E75 firmware 201.12.01 FM RDS problem!!!

Recently i have updated e75 firmware v201.12.01.After updating this firmware FM RDS is not working. My previous firmware v110.48.125 FM RDS was working properly.I also hard reset my phone. But it is not working.......

Hi,
I have same problem! After updating to 201.12.01, RDS is not working. Although the "RDS" and "AF" icons are active, I can't see name of the radio station. Nevertheless in the previous firmware, RDS was working properly.
Does anybody have this problem too?
Thanks,
Petr.

  • Nokia Maps 3.0 crash bug with E75 firmware 201.12....

    Phone: E75-1 / Type RM-412
    Firmware: 201.12.01
    Nokia Maps 3.0
I haven't seen this reported anywhere... but then again maybe I don't master the advanced search so well, apologies if this is a duplicate.
Nokia Maps crashes my phone when launching it.
The phone just switches itself off after the app opens (and shows me a map with a red dot on it) .
I haven't done anything to the phone apart from upgrading the firmware in the past few weeks, and after fiddling with the options, I discovered that the crash is due to an option that is active by default under Positioningmethods: Network based.
Disabling it makes everything go back to normal.
I don't remember this option from  the previous firmware version at all? Is there an update to Nokia Maps that I have missed? (the beta labs version isn't available for this device)

    Hi mika123
There have always been four available options in Positioning Method: Bluetooth GPS, Assisted GPS, Integrated GPS and Network GPS of which the latter three are ticked by default.
Surprised that Network GPS causes issues as is just using triangulation from cell towers but in case of some network providers packets of data do have to be sent and received.

  • E75 version 201.12.01 Outlook Webaccess requires N...

hello, I have a strange problem. When opening a OWA (outlook web access site, https) with the browser, it my E75 (or better the browser) requires a NTLM authentification. Before the firmware update that behavior was different. In the "good old days" just username and password were enough. This is definetely related to the firmware update on my E75, because it started the minute after the update was installed.
Question, do I miss any settings? Is there a detailed changelog for the changes within the browser based on version 201.12.01?
Any help apreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Alph

I think it comes down to the same thing. You need a username and a password.

  • I know how to fix the iTunes 7 / firmware ver. 1.2 freeze problem

Many of you (like me) are having major headaches because of the new updates that Apple has been releasing (i.e. iTunes 7). So far I only know that this affects the Video iPod, but this could very well fix other models too.
Here are some symptoms of what the following will fix, and what you most likely have already done to try and fix it.
    - iPod keeps freezing after a few seconds ever since you updated to iTunes 7 and/or iPod software ver. 1.2.
    - iPod will remain in Do Not Disconnect mode even after ejecting or disconnecting
    - A forced reset does not fix it, as it repeats the above.
    - Restoring the iPod through iTunes does not help
    So, here's what to do.
The old iPod updater software is how you will fix all of this. Unfortunately, because iTunes 7 thinks that it's better and more up to date, it will prevent you from opening the old version of the software if you still have it on your machine.
So first of all, uninstall iTunes 7.0. (You do not have to remove your library information, just the software.) Restart the computer.
If you still have the old iPod updater, try it and see if it runs. If it does, read on. If not, skip to the next paragraph. So, if it does run, simply hit Restore and you can go back to a previous version of the firmware. I believe that Apple discontinued the firmware page since releasing iTunes 7. Look around some search engines like Google if you really want the latest firmware.
Take out the installation CD that came with your iPod. Run it and it should install the old iPod updater along with iTunes 6.x. iTunes 6.x cannot run since iTunes 7 changed your libary's formatting, but that will not be a problem. Run the Restore process in the old updater and it should be alright for you to start loading your stuff on again without problems.
Since iTunes 7 reformatted your libary listing, iTunes 6 will no longer work. However, you can still use it by reinstalling iTunes 7. Just make sure you do the following.
TO KEEP THE SAME THING FROM HAPPENING AGAIN
iTunes 7 is actually alright. It's the updater part of it that will screw up your iPod.
    - iTunes 7 will tell you that a new iPod software version is available when you open it.
    - Check the "Never Ask Again" box and click Don't Install.
    - When you sync your iPod to your computer, NEVER touch the Version section when you're changing your iPod's settings. Everything else is alright to work with.
    - Everything will work fine as long as you never update the iPod's software via iTunes, at least until the programmers can fix this issue in a later release or patch.
I hope this helps out a lot of you. Pretty lame of Apple to miss something this big during debugging.
    Custom Windows XP

