E71x lcd screen problem

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestion.  My nokia e71x screen went black for some reason, the phone is still working, just that I could see nothing on the screen.  I tried reset several time but it didnot help, I tried to push around the screen with my fingers then the screen would come back on for a few second and went black again.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Obviously a hardware problem of some sort if it comes back on when you press on the screen.   I assume you have AT&T service since the E71X is an AT&T specific model.  I would start with AT&T first for a warrenty exchange/repair.

  • Lenovo T410s LCD screen problem

I've got a problem with my LCD screen on Lenovo T410s. Everyting worked good so far. Today I wanted to check another LCD for that model which I've got. So I dicsonected the original LCD, and conected the second one to check. After I saw that the second one worked good, I disconected it. Then I conected again the original one and started the laptop. Unfortunately when it started, the screen didn't shine good - it's very dark. I disconected the one and tried back the second LCD, but again the second one shined very bad. Can anybody tell me what could happened? It looks like the inverter is demaged, but I don't even know where is the one inside that model. Please give me some advices

These fuses are extremely tiny and not meant to be user-replaceable.
You'd have to pull the board out and start measuring them one by one until you find an "open" one.
No clue where exactly these are on a T410 board.
    Good luck.

  • MSI MEGA PC 651 - LCD SCREEN PROBLEM

    Hi to anyone reading this!!!
My MEGA PC 651 has now started to show a malfunction on the LCD screen.  Only parts of the LCD is showing and the back light flickers.  I am desperate to fix the machine as everything else works fine apart from the screen!  I've had the machine a while now and really don't want to have to get a new system for the sake of the LCD screen malfunctioning on an otherwise perfectly working system!
Also, I am happy with everything it does and it is perfect for my needs!
I've contacted MSI directly, although understandably, they no longer have parts for this machine - (
Can anyone tell me where I could get a replacement screen/board from or if just the screen can be replaced.  I've had a look and can see the lcd screen fixed to the board and isn't removable - well, it is, but you would have to know what you're doing?!?!?
IF ANYONE CAN HELP, I WILL BE MOST GREATFUL!!!
    Gary

  • S90 LCD screen problem

My S90 LCD screen turns off by itself within a few seconds to about 30 secs.  All the other camera functions work while the LCD is off.   When I turn the camera off and turn it back on, the LCD comes back on but goes off again.   I have checked the auto screen time off and I have set to 2 or 3 mins.  But this does not affect the screen time going off by itself.   Is this a camera LCD malfunction or some other electronics inside going bad?   Obviously this is out of warrenty.  Hate to have to spend couple hundred bucks to have this fix if you can buy another camera for a little more.   I have also a S50 model that I had to change the LCD screen before when it went bad.   Any ideas I can command the LCD on my S90 ? TIA

I am sorry to hear that your PowerShot S90 powers the LCD panel off in about 30 seconds.  If you have it set to something other than this is the Menu, then there is likely an internal issue with your camera.  If this is out of warranty, you can consider sending this into the Factory for evaluation or participate in the Canon Loyalty Program.
This program allows you to replace your current camera with a refurbished Canon Camera for a discounted fee, and have it shipped via Second Business Day delivery.  The refurbished unit offered through this program carries a 90 day warranty.  The original non-functioning camera would then be returned to Canon USA for recycling using a prepaid shipping label that would be provided.  If you would like to take part in this option, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 seven days a week, 8am to Midnight.  Let them know you have been working with email technical support and the Canon Loyalty Program was offered.  Be sure to have your serial number for your camera at the time of your call.
If you wish to set up a repair, you can do so on our web site.  To start your repair process, you'll need to complete a request on our website.

  • Nokia N97 LCD Screen Problems - a never ending sto...

    Hello.
I recently purchased a new Nokia N97 smartphone. Everything about the phone is awesome, such as GPS, decent camera, good audio and video playback, etc, except for one thing. First thing first, I always see ghosting or 'burn-in' of images on the screen - quiet clearly on bright backgrounds. This is one of many annoyances as it often is visible when your watching movies and will only go away if the screen is off long enough. Another fault with the screen is that it appears to not refresh fast enough as I can often see what appears to be 'scan lines' running horizontal (if the phone is horizontal). Last, but not least, there appears to be diagonal lines crossing the screen from the top left to the buttom right as well as little matrixes of dots, however they do not seem to be on the LCD itself but rather the resistve layer. This may be just a feature to make the screen more reponsive, but I don't know and it is only visible in bright light, but when it is, you can diffently notice it. Does anyone else notice these strange effects? Will a Nokia Care Center help fix it?
And yes, screen proctectors have been removed.
    Naito.

I have the exact same problems... Some other problems two.
When I get a call and my correspondent quits the communication before I do, the phone freezes and I m forced to turn the phone off to deblock it.
This is really annoying. Some times, just while navigating between menus the screen gets stuck between two menus.
I purchased the phone 2 days ago and as you sed, its a great phone but not worth the pries, far from it.
I m goanna bring it back to the shop to have it change to see if its my phone who has a problem or the entire N97 series.
If that's the case I ll go for an other phone. I have always used Nokia phones, and was happy about them but this time I m am really disappointed.
I ll let you guys know if I get these problems fixed or if it gets worst.

