E90 WLAN Logo always on even turn off WLAN Scanner

Hi,
My E90 WLAN logo always on even I turn off "WLAN Scanner" since few days ago after I installed Gizmo (I deleted it already now), its 4 small boxs indicate phone is not connected (I guess). I am wondering if WiFi still on and consume battery?
is't normal? how can I turn it off like before?

I have had the same problem with my E90. What I figured out that a program that used the wlan was causing it to not turn off. In my case this was truphone.
