E71 - How to lock the phone autoamtically?
Hi,
I have annoying problem with E71. Is it possible to automaticaly lock the phone?
Now if I want to lock the phone I have to press upper red key and select " lock the phone" option and then I have to enter 5 pass diggits to lock the phone.
My last phone was Samasung phone and this option was avaiable.. so I'm trying now to find this ability in my new faviorite E71

Try the following settings:
Tools --> Settings --> General --> Security --> Phone and SIM card -->
- Keypad autolock period
and
- Phone autolock period
My previous phones:
6310i --> SE K750i --> E50 --> E61i --> E71
... much prefer the Nokia phones, especially the E71

I passed down my 3Gs to my son, his friend showed him how to lock the phone, he forgot the # and now we cant do anything! I tried going to at&t and had no luck. I cant do anything in itunes as the phone is locked..... I understand the itunes acct only allows one phone per computer which creates a problem b/c my 4 is registred to my mac. I don't know how to get the phone wiped to restore? anyone know what i can do?
If you don't know the passcode, you must restore the iPhone with iTunes.
If you are unable to do so without entering the passcode to unlock the iPhone first which you don't know, you must place the iPhone into recovery mode.

E71 Firmware Upgrade - Does it lock the phone back...
I got my E71 that is on 3 Network unlocked (by a mobile shop) earlier. Nokia released the new firmware however update wasn't available for all the phones depending on the network operator that are on. I wonder the reason for that whether operators put a protection to the firmware code that locks the phones back to themselves.
Has anyone out there upgraded their firmware if they had previously got their handsets unlocked? What is the result?

UgurAfter an update, your Nokia device may restart in its native language. To change the language go to Settings > Phone > General > Phone language.
If your Nokia device was originally manufactured for use in another country or region, using Nokia Software Updater may revert the set of available device languages to the original language set.
If your preferred language is no longer available after using Nokia Software Updater, you may need to return your Nokia device to a Nokia Care point to have this language reinstated.

i recently brought an iPhone 5 from a person and their apple id is still on the phone i for got my passcode and locked the phone up. I factory restored the phone and i still need their id to unlock it. how can i bypass the unlock activation
You can't. Until the previous owner removes the activation lock, the device is useless to you; Apple won't remove it unless presented with proof that the registered owner is dead.

i think my iphone 4s has a damaged software because it locks the phone always and powers it off without touching the power button. how can i rectify this problem?? i already tried erasing all the settings and content of the phone. thanks..!

My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3. -
At the moment my N97 telephone gets locked after a specific amount of time. Then I press the unlock code and it works.
I would like to know if there is a way to immediately lock the phone without waiting for 5 minutes

Go to Solution.Hi, simply slide the lock/unlock slider on the right hand side. Also you can go into Menu(silver button)/settings/phone/phone management/slide settings and turn auto lock on or off !

Send it back to your brother & have him get it officially unlocked, because there is no way for you to do that.
Only the carrier an iPhone is locked to can authorize the phone's official unlocking, & most(if not all) will not authorize such unless your are a customer that used the phone on their network...obviously not you.
So, send it back to your brother & have him get it unlocked or return it for a refund. -

It is not possible. You have hit Activation Lock, an anti theft measure. The last owner is the only one who can unlock it with their Apple ID. Tell them to go here

A computer illiterate friend created 3 accounts on his iPhone 5 but forgot the passwords. He can't reset the password as his yahoo address is no longer valid. Erasing the phone doesn't solve the issue as the Apple server identifies the hardware as registered. How to register the phone with Apple?
I helped him create a new email address and new iCloud account on my Mac but when we try to register the phone with Apple it says: Maximim accounts limit reached for this device. How can he register the phone? I read different threads and found out that only Apple care can do that. We're in Romania and don't know where to call. I will +1 Pixelan's products. They are great, simple, and have about the best support that I know of. When you explore, say Pixelan's SpiceMaster, dig deeply. Things appear rather mundane, on the surface, but there is so very much power lurking, just below the surface. I could almost imagine a 1000 page manual to cover every possible aspect of that program... Every time that I use it, I learn something new, and wonderful.

I have had my iPhone 4S unlocked by my provider. I am successfully using a monthly plan and a new SIM card. I have given the iPhone to my husband. We would like to erase my data so my husband can add his and use the Cloud to back up his data. If it was unlocked legitimately it will never relock. As you said you have sent this to your carrier to unlock this will always be unlocked however many times you restore the phone.
