E71: Offline + phone lock (reason?)

Hi there,
Does anybody know if the mandatory phone locking can be disabled when changing to the Offline mode? If I remember right, in the older Communicators you used to have a Flight Mode that used to leave the PDA side of the phone open while turning the connections and antenna off (basically what the Offline mode is for).
Why does the phone lock itself when turning to Offline mode when there's a separate 'Lock Phone' option just below it in the Profiles list?

@Sujit_md: You say your E71 doesn't lock itself when you access Offline Mode. Do you have a custom Security Code or have you left it intact, so that it is still the default 12345?
My Finnish friend's E71 also locks if he puts it to Offline Mode. He has got a custom Security Code the same way as I have.
Please report back. If you have left the security code intact, the fact that the phone doesn't lock itself might be just because of that fact.
The problem arises when one has already changed the security code to something else and thus enabled it. There's not much of a way to disable it afterwards.
I tried the three-button hard reset and my security code still persists and I'm stuck with a locking Offline Mode.

My coverage is within 1 inch either way of Loosing 3g and 4g and phone locks up.

I have just gotten off the phone with their Corporate folks as they were not to impressed with me for filing a complaint with the FCC because of my coverage or should I say lack there of. From what she told me after all the legal mubo jumbo was that the coverage map which was not so well done is only a maybe for coverage as their are 3 little fine print exclusions on the WEB.
I conveyed to her that if you tell me I have 4g and 3g and I move my phone on my nightstand 1 inch either way I loose the 4g. If I move it the other way I lose 3g and the phone locks up till I go into airplane mode and and back out. According to her I am on the fringe of the signals and they are sharing their signal with anouther carrier. In other words tough roller skates. And then to have the audasity to charge me an extra $30.00 to change out the old home phone connect for the newer one that you can get an extended antenea for. Get rid of theold inventory and charge for the upgrade or switch and bait. I urge everyone to file with the FCC individually and hold Verizon to task, I told her I would continue to persue this with the FCC till my area was fixed.
I have a Rezound that is stock. Plus for some reason when I tried to log back into this site I have to unlock my Account as it had been locked for some reason. Wonder who would have done such a thing to me especially after a phone call from Verizon Corporate. ( HUMMMM )

Nokia 5800XM phone lock issues

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing these problems? I searched and could not find anything relating to this.
I use the “phone lock” feature which requires you to enter a pin number in before being able to use the phone whenever it is locked. This is different from the key lock feature which just requires you to unlock by using the scroll key only. When the phone is "phone locked" the only things you can do is answer a call and snooze/turn off the alarm. Everything else requires you to enter the pin to unlock. I use this feature for obvious security reasons.
I have found two problems with this:
- Firstly, the “activate loud speaker” when answering is unavailable until you unlock the phone which can take a while and not easy to do if you are driving.
- Secondly, sometimes the alarm window for snoozing/turning-off does not work. It just hangs and I have to power off the phone. The alarm window appears under the "phone lock" window and even the buttons on the phone cannot stop the alarm. This happens occasionally and notably more often if I use the snooze.
Any help will be greatly appreciated,

It must be a faulty card. Try formatting it and see if it works. If not then you should replace it.

Remote phone locking - Lock your phone via text if...

This is a damn cool feature, basically once you set it up, if you lose your phone you can lock it via text message!I feel much safer now, as I have insurance but you cannot insure your privacy!
For reference the default lock code on an unbranded phone is 12345, I suggest you change this. Be warned though, the default lock code could vary if your phone is branded so check with your carrier first!
Go to Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt. > Security settings > Phone and SIM card > Remote phone locking.
Select Enable and enter a “remote locking message”. This can be anything you choose, but must be at least five characters in length.
Enter a PIN code, you will need this to unlock the phone.
Test it by using another phone and texting your phone the “remote locking message”.

you have to set the option to lock phone if sim changes, too.
so if he doesnt switch it off, you can lock the phone with a short message, if he switch it off and on again, it asks for the sim's pin code or if the theft changes the sim, it asks for the phone code. so he can only let it switched on and change the profile to offline to don't get the locking message. do you mean a theft know this all?

