EA1 Connection errors in Diff Wizard not reported.

If you select a connection in the diff wizard which fails for some reason (eg 1017), the error is not reported and the connection drop down selection is reset.

This is also true for the Copy Dialog connection. I have updated the bug.

Client ADI App File Server Connection error when trying to publish report.

Our users are having intermittent problems when trying to publish reports from their Client ADI process to Excel. They are receiving the error:
"An error occurred while attempting to establish an Applications File Server Connection. There may be a network configuration problem, or the TNS listener may not be running. Nodename:"
The problem is this issue will be present for a user and then for no reason that user will be able to publish reports again. Or several users will get this error and one user will be able to publish reports. The only consistency is when it errors out they get this message. The listener appears to be up and running as well.
We are running 11.5.10.2 and ADI version: 7.2.12
Any helps or tips would be appreciated.

Connection error on win8, but not win7?

'connection error' on win 8 laptop. works fine on my old laptop (win7). bb link recognizes z10 but always accompanies z10 tab with yellow triangle.? I cant sync.
have tried so many things to sort it.
Can i take phone (and laptop) to my service provider (o2), or will they not feel its their job?

Is BlackBerry Link installed in a Windows user account with administrative privileges? If not, could you please try uninstalling it and reinstalling it in this user account? If it is installed in this user account, please have a look at this KB article for more information. Error "The HostAgent is not reporting saposcol data"

- SAP Host Agent 711 Installed
- DAA 711 installed
During SMD Agent Installation (done via > /smd > managed systems > setup wizard), following error raised:
Wilyhost Agent Wilyhost Agent setup finished successfully with limitations. Data of at least one action is not available in Enterprise Manager(solman.xxx.com:6001).

90 seconds after restarting the WilyHostAgent the data of the following action is still missing in EM: SAP OsCol - null
Please check SMDAgentApplication log files for warnings and errors.

When I check the SMDAgentApplication.o.log following found:

Infopath 2013 SOAP Web Service Data Connection - Error: The file is not a valid XML file

Here are the steps to replicate the issue I’m having when adding lists.asmx or any other SharePoint web service in InfoPath 2013. This web service opens fine in the browser from my desktop. My account is a farm administrator and is added to the
web application’s User Policy. I can use these services just fine using Nintex 2013 Workflow.
Open InfoPath Designer 2013.
Select Blank Form and click Design Form button.
Click “Data” tab.
Click “From Web Service” and select “From SOAP Web Service”
Enter https://mysiteurl.com/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?WSDL for the web service definition.
Click Next.
Windows Security window pops up.
Enter a credential. I tried both my account and the farm account. My account is a farm admin and is added to the web application’s User Policy with Full Control.
Click OK. It prompts for credential multiple times.
I get below this error messages:
Sorry, we couldn't open https://mysiteurl.com/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?WSDL
InfoPath cannot find or cannot access the specified Web Service description.
The file is not a valid XML file.
Not enough storage is available to process this command.
We have a project that is in need of these services using InfoPath so any help is greatly appreciated.

For your issue, try to the following methods:
Change your service binding in web.config to:binding="basicHttpBinding". It seems in VS it defaults to wsHttpBinding.
Replace all instances of "parameters" from the web service wsdl with the name "parameter"

Database connection error ORA-01034 oracle not available

Hi
Can some one help me out from this probs. I have a oracle8.15 enterprize edition running on solaris 5.6. It's been running fine since few months from deffent clients. But today its giving ORA-01034 error when i try to connect to database from cliend side. I found that database is up and running and we can access it on server. But from client i am getting the above error. Oracle documentation shows " The operating system variable pointing to the instance is improperly defined".
I would aprreciate if some body helps out of this problem.

Hi,
Oracle uses the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID variables to create a unique shared memory hash key for each instance.
This problem can happen if your environment variables are set differently when the database is started compared to the user who is getting the error. The error indicates that the executable (sqlplus, svrmgrl) can't find the shared memory segment, which means that the ORACLE_HOME variable is not set correctly somewhere.

Syntax errors in WLST are not reported to calling program

Hi,
When there are syntax errors in WLST-script, the calling program will get no information about this.
In our case the calling program is ANT. If the user enters invalid properties it could cause syntax errors in the WLST script. But the ANT task always receive a successfull code back and doesn't know that it went wrong.
What is the workaround for this? How can I from WLST return a fail code so that ANT does not continue?

