E71 + PC Suite rebot Vista x64 automatically

Just purchased an E71. Since I installed PC Suite 7.1, Vista X64 reboot automatically 5-10 Minutes after I shutdown my computer...
Does anyone have a remedy?
Thx

Hi,
I think that your older PC Suite version didn't support Windows Protable device driver (and thats why BSOD didn't happen).
I think that problem is in Microsoft's WUDFRD.SYS driver file, see this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933607/en-us
(I don't know does this solve the problem but check that you have latest version of those WUDxx.xx files.)
Also, you can try to update PC Suite to version 6.85 or disable Windows Portable device driver support from register.

Hello, there. I have PC Suite 6.84 and, of course contents copier V4.0 on Vista Ultimate x64. Backup went very well with both N73ME or 6267. However, on Restore part, when go to part that ask us which Backup you want to restore, it crashs and Windows has to close program.
PS. Not a problem with WinXP. All with USB connection.
What should I do? Any suggestion??

  • Vista x64, PC Suite 6.84.10.3 & Blue Soleil Blueto...

Under XP PCsuite supported the BlueSoleil Bluetooth Stack. I do not see this listed for support under Vista. Is there a way to get it working?
    I have
    * Vista x64
    * PC Suite 6.84.10.3
    * Blue Soleil Bluetooth 2.6.8 070517
    * Nokia N80, v5 software
I see bluetooth listed in PCsuite, but attempts to use it result in
Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software & drivers are available.
Frustratingly the BlueSoleil stack seems to work well - even under vista 64, so it's a shame I can't use it with PCsuite.
I'll try hunting for a way to use the MS stack, or else will look at widcomm, but is there a way to get this working first?

When you say only the MS stack is supported on x64, do you mean that PCsuite can only use the MS stack on x64 - as opposed to saying that BlueSoleil/WIDCOMM aren't supported on x64.
I ask because BlueSoleil definately is supported & works on Vista x64 -- very very recently.
I have found out that there are compatible drivers (from MSI) which should allow use of the MS stack, it's just that for broader purposes (including audio support) the BlueSoleil is more functional, supporting far far more bluetooth profiles, so I would prefer to get this working.

  • Automatic iTunes update fails because of Vista x64?

iTunes update fails via "Apple Software Update" on Vista x64, because the files that were downloaded are x86 and not x64! Is there a fix for this, or do we have to wait till an x64 version of "Apple Software Update" arrives?

As a workaround, you could try downloading the update direct from the Apple website:
    Latest iTunes Installer
(The website should automatically detect if you've got an x64, and download the 64-bit Vista installer. It will be called "itunes64setup.exe".)

  • Solution for OPML error in SOA suite Startup (Win Vista x64 and older)

    h1. Hi Folks!
When installing SOA suite on Vista 64 bit I encountered lots of problems. One of them was the following upon starting the SOA suite:
At 33% in the progress bar, the starter gives an error, returning a question about OPMN.
Caused by: oracle.ias.opmn.optic.OpticBadConnectException: Error connecting to OPMN (is it running?): Connection refused: connect
Being a newbie in this field, I resisted to learn everything (Oracle as part of a course of Busines Process Integration Laboratories at the University) about the works behind the package. Unfortunately, OPMN drove me crazy for days!
The main problem for OPMN is the unability for the system to handle certain issues.
One of the issues: When in a testing environment that is unstable (i.e. a laptop) some issues occur:
    * sleep resume is not supported
    * hibernation resume is not supported
    * restart is not always working for all processes
    (tested this with XP32 & XP64 SP2; SP 3; Vista 32 and Vista 64)
The main issue is with OPMN and the services that are started and controlled through it.
A solution for our workgroup has been made:
    -create a reset.bat file
    -use the following code:
    +@echo off+
ECHO Step 1 in the server reset is running: Shutdown OPMN processes
    D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\opmn\bin\opmnctl shutdown
ECHO Please continue the reset sequence by pressing any key
    pause
ECHO Step 2 in the server reset is running: Restarting OPMN processes
    D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\opmn\bin\opmnctl startall
    END
The commands regarding ECHO and the pause break can be omitted, but for supervision it is better to see if all processes are started in working order.
Please note the absolute paths, these are from my personal setup as they are the default from the manual. Adjust if necessary.
As User Account Control (UAC) does interfere a lot with programs in Vista (32 & 64) and from SP3 also with XP, please assign administrator rights to the reset.bat file.
This solution should take care of the "OPMN (is it running?)" issue, without rebooting or cold restarting the server.

