E72: every single app is running

This morning a new issue has arises on my E72.
In the menu, every single app and subfolder is marked with the green running circle.
Of course none is running. Checking running apps only shows menu and standby.
Not a big issue and reboot fixes it, but still...

Got my E-72 about 3 month ago. What you'r discribing happened once to me about 1.5 month ago. After that it dit not happen anymore. Until now. Don't know  how it happened,

  • 4.3.5 for iPad crashes every single app

Just upgraded to 4.3.5 for iPad...every single app crashes when I launch it.  Tried hard reboot, tried resetting.  My last backup had been done with this upgrade somehow so I can't go back...any way to downgrade this useless software?  I need to get rid of 4.3.5!  It's evil!

There may be nothing wrong with it, but isn't it weird that I did a full reset twice and still had the same problem?  Or that you have to download a free app and run it before anything will work?  I've never had to do that with any other version personally.  Maybe that's a common thing but I've never heard of it.

  • Every single app on my Apple TV says "not available. Try again later" was watching it about 2-3 hours ago and it was working perfectly fine.

Every single app including the iTunes Store says "not available. Try again later" my Apple TV worked perfectly fine 2-3 hours ago. I've tried updating and it won't do that either. I've tried turning it off and it still didn't work.

    Try a restore.

  • When restore iPhone from backup, why it copying every single app

when restore iPhone from backup, why it is copying every single app from library? any way to restore whatever was backed up from iPhone?

How to restore from backup without sync all my apps? I recently upraded firmware to IOS 7, and then tried to restore from my privouse backup. But it everytime, when it's saying you are successfully restored. but I when I unlock my phone all app icon are dark gray color, means nothing restored and then itunes automactically copying all my app to iPhone like 100+ apps, I dont need all of them.
Again, How to restore from backup without sync all my apps?

  • Why ipad reloads every single app when syncing?

I've had a really annoying problem and I don't know why it's happening. My ipad has iCloud back up turned on, but if I connect to itunes to add a new app for example, when I press apply, iTunes resyncs every single app on my ipad which takes 2hours or more.
What on earth is going on here? It never used to happen before iTunes 10, can't tell you how annoying it is, as it means i cannot manage my apps manually anymore.
    Thanks

  • TS1702 what is the point of the Ipod touch(2nd generation)?Every single app Is not compatible with it.Seems like a complete ripoff to me.My phone was alot cheaper and does way more.Very frustrated with this device.

what is the point of the Ipod Touch(2nd generation)?Every single app is not compatible with it.Am I missing something? My cell phone cost 1/2 as much and does way more. This is why I don't normally purchase any apple products.Overpriced flashlight, that's about all it does.

There are still some apps compatible, with the 2G. Also, since September, Apple has now allowed download the last version of apps that were compatible with the 2G but have been updated to no longer be compatibles
To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app

  • Not a single app will run after updating to 5 (other than native apps)

I have just updated to iOS5 and of my 60+ non native apps (Navigo, Facebook etc) not a single one will run.
    Is anyone else experiencing?
    Thanks,
    Derek

Go to the app store and update all apps that are available for update.  There are several releases for iOS5.  Once I did this, all my apps started working again (even ones that didn't need updating).

  • Every single app on my Macbook won't open, even my system preferences. What do I do?

My Mac was working fine just a few hours ago, but I just opened it and non of my apps are working, so I restarted. After i logged in, I tried again and now non of the apps are even opening. Every time I try, a pop-up will appear and say I do not have permission to use the app. The icon that goes along with the pop-ups is the Parental Control icon. The pop-up gives me the choice to allow the app to run, but it requires the administrative password. When i put the password in (I double checked the name and the password) it says the password is wrong. So I looked through the mac help and it said to turn of Parental Controls in system preferences, but system preferences is an app, so it wont open. I am getting some tech support tomorrow but it would be nice to know at least what happened. Any ideas on what caused it? Or how to fix it?