Hello Martin,
This is a known problem with wlst-jython. One cannot catch syntax errors
programmatically. The only way is to avoid loading properties file
that may cause syntax errors.
I am curious though how can a user enter invalid properties via a script?

I too facing same error in obiee11.1.1.6.2Bp1 version
Earlier Its working fine inOBIEE11.1.6.0 version and just now upgraded into obiee1111621 then the bi composer throwing bi composer invalid connection
I just Confirming below I did
1.Instanconfig file bi composer tag enable as true
2. Extending oracle.bicomposer.template.11.1.1 etc by using weblogic configuration wizard and odbc configured
3. Fmw em update ( host,port,user,password etc on System MBean configuration
4.) also tried to install that bicomposer script file via command prompt still it's not working
Note:bi comppser obiee11.1.1.6.0 version was working fine for me
My current setup having ssl and I am on windows ..already checked oracle not and some blog but no luck ..

I have a netgear router that I am trying to hook up to my emac and I keep on getting connection errors messages on the emac. why?

I recently received an eMac as a gift from a friend. I am having some problems setting it up. First, for some reason, I cannot get my osX disks to install onto my eMac. the eMac tells me the install disk is not bootable. Why would that be? So, I have os 9.2 installed on the eMac. I have the eMac connected to a netgear router, and when I set up all the ip settings in the eMac, I get connection errors. I do not know why. I can easily hook up any windows computer to a router, but when I try to connect an Apple Computer to a router or an ethernet modem, I always get connection errors. Why? What am I doing wrong? In the Apple System Profiler, the eMac tells me that it cannot identify the router. Why would that be? Do I need a special eMac driver for my netgear router? I have tried to find such a driver, but am having no success. I need help! Can someone please help me? I really want to use this eMac! But if I cannot get it set up for the internet, it is going into the junkyard! I really don't want that!

Disable/Hide Data connection error pop ups in InfoPath 2010

Hi All ,
I am trying to hide/Disable Error Messages Shown by data connection error. I do not want user to see the error , rather I would check through rules and query the Data source again.
Is this scenario possible at all.
For ex: I have a data connection to user profile server , if it gives and error on form load , I do not want to see the error popup instead i will query the data connection again.

How would you "check through rules"?
I don't think the error message can be suppressed. If you don't want to query the data connection on form load, untick the box in the data connection settings.

6680 no txt/connection error

Hi there,
I updated my phone from the version 4.x firmware to the latest version of it which is v5.04.07. After updating my phone, i hoped that it would be problem free but it is not. After the update, the phone has got two new random problems which happen/occur at any given time of the day.
My phone now has "connection error" problems or i am unable to send text messages until after 3 or 4 retries and this does not happen with everyone. Only certain people.
Also i've noticed that when i call someone, example my girlfriend, there's a lock just next to the green icon which shows that you're calling someone. What does this lock mean? I am guessing/presuming that it is because of this lock my phone won't dial out to her?.
Also if it helps, my phone is in the Asia/pacific region. I am in New Zealand and the phone was purchased from vodafone.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Also if there's a way to go back to an older firmware, could you please assist me on how to go about that.

I am getting the same error in my 6680 mobile. When I try to call a no. it says connection error and i am not receiving any calls whereas my friends with the same service provider are able to receive and place calls.

Why do I keep getting a server connection error?!

I've installed Digital Editions, but every time I try to authorise my pc it says there is a connection error and it couldn't connect to the activation server. My internet connection is working fine, I've disabled my pop-up blocker, ad blocker, mcafee and allowed Digital Editions through the firewall. Why isn't it working?

As I said, I'm definitely connected to the internet. I've added DE to the programmes allowed through my firewall, turned off the pop up blocker and temporarily disabled mcafee, but the error message still keeps popping up.

Safari date error mmm-dd-yyyy not valid

I have found that running Safari in Rosetta mode, the date error is resolved, or not reported. The web pages seem to work fine. So, why is this. I tried this trick after having a problem setting up VNC access using Remote Desktop. To get VNC working you have to setup RD in Rosetta mode.
