E71 self reset - firmware 100.07.76

Hi all, my e71 resets itself from time to time during use either as USB modem or with Nokia Maps. Any one has experienced this? Cheers, YJH

I would recommend making a backup of your data and then try formatting the phone using *#7370# to see if that would help the software from rebooting.

WRT55AG self-resetting problem

I've developed a problem with my home network. I have a cable modem feeding a Linksys SPA2102 VoIP adapter from iTalkBB. The VoIP works quite well; there are no issues there.
However, downstream from the VoIP adapter, there are difficulties. If I connect either of my desktop machines or my laptop directly to the VoIP adapter there are no connectivity problems. If, however, I connect the WRT55AG's network port to the VoIP adapter, the WRT55AG appears to repeatedly reset itself; all the LEDs on its face flash on and off. I have left it connected in this state for > 24 hours and it does not stabilize.
When I connect the desktops to the router, without the upstream network connection, it also does this self-reset thing but it does stabilize after some time. I am able to access the router's configuration Web page after it settles down, but, obviously cannot go any further.
I have attempted to reset the router, using both the reset button and the reset button/power cord technique. My desktops use Vista and Win2K respectively, and my laptop uses Win2K.

OK, I tried to open the Web-based configuration page on the router. However, when I connected either of the computers to the router, I got the unstable state as before. All four of the wired port LEDs flash; then the power and wireless LEDs flash; then everything goes dark; then all the LEDs come on.
I downloaded the FTP-based firmware update utility and reconnected the computer to the router. During the connection, the Vista computer's network icon in the taskbar cycled between the "no connection" icon and the "searching" icon. I set the computer to a static IP address and performed a power cycle on both router and computer, and it resumed the unstable state.
The FTP-based firmware update utility was unable to access the router to update its firmware. However, now after these attempts, the router is in an unstable state even with no wired connections at all; the only thing plugged into the router is the power cord.
Thanks for the firmware advice; it's entirely possible that it could have become corrupted and required re-writing. How can I do that, though, if it won't stay up when something's connected?

Employee Percentage getting reset to 100

Hi,
I am supporting work schedule change form from technical side. When user changes the schedule to anything other than 80 or 100, for eg. 75, then eventhough program passes 75 to backend it is reset to 100.
Any thought why this must be happening? Where can I check for any configuration (I am a developer so do not know much about config.)

Hi,
There was an issue in the Form. Form was developed to change the percentage but did not include Hours in the calculation. I defined an additional field "hours' in form scenario and did populate that field in enhancement badi and it started working.

Droid Razr M Self Resetting After KitKat Update

My Razr M has been trying unsuccessfully to download the kitkat update since it became available. First I thought it was a memory space issue, but after making room it would still fail during the install process. My phone has had increasing problems every time it tries again to install the update, mostly self resetting more & more frequently. It has now gotten to the point that it freezes when trying to reset and I cannot get my phone to turn on all the way. Please help!!

May I ask is your personal info backed up on either your Gmail account or Verizon cloud? If so, and you know your username and password, then I would suggest performing a factory reset on the device, try to install the update without your info on the Razr M, and re-apply your info if the update is successful. How to reset Firmware Password? iMac, Lion, 10.7.3

I forgot the Firmware Password, and want to reset it.
How can I do it?
No DVD included when I bought it.
All the startup keys, like C, N, T, D, CMD+s, CMD+Option+p+r, CMD +v, Option, and Shift, does NOT work.
To add or remove DIMMs does NOT work.
Please, give me some helpful answer.

HT200148 reset firmware password

Loaded turbo tax into system in new standard account. Then only user name for new account would come up at boot. computer accepts password, gear starts, computer dies with only apple logo on gray screen. Tried start hot keys, got nothing. option key at start got network, which openred wi-fi with scanned nearby wi-fi connections even though I was not logged in. Tried firmware pass and it would not take it. Trying to reset firmware password. using option, apple, p, r on start three times; pulled ram chips, started, didn't hold down any keys, came back to new user dead apple account. Tried startup with option went back to firmware password imput screen. turbo tax put program in own drive, and boots to it only. Can I get computer to start up with other users bypassing firmware password?

If you enter login you are asked for the firmware password. go and boot work without a password.

Even boot and go ask for the password. If auto-boot? true you might be able to use the hard disk from a second system with a known root password. With FC-AL disks this doesn't work, due to the unique WWN.
How to "fix" it ?
* Get a new programed IDPROM (Timekeeper/NVRAM).
* Swap the timekeeper with one without security-mode set, swap again during operation (powered-on)and change the security-mode. Unfortunately this is very risky and probably impossible, because the timekeeper/IDPROM is located below the power-supply/add-in boards on the systemboard or the system won't operate with open cover, barely impossible.
* Clearing the contents of the timekeeper. This involves re-programing the host-id (NVRAM FAQ). The required commands have been removed in OBP versions 4.x, therefore this isn't an option

I have consistently seen Firmware updates available.. Up to V.300.x.xx now, however everytime I enter my Product code, it says my version is the only one avaialble...

Are you on 3 (phone model no 0569999)?
Locked phones can only upgrade to branded firmware and 3 have simply not bothered to work on any firmware release since 100.07.76, so all their E71s are stuck with old firmware and riddled with bugs.
A post on the thread below suggests they are working on it though and that if you call them they will then notify you when an upgrade is possible.

Frankly it is long overdue and unacceptable for phones of this type to go so long without new firmware.
I only got the E71 because T-Mobile wouldn't upgrade me to a BB last year. Wish I'd gone elsewhere now, this phone has been nothing but trouble - patchy coverage, intermittent (at best) internet needing constant phone reboots, and terrible battery life. All issues that could be (and probably have been by everyone else) improved in firmware.
If you're not on 3 it would be interesting to hear who else is so lazy?