Select  ▹ Force Quit... from the menu bar, then select Finder and press return. From the Finder menu bar, select Finder ▹ Preferences ▹ Advanced and uncheck the box labeled Empty Trash securely. Try again to empty the Trash. If you still have problems, follow the instructions in this support article:
You can't empty the Trash or move a file to the Trash

  • Every single app including iTunes, safari forces close after ten minutes of activity? I have closed all apps with minus button and still closes

Every app on my iPad force closes including safari, and iTunes, it seems ir forces close after fifteen minutes of opening the app or iPad apps. I have tried using the double click start button to close all running apps but it still force closes and I've noticed that when I reopen an app after it foreclosed I will get a black screen and will have to close open and close and open in order to get any app running again. I know you can't get a virus but I am wondering. I am hoping I won't have to reset and lose everything I have. My memory is too low for backup. But if I have to reset can someone tell me what the reset does and if backup would restore on the reset. Ive tried everything clearing cashe cookies, history. Please help this is very frustrating especially when your in the middle of writing a paper and it force closes on me. I have never hooked it to a pc so not sure i would get a virus and I haven't used iCloud. If you have any suggestions can you tell me exactly what I need to do to fix this. I don't have the money to call apple support, I am a nursing student. Thanks, Abby

  • Every jdk app I run responds with "Killed" and exits

We are having a very frustrating time dealing with an issue affecting every java or jdk application we run. We've tried upgrading to jdk 1.4.2-06 and 1.4.2-07 with no luck. Does anybody have any ideas what's going on or how I can fix this? This is very urgent to get this up and running on this server, so I really appreciate any prompt responses. Take a look, it's the craziest thing I've ever seen. And don't forget it was working fine until after we upgraded an email server which automatically upgraded other libraries in this system. I'm really not sure when this started happening so I'm not sure if the email server side effects had anything to do with this. This is happening for all versions of the jdk installed:

  • Clip looks different in every single editor/player? (Canon Vixia)

    Hi guys,
I have a new camcorder and am trying to understand how things work...
I recorded a short clip and then realized it looks notably different in every app I play it back in, even if they're all set to 100% zoom. While it doesn't look incredibly different, it does look noticeably different, even though one might've thought it should look exactly the same.
The clip was made with a Canon Vixia HF R300, which is capable of Full HD, but the clip used the camera's lowest AVCHD setting of 1440x1080 ("LP" mode). It's a small MTS clip of 69.4 MB for 82 seconds of video.
In DivX Plus Player 9.0.2, it makes a very crisp clean display of 1440x1080 (measured) - but it is also clearly stretched vertically; circles are ovals and people are tall and thin. It's not ridiculously stretched, but it's unmistakable, side by side to an unstretched version. I can't find a place where DivX says what it thinks the clip's properties are.
Despite the stretching, DivX clearly gave the best-looking replay. Very crisp looking.
Premier Elements 11 says the clip's Properties are 1440x1080 with pixel aspect ratio 1.33, but at "100% mag" it actually plays as 1920x1080 (?!) and it looks grainy. But it's not stretched vertically.
In Windows Media Player 11.0, it is blown up to approx 1832x1039 even when set to video size 100%. It says the clip's properties are 1440x1088 with Aspect Ratio 1.76:1(?!). It is a little grainy, but not stretched looking.
RealPlayer 16.0.2.32 won't give clip info (it's grayed out, for some reason), but at size 100% it has the oddest thing - a very clear border (within the full-screened player) of 1440x1080, and then the video itself is playing within this border, letterbox style, at 1440 by ~808. (That's an aspect ratio of ~1.78.) This replay was not as crisp as DivX, but was probably better than the other two.
So, every single player actually plays the same clip differently. One stretches it vertically, another letterboxes it, and the other two blow it up much larger than its original 1440x1080 - even though I set every single app to 100% magnification.
    What's going on here?
My theory is that perhaps the Canon used some funky way to achieve its lowest resolution AVCHD, and the various players don't know how to deal with it, and/or they have problematic / hidden / non-obvious defaults.
Possibly the camcorder actually made a 1440x808 clip, but in a 1440x1080 container. Look at how Real has an apparent aspect ratio of 1.78 - and that's what WMP says it was using, even though it didn't make sense given the dimensions. And, if DivX mistakenly stretched 1440x808 to 1440x1080... well, that's what DivX looked like.
Maybe both WMP and PE11 somehow converted it to 1920x1080... and in doing so, they did some things right, and others wrong. They correctly dropped the useless white space, if it's a 1440x808 in a 1440x1080 container. And correctly kept the proper 1.78 aspect ratio (the same as Full HD). But they incorrectly magnified it to 1920x1080.
Comments on the above... Does it sound like any of this could be possible? It's pretty amazing that a "simple setting" didn't translate to a SINGLE ONE of these popular video players/editors!
Thanks if you have the time to spare!!
    Mike