  • [Solved] Audition won't start with [...\Preferences.cpp-253] error on windows 7/vista x64.

Hi! You have really nice support for Audition - 3 pages of problems here and no solution. Just kidding
So i've decided to help those poor users, that encounter the following problem (it may (or may not) arise after installing Adobe CS* with Audition already installed on the system)):
Adobe Audition crashes at start with the following error:
    [\premiere2.0\Backend\Src\Core\Preferences.cpp-253]
After applying the Windows XP compatibility mode error chages to:
Adobe Audition could not find a supported audio device. Please check your device settings.
    Then it crashes like before.
Uninstalling Adobe Premiere won't help, by the way.
This problem is somehow related to the audition_settings.xml file in the Data folder and deleting this file solves the problem. You can aslo delete the whole folder - it will be created again on a next Adobe Audition start. Here is the path:
    C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\3.0\audition_settings.xml
Some technical data on my system:
OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 (don't be confused - it is in every way identical to Windows 7 x64, at least for Adobe products). I have a strong feeling that Vista x64 users may encounter that too.
    Installed Adobe products:
    1. Adobe Audition
    2. Adobe Master Suite CS5 (without premier)
    3. Adobe Acrobat X
I hope that my post will help you solve the error in the next release!

  • Can't install Premiere Pro CS3 in vista x64!

    Hi
I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 trial version on my system Vista Ultimate X64, every time I run setup.exe that extracted on my desktop it load for few seconds, loading and then it close with no reason.
There's no error code or any message after it close. and I'm also pretty sure that my system met recommended requirements. I'll upload dxdiag anyway.
I just were on my way to buy this product but I said ill try it as long as there a trial version, thanks to "trial versions" idea that adobe presents to us.
Anyway, what is my problem, what's wrong?

I have to agree with Aanarav but I haven't suffered the same USB audio problem. My Rode mic works fine.
I've loaded CS3 Production Premium on Vista x64 and suffered no ill effects at all. My projects are longform (documentary) and the greatest benefit so far is the drastically reduced rendering times (mind you that's a quad core with 8Gb of memory.) Apart from the Adobe suite I can run GPU based programs like ProDad's Vitascene and many others concurrently without affecting processing speed all that much. For the first time I can actually run Prem Pro and Avid liquid at the same time (not too well mind you) and that's a feat.
As to all the "questions" Vista may ask the solution is simple - turn them off.
There's a lot of rumours about "lack" of drivers but this is changing daily and I don't have one piece of hardware/software from XP that can't run on Vista x64 including my 14 year old HP Laserjet 6p printer. The only hardware I needed to replace was my Lide30 Canon scanner (2 years old).
Oh! the nVidia x64 bit video drivers are a treat.
Vista x64 - faster than a speeding bullet (if you have a half decent machine)

9 of 11 were related to memory corruption.  Please run these 2 tests
These crashes were related to memory corruption (probably caused by a driver).
Please run these tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.
If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved. If you dont
know what it is you probably are not overclocking.
1-Memtest. (You can read more about running memtest here)
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Get it here
Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.
Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.
Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.
If a known good stick fails in one motherboard slot but not another it is probably the slot.
2-Driver verifier (for complete directions see our wiki here)
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition.
Most times it will crash and it will tell you what the driver is, but sometimes it will crash and won't tell you the driver.
Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.
I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise.
Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).
    Here is the procedure:
Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation"
For Win 8 dont check Concurrency stress test, and DDI compliance checking click "Next"
Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
Select "Finish" on the next page.
Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen.
Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly.
The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.
If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

  • Vista x64, PCsuite 6.84, N80, bluetooth - NoGo.

I've mentioned this in a few place but here's a detailed report of my inability to connect to PCsuite over bluetooth

Now I disagree with that last statement since Microsoft Bluetooth is up and running!
I am able to pair via MS UI, but any attempt to pair with PCsuite results in

I've tried unpairing, repairing the "connectivity" and "pcsuite" software items, rebooting pc, rebooting phone to no avail.
The same phone works ok on another Vista >>x86 PC, and this phone works ok with a serial connection.

