E72 Back Cover detachment/heating problems

I have E72 which is about a month old. I am having peculiar problem of the back cover coming out automatically (especially when put down and again picked up). It should be something to do with the press lever which gets activated when kept down, I think.
Also the mobile heats up every now and then without ant sufficient activity.
Does anybody else have such problems?

Is the back clicking into place properly? In my experience sometimes E72s have the opposite problem of not being the easiest things to open.
As for the heating, this model has a large proportion of its outer casing made of metals which will hold and transmit heat more than their plastic counterparts. If the heat seems excessive or appears to affect the operation of the phone, then there would be a problem in which case you are best having it checked by a Nokia service point.

  • Are there any problems using a back cover.

I want to protect the back of my iPad from scratches. Are there any problems using a skin or cover on the back?

Is it  ok to cover the back of iPad 2? Won't it affect the cooling system? Coz I don't see any ventilation point and it may be the back metal plate itself which brings out the heat. I purchased a "Targus" back cover from apple store and it fits perfectly and beautifully also very comfortable to handle but I removed it thinking that it might harm., also Apple hasn't introduced any sort of back cover either, only the smart cover for the screen they have, may be coz the back is designed to be open to the air.

It sounds like the battery might have gone bad, and is swelling and causing the symptoms you describe.  Do not attempt to use the phone, but take it to Apple for evaluation.

  • Nokia having problem in designing the back cover f...

did anybody noticed the difference of 5800xm between taking picture with the back cover and without the back cover?
i can only tell that, the picture taken with back cover is juz too **bleep**, while the picture taken without back cover is clear, vivid & nice...
before discovering this, i have heard of many people complaining about the picture quality of 5800xm. they were wandering whether the Carl Zeiss Optics on it is true or fake... and now, i know it's not the problem of the lens, but because of the back cover. it makes the LED flash to expanse to the bottom left corner of the camera, and thus making the picture with flash on looks like it's taken in the midst of the fog.
i hope Nokia would see this, and do something about it. at least design a better kind of back cover that can fix this problem for us to change. thxz...

what do u mean by "u tried and it worked"? was it mean that my experiment was true, and that the problem i mentioned happened to ur 5800xm as well?
it's ok if nokia didn't provide us the xenon flash on an Xpress Music series, Dual LED does take great image too. but at least design another good back cover for our beloved 5800xm. the Carl Zeiss Optics Lens is really good on it, and it takes good picture without the back cover...

  • Problem back cover letters lumia 710

Hello i have a lumia 710 which is in warranty, but the back cover letters from slogan "NOKIA"  detached.Only letter "O" detached but it beggins and "N". I went to the service, and they told me that the warranty does not cover the back cover but on the website Nokia wrote that design elements are being covered. "Nokia warrants to you that during the warranty period Nokia or a Nokia authorized service company will in a commercially reasonable time remedy defects in materials, design and workmanship free of charge by repairing or, should Nokia in its absolute discretion deem it necessary, replacing the Product in accordance with this Limited Warranty (unless otherwise required by law). "
    What do you think guys?

But is an element of design which had began to peel off without reason since I haven't droped the phone and there are no scratches. What are the elements of design in your opinion or what nokia refers to  ??
As far as I'm aware a design fault would be something that impeded the functionality of the phone. Think Apple and the "antennagate" affair whereby the design of the phone caused a loss of signal if the phone was held "incorrectly". Another example would be dust entering the device and getting under the screen and affecting the proximity sensor or the front facing camera because of the design of the phone.
Your particular issue is cosmetic and doesn't prevent the phone from being used as intended. I do understand where you're coming from and it must be annoying to have the Nokia logo coming off but unfortunately, I can't see Nokia fixing it under the phones warranty.

  • 6500 Slide: problem with micro SD and back cover

    Hello everyone,
My name is Shamsul. I live in Malaysia. I just got myself a 6500 Slide a couple of days ago.
I'm having a problem accessing files on my micro SD card.
It seems that when the back cover is opened it deactivates the micro SD by removing pressure on a tiny switch next to the micro SD slot.
My problem, I think, is that my 6500 Slide's back cover doesn't close as tightly as it should that when I'm playing music from the micro SD, the music gets cut off because of the movement of the back cover.
Music from the phone's memory can be played without interruption. Music from the micro SD card will play uninterruptedly if I keep some pressure on the back cover.
    Please help.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Shamsul Sulaiman

  • N97 Back Cover Problem

I got my N97 for about to months ago
And since the first day I feel that back cover is not perfectly joined with the phone
so if I press in the middle of the back cover I feel that it goes down & when I remove my finger it goes up!
How could I fix this ?
    N97 Black Version

Find some thin card (such as a business card) or plastic (I used a plastic presentation cover) and cut out a piece that’s a little smaller than the size of your battery. Place the card or plastic on top of the battery and snap the cover back on – fixed! Not very glamorous, but it works. Just make sure the material you use isn’t too thick or you won’t be able to snap the cover shut.