Listen to this person, he knows exactly what he's talking about. My unit had the freezing problem, the visual artifact problem, and eventually would only show a blank white screen after I had tinkered too long. Luckily I have another computer that I hadn't yet upgraded to itunes 7 and it had the last firmware upgrade before the itunes 7 one. From disk mode I was able to restore it to the previous firmware version, and now the ipod works perfectly.
I too am almost disqusted with Apple for 1) missing this problem and 2) not letting people know!
I wonder how many more people are going to have lots of problems so apple can protect their PR.
Anyways, what would be really helpful would be if someone could upgrade the latest firmware installer before itunes 7 (it's an individual ipod updating program, not itunes 6.xx)somewhere on the internet so users could download it and do away with this evil 1.2 firmware.

  • E75 Firmware update not found

My E75 is currently installed with the 100.48.78 version.
When I check this site using my productcode it now says that the 110.xxxxx is available.
However, when using the phone the SW-"search" (my phone is in danish and I don't know the english word for the application) teels there's an update available. BUT if I go to the devicemanagement to try and do an update it teels me after connecting to Nokia that there are no available updates ?!?!?!?!?!?!?
My product code is 0582105 if that helps
I hope that someone can help me.
    Best regards, Peter

     Hi All,
I'm hoping i may be able to help some of you.
I've been trying to fix this problem on my Directors phones for sometime now. They had the problem where by they would try to forward or reply to an email, it would say 'queued for sending' in the outbox then it would never send! I went through the process of trying to get a software upgrade through the PC suite and FOTA but with no avail, there is no software update for these UK phones (even if Nokia tell you, which is what they told me)
In the end i managed to fix this by getting the original configurations setting sent to the phone. This is basically when you get a new phone your service provider will send you congfiguration setting to save onto your phone so things such as WAP, emails, MMS work properly. Got them sent, saved them, phone works perfect.
02 for example, send the word ACTIVE to 2020 and you'll recieve the settings!
Hope this helps at least someone!

  • Updating Broadcom BCM43XX firmware on MacBookPro10,x (tar.gz problem)

I'm attempting to install Arch Linux onto a MacBookPro10,x using the wiki guide along with the beginner's guide. I'm using the method for installing detailed on the USB Flash Installation Media page. I've partitioned the drive, made the basic directories, and mounted all in the usual way. I need to connect to the internet to continue with the installation and to do so the firmware for the Broadcom BCM43XX driver needs to be changed to the package provided in the AUR. This package is in tar.gz format.
    I attempted to use:
    root@archiso /usr/bin/WirelessFirmware # tar -zxf b43-firmware.tar.gz
to extract the file. This results in:
[ 1818.305115] SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block 0xd248f70
[ 1818.311499] SQUASHFS error: Unable to read data cache entry [d248f70]
    etc. and
    zsh: Input/output error: tar
    Using
    makepkg -si
results in the same type of errors with the addition of
==> ERROR: PKGBUILD does not exist.
I assume there are unavailable dependencies for the tar.gz file. It also seems that the tools necessary to extract the tar.gz file are not working correctly or are unavailable. What are the next steps I should take to get the new firmware package installed and get an internet connection?
Also, I'm very sorry if this question has been asked before or if there is a page about this specifically on the wiki; I did try searching for the information before posting here. I also apologize if my question text was not formatted according to the proper conventions. I have read through the forum etiquette page, but please correct me if I've missed something.

I had this problem while installing on an Intel NUC.  It turned out the two RAM modules I put in didn't like each other at all, so they would throw all kinds of errors.  So it resulted in basically acting as though the RAM was bad.  Individually the RAM works fine though.  So maybe you should run memtest86+ to make sure your RAM is okay.