I carnt hear my message tone,the sounds it makes when the phone locks and opens.Also i am unable to hear my music playing from my phone but my alarm and ringtone are working.Can anyone help

It sounds like even though the Mute switch is not on, sounds are not making the, well, sound they should, and the volume buttons make a blank volume indicator appear on the screen that does not show the volume level.
I wanted to recommend a couple of things.
First, I would reset the phone:
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If that does not resolve the issue, then you may want to try backing up to iTunes, and restoring the iPhone again but this time do not restore the backup and set it up as new to see if the issue persists without the previous configuration.

I figured that was the case, but I've used the same passcode for years and I can't seem to figure out how I managed to screw it up when I set up my phone. Without being able to access my phone for a restore, how would I accomplish this? iTunes? Thank you very much for you help!

Phone locked up and other issues

I was having issues with my phone last night. Sync was a problem and I received several messages that sync for calendar and contacts could not be continued because phone was disconnected! Phone was not disconnected nor was the computer in sleep mode. I ejected the iphone from the itunes program reconnected and now itunes did not see it. Lucky I had taken a couple of pictures. Then iphoto launched and asked if I wanted to download pictures. Once I had then ituned came up and saw iphone once again. I once again tried to sync to no avail. phone locked up on removal- I called support- was on phone with support in about 10-15 mins. I was told that so much was going on with new devise that I should be patient and give it time to learn all imported information. Then when holding power button down did not work I was told to hold home button and power button down- viola it did a hard restart.
We keep going I went back to import and set setting to import what I wanted- songs- photos- movies- ipod web cast- addresses- and contacts. It went into import mode- everything looked good- it said import completed and them screen went black when I ejected from itunes the phone was sounding as if it was continuing to import on phone hard drive. Vibrating and syncing sound coming from phone. Phone did not respond to anything. No to power up, wake from sleep and another reset or hard reset only brought up apple screen and stopped. I was tired and went to bed. THis morning I got up to a screen that said low power, very thin line on battery image. I have let it charge now for two hours and I am back to battery that is 3/4 or a little more then fully charged. I have tried to import and it seems to be working.
After all I think I am up and running with music, contact, calendar, movies, tv and podcast imported. I have 8 gig and from what I choose to import I have a little over a gig and a half available. I want to play with wifi and web and all the functions but I am letting iphone fully charge up before I do. I am frustrated with what I have to refer to as crashes- feel think I am on my 840av computer with premiere video pushing to the max. till CRASH- I dont know if this has been issue with anyone but I feel the after 600 plus dollars and this out of the box I need some explaining!
On the other hand I switch from my blackberry and AT&T account in a matter of sec. with no issues.

My phone locked up while I was watching a video of Apple's website and I clicked the button on the earbud wire and it paused the video and started playing music. Then clicking it again, the screen froze. Holding down any one button did nothing, but I held down the top button and menu button and it rebooted the phone. Nothing was lost.

You'll have to wipe it out and restore from backup to recover, that'll reset the code but you'll lose any data since your last sync.

Clearing Lock Reason

Dear Experts,
I have set the Clearing Lock in the document. I have searched in the DFKKOP table, where I am not able to identify the document number with clearing lock reason.
I am having requirement that, if the line item is overdue system should lock the partcular line item, Is there any way to set the payment lock automatically?
Could anyone please guide me in which table I can identify the document number with clearing lock.

Request for phone lock code - Nokia E7

I got updation for my E7 to symbian anna. when i am trying to activate phone lock, it asking password and i tried 12345. But the phone shows incorrect password. It is the first time i am trying to enable this option. pls share other lock codes.

You may have changed your lock code , if you can't remember it then you'll need take it to your local Nokia care point. Please bare in mind that you will need back up your files first as any activities performed by a care point will potentially delete all your data.
