E72 Bugs on 0.91.003 Firmware

Hi @all,
last month I update my Nokia E-72 (RM-530)
One of the most things that I don´t like is,
on the today screen always after restart my phone there are 2 Appointments on the screen:
Email konfig Icon
and
Chat konfig icon.
If I select E-mail setup and choose the Option "hide E-Mail Setup" on next startuo the
icon appears again..
Any Idea how I prevent the today screen for this 2 two entries ?
(EMail is always configured, and Caht we don´t use at our company)

No many users can't upload firmware v21...
like me ( I have a Nokia N95-1 firmware v20.0.015 at 13-11-07 RM-159 Nokia N95(05.01) ).

you can't assign active notes to any of the one touch keys. you can assign other built-in apps or 3rd party apps you install but you just won't find active notes.

I have Active Notes (not just notes) on the right selection key of my E72 (s/w v. 052.05), and they _are_ on the list. Perhaps the upgrades are region-dependent - I waited quite a while for my update (Danish/Norwegian/Icelandic/English).
Sorry, but I daren't select another function and go back to see if I can select Active Notes again, but they _are_ there now, but were taken over from the previous s/w version in my backup.

The bugs of N95-1 firmware v.20.0.015:
(Software bugs)
1. After many times connect and disconnect jack 3.5 stereo cable or media cable a phone hangs or restart.
2. If run music player and call update library & switch to main menu, the music player hangs & close it's self after few seconds. After this hangs & self close no one music track can't be play. ( It's fixed after restart phone ).
3. Put to SD card to Music folder few files. Run the music player & update library - we have add new tracks to library. Exit from music player, remove music files that has been add to SD and run the music player again. Update library again - result 0 files add (it's right), but files that has been removed still in media library and do ways for clear library!
4. Turn the camera ring for run camera applicatio. The Camera application has runed. Make one foto using button on phone body. After shot we see the foto preview. Don't close application and turn back the camera ring - must be close camera application and preview - but preview has closed but camera application still runing and we see black screen ( because camera lense has closed).
( may be present any other bugs - i think bugs on N95-1 more that i print...)
IT's EXPECT NEW FIRMARE VERSION FOR N95-1 THEN WILL BE FIXED ALL!!!
And again about Hardware!
I state in Russia in Saint-Petersburg - it's big sity ( second after Moscow), but i run the GPS maps application or GPS-data, or Google Maps, & GPS receiver very poor take the satelites signals! I try run it's in difference locations & on open landscape & in vilage & on hi levels houses - but GPS try connection and get satelites information more that 30minutes and one or two times applications will taked information about one or two satelites no more ( on test positions has been connection to EDGE with 3G support and turn on A-GPS ) !!!
THAT's THIS??? NOKIA YOU MUST RESPONCE FOR YOU PRODUCTS AND THEN YOU APPROVE ABOUT THAT N95 CAN USING GPS NAVIGATION!!!
Also too very slow N95-1 work with SD card and other memory stores!!! It's very poor for Smartphone!!! No one devices not have so very poor transfer with memory store!!!

Possible bug with RV220W PPTP with firmware 1.0.1.0

I have a RV220W that I was running firmware 1.0.1.0 and I was having a very hard time getting the PPTP VPN to work on it so last night I did some testing
I downgraded to firmware 1.0.0.26 and did a factory reset and set up PPTP and tested and it worked.
I then restored my setting from a backup and tested and it worked
Then upgraded to 1.0.1.0, did a factory reset and tested and got disconnected from the VPN right away (no data in logs)
So in order to use PPTP I had to downgrade back to 1.0.0.26

