E72-Cannot turn off wlan display

I have an E72-2 with F/W 31.023. The phone has been working very well until I recently performed a hard reset. After doing the reset (*#7370#) I have not been able to disable the Select Wlan network display. The display is popping up randomly and is getting VERY annoying.
I have gone into settings and set "show WLAN availability" to Never but the phone seems to just ignore the settings and keeps randomly displaying the select WLAN network notice.
I have tried hard resetting, soft resetting, pulling the battery for a period of time and even tried reloading the 31.023 firmware but nothing seems to be working to disable this annoying "feature".
Is there anything else I can do to turn this off? Any other suggestions? Third party app maybe that gives enough control over the wlan capability to disable It?
I really like this phone and keyboard, but I don't know how much longer I can put up with this random display. I hate having to keep hitting cancel, sometimes when I'm in the middle of something else.
Any suggestions appreciated.

This morning I did something that currently is working correctly
I started formatting the micro sd memory card, then did a hard reset on the phone
Then I installed the smart connect rom fix, rebooted the phone, installed smart connect downloaded from the official website and rebooted again.
Then I added operator´s access point and the access point of my wifi and then created with smart connect a group access point called as you like and included these two access points in Internet destiny. Priorities were the group access point first (my wifi + 3G), then my wifi and then the 3G point
Each application that connects to internet I assigned to Internet destiny or The group access point created with smart connect.
The other configuration we have the same things

This cannot be done. You should simply hide the display from others' view.
iPhone 5S allows you to use your fingerprint instead of the passcode.

Can I turn off my display while syncing?

I have an old laptop with usb 1.1 ports. Obviously syncing is extremely slow. If I want to load 12 GB worth of songs it can take hours. Does it harm or wear out the display or do I risk burning the image of the 'Sync in Progress' screen onto my display permanently if it takes eight hours to load that much data? Is there any way to turn off the display while syncing? Thanks

Wireless 3dTactic Rage - beeping sounds and cannot turn off . . .

For some weird reason i cannot turn off my headset anymore.
It doesn't work.
When i try, it simply looses connection with pc and reconnects. At least i'm guessing that's what's happening.
The USB transmitter is swithching between blinking and fixed light.
I've tried re-pairing it a few times now, that stops the connect/disconnect issue but i still can't turn off the power. . .
Unlike many others who are experiencing problems, i have NOT attempted to install any firmware updates, so i'm at a loss at what is happening here.
Any suggestions?

No. I would never take an iPhone to anyone other than Apple unless there was no alternative. You can get the display replaced on an iPhone 5 at most Apple stores for $149. If there's more damage, it will cost $229 for a full replacement. Both prices assuming you don't have AppleCare+.
As I said, taking it elsewhere forfeits your ability to ever get it serviced by Apple. Apple does not sell iPhone parts. There are no legitimate sources for iPhone parts. All the parts you will find are either salvaged from damaged phones or counterfeit.
If the phone is at all functional, you may be able to plug it into a computer and extract the photos and videos from the camera roll.

When sharing screen from work with my home computer, is there any way to turn off the display at home?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question, but when I'm viewing my desktop on the home computer from work (as in I've connected by finding my computer in the finder and hit the "Share Screen" button - is there any way to turn off the display at home? It seems a bit of a waste of power to have the screen on when I'm not actually there - I just need to be able to see all my programs etc on the remote screen in order to use them. My home computer is a 2011 iMac running latest Mountain Lion, work is a 2010 MacBook Pro.

I've set up another user on my home Mac and left that one logged in. Now when I connect from work it asks me if I want to share the screen or log on virtually as my user. I think choosing the second option doesn't power up the screen.

Windows 8 "Turn off the display" setting not working

Hi all, I've got a TP W520 which I upgraded to Windows 8 with all updated Lenovo packages including the power mgt driver, Lenovo settings dependency package, and the newly installed Lenovo settings metro app. I'm seeing the following problem when trying to set a time for the monitor to shut off under Control Panel -> Hardware and sound -> Power Options -> Edit plan settings: - If I set any time other than never for "Turn off the display" such as 1 hour for example, the monitor will get turned off as soon as the screen-saver launches from the Windows 8 Lock Screen. - I'm not seeing this same behavior if I let the screen-saver launch while sitting at the desktop screen, problem is only seen from the Windows 8 lock screen. You can test this as follows: - Set "Turn off display" to any time i.e. 30 min - Change your screen-saver to launch after 1 min to test this - Type ctrl-alt-del then click lock to enter the lock screen, then let the screen-saver activate after a minute. - Once the screen saver tries to start, in my case, I see the monitor getting turned off and the screen saver doesn't even start. The monitor shouldn't get turned off until 30 min elapses. I'm suspecting some kind of bug with this which is still outstanding and I look forward to feedback from others on this issue. Thanks, John

Yes, it is possible. On the right hand side of the player is the slider to turn on the player, push the slider upwards to the lock position and the screen will turn off. That is the Hold mode. At this mode, all the buttons would be inaccessible to prevent accidental pressing of the buttons. This is the mode to use when you are just playing music and do not need the display.
To unhold the player, just push the slider to the middle position and all the way down to turn it off.

Cant edit powersetting for laptop to turn off the display after .. when power is plugged in

I tried to set the setting on a laptop in our domain from "turn off the display after 5 minutes" to "never".
the button is greyed out.
I tried the advanced settings, even that won't work.
Os on the laptop is windows 8.1 Pro, the laptop is a member in a domain.
Anyone knows this issue?

Please check the policy Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Power Management\Video and Display Settings
(if deployed by a GPO created by server in a domain, then check Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\System\Power Management\Video and Display Settings)
in the right pane, find "Turn off the display (Plugged in)", check whether it is configured to a specific data.

It's up to the cellular carrier, but I believe most (if not all) will enqueue the messages when your iPhone is off.
So generally speaking, a few minutes after you turn your iPhone on, your messages should display. Similarly, your voicemails would arrive.

I cannot turn off the Ipod (when I click to the bottom ) anymore as following message appears:
"FireWire connections are not supported to transfer songs, connect to the USB cable provided"
Even resetting the Ipod the message appears again and again and I dont have the slightest idea what the IPOD is trying to tell me. I have regularly uploaded the songs via Itunes with the USB cable (Nothing else) and I use the official I-Fusion Sonic Impact to hear the songs in loud. Can there be the connection, because I remember that this message started appearing when the IPOD was connected to the I-Fusion.
In order to turn the IPOD I have to leave it on till it turns off due to battery deload...Very sad solution, isnt it?

It sounds like you have reached the authorization limit of 5 computers. So if you need to authorize another one, either deauthorize any other computers have authorized in the past that you still have physical access to or use the Deauthorize All option as described in this article.

Cannot turn off passcode after ios8 upgrade - iPad mini

Upgraded iPad mini to ios8 and cannot turn off the passcode. In settings, I can turn it off but it tells me that I need to set a passcode within 60 minutes. It then counts down and requires me to set a passcode once 60 minutes are up. Also does not let me change duration of passcode (from immediately to 4 hours for example). Any thoughts on how to turn it off? Thanks.

is this your iPad or one administered by someone else...for example if I use an iPad from work our IT policy dictates that I must use a passcode and I am not allowed to turn it off.
If it's yours, just a shot in the dark, do you have restrictions enabled? If so, go in and disable them then see if that will allow you to turn off the passcode lock.