  • Audigy 2 ZS, Vista x64: Finally got bass redirection working!

=Audigy 2 ZS, Vista x64: Finally got bass redirection working!B Hey guys,
I have hooked a Teufel Concept G to my Audigy 2 ZS. The Speakers do not have internal cross mix, so unless the sound card provides a bass signal there will be NO bass at all. This has not been a problem under linux, since it automatically configures the sound card to send out bass, but very frustrating in Windows Vista x64. GTA4 is no fun without bass ;-)
After endless searching and messing with different drivers (breaking the whole vista sound system) I coincidently got bass redirection (and CMSS2 apparently) working today.
These are the steps I took:
. Fresh install of Windows Vista x64
    2. Installation of Audigy 2 drivers provided by WindowsUpdate, did not download from Creative Labs
    3. Use an old CtPanel-App which actually could activate bass redirection and CMSS2?
    I uploaded the App:?

If you start the App it will take ages until it pops up, but then it works just fine. Feedback appreciated!
    regards

I also have the same problem, sound stop working after getting SP2, I updated vista to SP2 because I want to update to windows 7, with win 7 I have try all the drivers without success I still have no sound and with some drivers I get a blue screen. After 2 restarts windows 7 ask me to fix the problem with restore and vola everything works ok but no sound.

  • Vista x64 drivers needed for Satellite U200

    Hello,
has anyone installed Vista x64 on the satellite U200? I want to change now to 64 bit, will upgrade to 4 GB memory as well.
Has anyone experience with the drivers that work? For chipset, wireless and graphics there is no problem. For the fingerprint I have as well. But how is it with the Value Added Package? Is this compatible with x64 and the Flashcards as well? Someone tried to install??
    Thanks for answers!
    snipe

Hello again! I changed to Vista x64 now - and what shall I say!!! WOW! It is two times faster then the old x86! Cannot believe it!
And I got nearly everything working, except the toshiba value added package - so I do not have the flashcards and the wireless changer - but I can wait - hope they fix this. Everything else works:
    -fingerprint
    -graphicscard
    -wireless
    -lan
    -logitech mouse
-bluetooth (even switched to windows stack now for compatiblity reasons with logitech and nokia suite)
    -toshiba assist works
-touchpad works, with scroll and so on
yeah thats it so far - and I am happy - did not expect so much! Try it yourself!

  • Trouble installing pc suite on vista

i have Vista home premium, 32 bit, service pack 2 and have been trying to install pc suite 7.1 to complement my E71.
pc suite installs but the phone connection wizard comes up with the message "there is no available conncection type and therefore connection to phone cannot be established". i have tried all the tips in other discussion threads, uninstalling, reinstalling,  using registry cleaning utility, rebooting... i have also spent many HOURS on the phone to the care line doing all the above plus more over and over again to no avail.
one thing i have noticed in all this re installing process is another error message which comes up whilst pc suite is installing which is "service layer, could not start service" but i don't know  what that means and what effect it has. no one at the nokia care line has been able to resolve this so i am asking here to see if i can get help!
    thank you in eager anticipation!

I have had no descernible problems with Vista. I have it on both a desktop and notebook. I run Adobe Production Premium on both, although I am not a professional in the vid production business. All apps seem to work fine including video, animation, effects as well as standard office apps, web, and others. Once I turned off the UAC everything worked fine. I also have 3 computers with XP, but the computers are Pentium 4 vintage. My newer computers are Core 2 duo types, so comparison of pros/cons of the OS is problematic. I really have not had any problems on the Vista machines with hanging or other issues. 2Gig of RAM in each of the newer machines which I will be upgrading to 4. Vista seems to have quite a bit of security features and I wonder if the inability to install the updates is related to this security issue.
Again, help from those using Vista and experienced the same is welcomed.
    Thanks everyone for your help.