Hi Guys,
A bug fix has gone into development, it is bug id CSCto08922. I wlll push it along on your behalf.    There is a wierd work around for the problem.
It involved doing the following;
step 1. Getting hold of beta firmware from Level 2 support by asking the SBSC technician to escalate the case .
    refer the good folk at the SBSC to this posting if you are having any trouble.
    I am happy for them to contact me. You will need Firmware version 1.0.2.1, BUT don't install it yet
step 2. The new beta code has a problem with configuration of the PPTP server, you can't see the PPTP setting, hey it's betacode.
Step 3. So, I made sure my RV220W is at the current generally available code version 1.0.0.26 so I could configure the pptp server options.
Step 4. unfortunately i had to altered my LAN network setting, as version 1.0.0.26 code does not allow you to have the PPTP range of addresses inside the existing LAN network.
So if you LAN address is 192.168.1.1 you will find you get a error if you try to set the PPTP address range to 192.168.1.X to 192.168.1.Y
My LAN network was going to be 192.168.20.X, but after factory reset the LAN reverted back to 192.168.1.1.
I set my PPTP server to allocate IP range 192.168.20.250 to 192.168.20.254.
Step 5 I added my five PPTP user accounts.
step 6. I altered the LAN IP of my router from 192.168.1.1 to my desired address of 192.168.20.1
Step 7. Then upgraded to beta code. version 1.0.2.1.
PPTP then worked like a dream - at last
There should be no difficulty getting hold of Beta code version 1.0.2.1, but your case may need to be escalated . The following URL had contact details for the SBSC.

Bug in 7.5.x firmware (SPA30X/SPA50X), lagged localization

Starting on idle display, the user can show line statuses using UP or DOWN arrow.
For example, Line Key 2 (defined as private, extension 1, Short Name 9876) show text

It seems that uninitialized pointer is used here in firmware (firmware before 7.5.x shows "READY" text only, no first line at all).
Also, the support for the new, digital, attendant console has been added in 7.5.2b (released July 2012). The "Att.Cons.Preferences" line has been added to main menu. But this text is not localized. Of course - newest avaiable dictionaries are 7.5.1 version. Even English dictionary, which require NO translation is not released for the current version (7.5.3) nor previous version (7.5.2b). Embedded dictionary is part of firmware, but unbundled version is required for volunters to create localized dictionaries.
Well, I can understand that "unsupported language" mean unsupported. But even German dictionaries are unavaiable two months past release of 7.5.2b ...

Engineering researched the issue and it is a bug (design error) that needs to be fixed. (The semi-colon should not be used as the delimiter of two report rules.) I will let you know when I have more information.
In the meantime, the documentation will be clarified with this information to show the current behavior:
Beginning with firmware version 7.5.2b, the IP phone has the capability to do a delta configuration report and a status report. The phone reports the status data if the [--status] keyword is defined.
Both the status report rule and configuration report rule can be configured in the parameter . These two report rules should be separated with a semi-colon.
If the [--status] keyword or the status report file path is missing, the phone will not report the status data.
For example, if the following is configured:

The phone will report the configuration data to
http://my_http_server/config-525.xml.
If the following is configured:
[--status]http://my_http_server/status-525.xml
The phone will report the status data to

[bug report] 1.0.3 firmware wipes out Thai font Display

I got 4th Gen iPod nano, with a fair Thai font display from 1.0 to 1.0.2
but after I tried to update a new firmware to 1.0.3 last night, it wipes away Thai font Display. All song and artist names in Thai are all gone and I have no choice but clean restore again to 1.0.3
The song and artist names are working after I freshly have a clean restore but, then, after try adding more songs, the Thai text display ability is all gone again.
Now I climb down and let it back downgrading to 1.0.2
Please let me know if this issue could be passed to iPod fireware development team

As Tom said, there is no menu languages option for Thai, but the iPod will do support Thai Display.
and it is now not working on 1.0.3
More info, I have discussed with other users in Thai forum, they also have the same problem just like me. They can solve this by reset the iPod, however, the bug will repeat every time if they add songs into iPod.
I'm not too sure this bug effects the other foreign language display so.

