E72 - Cant view photos on memory card

Hey,
Any photos or backgrounds I put on my memory card are not viewable in the image gallery and If I move a image from the phone memory to my memory card in the image gallery It just disappears. I tested the memory card in another phone and it works fine. What am I doing wrong?

I face a similar problem. Heres the history.
There was a virus on my cell phone, because of which a folder by the name 'RECYCLER' appeared on my phone. I did a hard reset (Format). Since then, I believe the virus is gone (since I cant see the Recycler folder any more), but my images cant be viewed in the Gallery. If I use my phone in mass storage mode, I can see the pictures that I had taken. But they dont appear in my Gallery. Any ideas how to solve this problem.
Also, if I take my phone to a Nokia Service Center, can they format and reinstall the entire software, so that the phone is just like it was on the day I purchased it?

i have photos on my memory card but when i put it in my fone my photos dnt show up any ideas?
my tones on the memory card show up

You can not in iPhoto - it is NOT a photo viewer - it is a database program and ONLY works with photos that have been imported into it
Use a photo viewing program to view the photos where ever they are - preview should work if your camera mounts to the desktop - if it does not mount then you will have to import them either to iPhoto or to the desktop (use image capture) to view them at all

  • How to not delete photos on memory card once uploaded to iphoto??

    Hello!
I have checked the box that said DELETE PHOTOS ON MEMORY CARD ONCE UPLOADED ON IPHOTO, and I did check "don't ask me again"... and now I do not know how to undo this mistake I made.
    Please help?
    Thanks!!

What OS and version of iPhoto  --  prior to Lion
A good general step for strange issues is to renew the iPhoto preference file - quit iPhoto and go to "your user name" ==> library ==> preferences ==> com.apple.iPhoto.plist and trash it - launch iPhoto which creates a fresh new default preference file and reset any personal preferences you have changed and if you have moved the iPhoto library repoint to it. This may help
This does not affect your photos or any database information (keywords, faces, places, ratings, etc) in any way - they are stored in the iPhoto library - the iPhoto preference file simply controls how iPhoto works - which is why renewing it is a good first step.

  • During import Aperature wont show all photos on memory card.

During import Aperature wont show all photos on memory card. Typically loads the previews of the first 15 photos only showing "loading assets" and spinning wheel. Running Aperature 3.2.3 on MBP 2.16 core duo 2gb ram importing from a SD card reader contining approx 300 nikon d3100 NEF files. Created a new user account and new library with same results.

Could be the card.  Transfer the files to your HD using Finder, and then import into Aperture.  All OK?
Then reformat your card in your camera, and see if the problem recurs.  Also: does it happen with other cards?  Does it happen with the card in the camera (instead of in your card reader)?

How do you download photos ffom memory card tocomputer. When I insert the card the only destination for the photos is Snapfish. Does not  go directly to my photo files as my previous HP 209 photosmart...thanks, Mark

An easy solution would be to install Picasa 3. When you load the program, you can import.

  • How to upload photos from memory card to computer on new Officejet 8500A Plus?

I recently replaced an older HP psc 2410 photosmart printer with a new Officejet Pro 8500A Plus printer.  The installation went fine without error messages, and it prints, scans and copies just fine.  When I insert a memory card into the slot, the printer itself recognizes the files and displays them on the LCD screen and offers to print them.  BUT ... what I want to do is upload the files to my PC (running Windows XP), and I can't figure out how to do it!  There is no HP program that pops up and offers to transfer the photos like with my old printer.   I was also expecting to see the card slots shown as a removeable drive like I did with my old printer, but I don't see them.  Also, my Photoshop Elements program doesn't recognize the card slots either.
Then it dawned on me that my computer doesn't "see" the card slots because it's not connected directly to the printer!  I set this up as a wireless printer and I am totally new to this, so pardon if this is a dumb question... but is there no way to transfer files from the card slot to the PC in a wireless setup??  I'm totally confused...
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
If your printer is connected thru network or wireless network, you have to access it thru the IP address.
Find out the IP address of the printer. You can do this by clicking on the network icon on the front panel of your printer.
Open Windows explorer and type \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip address of the printer.
You'll see the memory card slot there.
You can do a "map network drive" to it if you want your printer card slot to be listed there permanently.

  • Uninstalling Watsapp seems to have corrupted my pics! Cant view pics on media Card...

