E75 & Nokia Messaging not working with Gmail prope...

Hi there,
I'm having problems in getting my new E75 to function with Gmail (I'm using Gmail via IMAP, custom domain and Google Apps) and I'm, therefore, here in order to search some help from more tech-savvy users. The most annoying problem I'm having at the moment is that E75 creates duplicate messages in "sent mail" -folder in Gmail when sending mail from it. I would also be delighted if I could delete messages using my phone so that msges would be moved to Gmail's trash folder instead of "All Mail" -folde. Any advice in getting these functionalities? Thank You!
All in all, I would like to be able to configure E75 mail client to function like a "normal" IMAP client.

A workaround to delete emails from Gmail is to go into Google Labs, enable Advanced IMAP Controls, go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP and switch When a message is expunged from the last visible IMAP folder: to either Move the message to the Trash or Immediately delete the message forever depending on your preference.

I'm having a similar issue. It appears to only impact Hotmail accounts. For me though, this happened without updating the OS. The email client is simply failing to connect to the Hotmail interface. Only two possibilities, either Microsoft changed something on the email gateway or Nokia changed something on their end. Either way, it's not working and has been out of commission for the past week. If this is how corporate friends get along, I'd hate to see what happens in a adversarial relationship.

Details: This is the BlazeDS side of the fix. This wasn't a regression, it probably never worked correctly. So, in the scenario where there's a Producer and a Consumer, and Producer sends a message for the Consumer, there are 2 messages from the server. The ACK message for Producer's send, and the actual message Consumer receives. I found that the ACK message was in small form, but the actual message was not in streaming messages. This was because we never really tried to convert streamed messages into small messages before.

Mail v4.4 not working with Gmail

Hey Guys,
My Mail version does not seem to be working with Gmail. This issue seems to pop up from time to time after browsing the forums.
I've tried going on gmail's website and making sure my mail app is configured correctly, and I've also re-installed my gmail account into the mail program just to be sure all is well.
Can anyone offer any assistance? This is uber-frustrating.......

Update......Somehow Mail sent 1/46 pending messages.....weird.

Non-Nokia headphones not working with N9

Heyo,
I tried plugging my Etymotic mc3 headphones into my N9, but the sound keeps playing through the speakers. The stock Nokia 'buds work, and the only difference between the two is that the Etymotics have inline volume controls. Will these buds simply not work with the N9, or is there some hope? What should I look for/avoid when shopping for new buds for my N9?

I finally found a great converter for non nokia headphones...
I bought AKG Q460 that are specifically made for iPhones and couldn't use the inline mic to talk and even the heaphones had that TV signal sound going thru. i bought a bunch of converters that didnt work. And finally bought one that actually works 100% with my AKG and my N9.

Apple Mail not working with Gmail IMAP

This is a slight re-working of a post of 27 March as I am being driven nuts having to use web mail.
I have used Mail with gMail for years. Last week I was abroad and I could only use the web interface as when I logged in from my MacBook via Mail the message pane was fine (and up to date though it did not open by default as usual) but if I opened any message all I got was 'Loading' followed by the spinning beach ball. I tried this for several days and always got the same result and assumed it was an (atypical) result of being abroad.
When I got home I found I had exactly the same problem on my iMac which was fine before I left home and as with my MB I have to force quit to get out of Mail.
I then when out and after a restart (not the first since the problem) that my MB was OK - but only briefly. My iMac is still stuffed as far as Mail is concerned.
Mail itself does not seem completely broken, for instance I can look at Previous recipients, I can send from Mail and it arrives back (but then I can’t open it). I can drag messages to the Bin, but they don’t seem to stay there. Oddly I have sent a lot of mail from the gMail interface today, but none of them show up in Apple Mail, tho earlier days do.
I do have a lot of messages in sent mail, nearly 6,000, and while I can understand it progressively slowing things down I don’t see that it would cause both machines to fail simultaneously and anyway I don’t want to delete them.
Any ideas? There are no error messages, Connection Doctor shows me as logged in, and I have not found anything via a Google search or in their discussions.

Opps, the * was an OCR error from the screen dump I did not notice.
plus.net is my ISP, but I don't use them for mail normally but I suspect once-upon-a-time I may have had a problem connecting with gMail's SMTP server, so set that up.
I'm actually running Mail 3 (I think the latest version for Leopard, incidentally gmail help is only up to v 2).
Rather than delete the other servers I have set it to only use smtp.gmail, but it still hangs on opening a message pane. Oddly even tho I get the beech ball I can still open prefs.
I can't help feeling the problem is with Mail itself (tho why on two machines at once is beyond me) as the normal behaviour is always to open with the Message pane, but it opens without a window; almost as soon as I open the Message pane it updates with gmail and deletes any message I have moved on the web side. So, only partly broken, but broken enough to be useless!