  • Notebook heating problem

When I bought my HP ENVY 15 j040el, it was cool, and the fans went high only when I was working on programmes such as Photoshop or GoogleEarth, which are graphiscs intensive.  But now the fan works very often even without PS or GE and hot air keeps blowing out from the vents.  The keyboard around the spacebar and above get heated.Any way to solve the heating problem? Laptop model: HP ENVY 15 j040elCountry: ItalyOS: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)Processor: Intel core i7-4700MQ, 2.40gHzVideo cards: Intel HD graphics 4600; Nvidia GeForce GT 740MRAM: 12gbHDD: 1tbWarranty/Guarantee: expired Sept. 2014.

Thanks Elena_t for your response. Following your link, I took a little time to prepare myself and go through the various EUFI diagnostics.  My Envy 15 j040el passed all the tests.  A month back I also  updated several software and drivers (including BIOS) through the HP support assistant.  There seems to be no issue regarding drivers etc...  as they are all up to date.  The guide you recommended says average heat should be around 35°C, but CPUID HWMonitor shows my average temperature with light internet navigation and wordprocessing at around 60°C.  This is without Photoshop, Google Earth and absolutely no games, in which case the fan roars into action. Regarding cleaning the internal vents of the fan, is there a YouTube or video tutorial on how to go about it on my model of Envy 15?  I tried to remove the HD drive pulling up the rubber casing of the drive but it does not come off.  How does one enter the fan area to clean out the dust and particles from inside?   Removing the cover of the HD, wifi card and memory modules area is easy, but I couldn't go further.   Do I need to go beyond this area and into to the fan area? Please help!

  • BOSD, Battery issues and Heating problem after iOS 8 upgrade

i have upgraded my iPad mini to iOS 8. Ever since I upgraded to iOS 8 am facing blue screen issues and heating problem as well. This is really frustrating even the patch iOS 8.0.2 dint solve the problem. Are you guys listening our complaints. When will you fixing it.

The same thing happened to me on my 2012 Subaru Outback.  I'm not sure this will help you since you have a Honda, but I'm posting this just in case.
I paired the audio on my car with my iPhone 6.  However, when I turned the car off and back on again, the iPhone would not pair automatically.  I had to manually connect the iPhone with the car.  Turns out there are two separate bluetooth pairings on my car: one for phone which allows up to 5 devices and one for audio which allows only one device.  So I did the second bluetooth pairing for the phone (had already done the audio), and that fixed it.  YMMV

  • Pictures hazy with flash on. (Faulty back cover?)

Hi, I recently bought an n900 and I'm having a problem with the camera.
With flash on the pictures I take are hazy on one side.  Now the funny part is if I take the WHOLE back cover off the picture (same conditions and with flash) comes out looking rather normal.
Here is a thread on maemo.org with people having the same issue.
Also it seems like not everyone has the issue....
    http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=36675&highlight=pictures+hazy
If you look on page 3 of the thread someone shows an example with his christmas tree.  He got a new phone and on page 4 he takes the same picture on his new phone with flash and with cover on and the problem is gone....
Obviously its not software related because taking the back cover off fixes the problem.
Is it a faulty back cover?  Faulty camera cover?  Assembled wrong?
Should I get my phone replaced no knowing for sure if it will even fix the problem? Does Nokia know about this issue?
Not sure what to do, any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

well thats what the guys in the maemo thread were thinking also.  It's actually on the right side when you are viewing the picture on the phone.

  • Adding Back cover and other images to iTunes ?

I would like to keep images of the back cover (and sometimes the liner notes) with my iTunes library. The current version 9.0.1 seems to only allow one image per song/album.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you...

I'm using iTunes 9.0.1 and I have no problem with adding an image to an individual song using the "Get Info" artwork pane. However, I cannot add additional images to multiple songs. Using the "Multiple Item Information" window to edit artwork will replace the current artwork with that being added.
If you are using the artwork/video viewer window in the left sidebar, songs with multiple images will have selection arrows at the top of the viewer window to toggle between images.

  • Nokia 2600 classic - how do I get the back cover o...

I have just bought my first mobile phone ever, so am a complete novice; I have tried to follow the instructions to press the release button and take off the back cover to fit the battery, but I cannot get the cover to open.
The main question is, am I trying to open the phone at the right end - i.e. if the phone is face down, the end nearest to the loudspeaker?
I am loathe to use an implement on the phone in case I damage the case.
Any advice would be very welcome - I feel so stupid!
    Thank you.

nothing to be ashamed of, we all have problems with certain phones sometimes.
the back cover of the 2600 is quite big and covers the whole back side plus sides of the phone that's why it's difficult sometimes to remove.
the release button is located at the top of the device , with the phone facing down press on that button, remeber that the body of the button is actually part of the body and not of the cover and so performs as a latch.
while pressing hard enough on that button you can fell that the button goes in enough distance to clear the whole thickness of the back cover plastic. Now wedge your finger nail between the cover and the body anywhere at the top of the device, that should give you enough lift to release the upper part of the cover.
pull up and slightly backward to release the lower part of the cover.
for a diagramtic representation , please take alook at your user manual, available here:
    nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/Nokia_2600_UG_EN.pdf .
