E75 Major Update?

Greetings
E75 has some serious issues if you haven’t noticed (in the forum there are some posted),
After the phone has been released, the following problems were existed
1. The phone lags badly when you put the animation mode on and you use it regularly
Solution: Turn off animation.
2. "Turn to Silence" and “Tap to Silence” don’t work properly!!
Solution: Turn off those features (one frameware –and the only one- update came and Nokia disabled those features). Or get a third party application
3. Serious Bluetooth connectivity issue with some well known car kits, Like my Mercedes Kompressor kit (and its not just me search it up in the forum and you will find how much troubles that caused Nokia Customers!!)
Solution: buy a Nokia car kit or change your car or your phone [?] :s
4. Calendar entries lags badly when I insert multiple entries in same day and try to navigate through them quickly (Maybe its just me, but it should be a business phone and I expect it to handle calendar entries pretty well)
Solution: I wish I could turn off the animation of the Calendar but I cant!!!
One update came from nokia for that phone, and the only major thing about it is that they “Disabled” the turn to silence and tap to silence features!
So
Are we gonna get those features back “officially”, and will they be working properly?
Are we gonna get our Bluetooth to work properly with our car kits without turning our phone off and on again and delete all the entries in the Bluetooth to reconnect to the car kit and wish it works?
Are we gonna be able to enjoy the smooth animation of the phone (even with heavy usage)?
We want major software update for the E75 to fix all those mentioned problems!!!!

E75 200 series SW (200.12.51, 201.12.01 and 202.12.01) have been around for a while for all unbranded E75 devices. If this update is not available for your phone, then I suggest that you check this sticky topic from this area:

Other people can update their software but I cannot. What's wrong?

firmware version, country, and operator. It may be due to one of these

One small thing - I believe the reason why some of my drivers were messing up was because they were SP2 specific; the older drivers and the ones that were compatible with both SP and 2 were fine.
As soon as I did the reinstall, all of the drivers/programs that were not working, worked (aside from the ones that I mentioned in my attached email above).
So, if after uninstalling the old SP2 you are told that loads of drivers/programs will not work, fear not - most should fix themselves upon installing the new SP2.

Next major update to Logic Pro

Just curious if anyone has any insight on whether Apple is planning a major update to Logic Pro anytime soon - it's been a few years and I at least have not been hearing very much one way or the other.

No one here knows and if they did know they cannot say because it would violate their Non-Disclosure-Agreement.
Apple does not like giving any hints about what is and isn't going to be released.

Major update available for the N9.

My N9 just notified me (Finnish version) that a major update was available along with several application updates.
If your doesn't notify you go into the manage applications menu and check for update from there.

Looks good, I'm waiting for the update on my Norwegian operator branded phone. Usually the operators in Norway is pretty quick in approving after recieving it. Hopefull we are talking days at most
Seen a few more posts on other forums too. Just positive comments as I have spotted. Way to go Nokia!

My updating procedure for a major update

I never run a major update right away. I always wait at least a week or so to see what develops. Most problems I see here are the result either of a specific incompatibility with a third party application or plug-in, or some pre-existing software or hardware issue related to that unique user, which only comes to light due to the stress an update writing many thousands of new files causes. Then, there are occasionally, presumably, as in this instance of font and PDF problems with the 10.6.7 update, bugs in the update itself, which affect the majority of users.
External drives are not that expensive these days. I have two clones on externals and if I'm concerned enough about an update, I can install it on one of these and test it first.
Here's my own updating procedure. Major updates don't come along that often. It's worth going to the trouble to do this.
1. Have a backup so if something does go wrong, you won't be left in big trouble.
2. Verify and if necessary repair the drive from Disk Utility. (To repair, you must be booted from the Install Disc or an external clone.)
3. Disconnect all peripherals except the keyboard and mouse.
4. Download the Combo Update from Apple Downloads. It's generally more reliable to update from the standalone Combo than from Software Update, and the Combo, as it includes all updates from 10.6 onwards, may correct any files that have been corrupted or somehow gone missing.
5. Boot in Safe Boot. Hold the Shift key down at start up. Give it time, it will take longer. (The Safe Boot will also actually check and repair the drive if necessary--and if possible.) Safe Boot loads a stripped down system which may reduce any chance of incompatibility while the update is running. Keep all Applications closed.
6. Repair Permissions from Disk Utility while booted in Safe Boot.
7. Install the update from Safe Boot. Keep all Applications closed.
8. Restart when prompted and give the system up to five minutes to finish the final touches of the update with all Applications closed.
9. Verify the Drive and Repair Permissions again.
10. And then I like to restart again.
One other caution. If you are running updates from Software Update, run them one at a time, never all at once. This gives the system a chance to assimilate each one, especially if restarts are involved, and not choke on them.

