E72 Problems

Have the following problems on my E72:
1. Often people can't hear what I'm saying clearly - this happens intermittently during a conversation. Don't seem to have this problem on my other mobile when I insert the same sim.
2. Phone often hangs and I have to restart.
Phone is no longer in warranty. I have all the latest software updates. Anything I can do to solve this, or should I just trade it in for a blackberry? I bought Nokia because it is typically very reliable, but apparently not.

Could be from the network carrier too.

E72 problem to activate silent mode with 031.023

now it is very difficult to activate silent mode with the ctrl key !

I think this is not a bug, but a fix. In the previous FW it was TOO easy to switch to Silent mode and that would happen quite often by mistake (at least to me).
So I think that Nokia corrected this problem, but did not communicate properly with their customers....

Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-105 E72 problem

I have a problem conecting my E72 with this device. My last nokia was a 6680 and just worked perfectly with this device.
With my E72, the telephone simply just don't find the device with the bluetooth turned on and i could not connect the telephone.
I have the latest firmware downloaded from nokia website.

I have an E72 and a BH-102 and every once in a while it will not pick it up. I just go to the bluetooth menu and choose connect to audio device.
Have you tried "New paired" device?

Nokia E72 - Problem with Lotus Traveler 8.5.1.3

I have 2 Nokia E72 correctly configured with Lotus Traveler that don't send outgoing the email...
This is my test and configuration:
a) Scenario with emails/calendar without contacts to sync
The devices work perfectly without contacts... ( I receive the emails, and I can send the email, and I can manage the calendar)
b) After that I sync my 5700 contacts from my Notes Address Book ( are them too much for my device?)
- First Device - The device don't sync all contacts and I can't send out my email
- Second Device - The device sync all contacts and I can't send out y email
In both case the email go into local OutGoing folder...and don't send to the server...
There are some problem with 5k of contacts on Nokia E72?
In the Nokia E71 all work correctly ....

So why don't you try to sync less contacts, and to see then, whether the problem is solved ?
Then it already helps you to identify whether or not the issue is related to the number of contacts...

Gmail and Google Apps sync with E72 - problem upda...

On my E72 I have set up two mailaccounts: My private Gmail account and my workmail which is a google apps account. Both work great and I have no problem recieving or sending mails.
My problem is that the inboxes on my phone do not update: When I recieve a new mail in either mailbox and read this mail on my computer, the same email is still unread on my phone.
Why is this, and how do I make my phone update properly?

I forgot to write that if I read an email on my phone it actually eventually shows as read on my computer, which makes this even more puzzling...!

E72 - problem with Office Communicator Mobile

Has anyone successfully used the new native OCS client for the E72? Mine won't connect to the OCS server with a not very helpful "-20" error message. I've looked at the details in the McsService0.log file but nothing obviously wrong jumps out.

I have managed to install and use the communicator OCS on E72, using the CWA R2. It worked for 2 days. Pretty well though, from internal and outside networks.
However, i now have the connection error #39 (from the logs: Error McsTransport: internal error (Synch), error=-39). No way to make it work, have tried uninstall/re-install, different networks (WiFi internal, external, 3G)...
And i see the traffic going through the CWA!

E72 problems after hard reset

Hello...
I recently had to reset my phone because an app wouldn't install properly, and couldn't be uninstalled to allow another try.
I chose to do a hard reset (holding the keys on startup), and now I'm adding all my apps and games back on. Half of the games fail to install (Ferrari GT, Ferrari GT2, Rally Championship), and the other half install OK (micro pool, Par 72 golf).
I tried installing QT 4.6.3, in case that was missing, but that didn't help (maybe I didn't install all needed components?)
Any suggestions?

Whilst applications should have a SmartInstaller to ensure that this doesn't happen, Viber is one such application that springs to mind requiring manual installation of QT_installer_4.6.3.sis (~11.5MB) with solution in my post here:

E72 problem with WLAN

Dear all,
is one week that I'm playing with my new E72 but I'm little bit puzzled about the usage of wlan connection.
At home I have an unprotected wlan then I have configured with the wlan wizard the internet access point of my wlan and I have included the wlan profile in both internet and WAP destination and in both case with priority 1.
What I have to do in order to allow the OVI store and the browser to use the wlan instead of WAP even if the wlan is available?