How Do I Reset Firmware Password on the Intel MacBook Pro

Volume too loud. Mixer always resets to 100%.

Using:
Windows 7 64bit.
Firefox 19.0.2
Flash Version 11,6,602,180
My volume in flash defaults to almost horrifying levels. In the mixer I tone it down but every time I close firefox it resets itself back to 100%. When I go into flash settings there does not appear to be a volume slider anywhere. The only thing I can see is a mic slider.
The easy answer would be to turn my system volume down but for my computers multiple uses it is impossible to find a "happy medium". Each of my programs has seperate settings except for Adobe Flash Player which I cannot seem to find or get to work in the mixer. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nokia E71 hard reset and then....

Hi community, what happens is i perform a hard reset on my nokia e71, will i lost some software (that originally came with the phone)? or everything remains the same as when i bought it brand new?

@ Other users who search for help in this thread: Oposum is beeing a troll and should not be paid attention to. (I assume that oposum is refering to the "reset settings to factory default" manouver which would be *#7780# )...
people please understand, a sofware reset is provoked by software, a hardware reset is by hardware BOTH restore your phone to the brand new status.
If you only want to restore your settings the procedure is different.

You reset network connections, try a restore? More than likely if these do not solve the issue it's a hardware issue. I'd visit the apple store.

AI (cs3) Placed link resized - how to reset to 100%

I have a problem with linked files size, which can be solved by deleting and then linking again the same file back. But, doing this in document with 20 links....
Ok, lets describe the issue: I am making a paper sack (bag) label containing many linked elements (due to requirements to perform an single change "at source" for all labels). It seems like several of linked files have been resized (I don't recall doing any scaling myself) down to, say, 98,56% - I can see this by double click on the link in "links" panel. This small change makes all the difference when exporting label to b/w bitmap, but that is a different story.
Now, a have tried all the options in "links" panel and on right-click contents menu on the linked document, but there is no place to rescale the object back to 100%. I can reset the bounding box, change the "placement options", but info still shows the same %. I can manually drag the corner of the bounding box until I guess the size but that is no good and slow. Or try to guess the scale, say 102% to this 98,56% but that is bad also.
Am I missing something here?
Is there a way to perform this quickly?

I have managed to do it if anyone else get the same problem -
Link phone to iTunes. Hold power button for 3 seconds, home and power for 10 seconds, release power but hold the home button a few more seconds - that puts the phone into recovery mode. Restore from iTunes :-)

N97 / N85 - Hard reset - Firmware update Limit ???

Hi
Was wondering if there Is a max Limit to the numbet of times the Firmware can be updated
or the Phone can be Hard reset
before damageing the MEM Cards built into the N97 / N85

Nowhere its mentioned about the limit for reinstalling firmware updates and doing resets so with that i can say it can be done "many" times, basically its done when you encounter any problem doesn't gets resolved with other resets available, at last we resort to reinstalling firmware or Hard reset. I haven't come across any implications nor heard from anyone doing it often.
FYI N97 has a 32Gb hard drive built-in with an MicroSD slot for expansion.

SB Arena resets to 100%

Hey all,
I'm thinking that my headset's volume control has gone bad as it never used to do this. Everything seems fine until I pick up the headset. Then the volume goes to 100% but what's more is that it acts like I'm holding down the volume up. If I move the slider down it goes right back up before my eyes. If I try to mute it, it immediately un mutes and it affects other apps like I found that I couldn't close one a window or my IM all of a sudden wouldn't send when I hit enter twice. Weird right?
So I go to the volume control and try to press volume down. Nothing. However, when I hit them both at the same time? Voila all is fixed...as long as I'm holding both like that.
I'd already gone through updating drivers and so I'm left with this. If the volume up is getting stuck it would explain the behavior I'm seeing. This only occurs when the headset is plugged in btw and only affects the headset volume not the speaker volume.
I looked for a way to just disable the volume control but couldn't find any. I'm going to try bringing it to another computer and see if it's doing it there as well. But has anyone had this problem before? Perhaps I have the wrong idea on what's happening? It only started doing this recently too.
They're not that old but I moved and I may have throw the box away. Been looking for it but I don't see it.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit if that helps.

As per my research there is no any way to set the volume to specific percent. By design whenever Administrator\User will logoff and log back in it will reset to Full volume (100%). There is one similar thread as of your case, please have a look at it over

My system sound volume resets to 100% at shut down. Why? And how can I fix it? Tried PRAM

Just in the past few days my iMac has decided it needs to reset its system sound volume to 100#% every time I shut it down, so it can blast me off my chair when I start it up next. No amount of adjusting the volume, from system prefs or menu bar will keep it where I want it. Tried resetting PRAM and system manager. Nothing. It just will not hold the volume setting.
Has anyone got any ideas for fixing this?
I'm using Lion - it isn't on the choice list of OSs.

Well gee thanks Baltwo, but I don't need instruction in the use of drop-down menus. Had my OS been listed when i hit the drop-down, I'd surely have hit on my OS had it been there.
But it wasn't, you see.. Why? I don't know. Perhaps the display problem I've benn having with my iMac since last August. The display problem that the geniuses at my local Apple store can't fix because they can't decide if my machine needs a new Vcard or not. But they can sure keep my computer for a week playing with it and charging me for it.
Sorry, but I'm tired of zero help from Apple with issues and irrelevant rsponses to my requests for help.
