E71 mail for exchange Error

I am setting up a Nokia E71 phone for exchange mail via the mail for exchange application on the Nokia all settings appear to be fine however when i try to sync email in the log i see an error "Server requires secure connection change profile >connection > secure connection yes"
The connection is already specified to be secure.

I'm also struggling to setup Exchange on my E71.
I'm currently looking to do software updates (I'm using software 211) and hoping the problems go away in the new cell software.
I put in all the settings, and it just fails to connect, yet, when we check our logs (Linux) we can see the phone making connection.
Thoughts?

  • E71 - Mail For Exchange Error - "Unable to connect...

    I have one user that is getting "unable to connect. Retrying" when trying to sync email using MfE.
    We have several other people using a combination of E71's and iPhones and they are all working fine.
    I have added the users details to my iPhone and it syncs fine. I have tried the same user on another E71 and still get the errors.
    If I just sync the contacts, they sync ok. Seem just to be that mail there is a problem with. I have changed the mail sync to 1 day and still no joy.
    Anyone give me some pointers?
    Thanks

  • Mail For Exchange Error -15006

    10 days ago we updated our microsoft exchange server 2003 to exchange 2007 sp2. All went fine. Almost all 300 cellphones synchronised over the internet without any problem except for two phones. One Nokia E61 and one Nokia E51. From blank i can only synchronise once. When i start synchronising for a second time i get the message "Error in exchange server" (translated)
    I upgraded to the latest firmware and the latest mail for exchange version without solving the problem. Changing the account on the phone also did not solve the problem. So the conclusion is that the problem is not in the account.
    In the adminlog of the nokia suite, which i installed to troubleshoot the problem, there is a Mail For Exchange Error -15006.
    Anyone have an idea?
    Thanks in advance.

    It could be a servicepack issue. Read this:

  • Mail for exchange error

    Few users have got a problem with m4e (E70), phones stopped synchronizing week or more ago.
    Problem is weird, everything works fine until on one day, new mails wont sync anymore. Tried removing and re-creating the profile, re-installing the m4e, resetting phone to factory defaults, and yes phone starts synchronizing, until we get to that weird day: it stops, and newer mails after that spesific time are not synchronized. Calendar syncronizing seems to work fine even after that time/date.
    We have many users using the mail for exchange, and everything works fine for most of them. There are only few users who have this problem and all of them have a different date, when this starts to happen.
    For those users m4e logs some errors:
    - Mail for exchange error -15005 (this error usually seems to happen before synchronizing stops)
    - Location of the message store changed. Doing full resync.
    - Failed to decode server response.
    - Mail for exchange error -15000
    - HTTP Client Stack Error: Disconnect - Kerrdisconnected
    etc.
    Is there any place I could find descriptions for these mysterious error codes. I have been trying to "google", but still can't find a solution for this problem.
    Help, anyone? Thanks in advance.Message Edited by cjet on 27-Aug-200711:10 AM

    Hi
    My E70 has just started to behave in the same way - one day it was working, then it stopped and hasn't worked since. The following is an extract from the log:
    07/02/2008 15:12:16 start Email sync
    07/02/2008 15:12:17 failed to decode server response
    07/02/2008 15:12:17 client->server adds=0 changes=0 deletes=0 fails=0
    07/02/2008 15:12:17 server->client adds=0 changes=0 deletes=0 fails=0
    07/02/2008 15:12:17 end Email sync
    07/02/2008 15:12:17 KEASErrSvrSyncFailed - Unable to Process Sync Response.
    Others in my company with E70's are not havng a problem. I have re-loaded the FW and M4E, but it still fails to sync e:mail.
    Any ideas?

  • E61i Mail for Exchange error - any clues?

    Hi,
    My E61i has recently stopped syncing, via MfE and now displays the message, "Your account does not have permission to sync with current settings. Contact your administrator."
    I have tried various things including reinstalling MfE and creating a new profile (twice). I am trying to sync back to a Zimbra server  ZCS operated by my email supplier. I can sync my PC quite happily. But the E61i won't play either using 3G (vodafone) or over WiFi

  • E75 Mail for Exchange error 15047

    I am experiencing strange error while trying to syncronise with Exchange 2003/2007 server.
    The phone is syncronising only first time and than it stops with a error: System error. Try again later.
    In the log file I can also find following: Mail for Exchange error 15047.
    Even if I remove and recreate the profile the error remains.
    After updating the FW it syncronise ones and than stops again.
    Does anybody has any suggestion about this? Any information about error 15047.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I think I've solved it by my own ... after struggling with it for days.
    I just changed system language for the phone (to english) and it started working.
    The phone restarted after the change so it can be also the explanation.
    Anyhow it is working and I can finish migration to Exchange 2007 after moving the rest of the mail user to the "new" mail server- those that are using active sync

    What would cause errorcode 15032 in MFE? Is there a list that could solve out different error codes?

  • Mail For Exchange Error -15006 and Exception durin...

    We have a few phones with following errors in admin logfiles. Both phones use latest (20.10.2010) version of MFE. The ping- error is very common in many phones, but the client seems to work.
    Nokia E51
    Mail For Exchange Error -15006
    Nokia E63
    18.10.2010 08:30:04 Mail For Exchange Error -15006
    18.10.2010 08:30:04 Error occurred during Ping.
    18.10.2010 08:30:04 Exception during Ping.
    18.10.2010 08:30:04 New heartbeat = 1.
    18.10.2010 08:30:04 Mail For Exchange Error -15006
    18.10.2010 08:34:59 PING Command Requested
    18.10.2010 08:35:02 start Email sync
    18.10.2010 08:35:04 status from server indicates a server error
    18.10.2010 08:35:05 client->server adds=0 changes=0 deletes=0 fails=0
    18.10.2010 08:35:05 server->client adds=0 changes=0 deletes=0 fails=0
    18.10.2010 08:35:05 end Email sync
    Could the problem be in:
    - server
    - client
    - connection
    - something else like certificates?
    The phones use company's own APN from teleoperator. No SSL in use as the APN itself is securely controlled. The Exchange is 2003. What could cause this?
    I find it very unsatisfactory that there exists no list of MFE-error codes. What could be better for system admins than a errorcode-list with deeper information of error. I have asked several times from support, but they never answer. This makes no sense for me.