  • LCD Screen Problem

I just got my classic from Amazon, and I noticed that there is something strange going on with the screen. On the bottom, there seems to be slightly light and dark patches. You see it more at an angle. Has anyone else every had this issue? I bought the item from Amazon, so do you think I should return it there or just go to an apple store and have it looked at?
    Thanks.

This behavior is inherent with all LCDs this size including digital camera screens. If it really bothers you then you can try to get a replacement with a less noticeable effect. However, some form of this will remain - even ever-so faintly.

  • MBP LCD Screen Problem

I have a MPB with the Intel Core Duo CPU. I recently had my screen go crazy. The colors look like something out of the 60's....very psychodelic. I did a screen grab and looked at it on another computer. The odd part is that the screen capture looked perfect.
Anyone else experience this "tie-dye" effect of their screen?
    Thanks

    Hey Aaron,
I think I am experiencing the same problem. My MBP started doing what you describe after a failed attempt to boot into Windows XP with Bootcamp. After rebooting several times into OSX and XP, I was able to get the proper display in XP, but upon rebooting again into Windows or OSX, the display is not working properly in either OS.
I connected my Cinema Display to the DVI port and have no problems with it and screen grabs from the Cinema Display and the MBP screen show nothing wrong. Apple Hardware Test reports nothing wrong.
I took a picture with my digital camera:

My Macbook Pro is running OS X 10.4.8 with the latest firmware.
I hope someone can shed more light on this.

So I pull it out of my pocket. And turn it on. Then wham... The screen seems to be missing every other line horizontally:

The lines are much smaller like that, almost like scanlines on a TV...Did I do this? And if I did (or if I didn't) can I still get it replaced for free?

  • Problems after replacing LCD screen

I fell over and cracked the screen to my ipod nano 3rd gen. (also broke my arm but that was easier to fix!). Ive just bought a new lcd screen for it and followed all the directions on how to install it. The problem im having now is it all appears to be connected right but the screen just flashes white to black and beeps. It was only recognised on my laptop as "no name" not as an ipod. Could someone please help and let me know what i have done wrong? Before replacing the screen my ipod still worked perfectly. Thanks in advance!

Thanks man. I will take a look at it later on tonight and see what happens. From my understanding some of these LCD's have the airport built-in or is it the antenna? I think mine is one of those, But it looked like the antenna just runs on the side of the casing for the LCD display which is still intact as I only removed the actual LCD screen. I'm gonna see if the connector is in fact not pushed in all the way although I never touched it.

  • Dirt behind LCD screen - common problem ?

Hi, I recently bought a toshiba EQUIUM A60-181 and I'm
experiencing a problem concerning the LCD screen.
There appears to be a defect or dirt behind the glass
because it's blocking light from a pixel. Any attempts at
apply moderate pressure to move this dirt has failed. I was
wondering if it's common with LCDs to expect some kind
of imperfection I cannot believe this has passed quality
control. Do i have justification for having it sent back
to toshiba for fixing it's only just 1 week old ??
I've read the warranty booklet and there's no mention of
dead pixel return policy can anyone elborate on what is
and what is not covered by the warranty ??
    cheers,
    Richard.

I've emailed Toshiba technical support to see where I
stand with regards to my problem. Having discussed this
issue with friends on IRC it appears I may actually have
something called a dead pixel. This is suppose to be quite
a common problem and some manufacturers can actually sell
you laptops with defected LCD screens which to me is criminal.
Ive searched the entire Toshiba website with the regards
to dead pixel cover policy or what the warranty does and
does not cover. I understand that to replace the screen is
gonna cost Toshiba loads of money but I would have never
bought this laptop if I have been warned that it may
contain defects in the screen. I can tolerate most things
like noisy fans harddrives and scratches but not problems
with the screen especially one thats brand new.
    cheers,
    Richard.

  • Replacement LCD install problems, black screen after boot.

    Hello,
Just replaced my broken LCD screen (model LTN170CT10) about a third of the screen was just vertical white lines and you could see a dark patch where the LCD was broken.. After quite a lot of searching I found a suitable replacement the same as listed on this link - http://www.powerbookmedic.com/17-Inch-MacBook-Unibody-Display-LCD-Screen-NEW-p-1 7383.html
My original screen was the matte anti glare so I decided to change to glossy as trying to find the aluminium bezel was proving impossible, anyway I followed the guide off this website and proceeded to replace the LCD, now after I boot all I get is a black screen, can't see any image at all, totally black. I opened the mac back up and checked all the cables and everything seems to be connected right but I still get the black screen. I thought I must have bought a DOA but I've tried the original LCD and that is just black as well.
Connected and external monitor and the mac is booted no problems, checked everything else worked, bluetooth, isight , airport etc, everything works fine apart from the display.
    Systems profiler shows this -
    http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n265/remrok/Screenshot2011-02-24at003756.png
I've zapped PRAM and reset the PMU and still nothing
Any ideas of what to check next or any other info would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Liam.
    Update -
After screen sharing the Macbook Pro on my G5 I tested the brightness buttons on the the Macbook's keyboard and sure enough I can see the settings go up and down. The contrast buttons don't do anything though the icon comes up on the screen and looks as if the contrast is turned all the way down and there is also a circle with a line through it, pic here - http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n265/remrok/Picture1-4.png,