N79: Bugs from new 11.049 firmware updates

I open a new topic for everyone to post bugs after updating their N79 with 11.049 firmware:
1. In Photos - fonts appears Small even when font size is set to Large
2. Photos - Thumbnails appears to be pixelated. It sharpens up when you zoom in (even then it takes a while to appear sharp). Very noticeable with pics of alphabets or numbers. Turning the phone to landscape mode, the thumbnail pictures sharpens up immediately!

Reproducible bug in iPod Classic latest firmware, crash after Contacts

Reproducible bug:
You can't enter the contacts item on the iPod Classic 120gb with latest firmware (possibly affects newer iPods too), when you haven't synced any contacts..
However, if you put the contacts in the main menu (Settings -> Main Menu, then check 'Contacts'), you CAN enter it.. When exiting the Contacts menu (which says you have to sync contacts through itunes first) with the Menu button on the iPod, it instantly resets..
Reproduced a number of times..

Creative ZEN Mozaic EZ300 (firmware .04.02) BUG REPORT:
Bookmarks remembers only current track and position within it. Current list of tracks and position of current track within this list are ignored.
So opening of bookmark opens the list of one track (without previous and next tracks)
Pause + Shutdown doesn't remember position within the track.
So next turning on displays last track in the initial position.
(though Shutdown during playback works correctly)
My previous players was ZEN Nano Plus and ZEN Stone Plus with built-in speaker. I really enjoys them.
I have bought EZ300 thinking it will be even better.
Though impossibility of folder's navigation disappointment me deeply.
The last advantage of EZ300 was bookmarks. But they appears buggy... :-(

Two bug fixes in 1.03 firmware

It looks like the constant rebooting bug is fixed. I loaded something over with an equalizer set and nothing bad happened. The other more trivial bug fix is that world times now work properly if you are in a time zone where daylight savings time is set.
The bug where the date in the Date and Times settings always shows in US format is still there.

A bug in the MS 256 firmware

I've wrote to the MSI support the following info:
Mega Stick 256 usb 2.0 firmware 2.0.8
when a file in the "Voice" folder has the name "V999.wav" then only one new file
named "V.wav" can be recorded by mic and the file is overwrited every new
recording.
And the MSI support answer:

It's the system's limit ,for normal user ,about 200 to 300 folders are enough.
Please delete this error file through PC ,or save the file inside and format it to
clean up the disk

I think that it is more simpler to change the name of the file "V999.wav".
But it also means the player's dictaphone can't be operated without a computer because the number 999 will be reach very fast and will block recording possibility.

Because you didn't grant access permission to other users on the NESTED_TABLE_TYPE_NAME (maybe?)Of course, I remember to grant (EXECUTE) privilege on the nested table type to other users. The reason are not synonyms also, for Oracle doesn't allow to access these types through synonyms, unfortunately.
And the applications can be tons ;-), I use it to implement regular expression functionality in the databases prior to 9i.

Possible bug in 1.2.x firmware?

I have a 30 GB iPod Video, and since updating to Firmware version 1.2.0, and recently 1.2.1, the iPod stops charging once it is ejected.
Once the iPod is ejected it returns to the menu, and is useable, but no longer charges, even thought it is still connected via USB. I have 2 of these, the only difference is the other is formatted for my iMac, both running the same version of iTunes and same firmware on the iPod. The Mac formatted iPod does not have this issue, only the one formatted for Windows. Both systems are running the most current version of iTunes as well.
The iPod formatted for Windows is plugged directly into a USB port in the computer, not an external USB hub, and I have tried it on my workstation at work, running Windows 2000 and have the same issue.

This is a problem with Mozilla. evirtualmeeting.com applet is compatible with JRE 1.6 and above. Even if local machine has 1.5 and 1.6 both installed, mozilla still picks 1.5.
IE automatically picks the latest version.
Please remove the 1.5 and install 1.6. evirtualmeeting.com will work.
