E72 Optical Key seems to make the Music Player use...
... given that if you go anywhere near it, it jumps towards the start of the track. However, if you disable it, then you can't focus the camera. Any workarounds?
And while we're on the topic of the Music Player, I find it pretty bad that you can't exit out of the application and then have it pick up playing where you left off. I don't mean let it keep going in the background - I mean actually leave the Music Player. This seems like pretty basic functionality. Makes listening to podcasts on the phone very tedious. Am I missing something? Is there a way to pick up where you left off?
I suppose I've been spoilt by having a previous phone with dedicated music player buttons. I wish there was a way to have this on the E72 although I realise that media playing isn't the focus of the phone.
As for autofocus with the optical key off - I know that you can still take the photo, but you can't pre-focus and then decide not to take the photo at all. Maybe not a biggie but still an annoyance.
Sometimes the optical key creates more problems than it solves. As I've said in another post, I'm pretty sure it's responsible for moving the cursor in Maps without any input at all.

I have a problem with Safari in IOS 8 on my iPad 3. The bookmarks take up a third of the screen and I can't seem to make the bookmarks disappear until I need them. The useful part of the screen is therefore very small. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.
OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
Switching it on had no effect
resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
On IOS 7 no problems
The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options -
Is there a way to make the music that plays on my iPhone 5 sound like it does on iTunes?
I notices that the music that is played on iTunes sounds a lot clearer than it does when I listen to my music on my iPhone. Is there any way to make the music on my iPhone sound more clear?

For photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer. -

Your question is almost too much a personal one, begging the question "do we (husband and wife) feel comfy sharing one account on the Mac" maybe thats why nobody answered you.
It doesnt complicate anything, but it adds steps for switching accounts on the Mac/ purchases etc. of course
since your question is mostly personal, ..I wont answer THAT part of it, but creating a new account is easy.....messing with switching back and forth is also a personal preference 'issue' as well. I prefer to keep things simple, but...........you and yours, I dont know.......

I am trying to sync my music library to my new iPhone 5C and cannot seem to get the music to sync. It is in the library but isn't going over to my phone.

How can I stop my iPhone 5 from starting the music player randomly on its own?
I have an iPhone 5 running the latest version of iOS. Sometime last year (maybe shortly after I originally upgraded to iOS 7), the phone developed a nasty habit of starting up the music player during phone conversations when I connected to my Mazda's Bluetooth system. Oddly enough, I can hear the music playing over the phone conversation but the person on the other end of the phone line can't. To stop the music, I have to open the Music App and then close the App. Note that the Music App did NOT have to be previously open for the music to start, and the Music App doesn't usually show as an open App even after the music starts on its own. The problem has persisted through the last few iOS updates and it now happens in a broader range of circumstances (e.g., I have told the iPhone to forget the Mazda adapter, and it now does the same thing with my Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset). I usually have to go through this sequence at least twice per Bluetooth pairing session before the phone stops trying to start the music player on its own during phone calls.
The problem went away temporarily when I did a full reset of the phone, but it came back after a few days (even when I added apps & music back without restoring from an iOS backup).
Has anyone found a way to fix this problem once and for all? If I can find a fix, it's enough of an annoyance that it might convince me to go Android with my next phone. Thanks in advance...I've tried syncing with itunes and icloud. The missing contacts are nowhere to be found. I just re-enter them on my iphone and proceed on my not so merry way. Next time I look for a contact, it might be there or it might not. It is not necessarily the same contact. It appears that my oldest contacts seem to be the ones disappearing

The music player only shows all the album covers but doesn't play the video. Only in portait mode it plays the video in a very small window. Makes no sense at all, worked perfectly in iOS6.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings -
Not see the background images in the music player

Well I'll try to explain my problem in my best english
I have an Ipod Touch 1G (Ver: 2.1), a MacBook (Mac OSX 1.5.5) and the latest itunes avaliable for donwload.
The problem I have is that spent a lot of time adding an image to every song that I have in my music library but when I upload to the ipod it isn't shown in the music player.
I try this things:
- Reupload the song with de image
- Asing an image over a song which already on the ipod yet
- Using another PC with Windows XP and the latest version of itunes
- Using different images for the same song, trying first one and then another one
Some songs have an image but I think that songs are there long time ago.
I hope I can explain my problem. Could you help me?

I can see the album art in the itunes if I go to get information about the file there is it (I´m trying now in windows becouse I don't have here the MacBook)
I manually manage music so I uploaded one file which I can see their album art in itunes but when i play it in the iPod it doesn't show me the album art
Later I try to open the file in the ipod from itunes and I can see the image as in my computer.
I have apple care for the macbook but it seems a problem with the ipod. Don't you think?

When i "Refresh Music Library" the music player is...

I tried to transfer some music with the Nokia Music Manager to the phone, and from some reason the transferring is stopped, and i have got a failure message. After i tried to refreshing the music library on my phone and when i do this, the music player is switching off everytime. I can not delete now, the bad musics from the phone, and i cant open a "Now playing" folder and i have got a little symbol above the music title. This is a playlist symbol with a key.

If i loading back the original files,(which were in the damaged track list) in this case it is opening the old tracklist and playing this files. Not any other. If i give any more music to this tracklist, it doesnt matter, it is playing just the original 51 piece mp3, which are in the damaged list. If any file missing from this list, it is just jumping to the neyt track.
Im an IT programmer and i never ever have seen the same symptomes.:?!

The Podcast App is terrible. It can't seem to keep track to what has or has not been listened to, it randomly restarts after pauses. I never had to use the App until this last upgrade and now I'm forced to. I would like to go back to listening to podcasts through the music player. Is that possible?

Installed OS6, and the music player stops when opening the web browser...
I downloaded and installed OS6 on my iPhone 4 last Thursday. It seemed to be working fine, and then at the gym while listening to music, the player kept stopping whenever I opened Safari. When I got home, I backed up and reinstalled the operating system. It seemed to be fine, but then today, the same issue reappeared. Has anyone had issues with the music player crashing when opening Safari or other apps on OS6
Hmm, looks like launching iBooks shuts down any background audio. Once iBooks is running however you can switch apps, restart the audio and return to iBooks. Provided you don't open a multimedia book like the Beatles Yellow Submarine freebie then you can read without disrupting the audio playback.
I've tried choosing different titles in iBooks, or just the library, then quitting the app, running some audio and starting iBooks again. It repeatedly pauses audio even when iBooks doesn't have any immediate use for the audio channel. As long as you don't actively shut down the iBooks app however you can choose some music as background when you are reading.

How can I close the music player?

I just bought an iPod nano 6G, and this is my firs Apple product.
Anyway, there is something that is bottering me. I use the iPod as a watch, and sometimes I use as music player. After I'm done listening to music and want to use the iPod JUST as a watch, when I press the Wake button, to visualize the hours, it shows the music player. And there is this 'pause' icon in the top bar.
Isn't there a way to close this player???

Again, others have synced their iPod with iTunes after making sure this setting was On and it worked from there. Is your Nano running the 1.2 firmware?

Has anyone had issues with failure of the music player to launch after updating to OS5? My Gen 3 will no longer play music!
I think a few have.
Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod. -

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. USe your backup copy to put everything on the new computer, then sync.