    Is it really so that there's noone with sam problem? Has anyone heard about the same errorcode?

  • E71 Mail for Exchange System Error, try again late...

    Hi,
    Please Help!
    I installed MfE 2.7 on my E71, but whenever I try to sync my email and calender, I get a system error.
    It begins to sync the email but after that it doesn't sync the calender and I get the system error. Also each time it tries to sync emails, it retrieves all the mail each time.
    If I sync only the calender, it retrieves all the items and I get a system error. I've pasted the admin log below.
    27/10/2008 10:17:42 start Email sync
    27/10/2008 10:17:53 sync died (11), collection=Email activity=handling commands from server
    27/10/2008 10:22:36 PING Command Requested

    27/10/2008 10:23:01 sync died (47), collection=Email activity=handling commands from server
    Does anyone know how to solve this?

    OK - like many on the copius web discussions on this Nokia E71 model/MfE topic I have been getting terminally frustrated with an otherwise great phone.
    A trawl through the websites gave me lots of things to try, but most didn't work.
    Our large corporate IT dept also were left scratching their heads, and resorted to a full reset, which cured the problem briefly, but as with others' experience it soon returned (also having to fully reconfig is a pain in the proverbial). Things suggested on the discussion sites like disabling Tasks synch, or Secure Connection didn't have any effect.
    The fact that most others with the same phone on our system hadn't experienced the problem seemed to hint at it not being a server issue, but something more localised. The apparent fact that 'Emails' did synch OK, but that the process hung on 'Calendar' synch suggested it was a Calendar issue
    One post mentioned issues with no-finish-date recurring appointments in Calendar, so I investigated these. I found that one or two had no end date, so I gave these items one.
    But interestingly, I also found a high proportion of appointments that had been created last year (09) had end dates like 'Wed 31/03/00' when clearly 'Wed 31/03/10' was intended - was this an odd default in Calendar, or just careless typing? The consequences were that Calendar was possibly wrestling with numerous recurring appts with either 100-year durations, or possibly just hanging on the date confusion - is '00' before or after '10'?.
    Therefore, as a precaution, I checked all my recurring appts like this (the procedure may vary according to your browser):-
    - In Calendar, open each recurring appt in turn;
    - Open the series, not just the individual appointment;
    - Check 'Recurrence';
    - Check that an 'End By' date is there, and that it is not '00';
    - Click OK;
    - Click OK again if warned about exceptions;
    - Cick 'Save & Close'.
    Do this to absolutely all recurring appointments in your Calendar.
    Then do a full resynch (Menu/MfE/Synch Mode/Full Resynch etc).
    I didn't hold much hope of any effect, but Lo!, it did work, and now Emails, Contacts, Tasks, and Calendar all synch fine so far, using Menu/MfE/Mail for Exchange/Options/Synchronise.
    I hope this works for others...let me know if it does.

  • E71 - Mail for exchange syncs calendar only partly

    I'm pretty new to using the Mail for Exchange (latest version from Ovi) application in my E71, had a 3rd party software that handled pim sync before.
    Any how, the company has moved from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange 2010 and in that process migrated data from Notes to Exchange. For some reason the Mail for Exchange application syncs only entrys changed or created in Exchange, older entrys migrated from Notes unchanged wont show up in the handset.
    I have verified with handsets from other vendors that this is not an server/active sync error, fore example Apples iPhone will sync every entry. How come, anyone has any ideas?

    Go to OVI store on your E71 and download Mail for Exchange.

  • E71, mail for exchange, emails not being deleted

    Hello, I have an E71 on which I have configured mfE to sync with my company's exchange server. I've set emails to sync the last 3 days and calendar entries last 2 weeks. However, emails and calendar entries which are older than 3 days/2 weeks are not deleted from the phone. It keeps everything until finally it stops syncing and gives me a "system error, please try later". I'm thinking it is because the device becomes full or something like that. Doing a full resync resolves the problem, although it would be nice to have it working properly.

    Hi az1987,
    How often do u face this error on ur device screen?
    what is the frimware on the device*#0000#)
    what is the version of mail for exchange ? (this u can get from ABOUT of mfe)
    You said 'it stops syncing' when does this happen?
    please revert me back on the above queries so i can work out on this?
    by the way do u face this problem when u try retrieving all maisl instead of only 3days older?
    If this post helped... Add some kudos!!

  • Asha 300 and Mail for Exchange error - will not in...

    Hi there,
    I have just purchased an Asha 300 to trial Mail for Exchange, however every time I try to install Mail for Exchange I get the error message "You are running an unsupported OS version.  Please upgrade to OS14.53 or later".  When I try to do a software update from the Nokia Suite it says there are no updates available and the software version in v07.57.
    On the Mail for Exchange application it clearly says that the Asha 300 is a compatible device.
    Has anyone come across this before, or any ideas how to get it working?
    Thanks in advance.

    Please, have a look at the 7-letter code printed on your device (product code). That determines the firmware variant you have. And the firmware variant determines which updates you get. Consequently, what is your product code?