  • Nokia E71 firmware upgrade to 210.21.006 problems

I have just upgraded my firmware to the above version and now have the following problems; 1) the phone freezes 2) I cannot end an active call by pressing the red button but have to go to the menu and choose end active call. 3) the right soft key doesn't work in several apps. 4) the camera is now very slow to save image and yet again the right softkey (back) won't work and you have to press the home key and restart the camera between pictures.5) the phone has reset itself 7 times since the upgrade, during calls, internet or just on standby.                                                                    Has anyone else upgraded and had the smae problems? the phone was fine before the upgrade and i only did the upgrade as it was supposed to have improved the camera and the audio quality. I have just re-installed the update to see if this amkes a difference. Here's hoping.

It’s now over 24 hours since I emailed Nokia and I haven't received a reply yet, not even an acknowledgement of the email. I think if I haven’t received a positive reply by Friday everyone that has problems should send a blanket email to Nokia (all sections of support) and see if they reply.
It would appear that Nokia are concerned with quantity of sales rather than quality of product and services
    .I will post any response

  • Firmware Update on N82 - Software Updater Problem

    Hi
This is my fisrt post to this forum but I have read a fair bit of the information already posted.
I realise this question is asked frequently, but my problem seems to be a little different. Phone is N82 with V11 firmware and it is unbranded. Nokia site indicates V30 firmware available.
Have loaded latest versions of Nokia PC Suite and Software Updater (several times!!).
Software suite works OK for Map and Music stuff. But when I try to load the Software Updater software, the installation goes through the first stage OK and always hangs on the configuration stage. There is no Windows error message.
I have to go into Windows Task Manager to kill the Software Updater application and then the PC will not shut down properly until I kill the nsl_host_process.exe application, - so this seems to be related to the problem.
I am using Win XP SP2 (German) and have tried both the English and German versions of PC Suite and Software Updater, but problem is always the same.
I have no Virus Checker or Firewall operating (except a Firewall on the Router, which I think will not affect this file). Internet connection and downloading are fine for all other operations.
(I have tried to use another PC (Thinkpad) but unfortunately the Software Updater will not install here because in needs 256MB free RAM Memory.
So, I am stuck at present, unless any of you knowledgeable folks have any ideas!
    Thanks
    Stonefish28

  • Firmware 2.1 update causes GPS problems (Confirmed)

I bought 2 iphone 3g's, one for me and one for the wife. We both use the GPS alot and was happy with the performance. When ver. 2.1 became available we upgraded immediately and did not pay much attention to GPS performance, we were looking at battery life and 3G signal strength. I soon began to notice the GPS was not as solid as before and compared with the wife's and saw that her's was about the same so I left it alone. Then I noticed my wife's GPS was having big tracking problems while comparing with mine right next to it. So I did a restore on her's without restoring from backup. In essence her's had only ver. 2.1 on it. This did not help and was becoming very frustrated so I went to my Apple store and explained the issue and they decided to give her a new phone. The new phone had ver. 2.02 and I decided to try it without updating to 2.1. LET ME TELL YOU, the GPS is now solid and super accurate, side by side with my phone with 2.1 there is no comparison. After playing around with both phones for a day THERE WAS NO DOUBT THAT 2.1 WAS THE CAUSE. I headed back to the store and explained the whole story to them and they swapped mine in order to get a phone with 2.02 (which I did). My phone is now holding a solid signal and VERY accurate all the time. Side by side comparison shows absolutely no difference in position now. Spot on every time.
I know this is a long winded post, but the proof is in the firmware update. We will not update to 2.1 and will pray that 2.2 fixes this.
    Thanks,
    John

    Hey Florida...
Just for grins, try switching off WiFi.
I've noticed that having wifi on slows the acquisition of a blue-dot, sometimes for really long periods of time.
But for me, switching off wifi causes the phone to go immediately to a blue dot, and GpsCompass (app store free app) shows 25 foot accuracy.
I theorize that if you are within range of wifi that is giving inaccurate hints as to location it confuses the GPS chipset, and delays a true fix. My tests suggest that even a wifi access point that you are NOT using can feed inaccurate hints to your phone.
You could of course register your wifi with Skyhook.com but that sort of buts a bandaid over the problem rather than a fix.