Messaging not synking with Gmail since thr 20th Oc...

I have a little problem with Nokia Messaging, for some reason messaging does not download any email from gmail since the 20th october, and even if i reinstall the app, it still only downloads the mail from the 20th.
I haven't changed anything on the gmail website since the 20th, well i changed theme, but that should hardly make any diff i guess.
Hope i can get this solved as i use my gmail quite alot

Oh, and just as i have sent this message, i solve the issue, i had a 20MB attachment to the last mail that Messaging synced, and as i manualy removed that email from Gmail messaging synced the latest emails without any problems.
So i guess this issue is solved, but it would nice to have some sort of warning that tells you that messaging cant download anymore emails since there isnt enough space on the drive , or whatever it was that gave me this issue.

Maverick's Mail does not work with Gmail ! it works better with iOS 7

I do know how it's complex to program and more for an OS System.
Maverick's Mail DOES NOT work proprely with Gmail boxes ? Gmail incoming or outcoming messages are correctly notified on my iPhone 5s with iOS 7. But not on my Macbook Pro retina (end 2012) with Mavericks. One update was suppose to solve the trouble.

Have you checked your incoming and outgoing mail server settings?
If you are using IMAP, it should look something like the following:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Requires SSL:Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires TLS
smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465 or 587
Requires SSL: Yes
Requires authentication: Yes
Use same settings as incoming mail server
If you are using POP3, it should look something like the following:
Incoming mail server type: POP3
Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: pop.gmail.com. Google Apps users, enter the server name provided, don't add your domain name in these steps.
Port: 995
Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Outgoing server requires authentication: enabled

NOKIA MESSAGING NOT WORKING ON GOOGLE APPS PLATFOR...

I am not able to configire my email id ************ on Nokia messaging platform. The mentioned id is on Google Apps platform and hence uses google server credentials for the same. I have been using my personal id ********** which is also on Google apps platform on Nokia Messaging and it works absolutely fine without any error. But while configuring************* i get an error saying 'Unable to connect using the information provided' but it doesnt not give me any option to manually intput the Server settings leaving me wih no option but to look out for some other service alternative such as BlackBerry. We are a 10000 employees strong organization and Nokia being one of the most popular mobile phone brand there will be many user who might be facing the same problem. no
Have forwarded the same issue to one of Nokia's key associates(KESTONE) but all i am getting is excuses in reply.
As mentioned, I Look forward to change my handset too N8 but it purely depends on smooth functioning of Email on the same.
Hope to hear from someone with a solution for the same soon.

Also try this, it's just like the desktop version and sets another maibox up for you, but you have to sync manually, I find it useful

Nokia Messaging not working on N97 - Can't seem to...

Hi everybody, this is my first post so I'll try to be as brief and descriptive as possible. I have tried countless email clients; nokia messaging, nokia email, mail for exchange, and none seem to work properly. The email seems to set up properly, it then says the mailbox has been defined and is now in the messaging place where the inbox and stuff is. So after that i would go into the mailbox by going into messaging, then 'hotmail.com' then it would ask me to connect, so I would let it, it would get all my emails from my inbox but when i choose to view them theres no option to display as html.
By the way after setting up my email, when going back to applications and looking at where it has 'Email' and 'Email Setup' clicking on email goes straight to the setup and starts all over again. Isn't it supposed to say 'Email settings'.
So anyway all i want to have is email with HTML, because at the moment when i recieve emails especially from ebay and facebook, it's so hard to see what the email's actually about. So please any help would be greatly appreciated. Please and thanks.

Message not working with gtalk on Mac in office network, but Gtalk is working in the same network on Windows machine

I was using Windows machine at my workplace (Office network), gtalk used to work absolutely fine.
Now I started using, Mac everything is working fine but my Gtalk account configured in Message is not working.
Gtalk is working fine as soon a connect to my home network.
I have tried configuring Nimbuzz and Psi , but of no use.
Please suggest.