Whilst in Web application once page is opened go to Options > scroll down off screen to "Settings" > General > Access point > Change and you can re-affirm your choice of access point.

Nokia e72 problem

hello sir,
this is vijay i had an nokia e72 phone, few days back i had hard formated my cell bye pressing the code capslock,space and backspace key, after that when i switch on the cell it ask for lock code, and when i put the lock code in it i.e..12345(default code) it shows code error so can u plsss help me out.

The default lock code not working probably means it was previously changed by you or someone else. Unfortunately the code can only be reset by a Nokia Care Point, so you should bring it to your local care point and bring proof of purchase with you.

Nokia E72 Problems with Ovi Apps

Why isnt there more apps for the Nokia E71 - 72 phone.
I keep downloading apps only to find they say they are not compatable with my phone... please help how do I get round this

E72:Problems after trying to send 2 MB attachment ...

I was trying to send 2 pictures(total size abt 2MB) as an email attachment using my IMAP mailbox and mail reached outbox, but it never sent out. Since this attempt my mailbox behaves wierdly and does not sync emails properly. So I removed the mailbox and I set it up again. Still there are few issues with sync but atleast emails are coming & going.
Also I tried again to send a very small size file as an attachment but in the compose email screen when I do attach the file, nothing happens and it automatically comes out of the mailbox. The email is saved in drafts folder with no attachment . can someone confirm if attachments are support by E72 email client ?
I am on 031.023 FW and I have set up email using 'Other' option in the Set Email wizard.

My experience with the E72 that it's not an e-mail wonder.
Sending mail can be very slow.

E72 problems with contacs key

When I push this key longer, it does not open "add new contact", just it goes to contacs and then I have to open the menu again to add a new contact.
Does anybody else the same problem???

A known issue, I myself experience it, and re-starting, re-setting doesn't solve. I think Nokia has taken note...

E72, problems connecting to WLAN

I have wireless network at work and have tried to connect my phone to the network without success. After following the procedure it displays the error message "server name invalid".

ask ur IT person to put IP address into the wifi access point.
menu>control panel>settings>connection>destinations>internet>select ur access point wifi>
option advance setting>ipv4>put the IP addess.

E72 does not sync all of the memo field in an outl...

I was called at a customer last week to solve a Nokia e72 problem: when syncing with outlook, only part of the memo content of the outlook contact fields was synced.There was also no way telling which part would be synced: could be some piece from right in the middle.Can anybody tell me if there are limits to the memo field in the contacts on an E72, so that it prevents total syncing?

Well, I guess I have to download some other software to make my apple product work. Really great stuff you guys sell. I will never buy another apple product. My Iphone, Ipod and Itunes are junk

E72 & VoIP Auto-Reconnect

I have successfully setup my E72 for SIP calls and it works very well for the most part.
There is one problem however that means it is very annoying to use.
The problem is that whenever I move out of a WiFi area and therefore get disconnected from the SIP server, the phone doesn't automatically reconnect to the SIP server when I get back in range of a WiFI area.
At the moment I therefore have to restart the phone every time I return to a WiFi enabled area to force the phone to reconnect the SIP server. The problem is not with WIFI - this reconnects fine when back in range automaitcally, it is just the SIP server that doesn't auto-reconnect.
Is there any way to force the phone to reconnect to SIP after disconnection without rebooting it every time please?
PS I have also tried setting SIP to work over 3G. This works fine but I then get the same problem when I leave a 3G signal area!

paulbula, I noticed the same problem on my e72. Yes, I can confirm e72 does not reconnect on wifi.
You also write that you have the same problem on 3G i.e. your e72 does not reconnect to sip server automatically. Well, my e72 does reconnect but the problem is that it needs too much time to reconnect which is very anoying and makes normal nokia sip calling via 3G impossible while walking, driving or when calling in bad network coverage. When I use nokia sip on my nokia n95 8GB I do not have this annoying 3G reconnect problem so this is a e72 problem which needs to be fixed by nokia!
