E72 Mail for Exchange calendar sync

I have problems with repeating calendar events.
Example:
I create event 1.6.2011, repeating every week for one year. I have set in phone to remove calendar events older than 3 week.
After 3 week from 1.6.2011 all events from that repeating meeting are deleted from phone, including events which are in future.
Does anyone has similar experiences?

Latest version for Nokia E72 is 83.003   or at least 071.004 depending on your region.
I suggest you update your phone since the version you are using have issues with Exchange 2010 server and does not support it properly
.   version 071.004 and above have support for Exchange 2010 
If you cant get this version I recommend that you contact a Nokia Care point and ask them to update your phone software

    I upgraded recently my N73 with the latest release of the firmware and the latest release of Mail For Exchange.
    Before that change, I had no problem to sync my mobile phone with our server Exchange 2007.
    Unfortunately, after the upgrades, like many other people of this forum, I cannot succeed in synchronizing my calendar (it seems that my mobile phone is stuck in the endless loop). I've tried the various solutions written in the other posts of this forum but without success (define an end-date of recurring events, no blank event, ...).
    Does anyone solved the issue ?

    Hi,
    I uninstalled the last release of MfE. I reinstalled an old version (2.05.003) and it worked immediately ! So many people are spending so much time with the last release trying to sync calendar... :-(

  • N9 Mail for Exchange: Calendar sync incomplete

    Hi all,
    I've set my N9 (64 GB, PR1.3) to sync with Outlook Exchange 2010. Everything used to work nicely, but recently I discovered that not all calendar entries are synced to my device. Some appointments that show up in Outlook (and on other devices I sync with that account) simply do not show up on my N9.
    So far I've tried deleting my MfE account on my N9 and the N9 account on the Exchange server and setting it all up again with a full new sync. Also I've played around with appointment details, but that doesn't make any difference.
    Any solutions? Help is much appreciated.

    are these items more than 39 days from the current date?
    if so, this is a bug that was introduced with pr1.3
    it is really bad too, if you ask me. Makes planning ahead very difficult without using your webcalendar or outlook to see it.
    you can enter the item in your n9, and you can still see it until you have a completed sync, then it disappears from your n9, but is still there. it will show up on your outlook. also, if you input it in outlook and you sync, it will show that you synced 1 item, but you will not be able to see it.
    i found out 39 days because i put in a new entry, numbered, for each day and that was the last day that i was able to see consistantly.
    if that is the case, then there is no way to fix it at the moment, but rest assured that you did not loose that appointment.

  • E60 Mail for Exchange Calendar Sync Issues

    Hello all,
    I'm able to sync my email, calendar and my contacts. However I've noticed that some of my calendar items have not been sync'd.
    For instance, I might have A, B, C, D as appointments in the same day and in that order. I'll only have appointments A, C, D display on my E60.
    Before anyone asks, I don't get any error messages and yes, I've checked the logs on the handset.
    Any ideas?

  • E52 Mail For Exchange Stopped Syncing

    I have an E52 (one week old).  Mail For Exchange was syncing well for mail, contacts and calendar with an Exchange Server 2007.  Sync over port 443 usual access point... No change on server. 
    Today my phone has stopped syncing. My admin log.txt files looked OK until yesterday afternoon then filled up with text just showing the settings. REstarted the phone, no luck and no additions to the admin logs...
    How do I do a full resync??
    Just done a hard reset and reset up the mail for exchange and everything syncs OK.. I see there is another post on the same subject.  When is Nokia going to look at this??

  • Looking for exchange calendar sync groupcal *****

    Looking for exchange calendar sync system to replace sucky groupcal.
    I've had nothing but problems with it. I get duplicate calendars, duplicate calendar entries, and the daemon stops updating from the
    then the support folks are threatening to cut off support and no longer help me to fix their broken code!
    I wasted money and so much time on this app, is there anything else out there that does a better job?

    Not to mention that it doesn't work with Leopard now! I wish there was a way to get my Exchange calendar to sync to a third party that would sync with iCal 3.0. Since there is not support for CalDAV it would be nice if Exchange would support this!

  • E72 Mail for Exchange problem

    On reaction of the thread of qazcorp (E72 mail for exchange) here a new request for myself...
    As in that thread I've found two users who have the same problem.
    Lost tekst when sending or forwarding email from the E72 by use of Mail for Exchange.
    So far I've tried...
    - Firmware update (no success)
    - New install of latest Firmware without backup (no success)
    - Tested same installation on a E71 (works fine)
    Other E72 or E71 users aren't having these problems.
    So far I'm guessing it's a software error, but the new installation without using a backup is contradicting that conclusion.
    Requested information so far...
    - They are both running an E72
    - Exchange 2003 SP2
    We configure the telephones to synchronise only the last two weeks. This results in: 100~200 mails on the phone.
    We synch using Vodafone-GPRS data-connection.
    Additional requested information will follow... (E72 Productcode, E72 Firmwareversion & Mail for Exchange version)

    Installed and configured Mail for Exchange on a Nokia E72 and everything is working except that calendar entries are being duplicated multiple times!?

  • N9 after PR 1.2 update - Mail for Exchange is sync...

    I have a problem with my N9 Meego after 1.2 update. I have mail for exchange account talking with exchange 2010 server and sync works just just fine with calendar and e-mail. Contacts on otherhand doens`t work. It says its bringing contact like 78 from mail for exchange but when its done you can`t see any.
    i have done my account again many times but still contacts aren`t working. Should I do some hardreset but does that uninstall PR 1.2 update?
    Help is needed or any ideas what could be done?