    Mike,
When you are dealing with 1440 x 1080 HD anamorphic 16:9, that frame size is stretched to 1920 x 1080 for display after encoding. So its playback on a player is often dependent on how well or poorly or if at all the player recognizes and/or has problems reading the 16;9 flag. On the other hand 1920 x 1080 16:9 has no flag. It is what it is 1920 x 1080 16:9 square pixels.
I suggest that you go by the book with regard to Premiere Elements project preset matching the properties of your source media. So, if you import this 1440 x 1080 HD anamorphic 16:9 into Premiere Elements, use the appropriate 1440 x 1080 HD anamorphic 16:9 project preset. However, when it comes time for export, then use one of the 1920 x 1080 16:9 exports so that you will not have to depend on your player reading a 16:9 flag.
The results that you report regarding your camera's video in various players seems to confirm what I have just tried to say. Unless you have a special reason why not to, shoot at the highest quality settings your camera has to offer. That will be a 1920 x 1080 16:9 setting.

  • Every single 3rd party App crashes

    Hello,
I'm running a 8gb EDGE 2.0.1 iphone. Every single 3rd party app crashes all of a sudden. I tried restore. all native apple apps load, but even when I just synce 1 3rd party app to the iphone (so all native iphone apps and 1 3rd party) that always crashes to iphone home screen.
I need to fix this because I need to use 3rd party apps like zenbe (which was working perfectly for me a week ago)

ok i had this same problem i called apple the guy i got new exactly what was happening and game me a work around. follow these steps exactly. this is a mac work around only dont know about windows.
1 make sure your phone is not connected to your computer.
2 delete every app directly from iphone by holding a app and then clicking the x
3 go to settings general reset and choose reset all settings
4 now on your computer open itunes on the menu bar go to store and deauthorize your computer
    5 quit itunes
6 reopen itunes and reauthorize the computer then exit itunes
7 open isync go to preferences and select reset sync history and exit isync
8 open itunes and connect your iphone. it may freeze itunes for 2-10 minutes but dont exit just
wait it will eventually recognize your iphone.
9 after itunes recognizes your iphone go to the music tab and select a small playlist to sync then got to the app tab and choose sync selected apps and if anything is selected deselect them.
10 if you have remote app select it if not download it for free and select it
11 then select two other apps and click apply
12 it will start to sync. it will say removing apps let it do this. depending on how many apps you have it could take a long time (mine took more than an hour)
13 if you get error 0xE800002E after you are done just repeat steps 1-8 it wont take long this time
14 if you dont get the error check to see if your remote works if it does check the other apps if they dont work repeat steps 1-8 if they do you are done just restart the iphone to make sure the still work
15 if you got the 0xE800002E error and have repeated 1-8 sync remote and two other apps and it should work if it does not try again it worked for me the first time though.
it is a long process but be patient and all will work out.
that is it until apple fixes this stupid issue which should never have gotten passed testing.
    hope this helps
if u need help or inform me of how it went u can email me at [email protected]

For the first time, I downloaded a podcast in the podcast app by clicking on the cloud icon. Now, every single play button for all of my podcast episodes is grayed out. Why can't I play any of my podcasts any more?

    Greetings Heather,
After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with the Podcasts app. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
    How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