  • X-FI XtremeMusic - Compatibility with Vista x64

Hi. I currently have the Audigy 2 ZS installed in the following system:
    Intel Quad Core Q9300 (@ 2.5ghz)
    4GB DDR2
    ATI Radeon HD4650 GB
    Nvidia 730i chipset
Yet installing the drivers provided on the website with the operating system of Windows Vista x64 gave me numerous problems (particuarly in games...no surround hearing or decent bass) so have decided to go for an 'assumed' more supported card - the XFI XtremeMusic.
Now, my question(s) is, when I receive the XFI will the drivers on the CD be Vista x64 be supported and if not does it matter (I needed the CD before for my Audigy 2 ZS on XP before installing the drivers on the Creative website).
Do I get all the GUI apps included
Am I going to get that surround-sound-like hearing back (DirectSound or something is it's - the game I'm particuarly talking about is Americas' Army here if that helps). Bass too
I need to ask these most probably obvious questions before I buy the product, just to save me the dissapointment.
    Thanks,
    Junkz.

    Your question :
when I receive the XFI will the drivers on the CD be Vista x64 be supported
    Answer :
No, most likely you will get an original Windows XP installation CD with Win XP drivers and the software suite for the X-Fi XtremeMusic Soundcard. The Windows XP installation CD for Win XP will not work in the any vista OS. Below is a weblink to get the X-Fi Installation CD for Windows Vista.
This vista installation CD will have all the drivers and software needed to operate the X-Fi ExtremeMusic Soundcard. Yes. the GUI apps are included on the vista installation CD and some upgrades are required.
Whats NOT included on the installation CD is the Dolby Digital Li've and DTS Connect Pack, If you want it you have to buy it separately, weblink below. Also, this vista installation CD does not have the up-to-date drivers and software.
Once you install the Vista installation CD completely, You must either download the updated drivers and software separately from Creative Labs download webpage or use "Creative Software AutoUpdate" to update to the latest drivers and software of your choice.

  • NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT driver for Vista x64

    Hello,
I have an issue with my new MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz 17" that was released on the 5th of June, 2007.
It has NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT installed on it and I simply cannot find Vista 64 bit drivers for it.
I have tried the latest beta Vista x64 drivers (163.11) downloaded from nVidia's official website. I have tried several previous versions including 100.97 one, which contains drivers for 8600M GT model. But they don't work with me. All the driver installation programs allert the following error and quit:
'The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit'.
I also tried Vista 32-bit drivers for 8600M GT. The driver installation program claims the operation system is wrong and quits.
    Anybody has the same issue?
Does a working driver of nVidia GeForce 8600M GT for Vista x64 exist at all?

There was one Apple's presentstion where they boot into Windows Vista. So if you claim you can do it why do you forget about Vista x64 customers? I reckon it is because of Leopard that is coming. But it's not an excuse.
I'm currently working in Vista x64 and everything is fine except one thing, I cannot find a working graphics card driver and it is manufacturer's responsibility to provide it. Apple knew there going to be customers who will install Vista x64 on their computers and they at Apple didn't care about it because I guess it's a lame war between you know who.
So why you don't make everything perfect to attract even more Windows customers but instead you hint that you don't care about Vista x64 as you are getting your own 64-bit OS soon. So now they are forcing me to wait having been announced that I can use Vista. But isn't that kind of lame that it's slightly tardy? Why I should wait for Leopard launch if I was insured that Windows will work on my Macbook Pro? Because Apple claim you can run Windows. And don't say it's not official. Who else if not Apple made it possible to run Windows on Mac.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to insult you. I'm just angry that I cannot find a working driver.

  • Bass Redirect in Vista x64 w/ XI-FI 2.13.0

    Hi everyone,
My apologies if this question has already been answered (and often,) but I couldn't find it while searching.
Anyway, on my old PC with Windows XP (and then Vista) 32 bit, I was able to use my X-Fi's bass redirect function to spread out the bass over my front speakers. I've since moved my soundcard to a new PC featuring Windows Vista x64, and I can no longer find this feature.
Does anyone know if the latest Vista drivers (2.3.002) support bass redirect, and if so, how I might locate the feature?
My card is a Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Edition. Btw, I thankfully haven't experienced any other problems with the card / driver / OS combination. The card sits in an nForce 680i moBo and is situated in the lone PCI slot between the two PCI-E x6 slots.
    Thanks,
    Mark.

Hmm.. Very interesting. I'm downloading now (hopefully it will be finished by the time I arri've home from work -- it's a very sllllloooow download at 20 Kpbs.) Btw, does anyone know if this works on Vista x64 as well?
    Mark.