OK, so watsapp went mental, despite doing several battery pulls it remained crazy. So, of course, the next step would be to delete and reinstall. So I deleted the app. I now find that I cannot open all the pictures on my media card :/ It takes ages to index and though the pics are definately there (file manager showing % of memory card free) I cant get to them. I cant pick up from the PC either - blackberry link isnt picking up anything on my card OR device...(however it HAS taken off 16 random pics and put into a folder in my documents; which incidentally, I cant seem to restore to my z10).
Now I know what you're thinking; memory card has somehow been corrupted right? Well...No because I can view ALL my videos, music and 352 pictures (about 510 are inaccessible). I know it cant be the card as the pictures i can see are a complete mix match of dates from 2009 to present but all randomly mixed up :/
I have re-installed watsapp and all convos have backed up...
I have the latest softwarre so its not that. I can access everything on the card from PC but cant get them over into the link :/ WHY did BB have to make it like it has? (If it aint broke dont fix it!) The software was ace, you could just drag and drop. There is no 'restore' option or anything on my BB link.
I am going to do the obvious - battery pull again. If no joy then rebook with no sim. Still no joy Reboot with no media card. I dont know what else to do.
If I format the card will I lose all the pictures on it? I cant backup to the link either - there is no option :/
    Can anyone help me? PLEASE

    Hey MissKitten,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
    Thanks for the question.
Just to clarify, you are not able to view the contents of the media card on your PC as well? (Not through BlackBerry Desktop Software but through My Computer).
I would suggest formatting the SD card, however formatting the SD card will erase all data.  So I would attempt to back it up if possible.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Automatically delete imported photos from memory card

I cant find this option anywhere, and with other photo management systems it's a fairly standard option, but how do you automatically delete the photos off the memory card once you have successfully imported them??

You don't. LR is conservative about destroying stuff, and wants you to put the card back into the camera to clear it.

  • Problem with E71 detecting photos in Memory card

    I have a Nokia E71.
I tried encrypting the memory card first. After this i could not access my data on the memory card hence I decided to decrypt it.
Everything on the memory card seems fine except that the Gallery is not recognising the photos on my memory card. I can access the data through the File Manager.
Have tried switching d phone On and Off several times but to no avail.
Even removed the memory card and re-inserted it but no use.
The songs are detected by the music player.
When i scan my memory of the card it shows used space but 0 bytes for Images, 0 for Sound files and 0 for Video files.
Also my Phone has slowed down since then. Some of the images are also corrupted
    Please help me ASAP!!!

Try to transfer your data to computer , recovering as much as possible , and then format the card

  • Move photos to memory card from mac

How do you move photos back to a memory card to use in digital photo frame?

Export the files from iPhoto (File -> Export) to a folder on the desktop, then drag that to the memory card.
Assuming you’re not using a Canon or some models of Kodak camera, your card will show up on the desktop as an external disk.
If it doesn’t, then your only option is to use a USB Card Reader.

  • Transfer photos to memory card

I have a 2GB memory card. I am trying to load it with 144 MB of photos. It accepted about half of the photos and now, after exporting the photos to my desktop and trying to copy them onto the memory card, I get the message: "cannot be copied because there is not enough free space."
Clearly it is lying, but I don't know what to do about it.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Memory cards are formatted for PCs, FAT 32, and as such do not allow many files in its root directory. The simple solution is to add all photos you want to a folder and put that folder on the memory card.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Cant view photos. Says they are corupt or too large

    HI.
I only recently purchased this laptop 1 year ago and I recently got married and have been given a USB with all of my phots on it. I cannot view them on my laptop. it comes up with photos are corrupt or damaged or too large. I can view them on my other computer I have at home with no problems and I can have the photos running in my background on my laptop but cant view them seperatly.
    Why????
    Thanks

It depends on the OS installed and the little extra programs needed for photo viewing.  What version Windows or other OS?

  • How do i import photos from memory card

I just bought a digital camera and apparently my battery died before I transferred the photos and now I can't.  I'm afraid I will lose the photos if I replace the battery to charge it and need to upload the photos but have no idea where I even find whatever this memory card reader is and can't find any info. Please help

Thanks,  Larry.  I was so dumb and scared because I had read something somewhere about some camera that said not to remove the battery before downloading photos.  I couldn't remember WHERE I had read it and was scoring my camera's  manual and my emails  to see where I had read that.  Finally found it last night and it was some piece of crap kiddie camera.  So I went ahead and charged the battery and was able to load my photos this a.m.  Thanks! I may be looking to you for more advice.     I was trying  to click on helpful  answer for you and gave myself one.  See why I need help?

  • How do I remove photos from memory card after I have uploaded photos?

We have iPhoto 11.  How do delete photos from a memory card after they have been uploaded in to iPhoto?
    Thanks.

    delete the iPhoto preference file
HOWEVER a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card --  I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos
If you continue letting the computer delete your photos you will lose them sooner or later
You pays your money and makes your choice - but you are playing a very risky game with no rewards