ICal need a major update...

I'm a pretty new mac-user, but know my ways around computers! After the major iOS 5 update on my iphone, the calendar was given a landskape view, but without the ability to crop the timeline in week view. I thought, now I finally can see and summarize the whole scheduled week! NO!
The only thing I require is an edge to crop the timeline with. Even on iCal, I found it enoying to scroll through the timeline each week when displays like the ones on macbooks and iphones can view pretty much 24 hours from top to bottom. a edge to crop the timeline in both daily and weekly view.
An other idéa I got was; a button witch says; Don't show the time from -- to -- ; with another [yes or no] button witch says; unless something is scheduled during that time.
It will hide all the sleeping hours if a user only want to see what's scheduled during, let's say 7am too midnight.
I wish to see an update on some of these ideas, because I use iCal and calendar on iPhone with iCloud a lot!

Depending on which Mac Mini you buy, it could have the lastest version of Mac OS X.
A brand new one would indeed have the latest version of Mac OS X.
You can't replace any parts from the Mac Mini to the iBook, you could newtwok them to transfer data between the two computer, a Mac Mini can't upgrade an iBook's OS. They are completely different machines.

E75 Firmware update not found

My E75 is currently installed with the 100.48.78 version.
When I check this site using my productcode it now says that the 110.xxxxx is available.
However, when using the phone the SW-"search" (my phone is in danish and I don't know the english word for the application) teels there's an update available. BUT if I go to the devicemanagement to try and do an update it teels me after connecting to Nokia that there are no available updates ?!?!?!?!?!?!?
My product code is 0582105 if that helps

I'm hoping i may be able to help some of you.
I've been trying to fix this problem on my Directors phones for sometime now. They had the problem where by they would try to forward or reply to an email, it would say 'queued for sending' in the outbox then it would never send! I went through the process of trying to get a software upgrade through the PC suite and FOTA but with no avail, there is no software update for these UK phones (even if Nokia tell you, which is what they told me)
In the end i managed to fix this by getting the original configurations setting sent to the phone. This is basically when you get a new phone your service provider will send you congfiguration setting to save onto your phone so things such as WAP, emails, MMS work properly. Got them sent, saved them, phone works perfect.
02 for example, send the word ACTIVE to 2020 and you'll recieve the settings!
Hope this helps at least someone!

Looks like this IS NOT the long awaited Aperture 4 update we were all looking for and hoping for.
This is being labeled Aperture 3.3
The one major feature addition is the unification of the iPhoto and Aperture libraries and this is the footnote for that feature:
Now I wonder what the ramifications of this unification is? Why have two apps if they both use the same library?

E75 email update select button light flashes

Hi,
I recently updated my email program on my E75. Everytime I receive an email my select button light starts to flash, just like when I receive a text or have missed a call.
Anyone for a sollution on this? It is really starting to annoy me!

Hi, just a tip of things you can check out while you're waiting for the correct answer:
Check if the update has made a new option within your notification lights settings: Menu -> Control panel -> Settings and
General -> Personalisation -> Notification lights.
Check if email is one of the options, if it is: uncheck it.
If not, go through your email settings and see if there are any options there.

Flash Player auto-update fails to perform major updates

I'm managing Flash Player on a large number of Intel Mac computers. I have enabled the auto-update feature. Auto-update seems to work for minor updates (for example current version and update version are both 16.x.x). However the auto-update consistently fails to perform major version updates (for example from 16.x to 17.x).

If your network is AT&T, the indicator has been updated to show 3G or 4G.
Those are really the only updates that affect the 3GS, but the 4S got Japanese support for Siri and the iPad got a redesigned camera app.
You will also be able to download apps that require iOS 5.1, such as iPhoto for iOS.

Major Update Problem - Please Help

So, here's the deal. I purchased the iPod Touch software update (the one that lets you use apps) for $12.99 and I was told, after purchase mind you, that all of my songs and playlists would be deleted if I installed the software. The problem is that the playlists only exist on my iPod Touch and I have songs from so many versions of iTunes that I have lost count (my friends and I share songs all the time), therefore if it is all deleted it will be nearly impossible to piece my iPod back together. Is there a way to backup all of my iPod's data with iTunes so I can restore it after the update?