    Hey mate,  As far as I am aware there is no going back from PR 1.2, so you could try hardreset without concern of loosing this update.  Keep in mind you are likely to lose data, so make sure you back it up first.
    I am sure of this, as I have tried to go back to PR 1.1 to get my mail exchange to work and even with trying to flash the device "downgrade disallowed" comes up and prevents me getting rid of the PR 1.2
    You are luckier than me, I can't get mail, calender or contacts.  I am so annoyed that I accepted the update.  I am hoping that Nokia take note of this and fix the mail exchange in a new update

    Are you sure Hotmail marks your emails as read when you read them from your e72? I dont think so since hotmail is pop3 not imap.
    About mail for exchange, that the whole point to sync your mailbox on the fly. Try after you read a message to mark it as unread.

    I am new to the nokia family and I just acquired teh E-72, though it gives me some headache, I am not willing to give up on it just yet.
    When I set up my work email account (mail for exchange) and my personal (hotmail), it works fine, but I have noticed that if I read any message on my phone it marks as read on my computer, if I deleted any message, it deletes on the computer; this happens for both accounts (business and hotmail). Is this normal? I know that on a blackberry you have the option to sync everything you do on it with the computer/server, but you also have the option not to sync, therefore, anything you do on it will not reflect on your the computer/server. Is there such an option on the E72?

    As I can't seem to find anyone who is having this problem, I thought I'd start a new thread.
    We are running 5 E72s (T-Mobile UK customised firmware version 031.023), using Mail for Exchange with Exchange 2003 sp2. Since updating to 031.023 from 021.024 (022.007 wasn't realised for T-Mobile UK product code), Mail for Exchange has basically worked okay (finally!!), but we've noticed that it sometimes cuts off the ends of emails, which has a major negative business impact. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?
    In the meantime, we've switched to running Roadsync, which is less elegant (and much slower) than Mail for Exchange, but has the advantage of basically working.

    Dear all
    does anybody have solution for following issue:
    Mail for Exchange on E72 connected to Exchange 2007 server. Everything working fine (no problem to see Cyrillic letters in mails in both text and HTML mofe, when you writing new e-mail on cyrillic - no problems as well - BUT
    - when you are trying to reply to message with Win 1251 or KOI8-R encoding recipient has wrong codepage and message looks like ??????????? 
    could somebody help on this?

    this problem is most likely linked to the MS Exchange and not to  E72. We have the same problem with emails at work when emails sent using MS Exchange through a normal PC. Somehow it replaces Cyrillic with question marks. I never found out the reason for this. This only happens when an English version of MS Exchange is used ( i.e. a non-localised version).

    Running latest version (1.3), able to fully sync email and contacts, but it fails to sync calendar, with not so helpful message of error in commuincation.
    Any ideas?

    I hvae been fighting this Issue for some time now.
    I Have been runing the MfE on E50, E51, E65, E66 and N96 syncing towards an Exchange 2003 Std. with no problems Whatso ever... After upgrading to Exchange 2007 Std. Users are starting to experience the same Issue. Older Phones with old firmware and old MfE, are not affected... but the E51 fw 200 220 and 300 are having this issue..
    the problem is quite annoying because I weren´t having any problems on my N96, but then suddenly the calendar fails..
    TEmporary fix:
    1: disable calendar sync.
    2: do a sync.
    3: enable calendar sync.. (initial setting can be "keep items on phone" or "delete items on phone")
    then it will work for some time.. and then the problem will come back.-. (Frustrating!!)
    I have been e-mailing NOKIA denmark AND Finland but they seems to more interested in redirecting my calls to Voice response systems..
    And sending replies informing me that they REALLY DO CARE.. and Thait I´ll be contacted within 48 hrs..

  • Mail for Exchange - Calendar Alarms Problem

    Hi there,
    I have MfE working brilliantly, but there is one small issue that is bothering me.
    I also use PC Sync to syncronise with Outlook at home. Everything works fine, and I use Outlook at home to set up the majority of my appointments and these obviously get synced to my work exchange server.
    The issue is that if I have an alarm set on one of these appointments and I "Dismiss" it at work, MfE then effectively deletes the original appointment and creates a new one without an alarm; rather than just modifying the existing one.
    When I then syncronise at home it does the same and as the Nokia doesn't syncronise Categories I then lose my categories.
    I have a feeling it is to do with the "owner" of the appointment on Exchange as appointments syncronised are owned and organised by myself whereas ones created directly on Outlook at work don't specify an organiser or owner.
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    Any ideas?

    Thanks very much for your response, I am grateful for your time.
    I will describe how I use my phone so you should be able to better understand what I'm doing.
    I use PC Sync to syncronise my phone with my Personal laptop on which I generally manage my calendar but it is NOT connected to an exchange server at all.
    I use MfE to syncronise with the Exchange server at work as this is also required.
    It seems that whenever any change is made on Exchange to an appointment (whether it be to change the category or even cancel an alarm or add notes to the description) MfE cannot syncronise the item, but instead it deletes the original on the phone and then creates a new one.
    Now probably this would go unnoticed to most users, but PC Sync then does the same which causes me to lose my categories on Outlook on my Personal PC.
    It seems that MfE cannot modify appointments, but simply deletes any changed ones and replaces with server copies.
    Until recently I have used Sony Ericsson handsets and this set-up works flawlessly with these.
    I have tried using RoadSync and this simply modifies the entries where there are changes rather than deleting and re-creating (but it is very resource-hungry). So it appears to be a flaw in MfE's implementation of syncronisation.