Ok, after 40 minutes on the phone with the most patient and helpful Apple tech ever, the problem was fixed. Still not sure what did it though. Basically what I did was this-
Completely uninstalled iTunes, details here:

I even removed all files associated with iTunes, which is further down the same page. Don't worry, you won't have to delete your music.
Then, I emptied the Trash and restarted the machine. I then checked for updates for every single App on my machine, upgraded to 10.6.4, and downloaded the iPhone SDK - not sure how this helped but anyway....
Then I restarted the machine again.
I then verified and repaired all permissions through the Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility)
Restarted the machine...again.
I then downloaded the latest version of iTunes and installed it...and it worked.
Now, at this stage I was skeptical as anyone who has read my first post will know, restarted the machine previously left me back at the start. Well, I just restarted the machine and all seems good.
So, I'm not sure (neither was the tech actually hehe) which step specifically fixed the problem, so you might want to try them all.

Nokia Messaging not compatible with N8 ?

When I want to install Nokia Messaging just downloaded from email.nokia.com website, I get an error message saying that the application is not compatible with my phone ?!!!!
How come ? Did somebody have the same problem ?

Firefox not working with gmail

i tried to load gmail, but the standard view does not load, only the basic html version.
whereas it loads perfectly internet explorer 9 or firefox v4.
tried reinstalling, clearing cookies etc.. nothing changed.
even tried "network.http.spdy.enabled" to false as given on http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/928888#answer-339203 but nothing happened.

This is silly (and stupid). Why should I have to go to IE anything? Firefox worked fine with gmail until I went to this new version (16), I went to the beta version and gmail still did not work. I thought you guys were supposed to be unbiased? I should be able to use one program for my mail and my internet and not lose any of my cookies or services. I went to you guys because I was able to use all the services without any problems, now need two services so I can use my mail (no, I am not changing mail services...I like gmail and have a very set and established email address. It would cause a lot of problems trying to get my friends to memorize a new one...we like the one I have now).
It should not be THAT DIFFICULT to allow access to gmail. Work with each other, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. Thank you, NukeGeek

Messaging not working with one person

I got my LG G3 in December and it has been working great until about a week ago. The problem started relatively small where occasionally a message would tell me it was sent but my girlfriend never received the message. The problem has gotten worst over time and especially yesterday it seemed any message of substantial length would not go through although it would tell me it had, yet any shorter message (>100 characters) would go through almost every time without problems. Starting this morning it is even worse with more messages not sending than do and now it is any length. None of my messages seem to be getting through to only this one person and I can text anyone else just fine. My default messaging app is Messaging+. I thought last night that switching to the normal messaging app might fix the problem But every time I tried to use that app (still with that one person) it would shut down. Messaging+ app will shut down sometimes, but the normal messaging app did not work at all. Could the problem be the large amount of messages between me and this one person, far greater than me and anyone else, or is there possibly another thing I don't know? I downloaded the app Advanced Task Killer and it said there were no problems with the app and I don't have any other options of what I can do. Please help? I would like to not erase all of the messages if possible.

A large number of messages, or messages large in size, basically total size of all messages can hang things up. Back up your messages with a GPStore app. Erase them. Lower your message character size. IF it still continues, its the recipients phone. Both of you should power down, remove SIM, reinsert, power up.

Help! Nokia 8600 not working with my Ford audio bl...

I've got a problem connecting my Nokia 8600 Luna to the Ford Audio on my Ford S-Max 2006 via bluetooth. Whenever I try to bond between the two bluetooth products, I get a "Bonding Failed" message on the Ford CD player display and "unable to bond to bluetooth device" on the phone.
I've asked around some Ford S-Max forums and I'm told that I may need to wait for a Nokia Firmware update for the 8600 and keep my fingers crossed that this will contain and update which will make the two devices compatible. Is this true? Its very frustrating as I have an old Nokia 6230 which works fine on the Ford Audio and I have to switch to using this on long drives! The bluetooth on the smax was an expensive option and the Nokia 8600 ain't cheap either and now I feel like they've both been a waste of money! Please help me Nokia community.

I don't know whether a firmware upgrade would help. You were lucky with the 6230, it had excellent compatibility with a wide variety of car kits. The 8600 is compatible with relatively few.
Ford are factory-fitting some cars with a car kit developed on their behalf by Nokia - if yours is this system, then a list of compatible phones is on the web site (I can't give you a direct link because they use flash presentation pages in the web site, but start here: http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4221246 and work your way through car > car integration > Ford.
The problem with factory-fit car kits is that the car manufacturers get one of the phone/car kit manufacturers to develop kits for them, but they usually don't maintain the relationship so the car kit falls behind as new phones are developed.
