's right. If you delete from My Photo Stream or the Shared Streams, the photos will be deleted from iCloud.
Download the photos from the Photo Stream to your PC, if you did not already import them when you imported the Camera Roll photos.
Deleting photos from the Camera Roll is tedious. If you have iPhoto on your iPhone, you can select a range of photos from the camera roll and delete multiple photos at once.
The easiest way to delete all photos in the Camera Roll at once would be to connect the iPhone to a USB port and to download all photos. You should be prompted to delete all imported photos from the device.

  • Hidden Private File and contents - hack or remote user?

    Hi Guys.
Still think i have a hack or am being remotely accessed.
Found a private folder - hidden. the name should be my name - who is wheel or system - usually in this area it is my name?
would it be useful for you guys for me to show the contents of everything in here to see if here is a hack?
would macscan be able to find this hidden priviate file and find if there was something malicious?
    - james.

The private folder is a normal & essential part of OS X. It is hidden because you should not tinker with its contents unless you know exactly what you are doing.
Likewise, system & wheel are normal & essential parts of the OS. See the "Owner, Group, Others" section of http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 for more about this.
You are not being hacked. Everything you see is normal.

  • Hiding index file from URL.

I would like to know how to configure Sun Java Web Server 6.1 SP11 to only display the url and not the file name. For example, our website is going to a url http://newcompany/department/index.cfm. We would like it to go to http://newcompany/department/ and not display the index.cfm file name. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
I have i relevant point here.
    I made a key
    hary :userid=scott/tiger@orcl %*
The url now look like as follows:
    http://myserver/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe?hary&server=myrepserver&report=apptxnrep
    &parammform=yes
I do not wish to include the key "hary" also.
Is there any way i can specify any default parameters to be used everytime.
    Thanks,
    Harish

  • [Solved] Hiding the file owned by 'X' and 'Y': '/path/to/file/' output

    Hello,
After Pacman runs (after installing, upgrading, removing, etc), there is an annoying output that shows:
    ~ $ sudo pacman -S somepackage
    file owned by 'X' and 'Y': '/path/to/file'
    ~ $
I know that the output is (usually) caused by the --force option. How can I hide this output? I can't find it in the man page, or the wiki.

If I have read your post correctly you are getting the message because you used the force option inappropriately.  Although the example pacman command does not show you using force.  Do you get this message either with or without the force option?

  • Hiding private contact and other private information

I have used a Palm PDA for years and depend on its ability to hide private contacts and private information while having those not marked private visible.  (To view the private information one must enter a password.)
I am trying to migrate from using both the Palm PDA and Blackberry to using the Blackberry 8830 World Edition exclusively.  Is this feature available on the Blackberry?  That is to have certain information visible only after a password is entered?   If not, is there a third party program available which performs that function?
    Thanks for your assistance.

The native OS will use the password to lock the entire device.
Yes, black pangolin appears to be the same as safebox. I don't know know about about Safebox or BlackPangolin to recommend it. I have not used it, and I have read show less than favorable reviews of it.

  • Hiding Hidden Files again

Hi: Sorry if asked before. In every folder I open in finder, I see all the hidden files, either for a drive or for an individual folder. In individual data folders, there is always a .DS_Store for example.
Somehow I must have triggered something to display all the hidden files and I would love to figure out how to hide them again, but haven't been able to.
No option in preferences or in Get info on folders, so please help.
    THx in advance.

I found the answer, its in this forum about page 6 or so by someone who wanted to see hidden files.
The answer for me, was to install Tinkertools and run that and uncheck the view hidden files. Dont know how that got set, but happy that I can't see them again.
    Thx

  • Hiding pdf files during packaging

Hello, I have several pdf documents that are accessed by
clicking on a hyperlink using the "jumpoutreturn" function. I want
my students to be able to start the program without seeing all of
these additional files. I thought maybe I could just put them in a
folder but this doesn't work because authorware then cannot find
the files. Is there anyway for me to hide them in the packaging
    process?
    Thank you so much!
    Tamara

I have run into another, somewhat similar, problem. My
program creates a txt file that records my students answers. I
would like the txt file to be created in a specific folder.
However, I have it set up that the students enter text into a text
entry interaction, the text they enter is entered into a variable I
call "digits", and the txt file is then named "digits". Is there a
way that I can specify a specific folder and still name the file
the text that they enter in the text entry field?
For example, right now I am using the following code:
    WriteExtFile(FileLocation^Digits^".txt",WriteInfo1)
I tried to specify the file location as follows, however,
then it simply names the file "Digits^" rather than what is entered
and captured in the variable called digits:
    WriteExtFile(FileLocation^"folderA//Digits^.txt",WriteInfo1)
Is there a way that I can name the folder location and still
have the txt file named what is collected in the variable digits
    rather than simply named digits?
    Thanks so much!
    Tamara
